Negative experience: Definitely not happy I got a filling done and less than 4 weeks later the whole filling came out Update went back to get the filling done and it's so bad that I can't eat on the side that just got done even drinking fluids hurts the filling that just got redone after 3 week's it's so sore I just want to pull it out now !!!

Negative experience: Would give 0 if i could. Absolutely the worst experience at a dentist. Rudest dentist ever. Her assistant seemed inexperienced, fumbly and incapable but probably due to the way the dentist was barking at him. She was so bad. Place was dirty and so unproffessional. I told reception it was the most unproffessional dental visit i had ever experienced. She instantly apologised which made me think shes heard that before. Dont go there! If I hadnt been desperate i would never have gone there but only place could get in for a broken tooth quickly. No surprises why. Have to Sign document to say not their fault if filling falls out. Seems be standard for there.. we see how long it lasts.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Jay today, they fit me in with half an hours notice very late on a Saturday afternoon. Jay was incredibly kind, gentle and explained everything he was doing very clearly. They’ve done a great job repairing a tricky tooth and a great price.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Meena! I have the worst dentophobia and Meena and her assistant made my experience today (broken tooth extraction) the best experience ever!! Absolutely amazing and professional and I will never see another dentist again! Thankyou Meena!

Fantastic experience: Fast and good service. Gave couple of options what to do in the future.

Negative experience: Absolutely atrocious and disgusting, tried to charge my nan a large sum for a filling then also said she needed another one on the other side. She left feeling confused and convinced by a work friend, went to a place in Kaiapoi, who performed the procedure at a much lower cost, and also assuring her the other side didn’t need any filling at all! Unreal and totally unprofessional

Fantastic experience: It was my first visit to this practice. I was very impressed by the way the dentist listened to me, examined my teeth and cleaned them, including removing some staining, with both skill and gentleness. I felt very confident and comfortable with his treatment.

Fantastic experience: I always see Dr Kathy Moon and very happy with her work. Just got a new crown which was colour matched , and everything is looking good. Minimal pain or discomfort during the appointments. Many thanks !

The dentist Mr Suman and his excellent assistant were very friendly, they showed compassion and they did an excellent job. Negative experience: This review is from December… I was told I “could not afford” my appointment because Winz was as still processing my initial appointment cost (I called 22 hours prior to my appointment) so they called me poor on the phone and told me multiple times I can’t afford to see them after I had mentioned I had been through a week of hell in the emergency department from medical neglect and a burst dental abscess and needed to get the ball rolling on my root canal. They cancelled my appointment and sent me into a spiral, I had an anxiety attack and requested they call me back when their staff could handle the situation better as I couldn’t understand her through her yelling and shaming towards me. Hands down worst phone experience I’ve had in my life. They called back the following day to try confirm another appointment and were very persistent to get me in for a consultation but I was reluctant to rebook in for my appointment due to their attitude but due to my severe pain I needed a remedy fast which they said would happen. I paid $80 for the consult out of my own pocket after their abuse towards me for the Winz situation and cancelation just for ME to have to explain everything and for the dentist to barely agree with me about what had happened and he took one X-ray and told me I can’t have my treatment for many weeks later as they’re busy and my root canal can take months to complete. It was not worth the cost of consult. I’ve now had my root canal treatment completed by garden city dental on madras street who were so compassionate and kind and thoughtful and gave me care so far above what G and E dental could. (Your receptionist might have been having a bad day, I’m unsure but she should never speak to people that way, she doesn’t know what they’re experiencing in their day to day life’s too and I promise going straight to abusing them will 100% losing you customers and money for your business.)

Negative experience: This is my usual go to dentist as they let you use your community services card.. When i got there today they tell me mid appointment that they don't do that anymore.. very confused as to why they did not say this before. I would rather pay a cancelation fee of $50 then drive 15mins there and back and pay $80 for a 2min talk for them to tell me something i already knew. I had to get my kids dad to take a hole day off work for nothing... definitely not going back there...

Fantastic experience: His skills were Fantastic. He explained everything From start to finish. 3 times i have gone back. Any mistakes that I have made he has Easily fixed and corrected.

Fantastic experience: I visited G&E dental after not being able to get an appointment with my own dentist. As it was an emergency slot so had to wait an hour or so but the nurse (apologies I can't remember her name) kept me company and gave me many laughs during the entire wait. Extraction was very quick and painless. Would go back for sure

Negative experience: Absolutely livid! Partner had a chipped tooth and went in on March 8 and was told it was emergent and needed to be surgically removed, which meant it wasn't going to be $40 under csc card which we have... He has waited as we didn't have the funds to cover the surgical removal and as it turned we went to ring around to see who had free spots and could do it under the csc card, found another dentist and they said it didn't need to be surgically removed at all and means he has suffered discomfort and pain due them being absolutely useless in there profession and money hungry as a business!

Negative experience: As an existed patient, I hate to give the low rate, but my husband's latest experience with G&E is really upset. He had a broken tooth, it took a week for booking the appointment. However the dentist said can't do the job and still charged $65 for an X-ray photo and a very quick check. We found another dentist and got the problem solved within 20mins.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with the standard of care I recently received at the Hornby branch. They saved a tooth I was pretty sure I would lose. Still have all my own teeth, which is important to me. Thank you for your skilled work!!

Fantastic experience: My visit was very professional, I needed a root canal, was put on antibiotics for me to have time to think about my 2 options that were given to me. At this stage my tooth is fine but I am sure it will need repaired at some stage. This has given me the time I needed, thank you for the expertise. Carolyn

Fantastic experience: I was able to get an appointment at the Rangiora Branch with Alister within 2 days of trying to book and this wasn't a emergency appointment. Alister was very gentle and effective in his dental work. Spoke to me throughout the process and was checking up on me throughout the procedure. It was lovely to receive a call from g&e three days after my extraction to make sure I was coping well, it was a lengthy extraction and I was offered a script for pain relief, the healing process was faster than expected and I didn't get a dry socket. I will be recommending to any of my friends and family who need general or emergency dentistry services. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: Had my dental surgery here for wisdom tooth extraction. The staff and Dr. Fay Yan are friendly and professional. Very grateful that they offer affordable dental health service. Fantastic experience: My G&E dental appointment in Rangiora turned out to be a reasonably pleasant experience, as far as dentists go. Normally I'm very stressed about going to the dentist, but their reassuring, friendly and professional service quickly calmed my anxieties. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I used G & E dental for the first time for emergency dental treatment. I phoned up on a Friday afternoon and got an appointment the very next day. I arrived for the appointment in good time and was immediately made to feel welcome. I was seen on time by Suman who was very professional giving good options for treatment. All the staff were kind and respectful and I will certainly use them again. All in all a five star experience!

Positive experience: I have been several times recently with a sensitive tooth that didn’t really show what the problem was but it was found and the problem solved. I changed to G & E because my last dentist couldn’t offer me an appointment for a very sore tooth for a couple of months but here it was 3 days with very quick appointments each time since then.

Fantastic experience: Had an abscess under a tooth and was in agony Rang the dental practice and was able to get in the next morning at 9am Great service (and I have a real fear of dentists inherited from childhood butcher dental nurses) and felt at ease immediately and was told what was happening at every stage. Tooth broke when being extracted but due to the skill of the dentist was still extracted with little issues. To receive a phone call the next day asking how I was doing was a bit of a surprise but also shows the care for their patients Highly recommend this dental practice

Positive experience: I visited g & e dental earlier this year in February. Had had ongoing problems with my wisdom tooth. The reception staff were friendly and informative nice waiting room. The dentist listened to my concerns, did an exam and then took me to the building next door and did the panorama xray, which revealed the cause of my tooth problems. The price was reasonable. The receptionist, when asking questions, realised this was more than a checkup and prioritized my care... the dentist also arranged for a referral to be sent to an oral surgeon in Christchurch.

Fantastic experience: The people here are amazing. I'm a big wimp when it comes to dentist. I have quite a bit of work to be done. The work I have had done so far was a breeze. They put you so much adverse. Numbing gel before injections help immensely. Then it's just lay back and no worries. I'm not even worried about going back to finish my dental treatments. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Fantastic experience: I recently had a tooth removed and had a new top denture and a partial lower denture made .the whole procedure was a breeze,the dentist put numbing gel on my gums before the needles never felt a thing.the guy that fitted me for my dentures explained everything and they fitted perfectly. Fantastic experience: G&E Dental Hornby provided me with an excellent service when my own dentist was unable to help with an urgent issue which failed to resolve with an infected premolar initially and again after endodontal work whe en I had a reinfection. The dentist Dr Kavooru was even able to see me during his lunch break as no appointments were available. My treatment was efficiently done and all staff including reception were very helpful! The treatment was successful on both occasions and problem was resolved. A great service!

Fantastic experience: Since I’ve been going GE Dental, I’ve seen people who are really passionate about dentistry and for me in general, cosmetic dentistry. This is where I’ve had personal experience with several cosmetic repairs. We all know good shiny well looked after teeth gives confidence and when I first lost and damaged mine I thought that was the end of both. However after treatment at GE Dental. My smile came back and my friends were amazed, because they’d seen the before and after. My confidence now and group conversation has returned to a higher level than I ever thought possible.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with the team at Rolleston when I visited. Faye is very professional and gave good advice and explanation. I'd like to send thanks to the receptionist who rung ACC for me to get my ACC number- I think she was on hold for over half an hour which I just didn't have time to do, so really appreciated that.

The staff were absolutely brilliantl. It's been 12 years since I had seen a dentist so I was a bit apprehensive, to say the least. And from that, there was no judgment whatsoever. Fantastic experience: I have recently had some dental work done at G&E Dental. I was very nervous as I had to have 7 teeth out due to the fact that I hadn't visited a dentist in 8 years. Fantastic experience: Caring and friendly service. Much cheaper than I expected given my appointment was on a Sunday. I could hear the amazing way they handled a very frightened child while I was waiting and was very impressed! I would highly recommend anyone go to this dental service.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Dr Suman Kavooru on Wednesday 22nd of September for a couple of extractions and fillings. In general i'm not a fan of going to the dentist due to childhood trauma with a terrible primary school dentist. I can wholeheartedly say that Dr Suman Kavooru is an absolute LEGEND. He made the whole process stress free and had a natural calming presence; it also helped that I was sedated. The only downside was apparently during my sedated state I told Suman that I needed to go for a 5km run, so it may have been beneficial if he did the appointment on a treadmill instead of in a chair. The receptionist was also very welcoming. Overall I cannot recommend G&E dental enough and will definitely be a life long customer.

Fantastic experience: Extremely well looked after. Very understanding dentist and assistant. Calm atmosphere, especially when I was feeling extremely anxious. Listened to my needs. Fantastic experience: Excellent efficient service. I managed to get in at GE dental within 2 days of breaking a tooth and filling, whereas my previous dental surgery of over 45years couldnt get me in for an appt for over 3 weeks. The dentist at GE Dental Rangiora was very friendly and advised me every step of the way on what she was doing. I will definitely be using them again.

Fantastic experience: Cannot speak highly enough of my treatment at GE Dental. Went in there with a cracked back tooth fully expecting getting it pulled was best and cheapest option. Only for the dentist to declare after having a poke that tooth was healthy and could be saved. NO x-ray or injection required. The sharp ridges of the tooth were ground down to where I had cracked it and filled. Great outcome, kept the tooth, pain free dental and roughly the same cost as if I had it pulled. Winning.

Fantastic experience: To whom it may concern Recently I had to get a very bad tooth extracted I couldn't get an appointment but at last minute GE dental s came through for me . They rang with an appointment the next day due to cancellation . I was very Lucky to get Lucy Foley who was very kind and explained everything she was about to do she checked my tooth and told me she could and would not pull it that day as it would be like pulling it out without pain blocker because the infection in my tooth was so bad it would stop the pain blocker working so I got a 5 day script of antibiotics . I went back 5 days later and had my tooth extracted no problems . Lucy is quiet and gentle and tells you exactly whats shes going to do . I appreciate all Lucy did for me

Fantastic experience: My recent visit to the Rangiora branch was amazing, I was in extreme pain with a rotten tooth and had no appointment but Lucy Foley fitted me in on her own time to help me. She is an incredible person who is caring and compassionate and it makes me so happy to know that there are still some people who go the extra mile to make other peoples lives better. Fantastic experience: I have been to G&E Dentist Ashburton three times in the last few weeks. Twice for my very young son who needed a tooth extracted. He was treated so well and his experience was extremely positive, he even smiled the whole way through the procedure. I had to go last week and was extremely nervous, as I really don’t enjoy going to the dentist. The lady I saw was amazing. She was so kind, reassuring, understanding and just made my whole experience so much easier. I have rebooked with her because I have never met a dentist so lovely before, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to rebook with her again. The ladies at the front desk are also so helpful and really lovely. I can honestly say that the whole experience with G&E Ashburton was very positive and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: My recent experience at this dental clinic was first class from start to finish. I required an immediate appointment. On the day in question a call was made to G&E Dental at 0900 and by 12 mid day I was being attended to by a thoroughly professional surgeon. Both the reception and post treatment experience/contact was in keeping with a brilliant all round service. Well done G&E Dental.

Fantastic experience: I originally was introduced to G&E Dental when I accompanied a very nervous family member for urgent treatment. I would recommend them for that reason alone as the dentists were outstanding...at all times patient, explained procedures step by step and made efforts to calm fears. I was so impressed with the dentists, all the friendly customer service staff and the costs that I changed from the dentist I had been with for many years. The extended hours also make it possible to make appointments at times other dentists are closed. I highly recommend G&E Dental.

Fantastic experience: Recently a quite large filling broke loose and fell out from a tooth. G&E Dentists arranged to see me the next day, before pain set in. The dentist was very efficient and informative in replacing the filling - no discomfort at all. This high level of service has consistently been the case over the 10+ years that they have looked after my family's dental health needs. I wholeheartedly recommend them without any reservation at all.

Fantastic experience: I am deciding to give feedback because I had a pleasant experience both while getting my two right side wisdom teeth out. Fantastic experience: These guys have been incredible. After having a family member turned away with awful words spoken from the Christchurch Emergency department saying she "wasn't worth getting the emergency dentist out of bed for," we called G&E Dental to get her seen to. They did everything the nurse at the hospital said wasn't needed and really looked after her. We will always be so grateful for the professional response, impeccable care and genuine treatment. Fantastic experience: I have a minor phobia of dentists. I came here with quite painful teeth from not visiting the dentist for several years. I had Suman look after me - wish he had been my dentist forever. He did not make me feel self conscious or as though i had neglected my teeth. He was pragmatic - we had a general exam, formed a plan to break up the work into a series of sessions, quoted all the work. Each session, he explains what we will be doing, he regularly checks my comfort levels. The establishment is clean and tidy. There is a TV to watch while being worked on. Great Dentist! Ask for Suman!

Fantastic experience: My appointment was for an emergency repair to a broken tooth. The care and service I received was fantastic, from the lovely, friendly receptionist to the dentist and her assistant. I couldn't have asked for better. The procedure was explained and discussed with me and the treatment was painless. The follow up service was very good as well.

Fantastic experience: I found G&E Dental on Google and was delighted they would see at such short notice. I found their service great at every level: close to my home; superb front desk reception service with smiley courtesy; to a dentist who appeared confident, competent and courteous. The dentist, Lucy, explained very clearly what my dental issues were; the options available and the dental procedures for the option I chose. In all, a total package!

Fantastic experience: I wish to compliment the Dentist at Rolleston, on Wednesday 21st April, who extracted a tooth for me and rendered excellent care when I returned the next day being concerned with bleeding. I also had excellent service at night, on the 21st, at the Hornby Clinic because of the bleeding. Both receptionists were efficient and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I visited GE Dental in Hornby on Saturday 24th in the afternoon. I was told the dentist was running 15 minutes late but I was still in the chair on time The dentist helped me to make the right decision for my broken tooth. The procedure took less than half an hour and was totally painless. The cost was $195.00 which I thought was very reasonable considering it was a Saturday and I booked at short notice. I would come back to GE dental and I would definitely recommend the Hornby practice to all my friends.

Negative experience: One of the WORST dentists around. Went to get a Tooth filled which was done. However since i wear a plate... this is where the problem occured. Dentist bent the plate which no longer fits. So fixed tooth but unable to wear plate now, so No smile and 2 front teeth missing (why i had plate). Was told to get a new plate which was totally wrong as plate sat well before going to dentist. Do not use as they are BUTCHERS. The last good DENTIST they had wad Elliot the female dentist who has now left.

Fantastic experience: I was impressed by my first visit to G&E Dental Rolleston Despite being a 'late in the day' appointment, they were pretty close to on time, only a 10min wait. I've spent 45min waiting at other dental practices! The dentist explained the treatment options to me and why a particular one was recommended. He also advised of another cavity and recommended a checkup to ensure no other issues in my mouth that needed treatment. The dental assistant (sorry if that's not the right term) was polite, as was the receptionist, who was helpful, professional and friendly. Definitely would recommend G&E to others seeking dental treatment or a checkup

Fantastic experience: The team at G&E Dental were fantastic. I had to get a wisdom tooth extraction but it was done in 5 minutes and 100% painless. Do not fear when coming here. I guarantee that after an appointment, your faith in good medical practice will be restored. The prices are good for a dentist but more importantly the service and level of care makes me a raving fan. Thank you!

Having wisdom teeth extracted is one of those things everyone dreads, but I have had all of them removed here, and each time it was fast, professional and care was made so that I was comfortable at all stages. Fantastic experience: The doctor and receptionist are friendly, and the service is very good. If you are afraid of going to a dentist as I am, choose this one and you will not regret. If I knew the place earlier, I would have my teeth checked years ago. The place I went was in Rangiora, by the way.

Negative experience: Had appt for a filling. Took time off work to attend scheduled appt. Waited 1/2 an hr to be told they were running late.Was told to wait another 1/2 hr as an Emergency patient was being seen. Not happy. These guys charge you $$$ if you don't attend your appt, yet muck you round once you're there. Shoddy service

Fantastic experience: Called in on a saturday morning after not being able to sleep the night before, managed to get an appointment same day. Was pleasantly surprised with the cost of the appointment and the service provided. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: My husband has been to G&E Dental twice to have 2 teeth removed, my friend told us about this dental place and we're so glad she did, not only that it's cheap when we use our community services card but the dentists and staff are very warm and kind. They made sure my husband was comfortable and explained everything clearly. We have recommended this place to a lot of our friends and families thank you very much!

Fantastic experience: Always friendly, excellent service from the reception staff and dental staff. Dr Jeong explains things in a way that is easy to understand and doesn't try to sell us procedures we don't need. Well worth the drive across town for.

Fantastic experience: I have no hesitation in recommending G&E Dental. They are fantastic and went above and beyond with my tooth extraction. I was in such agony for more than a week and my dentist appointment was still three days away when my daughter found G&E. They booked me the very next day (a Sunday) and OMG Francesca is the best dentist I've ever had! She paused when I needed to, gave an extra injection when uncomfortable and managed to pull my broken tooth out whole. They even phoned me the next day to see how I was. They saved my life!!! Love, love, love them. PS as it was an emergency and I had a CSC it was cheap as chips too.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth extracted by Dr Suman (Hornby branch) and he was just fantastic. He is very kind, always concerned if you're in any pain and answers any questions you have. I opted for oral sedation, if you're nervous about the dentist I say the sedative is definitely worth it. I was very calm and sleepy in about 10mins & after about 20mins it was all done. Can't even remember the car ride home! Surgery and after care has been brilliant. Reception is warm and friendly. Definitely going back for any dental work :) A+

Fantastic experience: Was seen earlier this week by Dr Suman who conducted the dental assessment for my impacted wisdom tooth and referred me to a Dental Surgeon. Correct diagnose & a good referral/advice is criticsl for any treatment. Mia@Reception was extremely efficient and a delight to deal with

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this Dental Surgery for number of years. I dread going to the dentist but any discomfort is dealt with promptly and I’m always reassured at the moment though my own choice having major work done to try and retain my teeth very happy with the progress so far. Plus my dentist and his assistant are very calming people

Fantastic experience: I thought everyone in the Rangiora clinic was kind and professional. I had a noisy toddler with me because my babysitter fell through last minute and they didn’t bat an eye, so I was grateful I could get my older son seen quickly with the little one in tow. Thanks for understanding.

Fantastic experience: G&E Dental have given me superb service every time I have visited them. They just have a way of making you feel comfortable, let's face it, not everyone likes going to the dentist...right, but these guy's really take the stress out of it. Not only that but the follow up service is really caring and that's something. I have recommended friends visit them before I wrote this review and I will continue to do that.
