Fantastic experience: The team is lovely and Dr Graham Christie was the absolute best. He is honest and informative. The only dentist I have found to actually care about his patients. Work that would've cost me thousands elsewhere ended up being less than half. Years of my own ignorance was fixed within hours. I would absolutely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I called the receptionist at Whitecross Dental – New Lynn on Tuesday afternoon after work, in a panic. My wife had just snapped her front tooth in half, and she was understandably distressed, both emotionally and physically. While I was practically in a panic, the receptionist remained calm and reassuring, offering an appointment within the hour. In a rush, my wife, our 4-year-old, and I made the journey from North Shore to New Lynn. Dentists closer to us were either closed or fully booked, so we were thankful to find such a quick solution. When we arrived, we walked into the urgent care area, and were kindly directed to the back of the building, where the clinic was clean and well-maintained. We were greeted by the lovely Ms. Shobna Sharma, who immediately began preparing the paperwork for my wife. She was incredibly patient, not only with the forms but with our 4-year-old, who was energetically exploring the space and opening drawers around her desk. Her calm demeanor made me feel at ease, even in such a stressful moment. I appreciated how she handled everything with such kindness and professionalism, which helped reduce the anxiety I had about juggling both my wife’s and child’s needs in a small space. Once the forms were completed, my wife was seen promptly by Dr. Nilesh Govind and Ms. Shobna Raj. Though I didn’t directly witness the treatment, my wife was thrilled with the temporary repair on her front tooth – it made a visible difference and restored her smile. She even mentioned that the procedure was completed much quicker than she expected, much faster than any similar treatments she’d had in the past. For such a traumatic experience, we felt so fortunate to have found Whitecross Dental – New Lynn. The level of care my wife received was remarkable, and she felt so comfortable that we’re already planning for her permanent repair. A quick tip: If you’re bringing kids along, there’s a nice grassy area across from the clinic where they can play with a ball while you’re in your appointment. A big thank you to the team for making this a surprisingly pleasant experience. I really hope the stigma around dental visits continues to fade because this clinic really proves that it doesn’t have to be a stressful experience.

Negative experience: I took my daughter who had an accident there , also she’s special need .from the start the receptionist was not nice , very judgmental in unprofessional way. She even told me to go outside while my daughter was still bleeding just because she was crying. Doctors were nice .

Fantastic experience: I've visited with a terrible toothache and was immediately comforted by a super kind reception staff.Dr Nilesh Govind was an exceptional the kindest and most professional dentist I've ever encountered. He explained well the treatment process and associated expenses and how the sedation would work before hand which completely put me at ease. Many thanks to thr incredible team!

Fantastic experience: I came in Sunday morning with a pretty nasty tooth ache and not being able to eat, chew or drink. Simone was so lovely, took care of me even though she didn’t have to. Even though there was a bit of waiting in between (minimal) Simone offered me some juice and panadol to help with the pain. There was no appointment till 2 that day. But they squeezed me inbetween appointments. Dr Gayatri was so quick honestly didn’t even realise it was going to be that quick. After having a couple of lidocaine shots, I began to feel light headed and like I was going to throw up. I let Simone know and she did everything she could to make sure I felt okay and to prevent me from passing out. The excellent care from her is so refreshing to see in a medical scene. Thank you for seeing me so quickly and looking after me! I appreciate it so much!

Negative experience: I have removed my wisdom tooth from white cross dental New Lyn. I had very bad experience overall . One of the staff in the reception Simon is always very rude and she always don’t want to understand the concerns of the customer.After the treatment, I have experienced severe tooth pain and when we calling to meet the dentist, she was saying to wait for another 1 week to get the appointment .

Fantastic experience: I was in agony on Saturday night so called in desperation on Sunday and was able to get seen the same day. I was terrified due to bad experiences with dental nurses at school as a child but the staff were so calming and reassuring. They were worried about pulling my tooth due to me being on blood thinners and explained clearly several times that if it didn't clot that I would have to go to hospital and I was fine with that. The dental assistant was amazing massaging my jaw during the process. The dentist stopped a couple of times to give me a break but the whole thing was over a lot faster than I thought. I was so relieved when she said it was out. Even better they were $100 cheaper than my normal dentist had quoted. I will definitely be changing dentists!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely lovely staff, all of them. Just returned from an out of town wedding needing to have my wisdom tooth pulled. Staff explained all my options, and although still expensive (naturally) the quote was $300 less than the estimated highest price from elsewhere. Thank you White Cross New Lynn for making the process easy and efficient.

Negative experience: Really poor follow up.Not much fun when you are in pain, and no one bothers to contact you.

Fantastic experience: Great service here. Had an appointment and was seen on time. Nilesh was my dentist. Great service by him. He made me feel calm because I don’t like going to the dentist it scares me but he reassured me that it will allgood and it was. Highly recommend him as ur dentist if you ever need emergency help. Fantastic experience: They were quick and available on a Saturday from a last minute phone call to them that morning. The Dentist, was so helpful, my visit was comfortable and he knew what he was doing. I was quite stressed and he really helped me feel calm even with the bad news. He had to temporarily glue my tooth and told me that it will have to be extracted. Really appreciated the urgent service.

Fantastic experience: No problem obtaining an appointment. In fact was contacted to advise there had been a cancellation and would I like to come earlier. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Dentist listened to my request. Carried out the procedure with care and thought for me as a patient/person. I was provided with clear follow up care instructions and advised should I have any concerns to contact the practice without delay. I'm changing from my current dental practice to White Cross Dental, as I felt I'd been treated more like a patient who was given thought, care and respect. Did not feel like I was treated as a number, but a person. This practice / dentist confirmed he will examine, treat and clean my teeth. Not, cause me further delays and more appointments to be arranged, to see a separate hygienist. This is not a posh Dental Clinic, it's a dental clinic that does exactly what it's intended to do. Look after your teeth, provide you with a range of dental treatments and options and make you feel comfortable and valued as a client. Parking was no issue. Appointments can be arranged at times that suit me.

Negative experience: The worst experience. The dentist Hamid Mohammed took less than 5 minutes to clean my teeth and I was charged $100. When I said to the dentist please be careful because I had braces and have wires glued at the back of my teeth he didn't listen. 5 minutes later I said that was quick and asked for a mirror to check the work to make sure it was done properly given he only spent 5 minutes on it, his response was "no you don't need to check, it's done and there was no mirror". When I got home I checked properly and he had snapped the wire and taken the glue off entirely that was connected to the wire. I called the clinic when I got home the receptionist argued that I got to see the job before I left. I told her no and explained the dentist said I didn't need to check. I could not believe that I had to justify myself when it was the dentist who had stuffed my my teeth up. The receptionist called me back saying the dentist will put the wire back, so I drove back from the city centre for him fix what he ruined and he did a terrible job with that. I was so upset with the job as is and then he ruined my braces wires. He said I can clean it again, but I simply couldn't let him because he is terrible at his job. I told him that the lady that I used to see at this clinic was so good and that is why I came here and she was so gentle and did a fantastic job. Told him that i was always happy with her work. They should have refunded my money as well. NEVER WILL I GO THERE AGAIN!!!

Fantastic experience: Nilesh is the dentist to see if you suffer from dental anxiety. I have recently had 3 teeth removed by him (once under i.v sedation) and he has been, professional, empathetic, with a great sense of humor to boot. Very grateful for his time.

Fantastic experience: Great friendly dentist office with reasonable prices. The young Indian dentist is especially awesome - friendly and very capable. Excellent for low pain dentistry.

Negative experience: This place is terrible. Go somewhere else, especially with there being other options close by. The receptionist is not helpful or friendly. The dentist and assistant are so rude with no bed side manner. Don’t even try to ask a question about what they’re doing to your teeth because it seems to really annoy them.

Negative experience: I called prior and explained I needed a quote, yet the woman tried to insist I pay then and there and I had to explain again. The worst part of my experience is that the woman I saw pulled my arms out from my sides and said "what's wrong with your arms?" I instantly felt uneasy as I have self harm scars, I said "nothing's wrong" yet she pulled both my arms out and inspected my inner elbows and wrists (I originally thought it was for a blood test funnily enough) but after she did that she proceeded to stare into my eyes foe a solid 20 seconds. After this I felt very uneasy as I felt that she was suspecting me of something that she had no reason to. This was not the only issue I had there, just the one that made me the most uncomfortable. Will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My wife has been in a lot of pain for days before she realized that this was from a tooth not her throat. We contacted the New Lynn White cross and got an appointment that same day. The dentist, Nilesh Govind, astonished her with his speed and expertise. It was caused by root canal problems but rather than extraction as you would expect he has removed the nerve and saved the tooth. Bonus points for painless operation. She is hugely grateful.

Negative experience: really had bad experience here. the receptionist is lovely lady, she tried to help me cz i walked in without appointment while i had really bad swollen gum. but the doctor is so rude, she’s not friendly at all, i understand if she’s so pack on schedule that day, but i didn’t ask the front lady if i can squeeze in to the doctor schedule cz thats my mistake to walk in without appointment. so i thought the doctor agree to squeeze me in. but when i met her, she’s rude, blaming me for my choice for not do the wisdom teeth extraction yet and get infection for second times because im currently breastfeeding.

Negative experience: 2019 August I had the woman dentist and she was horrible, always late.. once I waited for over an hour to see her. The next appointment I made was her first one for the day and still she was over half an hour late! When I asked why, she replied that she didn't know when her first appointment was. She then told me she was extracting a tooth but she hadn't told me this before! I refused this as I had already made other appointments for that day and so I had the plate fitting and left. I am not satisfied with what she provided, I have not had the tooth extracted that she said should be extracted and I have not had the follow up clean. She has not been in touch for any follow up probably because I've paid up. Awful experience, do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff, amazing work. I would definitely recommend seeing Dr Nilesh at White Cross Dental New Lynn to anyone that needs work done or even emergency situations. I personally have not been disappointed. He puts his all into the work they do and make you feel super comfortable before, during and after procedures.

Positive experience: Would have been a 5 if they'd provided an aftercare information pamphlet especially after a root canal or any of their services. Done this twice with them now and both times they never gave any. Slipped my mind as all I wanted to do was get back to work and kids etc but felt something was missing and wasn't until the anaesthetics wore off and I was in pain i realised going on day 2 now and worse than yesterday I searched online to find out what I should and should not do. My usual dentist at Green bay always provides this after every appointment without me asking so does my kids school dentist. Other than that Rima was lovely.

Fantastic experience: Great Dental service. Rima Mussina is our family dentist for 8 years now. She has been doing my regular teeth cleaning, filling, and recently just done one tooth crown. I really like how she handles my children also, they absolutely adore visits to the dentist, which is amazing. I had many dentists but never stayed with them more than once, as I am very low pain tolerance, but Rima the only one who can handle my sensitivity and impatience. Rima is the most skillful, caring and careful and a kind dentist I ever had. So for our family, she is a blessing and we will follow her wherever she will work. Thank you Rima for all your hard work and patience for the past 8 years.

Negative experience: I had a an appointment with the lovely Rimma as I had noticed a small black hole in my bottom right molar. She examined my teeth and said I had some bigger issues. The tooth I Came in for had a hole she said could not be repaired and also a cyst in my jaw on a lower left molar which was advised could not be saved unless we had many years to try and a lot of money. Anyway she advised my wisdom teeth were also decayed and gave me a quote to remove 6 teeth at once. I booked in with her for the following Friday but become nervous about the removal and decided to go to a specialised surgeon to remove the wisdom and molars under propofol sedation after advice form my work colleagues at the hospital I work at. After my specialist appointment the surgeon advised me to get a second opinion on the two damaged molars to be removed as he was very worried about removing them and the problems I could incur afterwards and also believed they could be saved. I have just come home today from Kumeu dentist after my final root canal on my molar with a cyst below and a deep filling for the other molar. My cyst has now completely disappeared and all infection removed from my roots. I’m mortified I was going to go ahead with losing my molars when they have successfully been saved. Rimma was super lovely but maybe could of given more options as I have the money to pay for expensive treatment to save them. Losing two molars at once is a big thing especially when you’ve already lost four for orthodontic treatment. So happy I did not go back and get them taken out makes me feel ill to think I would be without them by now if I went with the advice from this dental clinic.

Negative experience: Hi,I had been to the White cross dental at new lynn last year for a root canal.It was done by Dr.Kavendra Naidoo.Within a month I had pain in the same tooth .When I went back to see him,he took an x ray and said that the root canal filling done by him is perfect and the filling is even better than my adjacent tooth filling.He insisted it cannot be from that tooth and must be from some other tooth.I had similar episodes of pain from that tooth later but i could not return as Dr Kavendra Naidoo was not very helpful.Now its gone worse and I am on antibiotics for the same tooth. Could you please look into this matter.

Fantastic experience: Right from the receptionists to Dr Nilesh, it was a very easy, smooth & supportive. In no time, got the appointment, Dr. ran through my option and cost involved, provided workaround, worst case scenario and 3rd party vendor to consultant. Happy with the service, but never wish to come back :) Dental work is a nightmare :)

Negative experience: My husband got a wrong tooth extracted here. She didn't explain why she hadn't removed the broken tooth and when he came back, put a temporary filling without any explanation and charged for that as well. No excuses, nothing. Not mentioning that now we have to go to another place and pay extra $$ to finally remove broken one.

Fantastic experience: The receptionists and Dr nilesh are absolutely fantastic. Nilesh ran me through my options and gave me full quotes for every possible option and left it down to me. He was also incredibly polite, very reassuring and walked me through every possible step that I can expect so despite being nervous I felt like I was in good hands. Now that my work has been finished I’m extremely happy with how it went and I will more Han happily go back and see him.

Negative experience: Very poor service (only 20 mins for a deep cleaning) and the cleaning process was extremely rough , my dad had go to the waitakere hospital emergency department and stayed in the ED for overnight to stop the heavily bleeding from his gum , the doctor from the ED was surprised how bad the bleeding was and suggest my dad change the dentist to elsewhere. I will definitely NOT recommend anyone go to this practice .

Positive experience: it depends what dentist you get. I have met a flustered, moody, impatient woman who wouldn't finish the "check up" I booked in for and wanted to rip out my tooth there and then even after I said that I can't do that now as I need to arrange somebody else to drive me home. I only wanted a check up and information on how all of my teeth were doing. I did have some pain but I wanted a proper diagnoses before jumping right into surgery. she stressed me out! the second time I went I met a much calmer male dentist with a kind soft voice who had another alternative to try as the tooth could have just been sensitive. it was much cheaper and less painful. he helped a lot. thank you to him.

Fantastic experience: Happy with the service and quality-price ratio. Got an appointment the same day in the late afternoon. Plenty of free parking onsite. Been back twice now - for hygiene and fixing my wire. Dr Nilesh is a very good dentist, plus he is friendly as well. I recommend this place as an affordable and no-snobby approach to the clients.

Negative experience: I went in with a chipped front tooth, the dentist offered to shave the other one down to match as first option. I went for a filling which has broken off only two days later.

Positive experience: Been going here for years. Only use the same dentist. Unfortunatly the receptionist dosnt know math. I got a root canal, later broke so i poped in to see ehat was going on and they took $40 off the money i had on account an also put it on winz quote. I said thats double charging but no comprehension of what double charging is. Its happened twice!

Negative experience: Went there because my tooth had a chip in it, turned out it was decayed. Dentist advised that I would need a root canal, however she was very unhelpful and quite negative about the fact that my tooth needed repair. Also, she gave me no information whatsoever about the actual treatment and what would be involved. Nor did she give me any information when I asked her about how this decay could have happened. In the end, I have decided to go to a different clinic because of the above reasons. Quite a negative experience, would not recommend.

Negative experience: Was there today (Sunday 10/10) in the morning and went to leave around10.30am after seeing the doc with a sick toddler in tow..requested for the receptionist to provide us a copy of an original document that they were going to keep on file. Receptionist made it such an uncomfortable moment as you could plainly tell photocopying one sheet of paper was such a big ask apparently. She was really abrupt and rude about it. We understand that everyone has an off day but to be in this job it requires patience and empathy. Not only was it a poor reflection on the medical centre as a whole, but it really made an already tense situation re a sick wee patient worse upon leaving. Otherwise the experience with the doctor, wait time, etc was ok.

Negative experience: Receptionist was so rude ... asked to copy a form that we needed and she was huffing and puffing like it was a big job ... needs to be more understanding and to do her job properly ... if she doesn't like the job then leave SIMPLE ! Other then that everything was fine :)

I had to get my infected (and impacted) wisdom tooth taken out - was nervous as all heck to start with, but it turned out much better than I'd expected. Fantastic experience: Thanks to everyone for the reviews below because without them I wouldn't have gone to the brilliant team at White Cross Dental. I rang to make an appointment an hour before they closed for the next day and they said I could come down if I was available in half an hour. I was told of my options on arrival and I was so grateful because the abscess I HAD was driving me crazy! I was in and out like my painful wisdom tooth in 15mins. I was so pleasantly surprised at the friendly and efficient service I received; I had to write about it. I would thoroughly go back there again. Awesome value for money and yay!I pain free I can finally get a good nights sleep :D
