Negative experience: My Dad was treated by dentist named Dmitrii for his filings and root canal a few months ago. The pain has now started again. We went to another dentist who told us the process was not done properly by the previosu dentist that's why the pain started. We had to redo everything and it is now costing a fortune. There were no preventative measures taken and no proper advise given by Dmitrii.

Jess at front desk kindly gave me a call when my online booking form didn't go through and ensured I had an appointment for the same day confirmed. The price was very affordable and clear from the get so no unexpected costs. Dr Adaikin was very informative and clear about what was happening at every step which eases a lot of nerves often associated with going to the dentist. The lovely dental assistant was very professional and clear with instructions. Overall a great service, will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I recently reached out to 5 dental clinics to seek for quote for removal of my wisdom tooth. The first reply I got was from Jess from Parnell Dentistry, the quote amount I got was incredibly reasonable too. I waited for other quotes to come in, but some clinics couldn't perform this without an Oral surgeon while others were too expensive. I scheduled my appointment on such short notice and arrived at the clinic, (I was assisted in parking too). I met with Jess and Dr Dmitrii and was then shown way into the examination room. Dr Dmitrii explained to me the process and we got on with the procedure. During the tooth removal process I felt no pain. The tooth needed to be cut to be taken out properly. Post tooth removal it's been third day today and most swelling has gone, no pain. The work that Dr Dmitrii carried out was exceptional, I am glad I chose Parnal Dentistry for this and would definitely be my go-to clinic for tooth from now on.

The authority and knowledge really helps me to understand what I'm dealing with for my dental care and hygene. And isn't that what we all want?. The consult and analysis, followed up with a plan laying out appointments and costs is so professional and I was treated like an adult, consulting with my care. That's so important for me. The consult $69.00 with xrays, photos and full exam totally surprised me at how reasonable and affordable it is. (I've paid more for dentist who just looked at me.) This supported my decision to return here and hopefully I can keep them as my dentist for all time. Hmm, I don't really want to show any pics of my dental work, hope that's ok?

Fantastic experience: I came in to check on my partially erupted wisdom tooth. The operculum and the gum would swell at times and I kept biting it. I was thinking about either operculectomy or extraction if necessary. The Front of house manager was able to book me in the same day; I was seen by Dr Michael Georgy and attended by Technician Cherrie. I got the option of IV or local anesthesia and opted for the local - no regrets. Though it must be more inconvenient working on a conscious patient, it was interesting to witness how the staff solve all the different issues with a stubborn tooth. I only wish I had a squishy ball to hold onto to dissipate some nervous energy, but that's just me. I am a neuro-divergent person with sound anxiety; small quiet noises really affect me. At one stage, I asked Cherrie to turn the suction tool back on because the white noise sound was so soothing and she did with no hesitation. I received progressive quotes as we discussed the extend of my treatment and a comprehensive post-surgery package. It is day 2 with zero discomfort (but am taking my pills diligently to stay ahead of any pain) and am back at work as usual. I offered a medical certificate if needed. Just an overall pleasant experience considering someone was removing an anchored chunk of me out of my body.

Fantastic experience: I'm from Japan where good dental care is easily accessible and reasonable, so going to the dentist overseas for the first time was so nerve wracking. I went to another practice at CBD when my tooth started hurting and they referred me to an endodontist without proper explanation or advice. Turns out I needed to get the tooth removed so I went to this clinic instead. I had my hurting tooth along with a wisdom tooth removed, and throughout the entire process Dr. Adaikin was so encouraging and sympathetic I felt really at ease. It was such a quick process too! Also Ms. Hunt at the reception was so lovely both on the phone and in-person. I'll definitely come back here if I need any dental care in the future. Thank you so much for everything.

Fantastic experience: The team at Parnell are absolutely fantastic. It's so easy to set up appointments, they are very organized, helpful and friendly reception staff. The dentists are also great, I'm currently using an Invisalign-type product and my dentist worked with me to come up with a plan I was happy with. Answered all my questions in detail, gave me all the options but also gave me recommendations about what they thought was best. Also had a minor oral surgery with them before my current plan, which went perfectly - no complications and healed quickly. Couldn't be happier!

For almost a year, I had been coming in for my monthly checks and from the first day, I was guided on what my options would be. Not only were my dentists supportive, they answered all my questions and reassured any concerns I had and really listened to but they also give their best professional suggestions which I appreciated. Fantastic experience: Recommended. The appointment was easy to make. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. During the cleaning, the dental hygienist was methodical and thorough. During the checkup the dentist made my options clear and provided his recommendations based on my input. The dentist was aware of the cost of his recommendations and made those costs clear up front to avoid surprises later. The time with the dentist did feel a little rushed but this is understandable as the dentist's schedule was packed.

I shopped around first for affordable pricing and good reviews and that is how I found this family dental practice in Parnell. I did a general check up with Dimitri and hygiene clean with Lily. Positive experience: UPDATE: initial review was 1 star because of a problem but the general manager got in contact with me and was super professional and understanding and resolved the problem with me so I've changed it to 4 stars. Original review: I went to this dentist at 9am on the 10.05.2021. I had booked in for a check up and a hygiene clean. The costs I were quoted were for a checkup $77 and hygiene clean $180. I was also adamant on asking if these were the full costs I needed to pay if I book in for the checkup and hygiene clean and the receptionist at the time said YES. I arrived at my appointment to do the hygiene clean first. Lily was great, professional and thorough. I saw Dr. Dimitri for my dental checkup. He mentioned that we were going to do X-rays, (now, because I had booked in for a check up I thought that this was a part of the check up, as why would I be booked into something that I didn’t ask for or wasn’t truly informed about with the relating costs?) so when he says they’re going to do some X-rays to check my teeth etc I think ok cool. (Keep in mind, I’m not notified once of the extra costs of the X-rays). He proceeds to tell me that I have two cavities in my top two wisdom that he can see. He quotes me $175 per top wisdom tooth to be extracted. I decided I wanted to think on it before I make a decision and ask for the treatment plan to be sent to my email. I get to the desk to pay for my visit. And I find an extra $51 on my bill. The extra cost is due to the X-rays Dr. Dimitri had made without informing me of the costs before going ahead. I talk to the receptionist Luis and tell him my concerns, he proceeds to tell me that a clinician can not give a fixed price, it may happen that I would come in and they do a filling and something happens on my tooth that then requires more work and then I would have to pay extra. Which I understand, BUT I am certain that before the work is done you would NEED to notify your client of the extra costs. Which they did NOT do. I decided to pay the extra $51, when actually I have the full right to refuse to pay these costs that I was NOT informed about. Under the fair trading act (FTA), I have the right to clear and accurate prices for products and services, and factual advertising. So if I book in for a check up at $77 and a hygiene clean at $180, that’s what I should get done and should pay for. Anything extra I should be notified of the extra procedure and additional cost. I waited a day or two to think over the situation and then I wrote Luis (receptionist) an email asking if I could be refunded for the extra $51 as I think it would be fair considering I was not informed of the additional cost. He proceeded to tell me that a “general consultation with a professional includes taking X-rays so that we can give a full evaluation of the oral health per NZ standards” so why was I not informed of the extra costs of the X-rays before? Why was I told that my visit for what I booked in for (check up $77 and hygiene clean $180) that that would be all I’d need to pay on the day? Why should I bare that financial mistake they made in quoting me? I won’t be going there again.

Most important for me though is Andrea's manner which is caring and communicative, putting me very much at ease. Fantastic experience: cant speak highly enough of these guys. i had to go here on a Saturday as an emergency as i was in a lot of pain. even though they were fully booked they still took time to see me because of my discomfort. the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and the dentist himself was amazing. made my experience as painless as possible and was very patient with me as i am very nervous in the dentist. i enjoyed my experience so much i have booked to see them on a regular check up basis as they make the experience very easy . 100% recommend
