Team Dental provide affordable, no “bells and whistles” dentistry. We aim to keep dental treatments simple, to offer good explanations and to inform our patients of their options. We are competent, friendly, caring and have a genuine empathy. We are good down to earth people offering good down to earth dental services.
Not only do we operate Monday to Sunday, with short lead in appointment times, we also offer emergency dentistry in case of an accident. We have 6 dental clinics across New Zealand, with Dentists in Christchurch, Tauranga and Whangarei available for appointments 364 days a year.

Fantastic experience: As always, no worries, fun conversations. Cheerful staff. However, I am concerned over the number of fillings that have not seemed to stay in very long. After latest visit to replace short lived one in 2/2 I lost a big one in 4/6?

Fantastic experience: Very pleased with my broken tooth reconstruction work. Dr Richard performed what must be close to a small miracle. The " new" tooth looks and feels better than the old one. Thanks all at Team Dental. Wed 3rd Jan 2024. Great service as usual from Dr Neil. Tooth " niggle" expertly relieved by removing some excess tooth enamel and improving the bite. Seems to be going great now. Thanks Dr Neil. Thought it was going to be more of a drama than it actually turned out be. Thanks again all at Team Dental. 17th Jan 2024 Great job Pam. Always a good result when I have my 6 monthly teeth clean and polish.Thanks Pam and Team Dental. 24th July 2024 Thanks Pam. Great to have my 6 monthly teeth clean.Always a good service and result from you and TD. Thanks again. 20th August 2024 Very Good. Bi annual check up went surpisingly well with no immediate treatment follow up required. What could be better than that? Well a lotto win maybe? Thanks Neil and everyone at Team Dental. 28th Jan 2025 Service very good thank you. Intermittent tooth pain over the previous two months. DR Richard slotted me in and carried out a vg job of sorting the problem out. Thanks Richard 29th Jan 2025 6 monthly teeth clean by Pam. Very good service as usual. Thanks Pam. 27th March. Very pleased with Richards treatment today and the two earlier sesssions to complete a. Route Canal.RCs never a joyous event but all has gone well. Thanks Richard.

Negative experience: Today my mother had an appointment, started off by the receptionist asking her for personal details out loud when she had asked for the forms to fill out her personal information. The dentist was very aggressive with her teeth then she would ask simple questions and he says to her you won’t be able to afford it so he had already stereotyped her. Then the dental assistant made her feel more uncomfortable by aggressive talking at her. This could have been a good experience or resolved if there was good communication and more professionalism. We are NEVER coming back and I will NEVER recommend this place.

Our team spent time discussing various treatment possibilities and providing quotes to ensure transparency and clarity regarding costs. Please know that our goal is always to support our patients with the best possible care and information. The gathering of personal information is limited to contact details, medical history, medications, and allergies. Our staff do try to gather this with discretion. The reception team have been advised that the process with your Mum could have been handled with more discretion and will strive to improve this. If there’s anything further we can do to assist, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Fantastic experience: I was stunned at how much I was charged to have a filling replaced. Just needed a clean and refill. No injections or anything else. Was only in there for less than 15 mins and it was over $400. The staff are lovely and friendly though.

Positive experience: Good experience, apart from staining my sons expensive nike jumper, with the bleach based acid, when doing the root canal..no upperbody cover offered before the procedure ..lesson learned. Wear white next time

Kath, Brilliant, we sort of understand no one likes to hang around too long with our Dentists, regardless of how wonderful they are!!!
Negative experience: Disappointed. The dental assistant/reception was curt and rude with my scared 12 year old daughter. We were looking for a friendly dental practice for next year and this will not be the place we choose. No one ever followed up with us (despite the assurance from below)

Fantastic experience: My bus was not running to time consequently I was nine minutes late for my appointment. I phoned ahead to let the receptionist know. Dentist still took me in for a short exam of 24 minutes. Please to be told I need to see the hygienist for a cleaning treatment. So that was a relief! I was worried I had a cracked tooth. Also the fee was $60 which I thought was very good.

Fantastic experience: I recently had some dental work at Team Dental in Reyburn St, Whangarei. I felt nervous and wasn't looking forward to the experience. The dentist was understanding and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. He helped me with procedures during my dental work that made the experience for me practically painless, and even enjoyable. The work was done on time, i am happy with the result, but more importantly i am happy with the whole experience. I highly recommend Team Dental and in particular Richard the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I was treated by dentist Jessie Liang this morning. What a great, friendly, cheerful and patient manner she has! Very welcoming, answered all my questions and explained clearly everything she was going to do. She did not rush. I was very happy to have her treat me. I felt like a person and not just a patient.

Fantastic experience: An excellent experience! They followed up quickly on the email I left the night before and arranged an appointment for me the following day. Very efficient. I was taken into the chair a few minutes after my alloted time and Tim did a very good job of reattaching the gold overlay to my tooth. Nice people.
