Fantastic experience: I visited today for filling of my front tooth. The dentist was very good. He treated me with care and responsibly. He gave me all the best options which are also affordable. I am very happy with the service. I was very scared before that it will give me pain and discomfort, on the opposite side the treatment was painless and quite comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant service from the start. I emailed at 3am with tooth pain, was phoned shortly after 8am and an appointment was available that afternoon. The reception staff put me at ease (I have a fear of dentistry- outside of the bill ). Jesse and his assistant Rodrigo were very professional and did an outstanding job of repairing my tooth. They made me feel safe and respected and it was not at all scary - with no pain or horrible noises. I liked how they talked me through everything they were doing. The bill at the end surprised me as well - in my experience it would have been double elsewhere. Thank you - I will be back!

Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful practice. Always efficient with great pricing, and the care and compassion shown to patients is second to none! Receptionists Karmel and Lee are extremely knowledgeable and reassuring. Hygienist Tori is brilliant. Dr Gordon and award winning assistant Amara have all but cured my chronic dental phobia. Fantastic experience: 2nd wisdom tooth taken out at 2nd ave, didn't feel a thing! Sit back, relax, and let the Gordonator take care of you. 30/05/25 Had another tooth pulled by the Gordonator, injected me up nice and good so once again, fully pain free molar extraction. What a beast, who knew going to the dentist would be this easy. A+++

Fantastic experience: I had to have an emergency extraction done and I am absolutely terrified of going to the dentist. The lovely and friendly receptionist gave me the reassurance that Dr Jaskirat Singh would take great care of me. Dr Singh was amazing, he talked me through the whole procedure and very gently and pain free extracted my tooth. He explained the aftercare to me carefully. Absolutely amazing, would 100% recommend Team Dental to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I’m so grateful the clinic was able to squeeze me into their last time slot on February 10, 2025, to fix a filling that had come loose and fallen out. Since we were traveling, I needed it re-filled quickly, and they made it happen. Dr. Jesse O’Neil took care of me with incredible patience, thoroughness, and a deft touch—no discomfort, no pain. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes, and the charges were very reasonable. Huge thanks to the team!

Fantastic experience: As the former unhappy patient of a fancy pants expensive dental practice, naively I first thought that Team Dental was a budget ER clinic. How wrong I was! During the last 3 years I have been cared for and treated extremely well by EVERYONE at Team Dental. I have witnessed how busy the receptionists are at times, but they always do their best to help their patients. When I needed urgent care, they would call me as soon as an earlier appointment became available. Doctor Aseem, Doctor Gordon and most recently Doctor Jesse have always given me excellent - and what I feel - very competent care. I cannot speak highly enough of all three - and their dental assistants. Special thanks to Jesse who at my last visits had to deal with a complex dental issue of mine. His holistic and professional approach has been outstanding. I was given time to discuss, digest and make an informed decision as to what I felt is the best way forward for me. Jesse is a role-model for dentists. And finally thanks to hygienist Tori for giving me a bright smile (with whatever teeth I have left these days ;-)

Fantastic experience: Had a Root Canal in 2022 and really appreciate all the kind and supportive staff alongside Jesse, I have been intimidated from Dentists in the past and it was refreshing and nice to receive non-judgemental service for not being regular with my dental checks or to get lectured either. You have an awesome team of people that my friend recommended me to, so Im grateful for her referral too!

Negative experience: Friday Yesterday I rang to make an appointment to see Gordon unaware for emergency appointment my gum tissues were inflamed all day painful, bloody reception I was not aware they do emergencies until Michael Van Viet Dentures, Bethlehem called me early morning Saturday talk about my gum tissues bone spurs my dentures weren't fitting properly, Saturday I called for an appointment for Sunday spoke to Receptionist Fiona Saturday emergency dentist was open before 12,30pm when I call to make appointment, she said I had to ring the next day for appointment, I thought this was supposed to be emergency these two receptionist, I could do their jobs way better than them in customer patient, they ask stupid questions, that's not relevant, dodos like emergency dispatchers Luckly my frustration didn't last :)

Fantastic experience: Called up at 1pm Sunday & was lucky to get an appointment the same day. Wife was in major pain. Very helpful staff, gave us options & explained it well. Got tooth extracted, very quick & painless. Thank you

Negative experience: 0 star. They should be reported to the Commerce Commission for false advertising. You Google for emergency dentist and the first one is them popping up. You call them and the answer is "sorry no appointment available". Emergency by appointment? Every single dental clinic makes appointments. So what is the difference? They are located literally in the Accident And Emergency Centre and turn you away when you have an unbearable tooth pain. Thanks for helping.

Fantastic experience: Never had any trouble getting through on the phones, reception staff are friendly and helpful. Have had dental repair work completed with Grace and hygienist appointment with Tori. Both lovely people, very gentle, friendly and professional. Thanks team!

Negative experience: Just felt like a number and felt my concerns were ingored and disregarded. Walked away with more questions than answers and felt pushed out the door with a referral to periodontist from Dr Raja. Today I had an appointment with another dentist who explained my issues and what needs to be done without the need of periodontist. A little confused and disappointed.

Negative experience: RUDE RECEPTIONIST LEE .. 2024 !! she doesn’t make you feel welcome , or care about your issues. All the receptionist do is chit chat and gossip. The dentist/BUTCHER FAIZU RAJA was very unprofessional. He gave injections in the mouth and drilled straight into the tooth and said raise your hand if you can feel it , which the hand was risen and FAIZU gave up straight away and said here’s some antibiotics because your tooth will play up in a month a so - THE ANTIBIOTICS ARE USED FOR STI INFECTIONS that were prescribed.?? The teeth and Mouth was bleeding when I left the dentist and in a lot of pain. He made out that it was the patients issue. And referred somewhere else. Been in pain for two weeks was not prescribed any pain killers to help with the pain. Mouth is extremely infected. Nerve is exposed. Can’t eat. Been to Tauranga hospital and 2nd ave just to get some decent painkillers. Very unprofessional considering how much you charge. Be going elsewhere next time and will be telling people I know to avoid this dentist. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL.

Fantastic experience: My partners had been working in Gisborne with the clean up and was having bad tooth pain for a couple of days now, couldn't get anywhere in Gisborne so drove here. Negative experience: Called to book an emergency appointment. Found the receptionist to be rude and disinterested. The attitude she presented over the phone was really impolite. As first point of customer experience she made me feel uncomfortable so I decided to book elsewhere.

Negative experience: Awful service. I'd been in extreme pain with toothache for 2 days over Christmas, driven an hour to get there as it was the only place open and they told me there was no appointments for 2 days. I'd tried calling before I left and left a voicemail. Really disappointed and still in a lot of pain. I know it's the holidays and I only went because I was in agony or I'd have waited to see my regular dentist.

Fantastic experience: Came to Tauranga on holiday, had extreme dental pain for two nights. Didn't think anyone would see me on a Sunday but they gave me an appointment immediately and sorted the problem. I paid a lot less than I was expecting and the team were wonderful. The dentist explained what they were doing the whole way through and let me know the price beforehand so there were no surprises. The treatment was very professional and the pain has finally gone. If I lived here I would choose team dental every time. Thank you very much.

Negative experience: I had to make an emergency dental appointment here and found the front desk service to be very unwelcoming. As a mum of two young kids who is studying full time and working part time dental costs are not something that is easily attainable or affordable for me however as this was an emergency and I was in an significant amount of pain I had no choice. I found the tone of the conversation completely switch when I asked if they were able to offer winz quotes. The women who was serving me seemed to have no concern at all for me as a client and I felt very rushed and embarrassed when asking if I had to pay the full amount that day even though I had already called prior to the appointment to discuss my situation and need for financial assistance. I ended up paying the full amount because she said that was my only option and am now under huge amount of financial and emotional stress. In the likelihood that the women who served me sees this I’d like to ask you to please have a bit more compassion and understanding for people who visit your clinic because you have no idea of their situation or circumstances.

Fantastic experience: I'm a seriously scared dental patient and had put off getting a broken tooth looked at until it turned to a toothache. Gordon and his nurse (sorry didn't catch her name) were amazing. They were patient with me and I was stoked that the tooth could actually be filled instead of pulled. Highly recommend if you have any hesitation around dental treatment. I will definitely go back for a check up and clean now that I feel so comfortable. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: The best dental experience I have ever had. I am one of many people who have a phobia of the dentist and the team at Team Dental were fantastic. Ollie did an amazing job - he was genuinely kind and understanding, and the procedure was completely pain free! The receptionists were lovely & welcoming. I almost cancelled my appointment due to nerves, but now I am so glad I didn’t. This is where my family and I will be going whenever we need dental work in the future. Thanks guys!!

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed in this practice. Being the only emergency dentist in Tauranga I would expect them to at least be of some kind of assistance when you have broken a temporary crown and the nerves are exposed. After asking if a dentist was available, the receptionist asked what the problem is. I explained to her that I broke my temporary crown and the nerves are exposed. After hearing that I'm getting my crowns done with another dental practice she immediately changed her tune and told me that they can't help me and that my only option would be to call my existing dentist the next day for an appointment. Just too bad my existing dentist's first available appointment is the 21st of December! If you're looking for an emergency dentist and you're not having other work done by them or you're not an existing patient, then don't even bother calling. You'll just have to wait in pain until your regular dentist can help you.

Positive experience: I have an irrational fear of dentists and any procedure involving sharp objects poking around inside my mouth makes me sweat and shake. So I was really unhappy when I was told recently a lower molar couldn't be saved and had to be extracted. I was referred to Gordon (Gordie) and Teressa at Team Dental, 2nd Ave in Tauranga and arrived feeling highly anxious and scared. Although Teressa didn't dress up as a tooth fairy Ill forgive her she was one of the most encouraging and positive dental assistants I've met :) and Gordie an extremely patient and gentle dentist. Overall, and under the circumstances, my experience was very positive due to their collective approach and I felt respected and well supported throughout the procedure. If you are a nervous patient like me, you can feel confident with the care that this highly skilled team will take with you and your teeth.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this dentist. I was not told i had to eat for the pain lozenge to work, and was only told so when the pain started despite telling them i hadnt eaten. On another visit my extraction was put on pause halfway out so the dentist could answer his cell phone. Be warned

Negative experience: Be warned - this emergency dentist has a serious shortcoming in not being able to offer extractions. The pain relief and antibiotic I was offered fell far short of dealing with the problem and left me in considerable pain. I was forced to resort to a different dentist who could not understand the inadequacy I was offered.

Negative experience: My poor sister had a terrible time here. She needed to be seen urgently and after pulling her tooth they sent her away with no prescription for pain killers or antibiotics. Her pain increased so bad over the weekend she was rushed to the Dr who couldn’t believe she was not given any pain relief or antibiotics for the infection she had. The Dr had to call them and demand they see her again urgently to fix what they’d done. On her second visit the Dentist was so rude and nasty to my sister, giving her no pain relief while he harshly fixed what they’d done and then tried to charge her for it after telling her there would be no charge for FIXING THEIR OWN MISTAKE. Horrible dentists, would never recommend to anyone!!!

Negative experience: A&E? Not really. I was in agony over the New Year's holiday and they told me: they closed at 4pm, I need to make an appointment to be seen, they don't have any appointments available! Also rude staff answering the phone/ at reception. Luckily I found another dentist who gave me an appointment immediately (even though he was only in over the holidays for paperwork).

Negative experience: I would not recommend this place especially after a very good friend of mine went through a very traumatising procedure that the dentist/butcher should not have done. The dentist/butcher obviously had no brains and got his certificate from a weetbix box because any qualified dentist would not do the work on the patient that this one did without other treatment first patients rights were breached big time. And my friend had unfair treatment and is now going through a painful time which was unnecessary and uncalled for and they still couldn't complete their treatment which has left my friend very scared and traumatised and afraid to sleep at night. Come on guys up your skill with a caring compassionate continuity

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time at this dental clinic, and it was a great experience. The lady at reception was so nice and helped me alot when it came to making bookings etc. And the dentist I had Mr. Faizu was such a cool dentist, super friendly and did his job fast, I felt no pain and i was sitting comfortably the whole time. Him and his assistant even made me laugh a couple of times. I've definitely found my new favorite dentist and dental clinic. I love the dentist and cant wait for our next appointment. Fantastic experience: Amazing service!! Got an appointment on the day I called. I got my wisdom tooth removed and was very nervous but they made me felt so comfortable and had great sense of humour. Negative experience: Highly unprofessional. I had a temporary filling put in and was told it would hold til the date I would have my crown treatment done, the filling fell out before the date of my crown treatment and then I was refused a re filling. I had to wait over a week to get any answers to move forward with treatments, passed on to superior after superior until I was called by a woman who laughed joked. I have had three treatments in the past with team dental, you would think they would look after returning customers.

Positive experience: Hi I had a broken filling on Saturday, ( i'm really anxious with medical procedures) Team dental got Simon to sort it out on Sunday, 3 days later I had pain problems and went back and seen Simon at Team Dental he did some re adjustments and no charge and now no problems. Team Dental really helped and listened to my needs. Thanks people, great work.

Fantastic experience: Kia ora On entering the reception area I was welcomed with a cheery hello! I had a procedure which involved repairing a fractured filling. I was made to feel at ease, I had everything explained to me, and received very professional service throughout and at a fair price too. I also love the fact that everyone seems happy to be working there and laughter can often be heard. Thank-you to EVERYONE at Team Dental you are highly recommended by me.
