Have always found Dr Samson Loi very easy to talk to, willing to spend time explaining options and never pushing most expensive ones. I am probably one of his older patients -- just turned 90 -- and keen to hold on to the fragile last of my teeth!

Fantastic experience: My fear of attending my appointment was alleviated by Dental Surgeon, Dr Samson Looi who was professional, non judgemental and approachable. He explained what needed to be done, included me in the decision making process of my treatment, listened to my fear of experiencing pain during the procedure and ensured I received a reasonable amount of local anaesthetic to remain pain free. I highly recommend Smile Dental- AVONDALE and will return for further treatment.

Fantastic experience: I did a lot of research before I chose this clinic. After reading through reviews about Dr Chloe, I decided to go with her based on other people’s experiences. I had a terrible experience with Royal Oak Dental who I believe were careless and negligent. For this reason, I was apprehensive about going for a check up, however, after my experience with Chloe, I will certainly return to her for any further dental issues. She is very skilled, kind, professional and has an excellent bed side manner. As she was very thorough and requested an xray, she showed me a huge infection which was giving me pain and talked me through my options while sharing some good advice. The procedure was very smooth and not at all frightening. Amazing dentist, anyone who is anxious about the dentist should contact her because she is very good and skilled at managing people Experiencing fear and anxiety. Love her

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chloe and her assistants were awesome. I have a couple of procedures needing to be done, and on 19/03/24, I was booked for filling and extraction. Filling procedure went smoothly and my bite was aligned perfectly. Extraction procedure - I felt a little bit of pain and let Dr. know, she then gave me a bit more anesthesia so I wouldn't feel it at all. I was surprised when the procedure was suddenly done as I thought my tooth wasn't being pulled out at all.

Fantastic experience: Dr Samson Loi is an exceptional dentist. He no longer makes dentures nowadays but because of my wonderful experience with him in the past, I requested for him to do mine and he agrees without hesitation. The Avondale receptionist also gives a commendable service. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I booked online and easy to follow instructions and good communication. There is parking available When you walk in the doorway The dental clinic is first door on the right. If you are a new patient go in early to fill out the paperwork. My examination was conducted with ease and no complications and ended up with an extraction with no pain during the process. I was very satisfied with my dental treatment. They accept afterpay as a payment.

Fantastic experience: Dentist was fantastic. Great inter-personal skills. Not at all pushy. I’ve been going there for 5 years now and the service has always been exemplary. Even if I moved across town I’d still make the trip back to Avondale Smile. The Dentist is excellent. 3/11/2022. Went back to see Dr. Samson for some semi-urgent remedial work. He was great. Clear and informative advice made for an easy decision. He really is the best dentist I’ve used and I’ll stay with him as long as I can. Highly recommend Avondale Smile.

Positive experience: I recommend Dr Chloe Oon at the Avondale Branch. Such a lovely and caring lady. I am terrified of Dentists and needed 5 teeth extracted, to get a denture for the top of my mouth. The procedure went well, as my nerves were sorted with a pill, then before injections, gel was administer into the area. Didn't feel injections , nor the pulling of the teeth. It has now taken the fear of Dentists from me. I am returning next week for 2 fillings, then after my extractions have healed, I'll be getting my denture. Well done Dr Oon. Fantastic experience: I had an impacted wisdom tooth extraction done here and both the dentist and her assistant were as gentle as they could be, and did all they could to help me feel not so anxious. This dentist knows how to do winz quotes, I am healing well and I will be coming back to get my other impacted wisdom teeth done here. I also had small fillings done which were quick and easy. Thank you! This branch also does the $40 relief of pain clinic that you can self refer to!

Negative experience: Not happy with the service received today. Went in for a consult on a sensitive tooth and was told a filling can be done. The work on this was begun without actually asking me first, the dentist just launched straight into it. We went ahead with the filling but there was no discussion around the material to be used, I ended up with composite whether I liked it or not. This filling was completed to only then be told AFTER THE FACT I'd be a better candidate for a root canal. So not only have I been charged for a filling, but I now need a second opinion for further work. I could have saved myself $300 and spent it more wisely on getting the job done properly in the first place. Avoid these money hungry shoddy practises.
