Negative experience: This was a while ago now so I'm not sure if staff have rotated out or not, but I have had great experiences with Dr. Nash and Dr. Paul, couldn't fault them. But the oral health therapists need more dentists/higher ups looking over them. One of the therapists who I believe was named Mina (she was Iraqi and very sweet) said that my case was too complex and I needed to see a doctor, and said she probably can't do anything but can try do something in the appointment time allocated. I was obviously very hesitant to this, but I trusted her as a professional even though it makes no sense to numb me up and not complete a procedure (and I had never heard of an oral health hygienist numbing an adult). But I trusted her and she indeed numbed me up, poked around, saying she can't do anything and I left with a numb mouth without any procedures done. Also, when asking for advice about fillings etc, she told me that fillings last "forever" very confidently, which even I knew was not true, and so does a quick google search. My step-son also had 3 fillings done with Andy and just under a year later the decay had come up from underneath the fillings and we went to another dentist to re-do them. The dentist said the decay was either not completely cleaned out before the filling was put in or it was a misdiagnosis and fillings were done on teeth which didn't have enough decay to warrant a filling. I don't want to completely blame Andy as there's no way to be sure, but I would've appreciated a heads up if there were any concerns. Thanks

Fantastic experience: While out of NZ the cap came off my tooth. I waited until we returned to NZ yesterday and called into Kumeu Dental on our way home. They were absolutely awesome and gave me an early morning appointment today to see Dr Nash. I cannot speak more highly of Dr Nash and all of the team for their support and service. Fantastic experience: Over the past 1 1/2 years Kumeu Dental has been absolutely incredibly in fixing my teeth after a freak horse riding accident with multiple broken teeth. They have worked amazingly with my endodontist and helped so much in my full recovery and giving me my smile back. Dr Nash has been amazing for this whole thing and today I was lucky enough to have my final major appointment where Dr Nash and Cass both worked so well and efficiently in fitting a ceramic crown over the most broken tooth, making sure I was happy with it along the way and it honestly couldn’t look any better and more natural. You two are both incredible and I can’t thank the team at Kumeu Dental enough for how incredible you guys have all been. You’re all the best and I couldn’t recommend you all more.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for a few years now. I used to live in Kumeu so went local. Now I don't live in Kumeu anymore but still make the 30 minute drive because of how good they are. Very friendly staff. From the receptionists to the hygienists to the Doctors. Everyone is so easy to work with and so nice. Dr. Nash has been great. Done a few fillings with him and recently just did a root canal. It was so easy going I nearly fell asleep in the chair. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Hands down , the best dental clinic I have ever been in my life. From the second you phone them, to when you walk into the clinic and get seen by the dentist, the customer service provided by the team is beyond exceptional. I spoke with Aria on the phone several times, enquiring for last minute appointments as my toothache was advancing. She was polite, calm and understanding. It really made a huge difference for me, for someone who doesn’t like going to the dentist, I feel at ease knowing that I am going to be treated with kindness and compassion during my visit. The dentist who treated me was Dr Alyaa. She was professional , calm, friendly and helpful. She let you know what she is doing every steps of the way. She even gone out of her way to stay a little bit longer so she can complete part of my treatment today. Fantastic experience: I have had a lot of work done at Kumeu Dental over the past 4 years including braces. Each and every staff member that I have dealt with has been so kind and welcoming and they've taken the time to get to know me. Everyone is friendly and accommodating and I would highly recommend them. I have mainly dealt with Dora and Nash and they have been amazing! Very kind and knowledgeable. My toddler has also had 2x visits and the staff there really helped him to feel at ease. Just had my braces removed today and I am very impressed with the results. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I have just had an implant and replacement tooth fitted by Dr Nash. During the whole process I was well informed and given all options when I had to have a molar removed due to a bad crack that was not able to be reoaired. It left a big gap so I decided on an implant. I was not looking forward to the whole process but Dr Nash and the team at Kumeu Dental are so friendly and caring and put you at ease. The treatment i received from Dr Nash was skilled and thorough. The process of tooth removal, healing, implant and new tooth took nearly 12 months but for me it was the best option and I would recommend it for anyone considering the options of tooth repair.

Negative experience: I would advise to follow your gut instincts and to stand your ground about your health. After a procedure I was in a lot of pain and very unwell. I rang to see if I should come to see Nash again about it and get some antibiotics. He relayed a message to say it won't be an infection, just deferred pain and I should take more painkillers. This lack of attention resulted in an emergency doctor visit where I got the necessary antibiotics.

Fantastic experience: Last year my son bashed his front tooth - a few months later it began to show signs of discolouration. We had an initial assessment six months after the accident and then a further follow up confirmed the tooth was dying. Dr Nash performed a root canal (my son almost fell asleep ) and there were several short visits over the next few weeks during which Dr Nash applied a whitening treatment to the inside of the tooth. The final results are fantastic - you would never know the tooth had died, it has gone from grey to pearly white! We moved all our family to Kumeu Dental just over a year ago and I would highly recommend this practice; staff are friendly, caring, professional and so well organised with the ladies on the front desk doing an amazing job with bookings and reminders.

The reception team check in with appointment reminders and follow ups and are super helpful. Dr Nash is kind, friendly and has done an amazing job giving me a smile back. Fantastic experience: I was so nervous about my wisdom tooth extraction today after a terrible experience with a different dental clinic. What can I say, Nash and Snow were amazing, they really put me at ease. Nash explained everything to me beforehand and was gentle and professional throughout. Snow was kind and always smiling and reassuring. On top of that the tooth was out in a couple of minutes. I will never go anywhere else. If you've had a bad experience before or just want a lovely, friendly and professional service I highly recommend this practice. Fantastic experience: Dr Nash has been my dentist for many years and I have always appreciated his professionalism and commitment to his patients. The whole team (dentist, hygienist, assistant and receptionists) looked after our family so well accommodating a young baby with a pram, and navigating appointment changes due to sickness etc. A lovely practice to belong to where everyone is friendly, approachable and experienced. Negative experience: I really wish I can say that we had a good experience with you guys today like the other reviews here but here I am, recalling what happened today with Andy and my child with guilt and anger in my heart. We left your clinic with a traumatized kid and I the Mom feeling guilty because I feel like i should have done more and said more when my child was screaming in pain for a very simple procedure that was done to her. And then when we walked out, the receptionist told me that my child was probably anxious that’s why she was crying. And not because she was really in pain? Just to make it clear and for Andy to realize why my child cried… the equipment that u put in my daughter’s mouth (the tray for the clay) had a very sharp edge that dug into her mouth, and then when she cried, you pushed that clay thing more which made her scream more in pain. She was truly sore and not acting out. I was there, i saw it and i was also shocked. And when you released it you just stood there stunned not even offering my child a water or tissue to clean her mouth. You kept asking her why she was crying but i’m not sure if you really listened to her. Recalling back to what happened, i am very angry that I did not question what you did and that I also doubted my child’s pain. I can never go back and change what happened. I think it was reckless that what happened, happen. And i’m really sad that my child went thru that. Maybe Next time if you didn’t want to do the procedure just don’t do it. I felt like you were hessitant to do it when you told me that my child doesn’t need a maintainer. And instead of comforting my daughter, you even offered me a colleague of yours to explain to me why my child doesn’t need a maintainer. We are not from the dental field but we wouldn’t come to your clinic if we were not advised to have it done. We went to your clinic with high expectations because of all the good things said here in your page…i just wish we had the same experience like them.

Fantastic experience: After being mucked around by many other dental clinics, it was such a relief to find out that Kumeu Dental did Invisalign. I went through the Invisalign process with Nash who was very helpful, understanding and did everything he could do to make the experience best it could be. He was very flexible to fit me into his schedule when I needed it and was very supportive throughout the whole process, while offering the best options for retainers after the Invisalign process. I recently went for a hygienist appointment with Hana who was very gentle, chatty and made it an overall comfortable experience. Thank you to you both! Highly highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I found Alya so gentle and informative, I felt like she wanted to know what was important to me rather than taking a blanket approach. She explained everything thoroughly and even with tooth extraction she was so gentle I could barely feel the local anesthetic going in. Fantastic experience: I had not been to the Dentist for years and was petrified about the thought of going. I was so fortunate to end up being seen by Dr Nash. I told him that I had wanted to have braces since my teenage years. He discussed the options available thoroughly with me which resulted me choosing invisalign at age 46! These are so easy to take care of, comfortable and you can barely see that you have them on. I nowI would highly recommend these to anyone else contemplating orthodontic treatment. As for Dr Nash he is super friendly has a great sense of humour and maintains a high level of professionalism. 10/10

Fantastic experience: The Kumeu Team are fantastic! After delaying my dental visits a few years too many I finally plucked up the courage to get a check completed. The team are so warm and welcoming and because of this I felt comfortable at all times throughout my visit. I highly recommend them and I'll certainly be back.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't visited a dentist in over 15 years, absolutely hated the thought of it. However I needed a root canal and vistied Dr Nash & his team after reading the amazing reviews. I finished my second session of my root canal yesterday and it completely amazes me how Dr Nash can work in such a small confined space (the mouth) let alone inside a small tooth! At times I felt bad that I didnt have my mouth open wide enough. Nash has such a calm gentle friendly nature that makes you feel so comfortable, trusting and at ease. Who would have thought that I almost definitely could have fallen asleep both sessions during a ROOT CANAL!! Could not fault this highly professional, friendly team from the booking appointments, the girls at the front counter, the hygienist, the procedure. Just everything was amazing, and I never ever thought I would say that about a dentist visit. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr Nash. I highly recommend Dr Nash and Kumeu Dental, it was pain free, quick and well priced. The follow up advice was great.

Negative experience: Called to try and make an appointment because my filling fell out and I am in a lot of pain with food getting stuck in my tooth and ill most likely need the tooth extracted. The lady said they are fully booked until Wednesday and thats when level 4 would be over anyway (being real it probably wont be) and to try Glenfield or Henderson whitecross. I medically am unable to drive so to get a taxi that far is impossible for me, she didn't even offer to book me an appointment for the Wednesday either and it honestly sounded like she just wanted to get me off the phone! I have caregivers 2 to 3 times a day and a nurse once a week and am highly vulnerable, I dont leave the house so the fact that I am making an appointment (well tried) for my tooth speaks volumes for me.

Fantastic experience: Had my quarterly session with the Hygienist today and what can I say, impeccable service and Ashley especially was her usual very professional self, yet as always made you feel welcome, relaxed and interested in you as a person - If Google had six stars I would given 7.

Fantastic experience: My family have been going to Kumeu Dental for a while now, and i have just started going myself after putting off going to the dentist for a while. Visited TK this morning after seeing Dr Nash initially for my first consultation. Both were very helpful, welcoming and put me at ease immediately. Fantastic experience: After avoiding the dentist for nearly a decade I had terrifying visions of lengthy painful dental surgery but Dr. Nash really took care of me. He took the time to listen to my issues, didn't rush me or presume anything and came up with a simple solution which was resolved in two pain free sessions and cost significantly less than I feared. In addition, when my teeth took an unexpected and sudden turn for the worse prior to my pre-booked appointment he fitted me in on a very busy Saturday which I was extremely grateful for. I wish I had not delayed so long, I no longer have pain and sensitivity, can drink red wine again and have stopped using toothpaste for sensitive teeth! Thank you Dr. Nash for putting the confidence and healthy look back in to my smile :D

Fantastic experience: Never liked having a clean - but since choosing the option to have an application of de-sensitising gel (free) - this makes this a much better experience. Plus the professional friendly TK is an expert!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Nash and his team are amazing, if I had the option to give kumeu dental a hundred stars on Google I would! I had traumatic experiences through out my childhood so much so I avoid the dentist for 15 years, then I hit a bit of a crisis with one tooth, family and friends all recommended I got to kumeu dental. Straight from the consultation I felt more and more at ease. Everything was explained clearly, my procedure went smoothly and I never felt any pain and post-procedure I woke up feeling 100%. Cant recommend kumeu dental enough!
