Negative experience: went in for a filling well my tooth didn't even really need a filling dentist put the filling on the outside of the tooth it didn't even look like a proper tooth just a bit of plastic hanging on the outside. I wish I never went here. Recommendation is to go to the north shore, they do the best dental work. Went to brush teeth lightly. I never brushed my teeth for a whole day after the surgery so it wasn't by any means my fault the dentist did not let it set long enough. I'm brushing my teeth and it all comes off so now my tooth looks like its cut in half. So disappointed can't even look in the mirror anymore. UPDATE: they told me to come in this Wednesday thanks a lot. Day before I go to orthodontics ! the filling broke off Wednesday so it will have been a whole week my teeth left with a whole in it as the filling fell off poor customer service place needs to be shut down its a dental emergency and they just shove you off like your not important never go here again only go here if you want your teeth to be messed up and to be delayed. They don't care about you, or your teeth!!

Fantastic experience: Due to the infection, anesthesia wasn't as effective. I was very much pleased with the outcome as like 95% of the pain was gone that I was experiencing before.

Negative experience: Very frustrating experience, unprofessional and misinformed. Had an appointment, dentist did 2 X-rays told me there would be a $40.00 cost for each xray. I agreed, he then told me what treatment I needed, I asked if tooth extraction is the only option, he said he’ll do another xray to confirm at no charge for the 3rd xray. Quote was done and he charged me for 3rd xray, I reminded him that he said it was no charge, he then said that was for a prescription he was going to give me and not for xray, front desk lady said prescription was free They booked me in for Wednesday, I advised that my pain was severe and I don’t think I could wait that long, they rang me at 12 and said I could go in, I couldn’t make it, they called me at 5pm to say they will squeeze me in, I said I was about 10 - 20 mins away , they said that’s fine I drove 20 mins only to arrive and be told that the dentist had left and that I need to swipe my card and pay for full treatment. I said no, If pain gets unbearable I would need to find an urgent appointment. They changed my booking from 12.45 to 9am , I then got home to saying I owed a different balance and if I wanted to cancel my appointment.would not recommend smile.

Fantastic experience: Awesome people. I usually feel a lot of pain when I get fillings and tooth extraction but at smiles they are good at what they do. They are very informative and caring. Didn’t feel the needle go in when they numbed my mouth. So 2 fillings and 1 tooth extraction later I felt a lot better. I will be sticking with smile papakura from now on.

Fantastic experience: Great Service, Experienced, Pain free, very Cost Effective, Follow up contact. Had my first wisdom tooth removed yesterday, 1 hour after phoning to make an appointment. Tooth was loose, but no pain, so I decided to not wait for pain before getting it removed. Im extremely happy with everything from booking, to recovery. Dr/Dentist explained procedure, cost and advice for future care. Only little pain when receiving the local anesthetic, and have not needed any panadol at all. Thank you Smile Dental Papakura.

Fantastic experience: I needed to have dentures this year. The process took months but all throughout the process the Dentist, Dr Theresa, was efficient and made the process smooth much to my satisfaction. She was clear in her instruction in cleaning the dentures at home. The colour of dentures exactly matched my natural teeth colour, and I received many compliments on how well the dentures blended with my natural teeth. Some family members didn't think I had dentures in the first place. In the end I was very happy with the result. Compliments to Dr Theresa. As we are about to say goodbye to 2024, and welcome the new year, may I thank the staff at Papakura Smile Dental and wish them a very happy and prosperous new year.

Negative experience: Be aware. The staff are okay but their ‘work practice’ for me felt like a RIP OFF!! I paid a lot of money for fillings & the dentist spent less than 10 mins doing the procedure. I was surprised it was over so soon. Never explaining the problem and solution. Never showed me the X-rays. For the time spent on the “fillings” vs the amount I paid- it was not worth it! Was there even a hole/holes big enough to fill?! Be weary folks. Ask for clarification. How big is the hole? Does it really NEED a filling? Can I see the X-rays? Can you TELL me EXACTLY what my problems are? Felt like, oh she paid..we bettter do something in the mouth:/ Very hush hush. Nothing was said either regarding after care. Money hungry? Sad.

Fantastic experience: I went to Smile Dental Papakura as a walk-in with a toothache—my first time at a dental clinic, without doing any prior research. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They understood my situation and made sure to fit me in. Dr. Teresa, was amazing and an experienced dentist, helped calm my nerves and efficiently pulled my wisdom tooth. Throughout the process, the staff kept talking to me, which made me feel very comfortable. The next day, I even received a text message checking in on how I was doing. Overall, a great experience! Negative experience: Paid 1200 dollars for a composition filling and it kept falling out. I went back 6 times (each time having to get numbing injections) all.in the space of 1 week I eventually gave up and went to lumino in manurewa to have the damage fixed they were great.

Got a tooth extraction cos a root canal would have cost me 2 weeks rent and nah not keen on that!. Paid what I could and after pay the rest. All in all, good experience. Good stuff!!!

Negative experience: On 11 April 2024, a Chinese female assistant nurse who spoke Mandarin worked with Dr. Teresa Leung at the Papakura branch. The service she provides to patients at Smile Dental Center is truly rude, unfriendly, impolite and unhelpful. Disappointed with service while we pay service fees which are not cheap. Also dentists and assistants never smile welcome at customers as same as the brand calls SMILE DENTAL.

I had the Asian dentist who while cleaning my teeth, it was very sore, in addition to her making my root canal break which I now have booked with Lumino dentist to rectify the situation which I will probably pay over $1000 in dental bills. Negative experience: I found the dentist to be very rude, unprofessional and unsympathetic. She was also arguing with my sister who brought me to the appointment which is what we found to be unprofessional. She even came from behind the counter to carry on arguing with us. I have asked to never be assigned this dentist again.

Negative experience: The lady that was on today at around 10am at the Papakura branch was arrogant, rude and likes to argue with her customers her behaviour was disgusting and she definitely should change her career path if she does not know how to be patient, kind or caring towards anyone. Highly do not recommend booking with her.

Dentist explained what my tooth needed thoroughly and wrote me two quotes - even exchanged a few jokes which made me feel much more at ease. I was a bit nervous because I've had a less positive experience at Manukau Smile Dental. Will edit again after my extraction. Edit: Extraction went well, was very quick and the dentist explained everything that happened to me plus made sure I was well numbed before proceeding.

Fantastic experience: Hi everyone! I'm in the process of getting dentures. Currently @ phase 2 of 5 phases into the process. At the start, I had my fears of whether to pursue or not as my previous experience of teeth extractions @ middlemore hospital was painful & excruciating. Omega Dental Papakura removed all uncertainty in which I can contest to that. Absolutely top notch! Service & care absolutely 100%. Although I still have 3 phases to complete, but the worst is over! They really DO listen to their clients! On top of that, the dental surgeon also follows up with a courtesy call to check in if everything is ok! Now THAT'S service! Hence the reason I have already given them the 5 star rating. I highly recommend Omega Dental Papakura for all your dental needs. They listen! Keep up the awesome work guys!
