Fantastic experience: From the first contact with The Dentist reception which was very friendly and helpful to the work performed by Dr Zaiyou and his assistant I was well informed on the procedure and expectations and immediately felt at ease. The costs were very competitive and will definitely use again if required

Fantastic experience: This is the first time in my life that a trust my dentist. My last visit was with Alana, the hygienist who also does a fantastic job. Alana is careful, considerate and a real asset to the team.

Fantastic experience: Although this place is a little bit dearer than some others it is completely worth it, the service is amazing and the technology they have means a really thorough, quality job. Dr AJ and the team are just fantastic from the minute you walk in you are greeted with a smile, eveyone is super friendly and welcoming. There is no pressure to opt for treatments you can’t afford, you are presented with every option available with all the varying costs and given time to decide what route you want to take.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Taupo a few years ago and was in need of a dentist. I randomly chose The Dentist. Originally I never liked to visit them. After a few visits all my concerns were gone. All the staff were friendly and the dentist was gentle and fully explained what she was doing and why. I now enjoy my visit to The Dentist. I have never felt uncomfortable on my way home. My teeth feel great and I'm on a regular maintenance programme. Honest Maurice

Negative experience: Rude service, Couldn't find my $1678.00 payment. After two weeks finally found .Needed a emergency surgery and held out due to not finding my payment!! Thanks for the two weeks of pain THE DENTIST! zero ⭐️ from me!

Fantastic experience: I had a really old, large filling to be removed and refilled on a back tooth. It took well over an hour but the dentist made sure that I was as comfortable as I could be over that period. I thought that the cost was as reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service!! I've always being so scared to go to the dentist. At 1st I was scared but the friendly dentist and his lovely assistant made it all ok and I surprisingly was very relaxed. Honestly didn't feel a thing. My fear is needles but that actually went so well that i felt nothing. I have had no pain whatsoever since I left there. I thought once the numbing went away I'd get some sort of pain.. but nothing at all. Holly served me at the front desk.. she was polite and very kind. I highly recommend this dentist!! Especially if you have anxiety and are fearful of dental treatments. Thank you The DentistTaupo for a great and painless caring experience. Amazing!!

Can't fault them, I do believe a business is successful and friendly as a result of the person at the top which in this case is AJ and his wife Jade, you couldn't get better role models. Fantastic experience: I can’t speak highly enough of Dr Sharlene Lu at The Dentists Taupo. She was so respectful, highly professional, gentle, kind, compassionate, patient and confident, leaving no room for fear. Definitely an expert in her field and she made the whole experience calm, yet speedy. Dr Sharlene’s communication skills were superb, unequivocally explaining complex procedures, definitely open and honest. I had an upper tooth removed on 4 December 2024 which was a difficult extraction because it had a curve in the root and was close to the left sinus. Dr Sharlene’s ability to integrate new technologies enabled this extraction to be an exemplary achievement. I just couldn’t believe that the tooth had been removed in record time, with no pain or fuss. Her assistant, Robyn, deserves the same favourable recommendation, too.

I travel quite far for my appointments and they even offered me dental monitoring which is great because I don't need to go to many appointments but I still get straight teeth. The team check in on me to make sure everything is tracking and are so friendly. I'm so glad I chose The Dentist and aligners.

Fantastic experience: I usually don’t write reviews, but this time I just had to make an exception. I recently had my first appointment with Zai, where we set up a treatment plan. Since I get pretty anxious about dental visits, I decided to knock out all my treatments in one day. I’m thrilled to say that Zai, Kylie and the team were absolutely fantastic! From the warm welcome I received when I arrived, to the continuous care, reassurance, and check-ins throughout the day, they made the whole experience much better than I anticipated. A big thank you to everyone who helped turn my trip to the dentist into a surprisingly pleasant experience!

My dentist, Brian, is committed to providing his patients with the best possible experience, always explaining procedures and discussing options. He has a reassuring manner and I have never felt nervous. I have also never felt pain; occasional mild discomfort maybe, not pain. All the nurses and reception staff I have met have a pleasant manner and positive outlook. No negatives.
