His bedside manner with my very shy six year old was excellent, he took time to build a rapport with her and bothered to engage her with fun tasks like allowing her to turn on the lights herself. Fantastic experience: Had an amazing extraction by Dentist Jared & Dentist Assistant Kate. Rocked up with no appointment at 3pm, and Jared fitted me in for a quick X-ray and consultation (really explained everything) and then booked me in at 6:30 pm for an extraction. From anaesthesia injections I felt no pain at all and finally did the extraction and it was literally over in under 5 mins. Even I was shocked. I thought they were just testing if the numbing was working. Super super amazing service! I’ve had traumatic experiences in the Past at other practices, but I will definitely be back! On the pricey side for me, but for the service and execution perfect. Thanks team ❤️ Also Karen was super lovely at the front

They were quick and effective, will be going back and getting cleans and check ups from them in future highly recommend don't forget to ask for Dr Patel

Fantastic experience: Recently I had to have a wisdom tooth removed. I have Dental work phobia to the nth degree. I needn't have worried. I was able to have the tooth removed under sedation. The team took expert care of me, and the procedure was achieved with no pain.distress, or trauma, at all. I recommend the White Cross Team whole-heartedly for safe and professional work. Fantastic experience: I had the best experience at this practice. I came in with the worst tooth pain I had ever felt. The staff were able to rush me into an appointment and instantly take away my pain. The staff at reception, along with the dentist, and the dental assistant treated me with the utmost care and kindness. I was given a few choices for my tooth, each of them were thoroughly explained, as well as a couple of options for payment too. The procedure went perfectly and was completed very quickly. At the end of the day I also received a call from the dentist to check on my recovery. Wonderful staff and excellent service. I would highly recommend to anyone living out West Akl.

Fantastic experience: Went in because my gold inlay fell out suddenly. Was happy they took me in last minute on a sunday but the dentist messed up my tooth pretty badly. I emailed reception explaining my situation and was able to come to a solution! They were very accommodating and kind. I hate to complain but my fixed tooth was bringing a lot of discomfort and they were able to solve the issue with ease.

Fantastic experience: Two things: 1. I needed emergency dental treatment. White Cross provided that at a time to suit me. 2. It has taken four dentists to pinpoint my obscure problem and Karen and Xaviour (and his nurse) have pulled out all stops, and have done just that. I'm finally painfree after five weeks and my pocket is not too much lighter! Thank you everyone including two other WC dentists who professionally contributed their valuable inputs. (The 4th was at Auckland Hospital with a broken down machine!)

Fantastic experience: I had a large tooth out yesterday by Dr Xavier. When i first arrived i explained to him im pretty nervous and stressed by the whole thing. I havent been to dentist in years to have teeth out. I asked him if it was possible to have lil breaks in between, he was happy to do that for me and during whole appt was also explaining what was happening etc. I felt so at ease and less nervous knowing he listens to his patients. He also made in painless for me also asking me if i can feel anything,i told him no. 1 tooth down and 1 to go. Hardest tooth gone. Yay im so much happier now thats gone. Im happy i found a awesome dentist to stick with. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: During my month in New Zealand, trust I had issues with my teeth... One of my wisdom teeth (half in, half out) flared up and ended up with an infection and was in a lot of pain. Initially, we went to A&E, but was told the wait time was 6.5 hours and we are probably better off going to White Cross Dental down the road as they won't be as busy and will also be cheaper (they said A&E would have been thousands) Upon arrival, we were told that the dentists had no availability left for that day - one of the dentists, dr Xavier however overheard this convo and came out of the treatment room and said, whilst they were fully booked, I could have a consultation. He quickly confirmed I had an infection, cleaned out around the tooth, and arranged an x-ray whilst there. Was told its best to have the tooth removed, but whilst waiting for an appointment (2 days) I got prescribed antibiotics and painkillers. 2 days later, Dr. Jared saw me and had my wisdom tooth removed. His age shouldn't fool you, he does know his stuff, I only had to manage the pain with prescribed pain killers but had no swelling at all! (Yay, trip to Waitomo caves saved!) Returned week later for a check up, dr Jared was pleased with recovery, and so was I. Karen at reception was also the most helpful, I really felt I was looked after by them and they really cared and wanted to help. Dentists in London could learn a trick or two from these guys here, and maybe dentistry back home wouldn't be so terrible. Dr Xavier, Dr Jared and Karen - thank you very much - you saved my holiday from turning into a nightmare, I am ever so grateful!

Fantastic experience: I needed emergency dental work on a public holiday, and this dental clinic was amazing, from the receptionist to the dentist. The dentist had a friendly and calm manner. He was exceptional in communicating what work was needed, what he was about to do, and what I had to do in terms of follow-up care.

I have huge anxiety about going to the dentist and have not been in a very long time (I’m from the ‘murder house’ generation) Dr Xavier was gentle, kind and I felt no pain, it was amazing. Fantastic experience: Dr Hamid Mohammed is fantastic! He's so lovely and always checks that you're okay and explains everything too. If I can I wait until I can see him as he's the best I've seen here. I've seen a couple of other dentists here and I don't like them. I hate the dentist with the needles and all of that so getting someone that is nice is very important to me.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding service. Got four wisdom teeth removed at an incredibly reasonable price - wouldn't go anywhere else for dental work given the price. Very sweet nurses, experienced dentist with great knowledge and well managed sedation for the procedure. Recovery has been smooth and trouble free and a post-extraction check up at one week free of charge. Very happy overall and strongly recommend Jared Monk along with the rest of the team.

Fantastic experience: Called for an urgent appointment and they were able to squeeze us in the same day, they were so nice and made us feel super comfortable. Won't be going anywhere else! Thank you Dr Surbhi Patel no pain anymore.

Negative experience: BEWARE. I should have read the comments before going to this place. I went there for a simple filling and asked by the dentist to have an xray done. After she has done the xray she said everything looks fine and started cleaning for the filling. I had to stop her in the middle and then realized there is now a big hole in my teeth. She said she has to do it to clean everything, she would have told me before even starting that she will make a hole. But this is not the worst part. Then she started drilling and I found it a bit unusual because I have had fillings before. But she kept doing it until I felt a sharp pain, she asked me to take a local anesthesia, being pregnant I was a bit reluctant and she said not much is left , so I decided to bear a little pain. Was very confused that why she drilling deeper and deeper. When the pain became in-tolerable I asked her to give me the injection. Pain never stopped and she re-filled the anesthesia 4 times. For half an hour job she then kept drilling and by the end I have lost half of my tooth. It took her hour and a half to finish it. So when I was leaving , her assistant handed me a pamphlet that says what Deep filling is , I literally had tears in my eyes because of this traumatizing experience. She never even explained me before starting the treatment that it is going to be a deep filling, if known I would have left the clinic straight away. She started drilling without even explaining anything and I don't think I needed one to be honest. Was in pain for 2 days and had to take panadols.

Fantastic experience: Lovely friendly receptionist & Awesome Dentist made sure each step was explained which is a priority for kids makes it a lot easier as it takes away the fear he also done a thorough check before we left and explained the X-rays taken as a caution, overall no hesitations on Recommending them for a Great service Thankyou

Negative experience: One of the worst dentist I have ever visited. I went for some tooth ace, ended up spending $1500, still my tooth hurts. Dentist replaced crown for no reason, while replacing the crown she over grinded my tooth exposing the nerves. Also she grinded tooth's around the crown, exposing those nerves too, now my whole right of mouth hurts. She was rude and never walked me through the process after treatment. I went to other dentist to get temporary relief, using those medications since 1 year now. Shame on you and your dentist degree. There is more to the story, maybe later.

Fantastic experience: Too easy, even on a public holiday. Extraction with no pain performed. Great price too. Not a fancy witing room, which is fine with me, I went to get my tooth fixed, not sit on the finest leather suite while admiring astonshing wall hangings! Negative experience: Very disappointed with service, my appointment was for 12.30 and my turn came at 1pm, it was very worst experience with Dr. Surbhi Patel was very rude and disrespectful, they charge 100$ for X-ray and 75$ for consultation but there is no treatment no relief from pain specially. highly unsatisfied with Dr Surbhi Patel’s behaviour with patient, the other staff was nice, Please don’t waste ur hard earned money on southern cross because they charge more than the market. Dr Surbhi Patel please talk nicely with patients and you know how you spoke to me, we pay our hard earned money Thanks

Fantastic experience: From the get go, the receptionists customer service was excellent. Even more the dentist Gayatri, and the nurses Karen and Tatiana had made the removal of my wisdom teeth today the most comfortable dentistry experience I've had. A+ service to them.

Negative experience: EDIT on 16/11/2021: I am adding this comment after the fact…My daughter has been back to this same dentist to have her stitches removed. Before treating her again the Dentist had personally apologised to my daughter. My daughter said that the apology was genuine and I am glad that he did apologise. A slightly calmed down Mother. NOT F$&@@$ ACCEPTABLE!!! My pregnant 20 year old daughter made an appointment for an extraction due to massive tooth ache for a week. She could not bear the pain. Coming into white cross dental she was treated by Dentist R Saini. Who told her the treatment would take 30 minutes. Her appontment was at 3pm and she had messaged me that the dentist had put the anaesthesia in and that she wouldnt be long. 3 and a half hours later!!! She was still in there, we phoned reception more than once to find out anything and no answer!!! so I went in to see if everything was ok!!! The dental assistant apologised and said that she had “called it” a few times but the dentist continued. At this point my daughter was off the seat and the dentist went to write a script. My daughter looked traumatised and had been crying. She said she felt everything!!! The drill!! The pulling!!! The stitches!!! She kept putting her hand up to her cheek and dentist would tell her to put her hand down. My daughter said her body was shaking uncontollably and the pain was the worst she ever felt in her life! This treatment cost $480.00!!! No apology from the dentist! No explanation. The assistant was the only one concerned and no one listened to her!!! Almost 4 hours of dentistry pain for a young woman 4 months pregnant is NOT ACCEPTABLE! My daughter already had trust issues with the dentist and now she is traumatised for life!!! Not F$&$&$ acceptable!!! Very very angry Mother!!!

Fantastic experience: I went for a wisdom tooth extraction today. Level 4 lockdown. I had a great dentist (a guy forgot his name). I was expecting to pay over $400 but it was $350 very reasonable. The dentist offered me panadol and neurofin before the process and I believe this really helped because I had no pain Afterwards when the numbing sensation went away 5hrs later.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the way I was treated. The questions I asked regarding reactions to the meds they gave me got shut down and told it was something I was doing. Dentist Gayatri was rude. I was told by 2 seperate nurses that my final checkup was free (prior to this appt), so they made my check-up appointment. Due to recent Covid lockdowns, it was rescheduled 3 separate times (understandable). But, as i was leaving my appointment, I was told that I had to pay due to “it being during Covid” which I was not informed of prior. Only 1 nurse was lovely and made me feel good while leaving the dentist. I wont be returning here. Against peoples recommendations of not going here, i did, i wish i listened.

Negative experience: Continuous mix ups with appointments and dentist. Multiple different dentists all with different things to say about my recovery. Pulled out a stitch that was meant to be removed with the others 2 weeks ago and it was rotten from being missed. Wouldn’t go here again.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience. Treated so well by Linda Teo and her dental assistant while getting a tooth extraction. Assured me and explained everything that was done beforehand every step of the way which I appreciated. the receptionist was great too.

Negative experience: $650 for two teeth to be extracted. I was swallowing chunks of my teeth as they were removing them and then I had a trip to the ER in the early hours of the morning because of the blood loss.
