Smile Dental - Takanini

Negative experience: So disappointed with the timing ! Had an appointment made for 10:30 which was of no use I guess ! They took 2 appointments for 10:30 and decided to call the other person before me while I have to wait for more than 30mins. Upon asking the receptionist she had no reason to validate and answered me rudely in telling me that I have to understand the previous patients long timing which doesn’t even make sense to me ! Clearly taking 2 appointments for one time while having a single dentist working and getting clashes with it ! So annoying to wait for so long and also to reschedule my another appointment for the day . Not happy with the service provided at all.

Big thanks to Dr May Yee Sim and her colleague for doing an awesome job on repair a broken tooth via root canal/filling and removing years of tartar build up have already booked to get gums cleaned and crowns for 2 other teeth. Positive experience: I initially saw Teresa's the Papakura branch, but had the work completed at the Takanini branch. Good thing she warned me about how hard it was going to be to remove my wisdom tooth. All I can say is, It wasn't a fun experience, but then what visit to the dentist is, right. Teresa and her team did a great job!!

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would! I was seen by Teresa Leung and I was scheduled in for a scaling and root planing procedure and I asked if anesthetic could be used as I knew my gums were extremely sensitive from having gingivitis at the time. She refused to give me any anesthetic and carried on with the procedure, I was in so much pain to the point that I started to cry as it felt like my teeth were being pulled out one by one. I tried to close my mouth, not even 5 minutes into the cleaning as it was so painful but she told me to keep my mouth open and to stop moving! She stopped cleaning and asked 'what is problem?' in a rude tone and I told her that it was hurting and I would like my mouth to be numbed so I don't feel anything. She said 'If you had taken better care of your teeth, you wouldn't be in pain. I'm not giving you anesthetic. Stop moving' and then she proceeded to carry on. I left my appointment in an extreme amount of pain and feeling traumatized! I will never be coming back here ever again!!

Positive experience: Loved the service I have received thus far. They are fast friendly and efficient! I got a root canal and a filling and will be going back to fill 2 more of my teeth and I can't wait to be able to smile and not be shy about what my teeth look like

Fantastic experience: Best dentist if there’s a cheaper option they’ll recommend that instead of wasting your money! I’ve had bad experiences with dentists that left me with lock jaw. But these dentist know what they’re doing!

Negative experience: Michelle Yeung explained everything clearly and precisely, leaving no stone nd especially Michelle Yeung unturned, articulating the process with care and accuracy, I felt totally confident, relaxed and at ease, knowing I was in good hands. Negative experience: Got my wisdom tooths pulled out lastweek Tuesday did everything I was told to do brush mouthwash all that come to Friday I notice something wasn't right I was so swallon it was hard for me to drink water or take pills but I still tryed anyways come to Saturday I had to go to henderson I saw my dentist I told her what was wrong she said oh that normal it was in the disclosure you sign then I was like oh OK then she says oh I forgot to give you antibiotics and tramadol I go home take the medication I'm knocked ko sleep but come to Sunday I tryed to take it again cause the pain was 10 but I couldn't it felt like I was going to choke so I went to the hospital Sunday afternoon told them what was wrong we did some scans to find out I needed emergency surgery to drain all the pass out that was in my neck hence the swelling in my throat I could have died I'm suppose to get my fillings done but I will not be coming back my experience was horrible you can 0 starts

I was given options to pick from which I appreciated a lot, her & the team treated me well, and made me feel comfortable. Amazing experience, hands down. Fantastic experience: Dr Gaurav K from Takanini did an amazing job with my teeth. He saved a couple of my teeth, did the x-rays free of charge and also gave a good discount for getting my teeth done at his clinic through recommendation of a friend whom is a Pharmacist. Great service, prepared me with all he was doing right through. I highly recommend this dental service!

Negative experience: I wish I could give it 0 stars. Got scammed by this place. Paid $600 for cleaning and a check up when I thought it would only be $300 as that was the price I was told and suddenly there were $250 plus in X-rays I didn’t ask for. I only was told the price when they had already done everything and o went to pay. Then I was told I needed fillings and the price they quoted for 3 teeth was $1200 when the dentist said himself that my teeth are not bad but it would be precautionary to just fill them now before they can get bad. Just ridiculous. Eventually I went to a different dentist and only paid $430 for my fillings. If anyone was curious in New Zealand the price threshold is between $180-$350 for composite fillings. Never going back to this place they’re literally charging more than private dentals.

Negative experience: Front composition filling came out had to go back 6 times within 2 weeks to have it put back as they would not refund the 1300 dollars. Each time I had to have two numbing injections, I eventually had enough and went to another dentist to fix the damage done.

I have to say that my experience with Dr ali han has been brilliant. I'm not a dentist but I feel like she's very highly skilled based on her actions and instructions & the fact that I don't feel any undue pain but on a personal level she's very professional friendly and courteous. I would recommend her highly to my circle and already have.
