Fantastic experience: Provided professional, good advice and most importantly, great service!!!!. The staff are so friendly and amazing!

Negative experience: I know dentists aren't cheap but $350 for a 10 minute job of re-cementing a veneer is pretty excessive, I reckon, even for central Wellington. They also tried to discourage me from claiming ACC on the injury that caused the issue, even though the claim ended up being accepted. Even ACC were shocked by what they charged for such a quick and low cost procedure.

Fantastic experience: Had a minor emergency with my crown - they were able to see me right away. They were able to get everything put back in place and I was out the door in under an hour. Really professional staff, doctor, and assistants, great experience overall. Excellent care, I will definitely be returning for more regular visits.

Fantastic experience: I saw Melissa and Dikesh for a few years while living in Wellington for root canal re-treatment, general checkups and fillings. Have complete trust in their work. Consultations are very detailed, great to come away with a full understanding of the issues. A very well-run and welcoming practise.

Negative experience: I called these guys sometime last week to make an appointment for a clean and some major work at the earliest possible time. As I have been unwell with an autoimmune disorders I thought I should probably ask if the staff wears N95 or better types of masks that aren't the flimsy surgical ones, and they had air purifiers in the rooms along with CO2 monitors. Well I was disappointed to be told that these were not things they offered, and they seemed pretty firm in their stance that they were never going to enforce a better system within the practice, which is especially sad because I heard very good things about the level of work these dentists produce and I would have come in semi frequently, but unfortunately it's not a pandemic safe space despite dental/oral healthcare definitely being important components to our overall wellbeing. I have several friends if which I will warn them about this. Not one mitigations during a global pandemic. Honestly disgusted.

Negative experience: The A&E in Newtown has better pandemic precautions than this place. Perfect ventilation and air purification in there, in here. Nothing. And peoples mouths are wide open releasing aerosols. Gross how they won't spend a little money on patient safety. Not even the staff wearing any N95s either. We are 3 years into the pandemic. Do better.

Michelle is my hygienist she's super friendly and was able to make the uncomfortable procedure as pleasant as one could hope for. Doris the receptionist is always ready to crack a joke and she sings, so the waiting area is never boring, overall great team ,highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. Melissa was informative and always helpful. I had 6 extractions done in one day and I wasn't in too much pain thanks to the sedation and the awesome work from Steve and the team.

Fantastic experience: Was referred to Dr Steve to extract two impacted wisdom teeth the procedure went well and before I knew it, my two teeth were out and I was done the whole time I was worried over nothing. Highly recommend good service :)

Fantastic experience: I had not been to the dentist in years mostly because I am terrified of the dentist, needles and everything else that comes with the visit. However, Theo has been the absolute best at making me feel comfortable and even coping with the needles! Cannot reccomend him enough for anyone who struggles with fear around the dentist.

Fantastic experience: When I discovered my high-school friend Theo had become a dentist at Capital Dental, I was quick to make the switch and have him be my dentist. It was the best decision I could've made when it came to dental care. I've been with C.D on The Terrace for, gosh, 6/7 years if not more? And I'll never go anywhere else for as long as I live in this city. I always recommend C.D on The Terrace to all my friends. Fillings, wisdom teeth removal, fast braces, hygienist appointments - I've done them all here and each experience has been a good one. Plus, C.D accepts my Q card which has been a huuuge help. I also really appreciate how the Frontline reception know my name and always give me a warm, friendly greeting when I come in :) Thanks for all that you do, C.D Team!

Negative experience: I went a couple of times over the years, and they were always friendly and got the job done well. Until in 2014, I used a voucher (GrabOne, I think). That visit, they said I needed around five fissure sealants and two fillings. I wanted to get a quote somewhere else. They refused to give me my x-ray images because I used a voucher, and they were rude about it. Talking to dentists agreed that it was unethical. Quoting from the Health Information Privacy Code got me nowhere, and Ajay refused to give the x-rays unless I pay $50. I went somewhere else, and I only needed one filling and one fissure seal. Unfortunately, it seems Capital Dental removed me from their notification mailing list, and I have never gone back. I never received an apology or any other contact. 2021 update: so far, I never needed that 2nd filling in the spot they said.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Steve at Capital Dental on the Terrace for an extraction under IV sedation. I'm a bit of an anxious patient after having had a bad experience in the past, and I'd had a bit of a rough ride trying to this tooth extracted under local previously - and was pretty worried about how this was going to go and it turned out to be completely unfounded. The whole experience was not at all like what you'd expect (no doubt helped by the sedation :D). Everyone was friendly and relaxed, the work was done in half an hour and all the concerns were behind me. Thanks guys, glad to have that over and done with - highly recommended :)

This means you can make informed decisions regarding your dental care. Their communication is excellent and they are accommodating at short notice.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended this clinic after having trouble getting appointments elsewhere in the area. Capital were able to see me that week, despite my case not being urgent. Dentist was prompt and professional. The real star of the show however, is the front office coordinator. So friendly and super welcoming. What a gem. I was having a bit of a tough time at the time and ended up canceling my appointment at the last minute. Of which I feel terrible for and do want to apologise. Lastly I was impressed with how reasonable the prices were. Some clinics I am familiar with are charging nearly double. Thank you for keeping it real. I will be recommending your clinic to everyone one i know.

Fantastic experience: I don't like going to dentist. Full stop!!!!! But when I went to Capital Dental on The Terrace, I was met by two very friendly receptionist which already made me feel at ease. Even so more when I met Melissa :). She listened to all my "complaints" why I don't like coming to the dentist. She was very supportive and explained everything that she was going to do in detail. The same when she did the actual procedure. Felt like a walk in the park :) :)

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service. 10/10 Clifford explained every step of the examination. He was kind and thorough. After the examination he took time to explain all his findings and come up with a plan for future visits. Thankfully for the time being this doesn't involve fillings! This was by far the best experience I have ever had at the dentist and I would recommend Capital Dental to anyone, especially if you are a little anxious about visiting the dentist.

She put me at ease instantly and provided an excellent service with advice about preventative measures and possible future procedures. Great for students as they offer a student discount also.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by Dr Parmar.my dentist to Dr Parmar following an unsuccessful root canal completed a year previously when my regular dentist was overseas. As a result I periodically had painful infections associated with the root canal. When my dentist checked out the root canal she identified a potential problem that needed specialist treatment and referred me immediately to Dr Parmar. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Parmar; his professionalism, efficiency and the time he spent carefully explaining procedures were exemplary. I had 3 separate sessions over several months to remedy my root canal problem; initially getting rid of the infection that checking on progress 6 weeks later and after a following 6 week period installing the new root canal material. Everything has gone smoothly and now I'm pain free. Boyden Evans July 2018

Fantastic experience: Went for a check- up using a treat me voucher recommended by a friend. Theo was friendly, gentle enough and informative. Didn't need any work doing but GA e helpful advice. Subsequently I went to see the hygienist Maria who is most personable, super nice, made me feel very at ease and good humoured - a rarity in dental places if you ask me. She answered all my questions and had lots of advice too (without trying to sell) which is always appreciated & useful. Would recommend these two without hesitation, especially if you're dreading it like I was!

Fantastic experience: It was Labour weekend and I woke up in serious pain and could not sleep so I emailed this practice at approx 3am on Saturday morning by Sunday afternoon I had secured a appointment. So I was impressed by there quick response. They are a very professional team, on arrival the patient is able to enter in their personal details using their laptop located in the waiting room very easy to operator and the questionnaire is very thorough. The cleanliness of the dentist room and new equipment was A+++ and I was well informed, provided with glassware and I was impress when the dentist used a mouth dental dam before any treatment took place. Highly recommendable, thank you :)
