Negative experience: There is only like one carpark in the driveway and it's very tight
We were unable to locate your name in our patient database, which suggests you are reviewing the wrong business. For your reference, our clinic provides 5 free patient parking spaces, including designated disability parking, with easy access via an external lift. A detailed parking map is included in the welcome email sent to all new patients prior to their first appointment and are also in the subsequent appointment reminder emails as well.

Negative experience: Dental check/cleaning itself was fine. However the dentist I saw insisted that another dentist must have done a specific job on my teeth, even when I assured this was not the case. They even wanted to do work to "correct" this issue, even though there was no risk to my teeth as was. I declined. When I first joined I was quoted a certain price. At appointment they asked if there was anything I was concerned about and I mentioned something. Apparently they had to take extra x-rays to comment on that something, and in hindsight, while they did say "and now here's an x-ray on y tooth" it would have been better to have a warning/option rather than find out about the upcharge for extra x-rays upon checking out.

Xray is often required in order for the dentist to make an accurate diagnosis and provide a reliable advise. Negative experience: Had been going there since July and they had not managed to do a simple tooth extraction. I just went to another dentist and they managed to do it in literally less than 10 mins.

Positive experience: I recently had a teeth cleaning at Family Dentist Pakuranga with Dr. Leo Lin. He is very friendly and experienced, and the entire experience was comfortable. My teeth are now bright and white. I highly recommend this clinic and will continue my treatment there in the future.

Negative experience: Very poor advice given to my nana, ended up having 11 tooth removed in order to fit dentures. Poor nana had to go through the ordeal, and then the final denture was ill-fitting. Lack of empathy. Lack of professional support. Not recommend … Note was when Debbie was at the flat bush dental practice. Fortunately we have found a much more reliable and professional dentist elsewhere. No recommend Debbie
Hi Hubert： I left the Flatbush practice 8 years ago so I am uncertain why you would leave this one star review now under a different practice now. I noticed you have also left a one star review at the Flatbush clinic two weeks ago about your nana with this same comment. I am unsure if I have seen your nana because I left the Flatbush practice 8 years ago. Even if I have seen your nana, your nana's denture must be more than 8 years old now. After teeth removal, our bone and gum continue to modify and shrink. Maintenances are required to maintain the denture in an ideal fitting state. I am certain your nana hasn’t seen me for the last at least 8 year as I don’t believe your nana visited me at this practice. But I would be happy to help your nana should she wish to come see me here. Kind Regards
Fantastic experience: This dental clinic is generally very good, the environment is very comfortable, the equipment is very clean, the disinfection and sterilization are done very well, everyone's service is very patient, the doctor is very gentle and considerate, and very professional and will tell you in detail the current problems and how to solve them, and gave me a treatment plan so that I can better understand it. During the treatment, she will always encourage you and ask you to relax so that I am not afraid. I have a very good treatment experience here, which is worth recommending to others.

Positive experience: maybe just for the guy receptionist- a couple of years back, I had dental extraction (post anesthesia ofc) so the way i spoke was a bit funny. I went to him after the procedure to settle my bill but he got irritated with the way i was talking. I couldn't explain properly as there was a cotton inside my mouth to stop the bleeding. I know his face but I forgot his name, could you at least educate yourself on what to expect from your patients after procedures that your clinic offers. I just wanted to go home that time but if my gums wasn't bleeding, I could be rude to you too.

Positive experience: Just a friendly reminder that I rang to book an appointment with your team for my nephew (under 10 years old). As to my understanding it’s advertised on your website that you allow free child dental care (photos attached referencing this info on your website). I phoned to confirm the appointment and was informed that free child care wasn’t available, totally understandable for a private clinic but respectfully this information on your website is misleading. Would recommend removing this from your website if you don’t provide this service.
Dear Jesse, thank you for bringing this up. Our practice is contracted to the Ministry of Health to provide free dentistry to children under 18 years of age. As such, we follow the criteria set out by the Ministry of Health. which are for children under 13 years of age, we can provide free dental care if its an emergency ie pain, swelling, bleeding or when there is a referral letter from the school dental therapist. As I understand your Nephew didn't have any pain, swelling or bleeding and there is no referral letter from the school dental therapist, therefore we weren't able to provide free dental care. I believe my receptionist has advised you to contact the school dental therapist already. if you are able to get a referral letter from the school dental therapist then we will be able to look after your nephew free of charge. If my receptionist misunderstood you and your nephew do have any pain, swelling or bleeding, please contact us immediately and we will be able to see your Nephew free of charge as well. Fantastic experience: I was told by my previous dentist that I have to see the oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth removed as they are badly impacted and it’s really painful. But I don’t have insurance so I have to pay privately and It’s really expensive to see the dental specialist. Then my friend recommended me to this clinic and I had all my wisdom teeth removed today with a really reasonable price which saved me a lot of money. I’m very happy with their customer services and I will recommend this dental clinic to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this dental clinic to everyone!!! I had a root canal treatment done a few years ago and the tooth start hurting. My previous dentist told me this tooth has to be removed as there’s no way to save it. I went to this clinic and had a consultation with Dr. Debbie and had my root canal tooth retreated with a very reasonable price afterwards. Now my tooth is feeling very good. I have recommended this clinic to all my friends and my family as their customer service is amazing and staffs are very professional.

Negative experience: Took my daughter here because she had an infection in her gum an was in visible pain. Was told nothing wrong with her tooth. An everything was fine. Later took my daughter to a different dentist and was told she has an abscess in the same tooth that this dentist told me nothing was wrong with. safe to say other dentist sorted it out promptly. I wouldn’t visit here again for a child.

Treatment was provided to your daughter on the day and I did advise your daughter's aunt to bring her back if the problem does not resolve as we needed to monitor one tooth. As the treatment was done 5 weeks ago and I have not heard back from you I assumed the problem has resolved. There may have been a miscommunication issue. Fantastic experience: Dr Jagdeep Singh at Family Dentist Pakuranga is such a wonderful dentist. She examined my teeth and gum very carefully and very gently. This is important to me, as I am very sensitive to pains. She listened very attentively to my questions; and she explained the treatment options very clearly. Very very professional!! Fantastic experience: Took my mum to see Dr Emma Yang and she was amazing!!! My mum used to be a bit dental phobic and quite reluctant to go to see the dentist. However mum totally changed her perception about dental treatment because Emma is so gentle and caring. She was very thorough when she was doing the check up and so patient when she was explaining things. The overall treatment was very pleasant and totally pain-free. The team was very friendly and supportive too, just that the entrance is a bit hard to find, maybe a bigger sign would help for people come for the first time.

Negative experience: I have been there twice. First dentist have limited experience had hurt my tooth. One year later i visited them in the hope of meeting a good dentist. However Debbie is very rude and order me to proceed actions. If patients feel sensitive and hurt she would speak loudly in front of assistant that assuming the client has problem. Almost like verbal abuse. Charge $90 for X-ray because she is very impatient to explain what resorption means and tell me to check Google if i don't know the word as she can't explain. I won't recommend this dentist to anyone. There are more dentists can do far more better than this.
It is with regret to hear about your experience with both of our dentists. According to your record, our dentist did informed you the OPG x-ray was needed to assess the wisdom teeth, the OPG X-Ray was not taken to explain resorption. Our dentist also offered to you to consider this and can take the OPG X-Ray at a later date. You requested for the OPG X-ray to be taken at the appointment, the cost of the OPG X-ray was quoted prior to it being taken. We are sorry our dentist can speak only limited Chinese and wasn't able to explain Resorption in Chinese to you, that is why she has written this word for you. Our dentist invited you to view the X-Ray together and discussed the treatment required with you including what instruments we will be using and offered to email a copy of your OPG X-ray to you to consider. A copy of your OPG X-Ray was emailed to you on the same day immediately after your dental appointment for your reference and to consider the treatment mentioned. No actual treatment that was discussed was done and we did not offer to make another appointment for you for the treatment discussed, wanting to allow time for you to consider the treatments. I am sorry that you felt you were ordered to proceed actions. According to our record, we still haven't received any payment for the OPG X-Ray and would really appreciate your prompt payment. Once again we are sorry about how you felt as we do strive to provide the best possible care we can. Please do not hesitate to call or email our surgery directly if you require any further clarification or assistance.
Fantastic experience: I have just had the best dental experience with Dr. Debbie Chiu. The last Dentist I went to for work done on the same tooth took about 2 hours, he was extremely rough with me and it was quite a traumatic experience (in fact near the end my body went into shock) and didn't have very good people skills. Dr. Debbie was very friendly, down to earth, explained everything and my options in simple terms, reassured me throughout and gave me a soft toy to squeeze haha. From start to finish was about 40 minutes. Negative experience: Dr. Debbie Chiu was my dentist, I do not recommend this woman. She did a filling my front tooth at the back and now my tooth doesn't line up proPerley and it makes it hard to bite down. She has made me scared to go to the dentist after my last time seeing here. The roof off my mouth was more sore than my original tooth ache. I sure it was caused by here being super rough! She claims she worked with children for 20years but I don't believe her as she makes me feel uncomfortable although Ive never had a problem with any dentist before. She also quoted me an excessive amount my other teeth which I have now discovered she is was trying to charge an extra $400 or so.. edit: after writing this review the staff contacted me saying "I did not tell them of these issues" I definitely did as I wanted my tooth feeling and looking fixed and I was in extreme pain without and pain relief perscribed. After telling these guys that the service was rubbish and that I have booked elsewhere they kept trying to get me in there. LOOK PAKURANGA DENTIST YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ME COME BACK TO YOUR BRANCH. I WOULDN'T RECCOMEND YOU TO MY WORST ENEMY.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Debbie Chiu has been my dentist for many years now and I wouldn't trust any one else!! She is very kind and gentle and always makes sure I'm comfortable. I have never had a bad experience with her and would highly recommend her to anyone. Dr.Debbie is a wonderful person and an excellent dentist. Also lovely staff at Family Dentist Pakuranga.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend to any parents to take their children here. It was the first time my son who has severe Autism enjoyed being at the Dentist, Debbie was very patient and mindful of my child being settled the whole appointment and was efficient and professional. She even took the time to explain and show me how to brush my child teeth that had become infected from grinding his teeth. Thank you Debbie and team.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to see a dentist for years as I had become really fearful of the thought of it. Six months ago, when pain made me face my fears, I met Debbie and she was wonderful. She didn't judge me, but talked me through what she was going to do. Each appointment got easier due to Debbie's caring, friendly and professional manner. Dr Debbie is very genuine and her staff all help make you feel at ease. 5*
