Fantastic experience: Excellent experience July 2023 My dentist left and George has taken his place. Had another tooth out and didn’t feel a thing. George was fast and made sure he numbed the gums first so totally painless. George is easy to talk to, knowledgeable and gives good advice. Even managed to do a filling on a tooth that I thought was too far gone and I was surprised that he managed to get the height right first pop. Don’t hesitate if you need a good dentist see George. 2025…Still seeing George. The man is born to his skill. Such a light hand you hardly notice him working. I used to be terrified of dentists but I now make an appointment at the first sign of a problem. Just found out they have an in-house machine that makes the caps for teeth. Very convenient as you can get the job done in a day in the same place. The receptionists and nurses are also very warm and helpful. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Awful, dentist put way too much filling in my teeth and caused them to crack and crumble. Now I'm costing more fixing it.

Negative experience: I've got attended by a brazilian dentist that performed a root cannal in the most peculiar way, he destroyed my gum and even the assistant was worried about the procedure. Please dodge this clinic at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Just recently changed here to use as my new dentist/ hygienist. I was very pleased with the friendly service and caring staff. Patient and well mannered service, they were more than happy to help and answer my extra questions. Good advice. Prices are reasonable, and Afterpay is offered which helps a lot.

Fantastic experience: My dad was a tricky customer - at age 90 he was having trouble with his existing denture and had lost trust in the last two dentists he had seen. George was wonderful with him and assured him he would do his best to make a denture that would fit and not hurt. And he was true to his word. My dad is now smiling and eating and is a very happy chappy. The experience has restored his self esteem.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to the team at Capital Dental Newtown for around 15 years. They actually make visiting the dentist somewhat enjoyable - the crew are personable yet professional. They always seem transparent and I’ve never felt like they are ripping me off - they just tell me how it is and give me options, I appreciate that.

Fantastic experience: Capital Dental Newtown has always treated me well. The cleaning and service is efficient, thorough and professional. I cannot think of any negatives. When I first went to CDN, my gums were bleeding and receding. It took a lot of skill and elbow grease to clean them properly. Three years later, I have healthy gums and strong teeth, which don't bleed and are easy to floss and clean. Ian

Negative experience: I’ve been a happy & grateful patient there for 4 years & had 3 wonderful dentists there but sadly no longer. An incident this year was where I was told categorically by the new dentist a tooth was dead & I would either need a root canal or extraction & referred me to the specialist . However $440 later the specialist told me that tooth was fine . I was pretty shocked & not too happy to hear this . I would’ve been at peace with this if only the dentist had given me the disclaimer that it might not be that tooth .She was certain it was . I went back & spoke to the dentist who was defensive & rude . I spoke to the practice manager to vent my frustration & tried to see if we could find a compromise solution to restore my faith . Perhaps a reduction on the price for a filling I needed . He did listen however 100% backed the dentist ( as you do ) . He said it’s not an exact science . I can understand this but again if I had been given a disclaimer I wouldn’t be writing this . He did after a few long phone calls begrudgingly give me a $40 credit . I haggled up from his first offer of $25 I have found the practice manager to be fair & helpful in previous dealings .Also I’ve always found the staff there very friendly & helpful The final straw for me was when I was charged $175 for a 20 min hygienist appointment this week . I was only in the chair for 19 mins Now there’s daylight robbery I used to highly recommend them but with a heavy heart sadly I can’t anymore

Everyone I interacted with including the receptionist, dentist and dental assistant were extremely caring and professional. The job was completed in 30mins and was extremely well done. Fantastic experience: Honestly, hands down the very best dental practices in Wellington. From their amazing dentists, hygienists , dental assistants and reception staff, you will not find better. Such a great team, always go above and beyond, always so helpful in explaining everything to giving tips and are always so good at getting back to you. Such a find! you will not regret giving these guys a try! Cannot recommend enough .

Negative experience: From their website it seems there's new staff there, but this review is about a complaint about the manager/owner who at that time dealt with a genuine complaint aggressively. I had a tooth removed due an infection underneath it, even before antibiotics were tried. The dentist who did it told me the dentist I previously saw, at the same clinic, should have told me I needed a hole in my gum from wisdom tooth extraction, closed, then I wouldn't have got the infection. When I complained the manager/owner flew into denial of what I had been told by the dentist, became insulting, and blamed my mouth hygiene, I'm 56, I brush twice a day and use interdental brushes, and stated to me it was all due to gum decease only. If you go here I hope you have no problems because complaining is a waste of time, and dealt with, defensively and aggressively.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional service; as a first-time customer I required 'urgent dental' and I was so pleased with the personal response, greeted on arrival at surgery, and procedure explained clearly with options by the dentist, including price estimates. Very pleasant staff and while a dentist visit is not high on my 'things to do' it was made as good an expereince as possible. Recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have been with the clinic for just over a year now and have had the best experience every time I went. Extremely competent dentist and hygienist that take the time to explain every part of your treatment which is amazing. Staff at reception are always incredible helpful and super friendly as well. Quick in responding via email to get an appointment and never hard to get hold of 'm on the phone either. you'll get text messages before your appointment to remind you and the option to change if you have to which I find very helpful. I would recommend this clinic to anyone!

Negative experience: Dental cleaning and x-ray are ok. Receptionist booked me for a wisdom tooth extraction for a not credited practitioner (insurance) knowing that I have insurance. Ending, waste of months waiting and planning.

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful to June and the whole team at Capital Dental in Newtown. Not only did they address my overall fear of going to the dentist in the first place, but also helped me overcome that fear by being gentle, kind, and explaining to me everything that was going on. I went from crying in my first consultation to wanting to hug them all for how sweet and understanding they all were. I really can't speak highly enough of the team and would nominate them for some kind of award if I could! Thank you for making me want to smile even bigger than ever before!

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist. After 6 years of hiding and my wife nagging me, I finally made an appointment with Capital Dental. After my excellent dental and pleasant hygiene appointment's, I am actually looking forward to going back in a year. They don't charge stupid prices either. Happy Teeth

Fantastic experience: Great dental surgery. I've seen one of the dentists and the dental hygienist and they were both wonderful. I'm a really nervous patient, but they were professional, kind, and took the time to explain what they were doing, which made it the most relaxing dental experience I've ever had! I also got heaps of useful tips on how to take better care of my teeth. Best dentist I've ever been to. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Initially I thought the dentist was fantastic and a good price, but every filling that was done subsequently failed, so I had to keep going back and paying more. One filling which I was told would last at least a year failed within a month. I tried emailing the practice manager but that proved fruitless. I ended up paying an exorbitant amount, which I found out after calling some of the other branches of Capital Dental to compare, so I'll be finding another dentist with more experience who doesn't overcharge.

He took the time to answer each question I had and I never felt rushed. To top it all off, the price I paid was quite affordable.

Fantastic experience: I went t see constance with a missing front tooth veneer that had already been going on for four months. I was at my wits end and it was very stressful not having a front tooth. She managed to send me t the right tooth maker and instal it correctly so that hopefully it will stay. this was much cheaper than a quote I was given elsewhere and they wanted to put an implant in. I am so thankful for constance as she knows what she is doing.

Positive experience: I originally went to Capital Dentists because I had a discount voucher but I've continued to go to them over the the last 2 years because I'm happy with the treatment, services & price. The the folk who run it are pleasant is a bonus as is the ease of parking.

As I am in the medical sector myself, I understand the level of effort they put into their clinic to provide professional, welcoming and excellent care. People of note that I need to commend - Carrie is so onto it, it's never been so easy to organise an appointment. Also such a great person to chat to whilst waiting (which is not very long) - My dentist Constance is amazing. I have had bad experiences with other dentists, but Constance is very caring and thorough. I wish she could even do braces so that I wouldnt need to see other dentists haha

Fantastic experience: These guys straightened my teeth beautifully in only 5 months (with Fast Braces). The staff are beyond lovely and I am no longer an anxious dental visitor! Honestly, I put off having a brace for years and Jess made it so easy and pleasant. The hygienists are also great and I no longer have gum disease. Highly recommended.
