Fantastic experience: Ana and the team at Swanson Dental are second to none. After being hesitant with what the braces journey entailed all of our worries were washed away when we met Ana. Our daughter had nothing but the highest of care and every step of the way was always well explained. Fantastic experience: Had such a wonderful experience on Friday with Ana and Elena. We rung early morning as my son awoke in a lot of pain. We were able to see Ana for our initial consult and then Elena to have the area cleaned and received excellent recommended home care. By end of the weekend the area was so much better! They also picked up an issue with his lip tie which hadn't been noted by previous dental clinic and have put through referral to have this correct. Our son has had extensive dental work previously and is now very nervous. As an apprehensive 8-year-old he understood everything clearly and was so comfortable and happy with the experience. Amazing!

Fantastic experience: Real pleasure to have used this dentist. Straight in fir a filling, with a potential need for a crown, they are mindful of cost and suggested if the filling doesn't work, they will refund the cost through to the crown. They are upfront on cost, so you have no surprises. Followed up with the hygienist, who was also lovely. Gave me plenty of tips and tricks. Cannot recommend the team enough. Just fantastic.

Fantastic experience: I've been to Swanson Dental a few times, and each time I'm always treated with the utmost care. The staff are friendly and efficient, and throughout my entire appointment today with Elena the hygienist, she was very attentive and caring. The dentist Ana is also always very friendly and informative, and I look forward to seeing her on Monday. I never have a negative experience, and highly recommend coming here!

Fantastic experience: I’m travelling from the UK and noticed the surgery so walked in to enquire the cost of a hygienist appointment. By chance the Hygienist was able to see me straight away so I accepted. She was very gentle, explained the whole procedure, kept checking to make sure I wasn’t uncomfortable and gave good advice about continuing to care for my teeth. Although I won’t ever be in the area again, if I was I would certainly return. Highly recommended

What stood out to me was their sense of urgency. They took my concerns seriously and made sure to address them promptly. It's reassuring to know that they prioritise their patients needs and understand the importance of timely dental care. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I feel much more at ease about my dental health now. It's great to have found a dentist and team that I can trust and feel comfortable with.

She listened to everything I had to say and took into consideration what I thought was important to know and gave me the correct treatment to stop my gums from bleeding which happened immediately. Highly recommend! Very effective deep cleaning treatment. I was expecting to be in pain after the anesthetic wore off because she said I would, but had pretty much no pain at all.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever! I have contacted you and you were very rude. Stop treating customers rudely and stop discriminating. I’m thinking to take my matter to race relations. I noticed you dug the needle deep into another patient. Are you doing this deliberately?! I’d like to know how many people you’ve done this to. It’s a disgrace!

The dental office was clean, modern, and well-equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The Dentist Chair was the most comfortable chair ever! I would pay money to just sit on that chair again. One aspect that impressed me the most was the level of personalized care I received. The Hygienist Elena and Dentist Ana tailored their treatment plan specifically to address my unique dental needs and concerns. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend Swanson Dental as the go-to destination for all your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I've been a client with Ana since 2016. When we started, the state of my dental was a mess. I think in NZ, dental isn't something you take seriously unless you're taught to or need to - I was at the 'need-to' stage. Ana worked with me to build a staged plan to bring everything back up to scratch. The plan mapped the procedures in order of priority, the investment required and then the timeframe was up to me. I'm incredibly grateful for the service of her and her team. I also love supporting local business!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Swanson Dental since they opened. The service, care, and follow-up has been exceptional - Always feeling like a person/patient rather than a 'number' like I'd felt with some of the chain dentists. I had a few fillings in that first 1-2 visits but hadn't been to a dentist for 2-3 years prior so somewhat to be expected. Since then, I think I've had just a single filling (nothing in the past 4-5 years), never feeling like work was being done unnecessarily - Something I'd always been worried about prior. Work was always explained prior, with justification being shown on x-rays. Prices are fair and reasonable, to the point where I now see the hygienist every six months, and dentist annually. The advice has always been sound, and corrective changes (at their advice) in my behavior has been noticed - without my having to say anything. So yeah... Overall a really solid 5 stars! I've since recommended a number of friends without hesitation. Thank you!

Negative experience: Interesting reading back on all these current 1 star reviews, I thought I may have been the only one who had such a terrible experience here. Approx 6 years ago or round abouts when they first opened I went in for a check up and clean ( have always had reasonably good teeth and no issues) low and be hold I all of a sudden need 4 fillings and a 1 hour clean. OK fine, I go ahead with it. 1 Filling was done so deep she damaged the nerve, approx 2 weeks later a root canal procedure was done to give relief as Ana damaged the nerve so badly. A year later a different dentist noticed the job hadn't been finished and capped it for me. The treatment failed 3 years in. It got so badly infected I required sedation and a 3 hours surgery to correct this, Also Ana did not use a Dam in any of these procedures, this is a dental requirement. It seems insane that she is still practicing's and causing so many people discomfort and pain. I have been in touch with the dental association and Fairgo and they will be interviewing me next week and going to the surgery to discuss my story

Fantastic experience: If I could, I would give more than 5 stars. My whole family has been going to Swanson Dental for the last 8 years and their service has been amazing. They are a family run Dental practise and they make you feel part of their family. They educated us on proper brushing and flossing, in the interest of avoiding dental issues. They introduced us to the Oral B electric toothbrush and the Waterpik flossing machine. They’ve been great at reminding us and completing the twice a year clean and heath check. Ana and Elena take the time to listen to your concerns and offer honest and upfront advice and outcomes. When it came time for braces for my son, there were a few issues so we had to consult an orthodontist, who advised us 4 teeth would need to be pulled, which we were not happy about as he was only 12-13 years old and felt it was too soon to be pulling 4 teeth at that age. We spoke to Ana about our concerns, we requested if there was any way possible for her to do the braces. Ana was upfront and honest about possible outcomes if she were to do the braces. Ana came up with a plan, there was no pressure, we decided to go ahead with Ana’s braces treatment plan, best decision we made, straight teeth and ALL 4 teeth were saved. YAY! I highly recommend Swanson Dental. Ana, Elena and Filipe, you guys are wonderful. Thank You.

Yes I raised my concern to the dentist in front of two receptionist but they just stand there and they said $200 please and I just paid it and walked off with my receipt ..

Fantastic experience: I came back to Swanson Dental all the way from Whangārei, as the team here are always so accomodating, friendly and professional. They always offer up simple to understand expert advice with a focus on your long term health and are fantastic at explaining all things to do with dental and oral hygiene and treatments. Well worth the trip down from up north to ensure I am getting the best care available.

Negative experience: I did not like Ana’s work or character. I went in for a root canal and her and her brother, the receptionist, were very rude. She was kind and friendly when I went in for the initial check up to see what work was required and to inform me of the cost. However, once treatment started their attitude changed. In one appointment she closed the door on my husband as he was coming in to accompany me for support, making it clear that he was not welcome and he ended up staying in the waiting room. Ana did not use a dam when preforming the root canal I needed at any of the visits. For close to $2000 I regret going there. Because her lack of using a dam my tooth got infected immediately and I went back and she gave me a temporary fix with antibiotics and she squeezed the pus out that had accumulated from not using the dam in a hurried manner which was painful because she didn’t use anything to help with pain. I phoned the NZ dental association and the head lady I spoke to told me Ana should have used a dam as Ana is a member and the association states that a dam is to be used when preforming a root canal. The lady was deeply dissapointed in Ana not usu g a dam. Within two weeks after all of this I went to two other denists for their opinion and they said more work was required and she should have used a dam and she also should have informed me of an extra cost at the outset and not after the first session of the treatment. I also went to an orthodontists who said more work was required. At one point Ana also sent her assistant out when she was putting needle in for a local and she dug it in very deep and I told her it was very sore and she said “yes it does hurt” and instead of stopping she continued to push it harder. I have never gone back there and I now have a very nice dentist elsewhere. Swanson Dentist is a rude team that lies and I feel they discriminated against me because of my religion. Down right rude and hidden intentions. Her brother gas lighted me in front of all the patients for getting a loan to pay for my treatment and then he tried tried to catergorise me as ‘a partictular type of client’ that cant afford to pay for the treatment acting all superior. My dentist I am with now is the polar opposite and goes out of her way with fantastic quality work and fantastic customer service, unlike thr experience at Swanson Dentist. Ana! Don’t take advantage of your clients. Kiwi’s are kind people. Start doing the work properly and stop looking down on people and thinking that just because you have so called “qualifications” means that you can treat people like you are better than them. What goes around comes around and one day you will be held accountable for your ill intentions.

Negative experience: Made an appointment for the following week. Got a babysitter. Drove 30 mins from babysitter to dentist just to be told appointment was not that day. Asked if anything else Thursday this week but dentist was sick so that might be cancelled anyway. Come on guys! Took my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this dentist ordination and the whole team working there: Dr Ana who is a great dentist. She has a very precise approach during the check up-s,and is very professional in her work. Me and my two kids go to her and she is always funny and patient with them, praising them with stickers after the treatment, so going to the dentist is a lot of fun for all of us. Also, I have a great experience with Dr Elena who did a brilliant job once I needed the teeth cleaning service. My teeth were white and spotless when I left her ordination and I have received a lot of useful advices how to maintain them. The administration team is very helpful and in positive mood every time we go there or call. Thanks for everything guys!

Negative experience: terrible service especially to 7 year old children , fillings fell out a month later after saying they will be good for 3 to 4 years .... had to go through abscess about 3 times and antibiotics, absolutely shocking and they charged too much for the terrible work . I dont reccomend this place at all !

Fantastic experience: Going to the Dentist is my BIGGEST fear, let me start there! I always walk in with so much fear, but during my appointment and when I'm finished I always wonder what I was so afraid of. Swanson Dental is amazing, particularly Ana who I have had for all four wisdom teeth extractions and more recently a root canal (side note: I had my root canal done on the 10th of January, and they're not actually back from their Christmas break until the 14th. She came into work just for me and if that isn't great, caring customer service I don't know what is). Ana is amazing at her job, extremely warm natured and gives you all the best possible options for you and your bank account! Most of all, when I told her I was extremely nervous, she listened, didn't rush me and was very caring. It made me relax and the job was done in no time at all. Highly recommend for your next dental appointment! Thanks Ana :)

Fantastic experience: I was really petrified of the Dentist, use to shake and have anxiety . But when I enrolled at Swanson Dental, they immediately put me at ease. I needed alot of work sometimes two hours at a time. Immediately they put me at ease. So five stars to the awesome team at Swanson Dental. My whole family goes to Swanson Dental. Even my Aunt. Fantastic experience: The beautiful and friendly staff at Swanson Dental always make me feel welcome when I come for my appointments. Remembering my name and what is going on in my life, makes me feel very special. Their premises is very clean and professional looking, great exterior with heaps of parking and a mobility ramp; The interior has a large waiting room with a Dental TV (plays funny memes and pictures about dentistry). However, the main reason I will continue to use Ana (Dentist) + Elena (Hygienist), is their friendly attitudes, and their great service. It also helps that Swanson Dental has some of the lowest prices in the area.
