Fantastic experience: Where has this wonderful Alpers Team & the amazing Andersons been all our lives! A huuuuuge relief! It took our middle daughter to experience building her own facial biceps (literally) before realising or even hearing about "TMJ" Temporomandibular joint. The intense muscle pain she was feeling was starting to give her major head and ear aches. (Tensing, teeth grinding) Thankfully after finding them online last night I submitted an enquiry, this resulted in a one stop-shop appointment today. Everything from Xrays, photos, Treatment & conversation about a plan moving forward, were all completed today. We will now enrol the rest of the Tribe, there is definitely something special and calming about this whole place. From when you enter the carpark, reception and into the Treatment rooms, its a warm, welcoming and happy place for all ages! Meeting Jacqui & Nic was a huge relief, their down to earth kindness, genuine love for community & people was certainly felt. A truly amazing couple. Positive experience: Good Price, staff are friendly. My children went through orthodontic treatment there with good results. How ever staff wasn’t very experienced, can be tricky with erratic teenage. I had to email to them about my concerns, they did respond quickly.

Negative experience: I paid them to fix my slightly misaligned teeth, it was supposed to be an quick and easy process, and guess what? It wasn't. They misaligned my teeth even further and called it done, it was straight on one angle and disastrously off on the other angles. the line of symmetry was no longer dead centre between my middle incisor teeth, they made my right two incisor teeth the line of symmetry. They grinded away so much of my teeth with their "polish" that my teeth feel pain whenever I breathe in with my mouth and eat sour or cold foods. They broke the cartilage on my right jaw giving me TMJ disorder now, my right ear now periodically gets an infection where I go completely deaf because of the grinding of my jaw. My teeth now have massive gaps between them where there is supposed to be gums which have receded away, because of this experience my facial structure has gone from symmetrical to unsymmetrical, my hair has started to bald due to the stress of all this and I no longer feel confident walking outside or taking a picture without hiding my face. For these reasons I have concerns regarding the knowledge and professional experience of their staff, the owners included. An example is when one of my brackets broke off during the Christmas/new years break, it was so painful and when I consulted to the owners via text message, they said to CUT the wire holding the brackets together. Absolutely ridiculous, the whole point of braces is to align teeth my putting stress on the gums to loosen its grip on the teeth and holding everything together is the wire, cutting it would warp the teeth even further. It feels like they don't know what they're doing, its like they don't care about the customer's health and wellbeing. Which is most likely the case as they also scammed me financially. As part of the contract I was paying them per session a predetermined fraction of the total amount each time. They refused to print me a receipt and claim that they send the receipt via email, guess what? They never do. Each time I complain about this the receptionists play dumb refusing to admit their fault, because of this I had to pay for the payments that I had already paid for multiple times. Each time they played dumb saying "You haven't paid, You haven't paid" when I already did. This has of course gotten worse, as part of the contract: emergency repairs where the retainer has detached itself from the tooth would be free of charge, well surprise surprise, now they're charging $65. $65 for something that's supposed to be free, ridiculous. Their emergency repairs aren't even that good of a quality, the retainer that I just got fixed a little over a week ago is now broken again, it's the Christmas/new years holidays so they're closed again. Great. For those that are considering places to get your braces done, this one is a big no go. There are other better places like Turner Lim Orthodontists which are way more reputable, don't learn the hard way like me and choose more wisely.

Fantastic experience: took my son today to Alpers Dental and that was our first time going there as soon we exit the elevator he looks around and he saw a little room in the corner that has some toy inside he ran into that room and start playing while i was sitting in the waiting room waiting for his name to be called i’m so grateful that Alpers have this for kids it’s also help us parents my son also make friend with the two beautiful dentist who did his tooth maintaince today he was happy and also communicate with them until the end i’m so happy with the outcome of our appointing today very friendly staff in Alpers Dental my son have his second appoinemt in two week and we can’t waite to Visite Alpers Dental again I also forgot to mention that Alpert dental have the best and beautiful waiting room ever so colourfull and the area is so big and clean .

Positive experience: Love finding out that the wire that’s permanently glued to my bottom front teeth hasn’t ever needed to be there… good way to ruin teeth and make more money… as these wires snaps and the glue chips off… Instead of paying $195 for a clean, I asked for the teeth with the wire attached to be cleaned. Only two of teeth have been cleaned. $170 to have 2 teeth cleaned and two spots of glue… I was pissed, 15 odd years ago, when we found out this wire is to be permanently in my mouth. But I’m even more pissed at finding out that I didn’t need it. The damage the wire has caused my teeth is appalling

Fantastic experience: Wonderful,friendly, highly disciplined surgeon and assistant preformed a flawless amalgam (food catcher) filling replaced with a super comfortable composite (white filling) all done in under an hour on a molar tooth. PS the French /Canadian banter between the two added to the calming experience. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Agustine and another dentist were fantastic. They did a 3d model of my sons teeth for a space maintainer to be made as he's scared of getting a clay model of his teeth. He's only six. They were great at talking to him and had him doing everything for them like aln angel. Excellent job.

Fantastic experience: Miss 15 had her first orthodontic appointment with Alpers on Thursday and to say it was amazing is an understatement!! We felt super welcome from the time we walked in the door. We felt very comfortable and were constantly reassured during the visit. The process, treatment plan and alternative treatment options were clearly explained. All our questions were answered in a calm professional manner and we felt like no question was a stupid question. Positive experience: I don't have many dental services to compare how good the practice is, it's nice, clean tidy and does the job, but my main reason for the low rating is that my dentist has been late twice to my morning appointment which is a real shame. I thought they would say sorry for being late too, but they don't...the only other thing is that I wish that they had better bike parking facilities as I feel like a second class customer when I have to chain my bicycle to a fencepost.

Positive experience: Great dental team and great offices; super friendly staff however I didn’t know that none of the practitioners are specialist orthodontists. They are orthodontist auxiliaries meaning they follow orthodontist training but none of them have the qualification to be specialist orthodontist. It became apparent when my daughter’s front teeth got misaligned after 2 years of wearing braces. The wire that had been put in place broke leading to the misalignment . We were told that she had to have a partial wire on her front teeth. What was supposed to be a quick fix turned out to be a 4 months ordeal with weekly visits. One of the issues is that we were seeing a different practitioner every week some of which were very inexperienced. Her front teeth ended being square with protruding canines on the sides. I started to be very concerned, we were then assigned to an experienced practitioner Queen, who is now in the process of reshaping my daughter’s teeth alignment with full wire etc. The practice has been very fair and the work to realigned the teeth has been complimentary but was it necessary?

Fantastic experience: I’m super happy with the results from my clear aligners so far! Alpers took the attachments off for our wedding day, and for our honeymoon too, at no extra charge. Fantastic service!

Negative experience: Been long term clients of Alpers and love the people. My eldest has been a patient for 4years. She has not been seem in over a year as her expansion is complete but she still has a baby tooth. While i understand there's not much they can do until it falls out, Nic literally took 3sec to look at that that baby tooth, not even in the chair, just on the bench. I feel like she should have had a full check up since its been so long. Other than that the ladies are wonderful.

She explained everything carefully and outlined several treatment options for me. Alpers also allows you to pay off your bill interest free. That's so convenient especially leading up to Christmas The office staff were friendly and helpful. There was easy parking directly beside the building. Negative experience: I normally see dental hygienist every 6 months, but my visit to this particular dental clinic Alpers was my worst experience in Auckland. I made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned. I was provided with the service of a hygienist who performed very poor and unprofessional procedure for my teeth causing a lot of damage. She suggested a “sand cleaning”, and after that procedure my gums were left so damaged and sensitive, that I could not eat for the next two days. On top of it, she could not remove all the plaque from my teeth. While I had no issues with teeth clean in the past, this hygienist said that my gums were too sensitive and she was not able to complete the work, of course they already were bleeding and damaged. Later I asked for a mirror and saw that one tooth was chipped after this procedure. I was very upset, the clinic did not admit their guilt, the hygienist said that the chip was already there. This is the worst clinic to book a teeth clean with incompetent hygienists.Please see a photo after the procedure.

Fantastic experience: Grandson has been treated at Alpers for the past four years. Palate extensions and then orthodontic braces. Always a pleasure to visit. Carno, well trained staff who encouraged a young boy/man through the process. Easy access, and parking. Would highly recommend to anyone needing assistance.

Fantastic experience: My daughter initially had orthodontic treatment at another clinic several years ago, but recently, she required re-treatment due to a relapse. Naturally, she was quite concerned about the process. Upon the recommendation of friends, we decided to seek a second opinion from Alpers Dental. Dr. Nic and Dr. Jacqui were incredibly kind and patient, taking the time to explain every aspect of the treatment in a professional and reassuring manner. The waiting room's warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. As a result of our visit, my daughter left the clinic much happier.
