He was able to remove my very impacted wisdoms after I had been told by another dental office I would need to go to a specialist in Auckland. Fantastic experience: Called in after 2pm got an appointment same day where most dentists in area were booking a week in advance. Friendly reception. Cindy and assistant was thorough on examination all with X-rays included under $50. (Cheapest checkup quoted so far) Wouldn't have expected these cheap prices from such a fancy building :-) treatment plan was formulated in such a great way where customer budget is prioritized in offering honest comprehensive treatment options. Fantastic experience: I saw Cindy for a checkup after a few years of falling behind in my dentistry appointments, thanks to covid....but happy to be back on track now. The whole team are pleasant and helpful. I left after having full xrays and a full check and plan of approach which was expected after six years absence. Negative experience: Had a family member in today. For some fillings. They didn't do it properly and family member was in pain..... and they had to try correct it. not bloody good enough! Now she has a swollen face. You could have atleast prescribed her antibiotics. You idiots. People be very careful of this place! When they don't pay attention it will seriously go wrong! If things get infected then there will be serious consequences and will be complaining to the dental council

Fantastic experience: In my long life I have dealt with many dentists. That's why I find it very remarkable to be able to say with a clear conscience that nowhere else have I enjoyed such good service as at Kowhai dental. For example: Last Wednesday, Dr. Matthias Stamm extracted a molar tooth and placed two implants right next to it very promptly in the afternoon. The prognosis was: 3 - 4 days of pain, which was mainly due to the extraction, bleeding, slight swelling and tightness of jaw muscles. In fact, after the local anaesthetic wore off, I had slight discomfort for about 4 hours, so slight that I didn't need any painkillers and the next morning I couldn't feel anything. Today, one week later, the stitches were removed and the well-healed wound was checked. Result: everything went to our complete satisfaction. After various other treatments at Kowhai dental, which were all similarly efficient, I have the impression that this is the standard of this practice and can only recommend it to others. For this excellent service, even the drive from Russell is not too far for us! Many thanks!

Positive experience: Great hygienist appt. However i'd recommend he gives more frequency to allow swallowing. From that aspect it appeared somewhat rushed. Otherwise great service!

Fantastic experience: The team at Kowhai Dental were so lovely and friendly. All smiles. Made my kids very relaxed. When booking an appointment they asked what my daughter’s favourite show was and when we came in they had it playing on the screen for her! They also were the only dentist in northland and Auckland that would see my daughter on such short notice when her tooth cracked. I highly appreciate them squeezing us in. Fantastic experience: As soon as I walked in the door there were smiling faces. I received immediate attention. I’ve never seen a dental place like this. The technology was cool and the detail of photos to show the issues in my mouth just reassured me they weren’t out to rip me off. My dentist was great. Made me feel relaxed. Great recommendations. I had to travel 2 hours to get there. And I’m happy to travel there all the time. I’m going no where else.

Fantastic experience: I had been to 2 dentists in Whangarei before Kowhai Dental for a complicated wisdom tooth extraction, both previous dentists charged me for x-rays and and then told me they couldn't do it and I'd have to go to Auckland. I left it another 2 years and part of my wisdom tooth ended up breaking. Kowhai Dental got me in quickly and it was out in less than an hour. I can't recommend them high enough.

Fantastic experience: Kowhai Dental was such a good experience for myself. I have a needle phobia and when it turned out I would need local anesthetic the hygienist was so lovely and held my hand, While the dentist was just as lovely making sure I felt OK and was doing alright with the needles. Great job with me teeth aswell. I felt as if they genuinely cared. Well done handling someone with the biggest fear of needles
