Negative experience: My son’s root canal went wrong, only lasted for 3 and half years. Went back to the clinic for explanation and support, we were told the root canal can lasts a couple of years… They should have told us before the treatment so that we would avoid them from the first place. They offered free tooth extraction on 18yo without explaining long term health consequences. How unprofessional. They referred him to the specialist but not heard from them. Would give them zero star if we could. Red flags!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND, avoid this clinic.

Negative experience: I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Point Chevalier family Dentist. Not only did they waste my time, but they also seemed utterly incompetent. Not to mention, they had the audacity to ask clients to perform receptionist duties. Despite giving clear instructions, they failed to follow through on what we agreed upon. It's evident that they have serious issues with communication and professionalism. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this establishment at all costs. I hope there was zero or negative stars to place, they don't even deserve one star

Negative experience: Apologies for the 2 star review but I was quite disappointed with the clean I received. I bought a voucher for 45mins hygienist appointment and was done within 20mins. When I mentioned this, the hygienist explained that my teeth were pretty clean and that there was nothing else for her to do. I have been going for dental hygiene regularly for the last 10 years and this was the least thorough clean I have ever received. The hygienist and receptionist were nice, easy parking at the back and clean pleasant practise.

Negative experience: Not happy...my daughter is just 6 and was less than a 5-minute chat...charged me $40 dollars for nothing...even I know she needs a space maintainer...money minded business...they did not even know whether they should charge or not and both ladies were looking at each others...customers are not fools....

Fantastic experience: Had root canal treatment today by Dr. Ranjee. I was in dire straits of pain !!!! Walked in - no problem for them, they made a plan. I enjoyed the relaxed manner but professional job done. 2nd appointment day after tomorrow. That's ok. She's a pro. Receptionists are super also. Their "reminder" service is excellent.

Fantastic experience: On the 19/9/2023, I visited the ladies at this clinic for a dental procedure, having previously already visited for a quote & an x-ray. For a person with panic & and anxiety, they were all very caring & understanding. Dr Shifa at all times communicated what was happening & not only had a calming caring manner but was thoughtful about my suiation, so only gave me one injection. Poor Jessie's hand tho. I am now swapping dentists , if anyone is on the search for a new dental surgery I can highly recommd the team here.

Fantastic experience: I visited the clinic for the first time yesterday, with a little trepidation as I hadn't been to a dentist in about 2.5 years. (My dentist of 40 years had retired and I kept putting off choosing a new dentist.) Raanjee was wonderful. The work she proposed doing was clearly needed, and she did it really gently. The place was clean, bright and well managed. I'm glad I chose a local dentist, as it'll be easy to visit frequently.

Fantastic experience: I had to come here because my regular dentist didn't have any space and my tooth was in pain. However, I am so glad that I came here. This will be my regular dentist from now on. Not only they have friendly and helpful staff working at the receptionist the dentist was fantastic. Dr Shifa was so gentle and attentive to my needs during and after the procedure. Keep up the great work .

Negative experience: Worse dentist ever, on top rude, and ignorrant my daughter went there for a filling on her front main tooth and they gave her a black filling now her smile (front tooth) sits looking blackish/purple colour NOT Happy now her smile looks horrible as if she has a rotton tooth smiling directly at you, whats worse she is still young only 25 years old moral of this story is they dumped their rubbish black budget filling into her Disgusting of them,, when I asked why has my daughter got a black filling their reply changed twice, first the dentist lady said because we thought** she wanted it REALLY? who on earth would ask for a black filling then a second reply came as because we didnt have any white filling in stock at the time. 0 ZERO rating for this dentist do not trust them. I want them to redo her tooth not done with them everyday I see her smiling

Came for a clean and scale from group on deal rebooked in for a proper check up 8th jan told them my name actually thought my apt was 10 it was 11 I would of waited anyways, they didnt have me in the system apparently someone had cancelled on the mon 6th was not me, notes in there system had said mum rescheduled apt, apt was for me, when I walked in gave my name alice she asked if it was for my son, asked for my surname 3 times very frustrating and she kept talking over the top of me even my son said mum she was rude talking over you, I will not be back ever again waste my time and morning thanks family point chev for a memorable experience.

Negative experience: Had a really bad experience here and won’t be going back. I was quoted $400 for the work and then walked up to the counter and all of a sudden it was $800. I don’t think that is right as nothing was discussed on what was added to the bill. Just make sure you get a clear price before you undertake work.

Fantastic experience: I am new to this dental clinic. And my doctor was really good as I was having pain with one of my molar teeth. The doctor advised me to undergo 4 extensive root canal treatment to which on the end I felt really good. Nice and friendly staff especially Jesse. ~ Zahid Shafi

The dentist explained the whole process and outlined the cost. The procedure was pain free. You can see she is well experienced dentist. I will definitely go back for any dental treatment. Positive experience: i had an unexpected surgical tooth extraction with Molly (I can’t remember how to spell Her name) as my dentist, she was really good. Made the worst experience ever as comfortable as possible, If that makes sense?! She communicated what she was doing the whole time, made sure I wasn’t in pain, and when I was she made sure to numb the extraction point straight away and listened to where I was feeling the pain. When it was getting to much she gave me time to have a breather, which made a really big difference! Didn’t feel like she was rushing me out the door. Couldn’t recommend this dentist more! Only giving 4 stars because it was a tooth extraction . Ahaha

Negative experience: Took my Father in law here. Receptionist was friendly as well as the assistant staff in the consultant room. However, the dentist herself was a bit rude, kept asking if we had the money to pay the whole amount several times after telling us the total cost for the service. That wasn't nice I felt like we were being judged! Anyway, she did her job okay despite having a little piece of my father in law's pulled-out tooth left in. According to my father in law, she was rough and rude, I could also see that from where I was sitting so I kept asking him if he was okay. I have been to other dentists too so I know the difference! I would say the whole service was okay. It would be better if staff could be more gentle and polite with patients. ❗❗For next time, please do not ask if customers have enough money to pay❗❗‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️ just bloody tell us how much you charge and we will tell you to either proceed or not. Negative experience: If I could give it a 0 I would. I came in with a swollen gum and concern about a cavity. They decided to take an x-ray. The dentist was very rough with my gums, like they were hammering into it, and purposefully tried to cause me pain. Furthermore, they were unhygienic by using the opposite end of the tool to hit my teeth. They came to a conclusion it was an infected tooth but tried to scaremonger me by saying the wisdom tooth needs to be extracted, and even the infected one in front might need to be extracted as well. It was very difficult communicating with them and I had no idea what was the problem. When I tried to talk to them about paying via community service card or studylink they had no idea. I ended up going to another dentist the next day because I felt that was so bad. They new dentist took a look at my mouth for free and told me the situation clearly. My wisdom tooth is still under the bone and does not need to be extracted. The only reason it got infected was because I bit my gum and it swelled up, I ate, food got trapped, and the tooth in front got infected.

Fantastic experience: I had a mildly bothersome tooth and wanted it checked. I found my usual dentist had gone on holiday so I rang Pt Chevalier Family Dentist. They saw me right away, found a cavity and filled it the next day. They were impressive in every way.

Fantastic experience: First of all after I think about a year or so I had got my dentures from this very family dentist practice & during my ordeal I was very well looked after from all staff including the receptionists at that time. If I can recall during that time 1 off your staff who was pregnant that did my new dentures was very professional in her roll & I had a great interaction with her. So once again when I visited for a checkup on Tuesday this week & on my way to the Practice I got a phone call & if i was able to come in early which was perfect timimg as i was at the library, Got there & waited for a few minutes went in & in 5 minutes I was done. Thankyou for your generosity and kind service to all involved.

Fantastic experience: I've had such a positive experience at PT Chev Family Dentists: first last year when I had a wisdom tooth pulled and yesterday with a root canal. The staff at the desk made it possible for me to make payments and offered other alternatives. the Dentist was very informative and caring. she did a fantastic job and I am now out of pain. I left my former destist to come back to a warm family atmosphere. I can't recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Overall very pleased with service from Pt Chevalier family dentist. They were easy to book through and very quick in responding to email query. Being a new patient, the practice was easy to find and great parking options. I was greeted very warmly and staff were helpful and friendly. Dr Nikita Verma took excellent care, very professional and friendly and explained all options and procedures clearly. I had a wisdom tooth removed and the entire procedure was completely painless and quick. Couldn’t be more happy with outcome. I strongly recommend this practice and prices reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Had a recent visit for tooth extraction. was met by Dr. Nikita. The service was amazing by her and the team. Got an instant appointment and she gave me very practical and cost effective advise. The procedure itself was a bit lengthy and she made me cofortable, as I was scared of the pain that I may get. Felt comfortable in her hands. Very well done by her and her team. Totally recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I have a cracked tooth after eating some M&Ms. I was very pleased with the tooth repair as well as the cost. The pain relief was administered really well and there was minimal discomfort. It was obvious the Dr was very experienced and felt confident she knew was doing.

Negative experience: female dentist who pulled my tooth automatically thought i was on the benefit then she was shocked that i have a full time job over prices for 1 extraction i was quoted $450 at consultation then she changed it to $720 before it and it wasn't a wisdom tooth as well gum didn't heal for 6-7 weeks later because there was still a piece of tooth left inside i discovered this at week 6 i thought i had an ulcer i touched it and it was hard like a tooth then it came lose so i used my finger nails to grab hold of it and pulled out a 1cm piece of my tooth that was left inside my whole mouth felt instant relief 3 days later the gum was fully healed it honestly was like a horror movie pulling something out like that i was disgusted in myself for ever trusting your clinic i will never ever be back and i hope no one else goes through the pain i went through i didn't reach out to the clinic because she was rude like she had better business then mine i didn't trust her after i left and wont be back ever again

Negative experience: I decided to get treatment here for 'fast braces'. I had chosen this clinic because it had a promotion on at the time and there was a small saving involved. I wish hadn't! With check up's every 3-4 weeks over the next year, it became clear that I was just a dollar sign. Just about every appointment was delayed as they tried to cram as many patients in as possible. When I finally got in for my turn, it was rushed and very unpleasant, the doctor whom I won't mention her name, was very abrupt especially to her staff. There were several instances where I was having my mouth inspected by her whilst the chair was still be declined!?! And they were so rushed they forgot to put a paper towel and safety glasses?!? I mean what the heck is this operation. And three quarters into my treatment my braces slowly started coming apart which is expected but they didn't do anything to repair them and I was in constant pain from blisters and open wounds in my mouth. Theres a lot more I should go on about but I'll leave it at that. But as a last note, its been not a year since my braces have come off and my permanent braces behind my front teeth top and bottom are starting to break apart... this place is a rip off and very unprofessional I WARN YOU TO STAY AWAY update: the crown that she had put on has been a constant issue with causing my gum to swell. its gotten to the point were it has become infected and needs to be pulled. the dentist that I now see has mentioned many times that they can't believe how business can be done like this... Money is there main objective and the care and quality of you teeth and gums are last!

I get a bit nervous going to the dentist but Beverley made the whole experience easy and painless, making sure I was comfortable throughout the session and kindly pointing out what to keep on top of regarding my personal dental hygiene. Fantastic experience: I had been to the dentist once in the last 13 years due to previous traumatic experiences, and required IV sedation to get 2 fillings and a clean. Yesterday Dr Beverley Tam reassured me from start to finish. I was informed of what was happening, frequently asked how I was feeling and was treated respectfully. I got one filling and my teeth scaled just with a local anesthetic! Dr Beverley even removed the glue from childhood braces on my back tooth that had been left there for 30 years. I am very grateful for her professionalism and pastoral care. Thank you.

Negative experience: I didn’t have the “great” experience that everyone else has had . The dentist that I saw came and grabbed me almost 15 minutes late and when we were discussing payment she was very pushy. The consultation was $110 and the X-rays were supposedly $150 and including the payment to get an extraction would have been roughly $500 so “she says” . I asked her if there was anyway I could set up a part payment . She was reluctant that I make full payment and there was no other way that I could set up a part payment. (Keep in mind it’s the festive season and I didn’t wanna pay that amount upfront) . After going back and fourth and I mentioned that I would look for another dental clinic, she decided to mention Zip!! . To make matters worse , we hadn’t even started the actual consultation and I tried to cancel but she said I would still be charged with the consultation fee because of the time blah blah. *Please note* as I mentioned , she was almost 15 minutes late herself and we hadn’t even been talking for more than 10 minutes before I decided to cancel . I don’t know the name of the dentist I spoke to because we didn’t even talk long. My sister came in and said exactly what I said but to the receptionist , the receptionist was lovely and he had gone to the back to speak with that dentist who didn’t even bother to come and talk to us face-to-face but decided to miraculously cancel that consultation fee. Seriously the worst experience I’ve had with any dentist!! she was unprofessional and ignorant! The next day I managed to get an appointment at the White Cross dental clinic in Henderson and had an amazing dentist who was genuinely concern and wanted to help me - she charged me not EVEN HALF the price I was quoted . Will not be recommending the Pt Chev Family dentist to family or friends better yet anyone! I really hope management sees this. Tried to do NO STAR for my rating but it seems like it’s not possible.

Negative experience: I never leave reviews but this place is terrible. Spent almost $1000 to get two fillings on the same tooth and they both fell out after a couple weeks. The rude dentist assured me it wouldn’t happen again the second time.. It did. I will not be going back here to fix it and i don’t recommend this place

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with Dr. Beverley Tam today and after a long time I had a great experience at the dentist . She was calm and thorough, explained everything before starting the treatment and even though I needed a longer treatment , it was pain free and I felt taken care of the whole time. Fantastic experience: This was my first time as a patient at Pt.Chev dentist,I had a filling break along with some tooth that was a very large cavity and quite difficult as it was right above the gum line and deep up into the root,it was over lockdown and my gum was sore and infected,the only way to save the tooth was a root canal.The receptionist was so polite,management helpful&accommodating to arrange safe appointment&payment structure.My dentist was Beverly Tam,she was absolutely excellent,she took her time over several appointments,to do op in stages to ensure my final result would last,each time checking for bacteria an infection,to make completely sure there would be no deterioration from lack of diligence,and her communication,manner&professionalism was very reassuring.I could tell she was skilled and an absolute perfectionist,insisting if I had the slightest discomfort or concern between treatments ,to come straight in to be checked.I felt compelled to write in to recommend her &let her employers know that I was very impressed,I will be keeping her as my dentist from now..I had 2or3 root canals a few years ago in a dentist in onehunga,they did them in only one appointment,I wasn't aware of what was the norm,it was very expensive and they all failed and broke within months which really made me disappointed at the waste of $$ &the teeth had to be pulled,now I realize they were probably done too fast,not carefully enough,and there was probably some kind of residual decay or bacteria that helped from the quick in and out procedure,I feel much more confident with the amount of effort &diligence put in by Beverly Tam,over the 3or4 appointments for the comparable price in fact it may have been less for much more&I feel that if I have issues or complications that she would put them right if not caused by my own lack of care,as it seems she takes pride in her work,thanks Beverly,you had a great manner,cheers Jonathan Bell-Booth.resident of Pt.Chevalier

Fantastic experience: 5 stars is not enough to give Dr Nikita Verma and her stuff. Dr Verma took the time to explain everything before we started. I have really bad teeth because I was terrified of the dentist, she made me feel really comfortable and thanks to her I now have a beautiful smile for my brothers wedding in February Thank you so much. I highly recommend Pt Chevalier Family Dentist and Stoddard Dental Square.

Fantastic experience: Went to see Dr Raanjee, I was treated with kindness and respect. Dr Raanjee had to extract some teeth and I can honestly say except for the numbing I could barely tell someone was working in my mouth. After the surgery I recieved a follow up consult to find out how I was doing. My next check up was to see whether or not I was healing correctly. I am very pleased with the standard of service I personally have recieved.

Positive experience: UPDATE: Went to the clinic the other day for 2 tooth filling, was charged $500 - I was told it was due to pandemic, after reading on some articles, standard price range of tooth filling was only $98-$125.. you can even get a $235 on grab one for a package deal, 2-tooth filling and xrays with polish..but due to pandemic the deals on grab one was very limited.. The service is good but the over price is bad...so I would say don't go to dentist unless emergency during pandemic, wait till after pandemic.. =============================================== If you're wondering where to go and you're reading this, then you're done, you've found it! you'll never regret going here to Pt. Chevalier Family Dentist! I would say, this is the only dental clinic in the world I give 11/10 score! Fantastic experience: Thank you Beverly Tan for fixing my swollen and bleeding gums. I had this problem for a while and it was so uncomfortable. After my appointment on Saturday I feel relaxed and happy now. No more pain, swollen gums gone I can eat normal as it was like before. I would recommend anyone if you need to check your teeth go to PT Chevalier Dentist. I know dentists a bit expensive but it's worth it.

Fantastic experience: After days of pain during lockdown went in and got a broken tooth removed. A stubborn tooth which took longer than anticipated but Dr. Beverley & her team completed the job exceedingly well and with prior warning to expect pain after the surgery, I had the best sleep after 3 sleepless nights. Highly recommend Pt. Chev. Family Dentist and will not be going elsewhere.
