Waiata Shores Dental is located on the first floor of the newly built Waiata Shores Centre in Conifer Grove, Auckland. We are a modern 4-surgery Dental Practice providing Cosmetic, Preventative and Restorative Dentistry. We have deployed state of the art Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) machine, Primescan Intra-oral 3D scanners, Orthopantogram (OPG), Digital Imaging systems & Intra-oral cameras. Our team of experienced dentists can look after all your oral health requirements. We have a small play area to keep your little one’s occupied and engaged when they are in the practice.

Negative experience: Dentist - got offended when I asked if her assistant was qualified. Body shamed me for my size. Assistant and Dentist spoke the same language but could not understand each other when identifying tooth location. Hygienist - insensitive to my pain scale - caused me a lot of pain. Should of learnt from the first appointment, cleaned with a facial massage. I was suckered to go back the second time. high priced - service doesn't match for a private dentist Quality dropped from my first visit a coupleof years back. This visit was my 6 and last. Different hygienist and more respectful dentist back then. Stars are for the receptionist.

Fantastic experience: A very great experience here! From the receptionist (Jackie, I believe was her name) to our dentist Christine and her assistant (Sorry we forgot her name) the very friendly staff, and to the environment/ambience of the place! Even had a TV on the ceiling so as the dentists' are doing cleaning you could watch something to keep us entertained. Overall would recommend this dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: I have been here three times over the last couple of months, first for dental work under IV sedation then most recently for a clean. I can’t recommend the team here highly enough. Both Sophie and Bonnie were brilliant and made the experience much more pleasant , especially for someone with significant dental anxiety. The follow up calls recieved after my procedures was a nice touch too!

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the clinic for a root canal, but unfortunately, it couldn’t be completed due to its complexity as I need to see the Endodontist. Dr. Alison Ingram was exceptionally kind and made me feel comfortable throughout the consultation. Highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous to come here for my teeth clean after having a painfull experience at another dentist. The dentist (I think her name was bonnie) made me feel welcome straight away, she explained things as she went and I felt no pain at all. I had a great experience and will come back here for future cleans.

Negative experience: Came back here to change my original 5 star review. Having seen the treatment plan made for me from here and then getting a second opinion/quote elsewhere, I found I was quoted outrageously over and beyond the work I actually required. Beware, and be prepared to get a second opinion if you use this clinic.

At our clinic, we prioritise patient care and transparency, and we always strive to provide treatment plans that consider both your current dental needs and potential future issues. The treatment plan you received was created based on your request to address all areas of concern, including non-priority treatment lines. While it wasn't necessary to address every issue immediately, our goal was to give you the option to prevent further deterioration and potential future complications. We have tried to reach out to you privately as well on couple of occasions to explain the same. We regret that we didn't have the opportunity to fully discuss and explain our rationale for the treatment plan before you decided to transfer your file. We did attempt to reach out to you, but unfortunately, we weren't able to connect. We completely understand the importance of feeling confident in your care and encourage second opinions to ensure you're comfortable with your treatment plan. We remain committed to providing the highest standard of care to all our patients and would be happy to discuss any concerns you may have if you'd like to reach out to us directly. Fantastic experience: Genuinely the most informative professional dentist I’ve been to, they were very extensive in the way they described everything that would be happening and the prices for the different services. I was told the prices of everything before the services as well as being given valid reasons for different things which I really appreciate with my lack of knowledge in the dentistry field. Fantastic experience: All the anxiety and fear I had built up all went away once I entered the building. I was immediately put at ease by the lovely receptionist and Shujin, the dentist popped her out to reception to male sure I knew I was in good hands. And in good hands I was. The communication and the gentle demeanor was reassuring and having my wisdom tooth extracted never felt so harmless. Definitely recommend Waiata Shores Dental.

All the prices and details for each booking was clear and easy to understand. We booked a consultation as we were not sure on what work was needed and received a detailed plan with some additional advice. So helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

There was no judgement at all instead positive feedback and support to make positive steps moving forward. She made me feel really comfortable within minutes. Negative experience: Not impressed with the reception at this place I phoned in March. I needed some advice and they took a long time to return my phone call. The receptionist seemed rather clueless when I had a few questions and was very abrupt. I felt very upset afterwards. I would not come here based on that experience.
