Negative experience: Terrible place definitely never come back

Positive experience: Please dont change the appointment times if you can't value peoples time. Appointment changed from 3:45pm to 11:15am, and i had to wait for over 45 mins

Negative experience: I've had a few appointments here with Dr Chris and while the appointments itself has been great, it's been very hard to make and keep these appointments. I'm not sure if this is at fault of the doctor or administration side or both. Each time I've had an issue. First I booked an appointment at the city location, I showed up and was told he was working at the Manuka location that day. Continued to do appointments over the phone of which a couple of the times the times were mixed up and he would contact me the week later saying sorry he was on leave or he was sick. Why would no one inform me? My most recent appointment I messaged him after a couple of hours of not calling me only for him to reply to me A MONTH LATER Every time I've called reception they have no idea what's going on No wonder it's a free service...

Fantastic experience: The Fono Dental were amazing, greeted with a big "Hello there" and an even bigger smile, I found the front line staff very helpful & the Dentist very professional, along with very competitive pricing that won't hurt your bank account. I will be back. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Thank you for The Fono Medical, their lovely hospitality. The receptionist is the kindest person and she is very considerate for the patients. She was patient with the children around while still maintaining her job. We watched the baby run around and speak with the lady in their language. It was beautiful to witness such a caring person at the front desk. I loved seeing my doctor. He was precise and professional. The Fono is truly a caring culture. Thank you doctor David Atkinson, I am feeling much better and hope to come in for a follow up.

Negative experience: Fono' are the most amazing Group. They leave every other Medical Group in NZ for dead.

Negative experience: This review is only pointed to the receptionists they are both arrogant bold face liars and rude, when I arrived for appointment I asked to see the nurse after I've seen the doctor, another patient walk in 15 minutes after my arrival, yet he get to see the nurse first. I questioned why he got go see the nurse first, when he arrived later than me? In an aggressive manner both in unison the receptionists lied so boldly to my face that the man asked to see the nurse first, the fact that I saw and heard the other doctor just told them, to let the man be seen by the nurse. The doctors are great but the both receptionists are shameless liars!!!

Fantastic experience: Today I visited Dr Olga for dental hygiene and cleaning. I was really impressed by the service, care and professionalism. I 100 percent recommend this dental service. I left the clinic very satisfied and happy

Fantastic experience: 2023 Oral health therapist OLGA- Is very professional and skilled, top to bottom. Cannot recommend them more highly. OLGA is so thorough and informative, and lets you know every step of the way what’s going on so there are no surprises. Very calming, as well. Thank you Olga. 2018, (My new Dentist Dr Mariam) The best Dental Care we have ever had. Great atmosphere and the best Dentist I have ever had Dr Mariam. Dr Mariam is a very professional and assuring Dentist. I’m glad that I met the Fono and extremely happy to call Dr Mariam my new Dentist. Dr Mariam makes my Dental visits something to look forward to, instead of being afraid of having sore teeth from previous Dentists at other places. Negative experience: I have been a patient here for over 6 years and so have my family members. I’m sick of the unprofessionalism from admin and am transferring to another clinic. GPs are fine. Administration need to be re-evaluated immediately and replaced with better trained admin staff. I do not recommend this establishment at all especially if you are an ongoing patient. Admin put you in more difficult and vulnerable positions than you are already in due to their lack of training and concern for patients. They don’t understand the concept of sense of urgency whatsoever. Even during quiet periods/pre COVID, I have had numerous occasions of admin not getting back to me regarding my repeats or questions and are rude/dismissive when confronted about these issues.

Negative experience: The Indian doctor misdiagnosed me in 2020

Fantastic experience: Dental erupted wisdom tooth extraction, fantastic and fast, zero pain! Good fillings too, been here a few times now, they don’t try squeeze money out of you like some other dentists.

Negative experience: The nurses here are great & super friendly - GPs have a high turnover - but the administration is abysmal. I've been going here for 5 years and encountered numerous issues. The latest is that after I found out my name wasn't registered correctly with MoH and asked the practice, who did the registration at the time, to correct that, they apparently found out that the documentation I provided when I signed up has gone AWOL, and therefore they've changed me to non-resident rates. Not my fault you can't do administration. I'm registered as a resident with MoH (after I had that info corrected 4 years ago) so how about the clinic just checks that? If I hadn't asked them to correct my name they wouldn't even have found out despite several visits over the years. EDIT: removing a star after the below response; I was promised a callback several times before writing this review but it never happened.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mowafaq Amso was excellent, he made me feel relax during the examination and provided a detail plan. I have indeed found my Dentist !

Negative experience: Not recommended The Fono Medical. I’ve been to a GP a few times before. Would never go again. Since had misdiagnosis experience with an Indian doctor several months ago. And one of the receptionist was so rude. Disappointed. However, The Fono Dental is nice.

Negative experience: Updated another complaint for another issue I repeatedly request medication and avoid the visit due to covid19 from time to time, but from time to time, they always arrange different pharmacy for me to pickup which i have mentioned all the time in my email request to clarify the drama but again from time to time, they still insist send the wrong one, not sure they do that to bully me or what but that is how i feel, firstly i have to send email to staff, then to website form update then facebook messenger to remind all staff to deal with my case, then they send to wrong phamacy and saying that is my nomiated pharmacy, then said i am the one wrong(after i show the evidence my past history) frustating and this kind of bully need to stop, clinc staff supposed to help ppl not bully. This is so disgusting.. I dont know why ppl can bully others like this and put ppl into depressed and upset. I am a loyal and registered patient here. yesterday I got car accident and injury after work caused pain. Today i went there for emergency, I said to her, I got hit by car yesterday for ACC claim, she said, oh emergency aye, we fully book, sorry tomorrow? That is it? i got hit by car, and she only said that. I wish, if this happen to her, she can wait till tomorrow?

Fantastic experience: Amazing dental experience with Dr Aisha Ali. Cannot recommend her enough!!! And the team at the front desk were amazing and friendly. Will definitely be going back for future dental appointments.

Negative experience: Their dentist change and then for any X ray referral in their records within a month for a quote needs to see their dentist again.

Negative experience: After more than a decade visiting The Fono Central I had a very,very bad experience with a female Indian Doctor.At the very start she mispronounced my name which is an english name and then she went on giving me a hard time in the consulting room making me feel as if I don't understand English.I had to request to see my old doctor who is now based in Henderson.It was a waste of time with her

Negative experience: The dentist lady very nice and good to help find information ,then I went to ...., then not charge me money ... , that's so good and nice, the lady told the doctor organization ...I ... city mission. The dentist reception lady rang organization , and told them I got the bird and eat in city mission , they just said no need to pay , then they take the bird to save the bird life , that's so good thinking, the dentist lady is very good, And dentist is very nice there help too. It's very good place. The very good dentist place . And another thing the not doctor actually , it's bad doctor npt good doctor , hopefully one day become good doctor , if you I will let you know , but until now it's really bad doctor .... If they ask to write good comment here , don't do that , just write what's true, don't miss leader others

Fantastic experience: Went to them for an emergency problem I couldn’t sleep head aches. And ear ache from my tooth ache they fixed it the next day. Next available appointment. Amazing

Negative experience: I am writing with an alias name. I had my root canal done here which are supposed to last at least 9-10 years. It did not go even for a year and on top of that I find the dentists rude and unprofessional. They are not worth even a single star

Negative experience: I am really disappointed with the dental service. I have checked up my wisdom teeth on 4 December 2020 which was extremely painful to me I can't eat my food and gums are getting infected but after check up they did phone call and they want to book appointments for extraction of teeth in next year even the date is not fixed. How it could be patient is dying now and the treatment is next year.? Now I have to switch next dental clinic and again have to go for check up and x-ray which is cost me double expenses

Negative experience: i have visited them 2 or 3 times .. and every time i have to tell them my Name with spelling ... even after that they can’t right it properly. Never had a good experience and been unsatisfied.. after viewing the doctor... ... can’t book appointment even, it’s totally up to them .. they can reschedule anytime and after appointment you still need to wait... so whats the fun of appointment to book

Positive experience: An interesting experience. They do deal with some tough patients. So kudos to them!

Positive experience: The Fono offers a fair-priced, compassionate service to people in need in several locations around Auckland. When I went in for a chipped tooth, they offered several options, and suggested a very low-cost sealant or leaving the tooth uncovered. This was suggested, as there was no sensitivity. Although the sealant lasted a while (about 3 months), it subsequently came off and in one week the tooth chipped to an even worse state. Perhaps, sometimes for some things it is best to just take the costlier option?

Fantastic experience: I had a general check-up and a 2 lower wisdom teeth removal with Dr. Pulkit about 2 weeks ago. The first appointment Dr. Pulkit was vey nice and informative . He made sure that I was prepared for wisdom teeth removal . The second appointment went really well. Dr. Pulkit was professional, calm and very friendly . My healing process was quick thanks to him.Good customer services, specially Hazel was lovely and positive. :) Highly recommended. Definitely I will make another appointments with the fono dental in the future!

Fantastic experience: I have been to The Fono Dental in Auckland Central a couple of times for a dental exam and teeth cleanings. I am always impressed by how friendly and professional the staff are. I was seen by Dr Sherin Takawi at my most recent appointment and found her very approachable. She guided me through the entire process and gave some excellent tips on brushing technique and regular dental hygiene. No quality of service is sacrificed despite The Fono's very reasonable fees. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Negative experience: I have been using this practice for years now even when it use to be St Pats... I’m so dissapointed how the service is now all staff lack basic customer service (except the maori lady) so bad you don’t even get greeted or a smile!! It’s not nice going to your own practice knowing the service is not great it makes me not want to seek medical attention.

Negative experience: I called to re-enroll at this practice as I use to see one of the doctors on 3 monthly basis until I moved to shore. When i called again I got advised to bring in my passport to check my eligibility for the funding!!!! Shocking...., as if they lost all my details. Further to that, receptionist on the desk told me that I will have to pay $70 for the consultation and my health will be accessed by the nurse which will be around 30-40 minutes...which is a common traige..... never heard of it and who have that much time to spend in busy schedule. Their was no mention of charges on the phone and I rang twice to confirm my enrollment. Inspite of accomodating me that receptionist asked me what to do. How the heck am I suppose to know or offer alternative as its not my job or practice. Doctors are wonderful and that receptionist was complete idiot or something next level.

Fantastic experience: I had a good service from the fono dental and medical. The booking of an appointment was easy and fast. After I arrived for my appointment my dentist Sherin asked me about on detail if have any tooth pain and if I had any medical history. Then the x-ray was taken and the dentist explained in detail what are the problems that I have and what should I do to prevent them from further problems. Overall I was happy with my experience with the Fono dental St.Patrick's.

Positive experience: Recently moved back to the country and have spent a while looking for a dentist. Visited after a recommendation from a friend. Dentist took the time to ask about history, eating and brushing habits and then explained x-rays and the examination. Great service and a friendly team to boot. Only reason for 4 star is I’ve only been here once thus far and dentists are a long term relationship - will update in due time.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for a while and like the serivce here and friendly reception staff. I'm not a huge fan of the dentist but here, Dr Imogen was great and now her replacement Dr Mo has continued to made me feel at ease and kept me informed what he will be doing and why however I would recommend getting the train or bus into the city as parking in the city is a nightmare and expensive! I would definitely recommend coming here

Positive experience: Been there twice and had to wait long to see the dr. Very frustrating for me as I had to get back to work. Very nice DRs and manager thought. Once the dr realized that I was waiting for so long, apologized and offered me not to pay consultation fee which was really nice of her. The day after the manager of the Fono called me and apologized for the whole story. I really appreciate that. It means a lot to me.

Fantastic experience: all aspects of my recent experinces with the Fono were first-rate. The phone booking Receptionist was polite, clear and informative about costs and times. Quick to get back to me. My new young dentist was charming and confident. I have had a lot of dental work over the years from a wide range of practitioners, some good some terribel. I felt safe in Imogens hands and trust her advice. It is encouraging to see a long-time former Employee on reception has recently returned. Old faces for us older generation are also comforting.. The first time I've felt like a dentist has really cared about me.
