Negative experience: Worst experience as an adult ever that i have had at any dentist. Was talked to like a little kid. Brought back memories of a mean dentist i had back in my primary school days that scolded me and hence why i was hesitating seeing a dentist in the first place. Was told before booking everything will be discussed throughout my appointment which was not the case. I had a tool for the x ray shoved in my mouth. While trying to move away from her because it was pushing hard into my inner cheek, was told off like a child that she knows what she was doing which was hurting me. I left the dentist worse off with agonizing pain that the dentist had caused by striking my tooth repeatedly with a metal tool. Once I refused her service she changed her tone slightly trying to offer me a discount after trying to get me to claim the cost with WINZ. They were also shocked to hear I wasn't on a benefit when I said I can't claim the cost which they kept insisting I claim the cost. Would of given negative stars if it was possible.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service front desk staff Nimal made me feel like I just popped in to say hello. My pain was completely forgotton he had such a great manner to welcome patients. My repeated business to stoddard dental is all bcos of him been in NZ for over 35 years more staff like Nirmal will make a difference to his experience if this can be shared with other front office staff. Fantastic experience: Thank you Dr. Modi- been to two dentist for a root canal, one said the tooth can’t be saved, another said do root canal for $2,600 and came to stoddard dental and they did it way below that amount and reasonable too which included the filling. Dr Modi was very patient with me especially with the numbing and with excess saliva. I even delayed my last root canal treatment but she still used her magic hands and helped so much. No pain after the first visit…. Also the male reception, so nice and friendly and welcoming. Good staff and very clean + has after pay- This will be my only dentist. I was very nervous and scared when I arrived, but Dr. Sewthary was incredibly reassuring and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. She performed a difficult procedure with great skill and efficiency. Her assistant was also kind, attentive, and supportive. A special thanks to the gentleman at the reception—his warm hospitality truly stood out. He even arranged a cup of tea with great care for my father while he waited, which was deeply appreciated. The kindness and professionalism of the entire team made a real difference.

Negative experience: This has been the worst experience ever I had a extraction done here the anestesia was done so badly I screamed from pain next the extraction I have never felt so much pain after a extraction they don’t know what they doing .please do not use this service they are inexperienced at this and will cause you more harm .

Negative experience: 3 years later I am having to fawk out money for the 3teeth I actually had done! They bleed all the dam time I payed for teeth whitening they never did that paid for lots off teeth to get fillings but on the day told me they couldn’t afford to do all the teeth they quoted. And payed for! The PERMANENT fillings are coming undone and I look after my teeth very well they rang me up 2years later when I made. A one star review said come back and we’ll sort it out properly didn’t make a date or time then never rang me back again! They also did one side on my tooth and not the front and said they couldn’t afford to as if $1800 wasn’t enough..

Negative experience: The receptionists at this dental clinic are very kind and welcoming, which I really appreciated. However, my experience with the dentist was disappointing. She didn’t seem friendly and appeared irritable throughout the appointment. I even caught her rolling her eyes when my dad was having a hard time understanding her. My dad doesn’t fluently speak English, but he was being very polite, and I don’t think it was reasonable for her to treat him that way. She was too impatient, which made the whole experience uncomfortable

Fantastic experience: Just today (29/12/24) decided to try a new dental clinic as I used to go to Whitecross Dental Avondale, where the service was quite standard. After some googling, I came across Stoddard Dental Square, and I’m so glad I gave them a shot! The service here is excellent. Kanan Piyushkumar Rathod was incredibly thorough and took the time to explain every detail, from the costs of each procedure to the specifics of my X-ray. I appreciated the transparency and care, which made me feel confident about the decisions I was making regarding my dental health. I ended up needing a wisdom tooth extraction due to a cavity, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. The clinic’s professionalism and efficiency were outstanding, making what could have been an uncomfortable experience completely manageable. Another major plus is that they’re open 7 days a week, which is super convenient for anyone with a busy schedule. Fantastic experience: I would rate 5/5 for the below reasons 1. Staff friendliness (Nirmal) 2. Quick appointment based on priority 3. Dr Raanjee is courteous and has good knowledge. My son had a tooth which turned blue, had to rush to ADHB nearby (telephonic)and they could only book me for the next day. I looked for alternatives and booked here. I am more than happy that i reached out to them. Nirmal picked up my call, clarified that my son would be treated for free as he is 11yrs. Booked on the same day at 2:15pm and promised to come back early if possible. He kept his promise and could accommodate us at 12 noon. Some form filling formalities and then we are straight into the dental theatre, Dr Raanjee tried to understand our concern, had a look at the teeth, had to remove the milk teeth which is woobling, took an xray, gave us some instructions for the next day. All went well with guidance at each shage. Thanks a Ton, would highly recommend them for your dental problems.

Negative experience: Scammers. Don’t come here. I called to get a wisdom tooth removal and they assured me they were prepared and their X-ray machine was functioning. When I came, their wisdom tooth X-ray machine wasn’t working and they still charged me $840 for one wisdom tooth removal.

Negative experience: I visited this clinic a couple of months ago. The receptionist is welcoming and hence the 2 stars only because of the receptionist. 1) - I was kept waiting for more than hour despite having an appointment and I took time off from work. Upon asking the reason for this long wait I was informed that the medical and technical staff were having lunch. I'd call this a poor time management, they need to block their lunch and break time in their booking system instead of filling every slot with patients (simply to get business), I'd be more accommodating if this was to deal with any emergency. 2) The technicians and Dr (I think Shweta?) did not seem to experienced or knew what they were doing. Poor communication, no explanation or expression of frustration upon being asked and hence giving blunt, short answers. 3) I want for cleaning, they did a very quick 10 mins job, and charged me $165 and my teeth still have deposits. No explanation or breakup for their charges provided. I was already late for my meetings so did not argue or question that time. 4) My neighbour went to Mount Albert/Pt Chev clinic and got his teeth examined, full oral examination done with x-ray and 20-25 mins discussion - all in only in $80. My only positive experience was with the Receptionist - welcoming and well-mannered and professional - 4 starts for the receptionist. 0-1 rating for the medical team.

They examined me straight away same day and told me whats going on and what to do very clearly. Then I made appointment for a another day and had my teeth filled and gum cleaning. Specially need to mention the receptionist is very down to earth person.I noticed he always been very kind, nice and friendly with everyone. Which made me very comfortable during my time over there with dental pain. I really want to thank him for being such a amazing gentleman.
