Fantastic experience: I tried Dental Today in Onehunga after 7 years of neglecting my teeth. It was a great choice, loved how welcoming it felt walking in and how quickly I was examined and x-rays taken. Tony gave me great confidence that he has the skills and experience to deal with my many problems, including a failing implant. When I left I felt a sense of relief that not only will I finally get the work done that I had been putting off for years but based on my first impression I am confident that I can trust Tony to give me great advice, and 100% no doubts that he will be able to do an exceptional job. I have to mention too, that after I left I went back because I had forgotten to pay for the consult, only to find out that it had been a free new client consultation - that was a great surprise! I thoroughly recommend Dental Today Onehunga!

Negative experience: My wife (Tamana Safizada )had a root canal and filling teeth back in 2022 , the root canal was very poor and also the filling which comes off and broken this year and we went to another dental at dominon dental centre mt roskil after the did x ray they find out the root canal was not done properly , so we start again with root canal and filling and because of was wrong filling the teeth broken from the side and now we have to put a crown for that too . I called last week 3 times to advice this office about there work but they didn’t pick up even my phone Never go here very expensive and very poor work Don’t waste your time and money at this place

Process was clearly told to me and it didnt even hurt eve from having the needle to numb the area that needed fixing. It was a sign to come here after my daughter had her invisalign done and ill make sure my family comes

Negative experience: Do NOT recommend!!! I had a terrible experience with Tony Dey. I went in to have two cavities filled, but what should have been a straightforward procedure has caused me years of pain and frustration. Another dentist later informed me that the work was done entirely wrong, yet I still ended up paying the full price for what should have been a proper service at Dental Today. It only took him 20 minutes to fill both cavities, which is shockingly fast if you’re aiming for quality. Unfortunately, the fillings he placed have been affecting my gums ever since, causing pain every time I eat. The long-term consequences of his poor work have been exhausting and expensive to fix. I deeply regret ever going to this dentist. Save yourself the trouble—avoid this place.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak higher of the team Dental Today. They have been my dentist for some time now but recently I had pretty major work completed including invisalign and crowns to realign my teeth. I could not be happier with the results and can recommend Frazier, Kyle and the team for any work needed completed.

Positive experience: Given that dental costs are gold here at NZ, Dental Today makes an effort to be worth the money. The dentist Kyle and even the assistants are great - gentle but precise, friendly but focused. They are very clear on the costs, no surprises on billing. The clinic is clean and its location is really good too. The only problem I have is that on the three appointments I had they always start late. On the first two I thought: okay maybe the prep time is included, 20 minutes is nothing. But on the last one I had last week they called to change my 3pm appointment to 2:15pm, which I agreed to as I was feeling guilty booking on a Friday anyway. Went on time (earlier even), but they only attended to me at 2:55pm. When I got there they were just about to start on the patient before me. Not sure why they made me come earlier, it seemed like the double booked so it felt really disrespectful of my time. Was frustrated because I had to leave work early, and the time lost could’ve been added to my dental money lol. On the bright side I guess at least you know they take their time with clients and do not rush sessions. Punctuality is just a personal pet peeve for me so I will be trying to look for a better clinic. If time is not an issue for you then this one is almost perfect

Fantastic experience: I hate dentists! I always have the worst experience, but for once I had the best dental experience in my life! :D Frazier is the genuine goat. I had fillings completed, the injections and drilling always freak me out, but he was very gentle and it was by far the most painless dental experience I’ve had. Super fast, super efficient - I’m happy that I just happened to book with him, because everything worked out great! Ngā mihi ki koutou!

Positive experience: The dental hygienist, Lily Wei, did a wonderful job as always! She explained thoroughly each step of the procedure that she was doing! HOWEVER, the receptionist, Indian lady as I didn’t get the chance to get her name because she was rude, dismissive and unprofessional - I was merely asking a question nicely and double checking that what I was paying for is for scaling and polishing and she just kept asking me if I am paying by eftpos??? I would give the professional clinical team 10/10 but you guys might want to hire a more professional and friendly receptionist.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of visiting my now new Dentist and I absolutely appreciate the professionalism, kind demeanor of Farah, she made me feel very welcome and is definitely an action lady. As for my dental hygienist Catherine she is just the best. I recommend you ask for her the next time you need a dental hygienist.

Negative experience: Unprofessional To the owner's response - It doesn't let me respond directly hence commenting on review. I did contact directly but it was of no use, my concerns were thrown out the window. You need to have receptionist who understands communication properly and dentists who have professionalism. Its less about about communication and more about making money

Positive experience: Booked a scale and polish through grabone deal, I booked online though the grabone deal for a Friday but when I showed up they said I was booked in for the wrong treatment and the oral hygiene lady is not in today, this was disappointing and could have been avoided by a simple followup call to confirm what my voucher was for. However my re-booking with the oral hygiene lady today (didn't get her name) she was amazing, she took the time and did an amazing job and talked me through what she was doing and gave me some good advice at the end. Will 100% come here again.

Negative experience: My partner scheduled an appointment via phone last week. Appointment is at 5.30pm. It is now 5.57pm. We can hear the dentist just chatting away to someone. The receptionist hasn't acknowledged us. Have to reschedule as now I am late for my next engagement. What a waste of time. So unprofessional.

Negative experience: I went in for a hygiene cleanse and refill for my cavity and they were both absolutely painful and the worst experience I've ever had with any dentist. To this day after my filling I'm in pain. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! It did not help that an apprentice was doing my cleanse and she caused heaps of pain in my gums and made me bleed heaps. I do not want to go back an complain because I'm sure they will try and take money from me to fix something they caused!!!!

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this place. So many canceled appointments and the dentist who originally was doing my braces had left and there’s someone new continuing with the treatments. Unable to get an appointment, so go to this dentist if you would like to have your braces on without any progress for a the whole year. I understand it’s Covid but why have so many patients then??? Because it’s obvious that you cannot provide treatment for all of them.

Fantastic experience: Took me a while to find a dental clinic that is willing to do adjustments for my braces which I had installed back in the Philippines. I understand that it would not always be the case but I am just so happy that Dr. Johay accepted the job. It's been 7 months since I became their patient and so far happy with the results. Negative experience: If you value your health and well being DO NOT VISIT THIS DENTIST. ***UPDATE*** I have had all dental work carried out by Johay Amith assessed by a specialist (endodontist) including 3D scans. All the work performed by Johay Amith is inadequate and has to be re-visited & I am going to lose one major molar that he carried out root canal treatment on - the reason for this is his failure to use correct hygiene practises (rubber dental dam) when carrying out the root canal treatments. I sought dental treatment at Dental Today Onehunga in mid 2015 (also known as the Blue Bungalow) and was advised that I needed 2, maybe 3 root canal treatments and a wisdom tooth extraction. The first red flag was when the first dentist that treated me was no longer employed at the clinic 2 days after my first appointment (I should have gone elsewhere at this stage!) The second was when passed out in the surgery a day after treatment because I was in so much pain and feeling so sick. Not more than 12 months after a number of appointments and money spent I was in pain again, in the same tooth that was the reason I visited the dentist initially, only to discover that two of the purported root canals had not been completed (had been left with temporary packing for 9 months or so), I had major infection in one. When I called and visited for the dentist to address the infection I was charged a further amount, not until I ended up in hospital with searing pain and sent a formal letter raising my concerns about treatment did the dentist attempt to put right what had already gone so badly wrong. Some 13 visits later post falling very ill due to re-infection of the same tooth (due to being left incomplete), an abscess in another tooth also worked on by this dentist (they said they did a root canal, charged me for a root canal, but it turns out they only did a filling) I have been advised that I must now seek treatment with an oral surgeon, it is likely I will lose at least one of the teeth and likely I have bone loss from the infection & abscess as a result of treatment by Dental Today, Onehunga (Dr Johay Amith). I have been chronically unwell for months, lost income due to being unable to work from treatment and consider myself very lucky to avoid a blood infection (sepsis) due to the infection and injury caused by the negligence of this dentist. I expect my oral health will never be the same again and that I will have dental issues for years to come as a result of the dental misadventure by way of treatment at Dental Today (Dr Johay Amith).
