Fantastic experience: I've been the first to admit I'm not a fan of being at the dentist. But having had three appointments with Hinemoa Street Dental, one with a hygienist, and two with Dr Tayne, I have reversed my thinking. I was treated with care and respect from the moment I made the first booking. I feel 100% in good hands. With Dr Tayne I had a full assessment and discussion about what my teeth need to achieve dental fitness. It was clear Dr Tayne is honest therefore trustworthy and her easy, kind manner put me at ease right away. There was space in the conversation to make decisions and she made it clear that when we work our way through the comprehensive plan, that there will be ongoing discussion and consent. She is consistent about checking in during treatment and is clear about what will happen as it's about to be done. My gums are also not well, and Shenaya, the hygienist, I saw, kindly hand cleaned my teeth so as to not disturb the gums too much. I was incredibly grateful because I would not have coped with the ultrasonic scaler that day. They even provide an aftercare call the following day. All in all, this ticks all the boxes for how dental treatment ought to be and I'm now willing to go back for more.

Fantastic experience: I can thoroughly recommend Dr Jae Choi as an excellent, superb dentist. I have been to him twice now. He is very very gentle, in his manner, in his approach and in his words. He shows total respect, professionalism and kindness towards his patient and explains everything as he goes, making sure I understand. Most importantly, he makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed during treatment. I was very nervous before my first visit, but now I have no fear or anxiety in my dental treatment at all. His assistant was also very respectful, professional and kind. The receptionist is superb. This is an exceptional dental clinic and I have no hesitation in r this recommendation.

Fantastic experience: Hi I had dental surgery 2days ago and I'm healing very well, no pain from top right extraction, only from bottom left , but it's manageable and better each day! My husband and I are singing Jae’s praises!! A few weeks back Jae removed my husband’s wisdom tooth, Hubby had no pain during his wisdom tooth recovery period, healing so fast!! In 2023 Jae removed a wisdom tooth root that was imbedded in my jaw bone and so close to nerves that nobody else would touch it, it had been there for 12 years and Jae was the only one that made me feel confident that it could be removed safely, and he pulled it off with flying colours!! It’s all healed as if it never was an ailment!! Jae is absolutely amazing and such a credit to your practice!! Jae is warm, funny and down to earth with pristine skills and methods and has a great right hand lady, they work well together and give such a warm feeling to usually such a scary situation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Hinemoa St Dental for yet another great dental job with Jae

Fantastic experience: Popped in yesterday to book in for some dental work and hygienic cleaning. The reception staff were lovely and the lovely young lady on at front managed to get me a booking with Shanaya the next day ( I was on standby, she phoned me in the morning to see if I could make it). Shanaya was lovely, precise and did a great clean, efficient and gentle hands with much consideration always checking in I was ok during the whole process (I recommend her services for Professional Teeth Cleaning). Fantastic experience: I recently had major dental work done with Jenny and her amazing team, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience. I had three extractions, two root canals, a crown, and a filling (2 appointments). I was extremely nervous leading up to the procedure, but from start to finish, I felt completely taken care of. Norm, who handled the IV sedation, was absolutely wonderful. He was not only professional and knowledgeable but also warm, caring, and attentive. He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, even getting me a blanket when I was cold. The procedure felt like it flew by. Jenny and the dental nurse were phenomenal. They worked with such precision and care, and despite the amount of work done, I experienced very minimal pain, swelling, or bruising afterwards. It honestly exceeded all my expectations. I would highly recommend this incredible team to anyone in need of dental work, especially if you’re nervous about it. They made what could have been a scary experience into a genuinely positive one. Fantastic experience: I knew about hinemoa dental clinic through google i was in pain and i couldn’t get an appoinment with my previous dentist so i emailed them and quickly the medical receptionist Jackie phone me she was very friendly and helpful she made extra effort to get me an appoinment even for a short notice. I was seen by Dr Jae choi he is very warm , approachable and very helpful he explained to me in detail of what was my dental issues he gave me different options for treatment without pushing anything. Pricing is reasonable too compare to other clinics. Highly recommend this dental clinic

They have high tech equipment and I especially like the fact they have the equipment for doing a crown all on the same day, no having to have a temporary crown while the permanent crown is being prepared. Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Hinemoa Street Dental enough. I booked in to see the Dr Soo-min for an emergency assessment back in October of this year and she did a thorough examination of my dental needs to alleviate the discomfort I was experiencing. We booked in three appointments to get a composite filling and a crown filling as well as a booking to see their fabulous dental hygienist Shania. I normally dread going to the dentist but have found I've enjoyed my appointments to date. The level of care, consideration and bedside manner by these wonderful people have had a positive impact on my experience and I feel the pricing is fair and reasonable as well. Their reception team (hi Jacqui) are really wonderful as well. Thanks so much Hinemoa Street Dental, I look forward to seeing you for regular check ups in 2025

Fantastic experience: Dr Jae did my wisdom teeth extraction 2 days ago. I was in and out with a CT scan, IV sedation and 4 wisdom teeth removed (2 of which were impacted) in less than an hour. All with minimal swelling and no pain during the procedure and recovery. Him, the anaesthetist and all the other staff were so caring and kind which helped with my nerves. Dr Jae is very professional and I felt like I was in extremely capable hands the whole time. I had a very positive experience here and would 100% recommend this place to anyone especially those who have a fear of the dentist.

Negative experience: This will be long... I was ready to give a shining review to Hinemoa Dental. But after my last visit that will not be the case. I want to start by saying their receptionist Jackie (i hope that is the correct spelling) she is an absolute pleasure and was very caring and helpful throughout this time. So, some back story - I had my lower wisdom teeth removed a few weeks ago and the procedure was performed by Dr Jay. The actual procedure was fine, I had no complaints: I was comfortable and felt no pain. But keep in mind, I love the dentist, so my pure excitement may have contributed to the way I felt. I visited Hinemoa Dental twice after the procedure - the first time i emailed about bleeding which continued more than 24hrs after removal, I was advised by Jackie to come in later that day where i was again seen by Dr Jay, and he reassured me that everything was looking good and bleeding had now stopped. Moving forward to day 5 post procedure; I had terrible pain on the left side of my face, whereas the right side was significantly less sore. I decided to wait it out and see if anything improved. By day 10 the pain on the left side hadn't gotten any better, but the right side was practically pain free. I decided to call the practice and was greeted by Jackie. After explaining what I felt [Radiating pain into my ear and my other teeth, tooth sensitivity and pain that wasn't going away with medication] She again advised I come in. This is where everything changed. I saw Dr Jay again, and explained what I needed to. After he took the photos and told me it all looked okay, he proceeded to ask me if I had read the information sheet that I was given after the procedure. I said yes, while wondering what this had to do with my pain. He then pointed to the paper which says "you may experience swelling, discomfort and bruising in the area for the next three weeks to a month" and in the most patronising tone read it out to me. I was stunned by the way he spoke and went on to say that the pain I'm feeling isn't getting better with medication, whereas it was before. He again repeated himself saying "it take 3 weeks to a month" and I said yes I understand, but I'm not an expert and I've never had my wisdom teeth removed, I don't know what the pain should be, so isnt it better I come in and get answers. He again pointed to the paper and added "it's too early to tell" at this point I was visibly upset, and I told him that the reception had asked me to come in. I didn't ask to be seen, so if they thought it wasn't necessary why would they require me to come to the practice. He just continued to repeat himself like I was stupid. By the end I just grabbed my bag and walked out. I couldnt believe how disgusting the treatment i received was. He made me feel like i wasted his time and on top of that like i am stupid. It is people like him that make it daunting for patients to speak up when they feel something is wrong or when they feel uneasy. What needs to be understood is in most cases your patients are not experts in the dental field and would probably be told to not self diagnose. So when you have a patient call the clinic and then proceed to follow the advise of the clinic representation (the reception) how do you justify treating them so horribly? I guarantee if I had waited then finally decided to come in (and something was wrong) he would of said "why didn't you come in sooner". At the end of the day I did what I thought was right, and I followed what the information sheet said as discomfort and pain are very different things. Also Another issue i needed to talk about but was too upset to mention, was a bit of swollen gum i had next to my back molar, which is red and painful and has what looks like pus coming out. Now my question to Dr Jay is, do i come in or should i wait till the month is up? Because of this i will never go back to Hinemoa Dental, even if you paid me. *This is just the experience i had, and the way i felt. I hope other people never experience the same belittling treatment.

Fantastic experience: I don't think anybody actually likes going to the Dentist or Dental Hygienist, but it sure helps when you're treated by lovely people who seem to genuinely care. I visit Shanaya (Dental Hygienist) at Hinemoa Dental twice a year... she's always pleasant, gentle and encouraging, and reassuringly knows her stuff and uses the latest technology. I would thoroughly recommend Shanaya, my Dentist Mayank, & this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I have most recently had dental work done by Kelly who has explained everything along the way. Helped with what appointment I will need in the follow up. The wait time was always short and the receptionist very helpful As I have been with this affordable Dentists for many years I have also visited the hygienist who is helpful and knowledgeable. Affordable Dentists have very caring and professional staff who I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: The team at Hinemoa street dental are friendly and very accommodating. I just had a filling done by Dr Jenny and she was so gentle with the treatment. She also explained my dental issues in an articulate manner via pictures, xrays and answered all my many many questions. Highly recommend!
