Fantastic experience: My first time giving a Review, and The Dentists definitely deserve it! Brilliant customer service from my first phone call, and very helpful with a WINZ Quote, and getting me booked in. I am old school nervous about Dentists, but Sean talked me through every stage of a painless session, and had my best interests at heart. A truely professional business.

Fantastic experience: If I can avoid the dentist experience I will, but if it needs to happen I am very happy to have the Taradale Dentist team helping me out! They are very caring and supportive and they take the time to explain what needs to be done.

Fantastic experience: The Dentist, Taradale is a very well equipped professional dental practice with the latest technology, whose friendly staff go the extra mile to explain my dental care, solutions and treatment. Recently, I had to have a crown repaired, which previously would have taken 3 weeks. Rather than having to make a mould and send it to a lab to have the replacement crown made, photos were taken of the area to be repaired, edited by Sean, and sent to a 3D printer which I watched make my new crown. What previously would have taken 3 weeks to have done was completed in less than an hour using the latest technology. Excellent prompt service. Highly recommended.

With my last visit they squeezed me in for an emergency appointment so I didn’t have to go on a holiday with toothache. Everyone is very professional and the dental care is excellent.

Fantastic experience: So happy with my new dentures made by Dr Sean and his assistant Kelly. I was a little worried that getting a new set of dentures would mean they wouldn't be as comfortable. However Sean made sure he talked me through every step and that we were all 100% happy after each appointment. Even down to choosing the colour of my new teeth. They were very patient and I never felt rushed out of the chair - as I have at previous dentists. My new dentures are perfect!. Thank you team - I am so grateful to have my smile back.

Fantastic experience: All staff are very professional and welcoming. Jodie and her assistant work well together! Jodie explained everything very clearly and friendly, making you feel comfortable. Sean and I discussed a plan they created for my dental care which included pictures/scans. They made it very easy to understand and affordable. Sean was able to answer all my questions and guide me through the process. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Sean also released my tongue tie, he made it very quick and easy! I can honestly say this was the best dental care I’ve received, such a lovely environment.

Fantastic experience: Wisdom teeth removal I had my wisdom teeth removed by the absolutely wonderful Mei and it couldn’t have been a more smoother experience for me. I had all 4 removed 2 of which were impacted and had been quite nervous prior to removal, however there was no need for panic at all. Mei and her lovely dental assistant made the procedure so comfortable for me. I was put under light sedation which I was more nervous for than getting my teeth removed but again was really well looked after and was proved wrong with how easy and effective it was. You’re also given local anaesthetic where you won’t feel a thing! Recovery has been great for me too (of course everyone is different) really manageable pain as long as you do all of the steps correctly after your procedure, you’re given a clear list of what you need to do too which is super helpful. Thankyou again!

Fantastic experience: Sean Phillips is nothing less than a master of his craft. At my initial consultation with him for invisalign he instantly recognised what had been causing my teeth to revert back to crowding – something that had been missed completely by other orthodontists over the course of 2-3 years of prior treatment (braces). We are extremely lucky to have someone of his calibre and level of expertise working here in Hawke's Bay. Also special shout-out to Jody who joined the team during my treatment and helped to oversee my excellent results. I'm so happy with what has been possible to achieve.

Fantastic experience: I had two crowns done in one morning. I was very nervous about the pain of the procedure. There was none. The numbing gel applied before the injections is the best thing ever. I'm glad to have kept my teeth as I've spent a lot on braces and didn't want them pulled out after all of that. I was impressed with the care taken during this procedure and the result. The discomfort afterwards was also minimal.

Fantastic experience: Altogether I had a cleaning, one filling, two wisdom teeth extracted, and two bone grafts placed. I paid $3,400. There are no payment plans. I paid on the day of operation, before the procedure. It was well worth it. The operation took 4 hours. I have had little-to-no pain in the days following. The pain I did have was extremely manageable with basic medication; paracetamol; and ibuprofen. This experience does not mirror a single one from anyone I had spoken to prior to getting it done. Everyone said I would feel like I had been kicked in the face for days, or something else similar. I felt tired the day of, that’s about it. For reference the only drugs I had administered during the op was medazolam and anaesthetic injections. There was a bit of pain and discomfort at the very end when the stitches were being placed, this was expected. I am blown away by the quality of work done by my Dentist, Dr. Mei Ting, along with her assistant, Alycia. They treated me with the utmost care and respect throughout the procedure. And with swift professionalism by Mei in the appointments preceding. I was phoned by reception the day after for a quick post-op check. Mei herself personally called me a couple days after that to chat about how it was going. It’s been four days since the procedure and I have minimal swelling. Tomorrow I don’t expect it to be noticeable. This team deserves the high rating they have here. Flawless. Thank you, and kind regards, Justus.

Fantastic experience: HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sean and Jodie for tooth removal! He did such a great job on me. They got me in with only a days notice to remove a broken/badly infected tooth that caused me extreme pain. Was booked in for surgical extraction in July, however that was too long of a wait. Also it was waayy cheaper getting it removed through Sean than it was through surgical extraction. Much Appreciated!

Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough of Sean and Janaya at The Dentists Taradale. I was originally booked in with an oral surgeon as I needed a tricky extraction. However Sean was able to see me on the day I called in. He was able to calmly and confidently talk me through the procedure and complete the extraction quickly with a very gentle manner. I was lucky to be looked after by both Mei and Alycia who were very warm and welcoming, allowing you to let go of any anxieties! They have very upto date technology with cameras allowing you to see the details yourself, which is certainly eye opening. The overall check up and clean was very thorough and really gentle.
