Auckland Family Dental: Milford

Fantastic experience: I rang this morning and immediately made an appointment for 3pm. I am pregnant and having problem with my gums and teeth due to hormonal changes. Arrived in the clinic in pain and was taken care of Nick and Dr. Kelly with series of actions taken place one after another ( Xray, photos and deep cleaning with local anaesthesia). As a healthcare provider myself I felt like they are very knowledgeable with what they are doing and very thankful with the superb service and assurance that I get in an affordable price. I felt instant relief at the moment. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

He had extreme pain and they were able to see him the next morning which was so comforting when no one else could. He has said reception was so helpful and the whole wisdom tooth extraction was made as easy as possible and he felt reassured for someone terrified of the dentist. Fantastic experience: I’ve been bringing my kids here for years after trying several other dentists, and this practice has been the best by far. The dentists and hygienists are kind, thorough, and great with both kids and adults. They recently removed an extra tooth from one of my children with no pain or stress, and an orthodontist later confirmed it was the right decision. Dr. Grace took amazing care of me during my own treatment, explaining everything clearly and gently. The reception team, Nick and Caroline, are also fantastic and keep everything running smoothly. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: I recently visited this clinic due to tooth pain, and I really appreciated the clean, welcoming environment and the friendly, professional staff. However. I did end up needing three separate visits before the actual issue was identified. On my first visit, a localized X-ray and photo were taken, and I was advised to get a filling. This was even after i have explained that the pain comes from different sources and I couldn’t pinpoint which specific tooth is the root cause. Unfortunately, the pain continued after the advised filling, and it wasn’t until the third visit—after a full X-ray—that we discovered a different tooth actually needed a root canal. The amount i paid was not cheap and still ended up in pain. I also feel like each appointment was rushed. While I understand that dental diagnosis can be a step-by-step process, I do feel that a more thorough check in the beginning might have helped avoid repeated treatments and multiple payments for a problem that wasn’t fully resolved until later.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kelly is such a great person to be extracting wisdom tooth. I was so fortunate to be operated by her. I was extremely anxious and she guided me through the whole process and put me at ease. Her instructions were spot on and she managed the whole process of pulling 2 at a time with so much dedication and professionalism. Thanks a lot once again

Fantastic experience: We booked an appointment yesterday at 2:15pm but my husband was in great pain with his wisdom tooth. We walked in at 9am to see if we could get any help, lovely receptionist Kam was able to assist us and squeeze us in for an emergency booking. Dentist Soyeon Oh was so lovely explained everything to us and was able to remove the wisdom tooth. Really happy with the service and also very professional, thank you again for helping us in time in need.

As much as it can be a relaxing experience, and with your mouth out of commission, the one way conversation with the dentist is quite soothing.

I am so relieved and grateful to have found such an awesome hygienist.

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Kav at Milford Family Dentist. I recently had two teeth extracted, and I must say, it was the best dental experience I’ve ever had. In the past, extractions were a long and painful ordeal. I’ve had another dentist struggle to remove my teeth, leaving me feeling like my jaw might break during the process and extracting one tooth for over 30 min and my teeth has to be cut etc… a torture in one word. When I visited Dr. Kav, I was mentally preparing myself for another hour of torture. To my surprise, the procedure was incredibly fast, smooth, and completely pain-free. I didn’t know tooth extractions could be done so easily! In my personal opinion, tooth extractions might be better suited for male dentists as it does require some strength but it’s my opinion only. I highly recommend Dr. Kav—he’s a wonderful dentist! Additionally, the team at Milford Family Dentist provides excellent service, from booking appointments to follow-ups. They are very efficient, and the entire experience was seamless. Thank you, Dr. Kav, and the Milford Family Dentist team!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Auckland Family Dental! Without realizing they formed part of a young man's recovery after a traumatic brain injury. Nick went above and beyond to get us to Dr Kav. Kav and the other staff were so compassionate, and caring and went out of their way to accommodate my son's needs. You can't go wrong going to this dental group.

Jane is also really helpful in making sure that I was taken care of, putting Friends on Netflix while waiting for my extraction and Joy really checking out if I am comfortable. Dr. Kav was really an expert and got my wisdom tooth smoothly and quick! Left the clinic less than an hour!

He is an undeniably likable man who will go above and beyond to provide his clients with the best possible dental care. Grace is another gifted dentist; her attention to detail in cosmetic dentistry has made all the difference for me - she's produced brilliant results. My hygienist, Tiffany, is always welcoming and has turned a routine clean into a pleasant appointment!!! Nick, meanwhile, knows the practice inside out and is always 'plugged in,' being 'on it' without fail to ease clients through their requirements seamlessly. I recommend these guys to anyone. [Especially those who dislike dental visits!!!].

Fantastic experience: I came to Auckland Family dental to get a quote for a wisdom teeth removal. I had gone to the emergency room a couple of days ago somewhere else and everything told me that I needed a referral and to pay a very expensive price. I sought a second opinion by coming to this clinic and I was amazed by their service! I was greeted at reception by a lovely guy called Nick, he guided me through the entire process and I even told him that I had forgotten the X-Ray and he was very understanding that he didn't charge me for it again! I then went on to my consultation with Dr. Kavendra and it was truly a 10/10. He was very kind and honest with me about the prices, he even offered to have the surgery just a few minutes apart! The truth is that starting the surgery I was very nervous since I had had a very bad experience before, but Dr. Kavendra and his assistant made me feel confident and in good hands. It took him only 40 minutes to remove 3 wisdom teeth! I was surprised of how professional he was and how quick ! It even had a television on the ceiling and headphones! I would 100% continue treating my future dental cases with them, and I totally recommend this clinic for the service that their team provides and clearly a special mention to Nick, Doctor Kavendra and his assistant for the good experience I got that day and even for the contact we continue to have after my operation!! Excellent customer service and what a professional dental service !!

Fantastic experience: Was very uneasy at prospect of several crowns being required. Therefore totally amazed at the 4 being able to be done in the same session. There was no pain and the technology so very impressive. Next day totally recovered and family members also extremely impressed with the efficiency and expertise shown without any need even for any “follow up” appointment.

Fantastic experience: I have always been self conscious of my lower teeth and was unsure whether to get braces or aligners. After a thorough explanation by the team I decided aligners would be perfect. This is one of the best decisions/ investments I have ever made when it comes to my health and well-being. Fantastic experience: Nick and the team were really professional and gave me great advice over the phone. This lead me to calling up the original dentist I’d booked with and going with AFD- Milford. Considering how painful my tooth was, I felt nothing during the extraction. I would however take painkillers as soon as you leave clinic as it can be a bit of a shock when the numbing injections wear off.

Fantastic experience: Had to have an emergency tooth extraction under IV sedation, this was the only place who could get me in in the same day. From Nick who took care care of me right from the first phone call to Dr Kelly who came in on her day off to see me and do the surgery. Negative experience: Hard to find a good dentist. I had very bad experience with Kaendra Naidoo. He couldn't diagnosed right my problem with teeth. After his service, I got operation at Middlemore Hospital and lost 4 teeth because of inflammation. I would never recommend him to anyone

Sorry I didn’t catch any names as I was in a shock mode after seeing the kido came out of the pool with bloody mouth and crying. I tried to call heaps of dentist around and they are either full or closed. Ironically those called emergency dentist said they are fully booked. But you agreed to take us in even though when we arrived it’s only 5mins till you close. We are so grateful. Thank you so much!!!
