Negative experience: This dentist is the biggest rip off only care about money and the pain my husband went through just for a clean omg if i was there Dentist was rude an hurrying the process dont go there

Fantastic experience: For me there’s no price on my mother’s health. She was treated with respect from Dr Kanan Rathod. She made my mother feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you for looking after her we definitely rate this place.

Fantastic experience: If i could give more stars i would. I love love my dentist Dr Sravanthi Arroju. I had the best experience with her. She made me feel so comfortable through every procedure (i had a lot of dental work to do) right from my consultation up until my last dental visit, she had helped me over come my fear of the dentist. Through all my dental work i did not feel any pain and she was always clear with communication, when she would start and what she was doing. Really helped me sit through everything without fear. Not only her, but the rest of the staff is very friendly. Always communicating with me about appointments and working around my availability as well as my dentist. The receptionist is so kind and patient with me, even when im upset about something, she always handled the tough situations so well, even when i was abit mean. The warm welcoming i get from them when visiting just makes me love that dentist even more. I’ve referred many friends and family about dental planet mangere. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. I will continue to use their services. Nanix

Fantastic experience: Dr Shwetha Thatipathy, was my dentist, From beginning to end she helped me to ease any anxiety I had, she reassured me because Ive had bad experiences with dentist. She has restored my faith in them. Practice is very organized and clean. Every staff member are very respectful of your wishes but they do inform you properly and make sure you understand everything that's going to take place. Very kind and welcoming. Gave me my smile back and I'm very grateful.

Negative experience: Very expensive, over $700 for a clean and some sealant. I was advised of part of the cost when I asked but they changed this when I went to pay. I contacted the Manukau branch afterwards for their costs and it was over $200 cheaper so I feel I was taken advantage of and ripped off. I emailed to express my concern about the price and how unhappy I was and never received a reply. I have been a loyal customer for years but told when I arrived to fill out a new patient form because they had no history on me then my details like allergies and medications were discussed loudly in reception. Very unprofessional, too expensive and can't be bothered getting back to an unhappy client. Won't be going back again.

Fantastic experience: I'll be 71 this month on the 13th March 25. I've been to a lot of dentists for teeth checking, pain comfort or even pulling a tooth out. Out of all these places I rate the dentist who pull my tooth out the BEST. IT'S AN HONEST FEEDBACK (sorry I don't know the name but she's an Indian lady) She's calm, happy, using lot's of praises and positive reinforcement. When pulling out my tooth, she's very careful and gentle. I experienced very little pain. I'm so grateful for her service and I'll always come back to her for dental services Thank you for your great service. I was lucky to meet you. All the best to you the business ❤️

Negative experience: No care or thought for those that were ligetimetly there for pain this establishment was only concerned about advising me the patient that I could access the $1000 WINZ has to offer as payment for them and we're desperately trying to do a WINZ quote for anything further to happen, not impressed avoid if you are in need of urgent pain relief as you will be only sent away to the emergency department and excuses why they couldn't help, time wasters especially if you're in pain , money driven only

Fantastic experience: My husband sione had an extraction for 2 teeth including a wisdom. And gum treatment and clean. They did an absolute lovely job. He was nervous being his first time but she reassured him made him comfortable and took it out with ease. Highly recommend. Was so easy to book. Defs gonna go here from now on. Negative experience: Went to Mangere Dental planet for a wisdom tooth extraction. My booked appointment was at 8.45am it was then moved the morning of to 9.20am I did not get the xray until 9.50am and pulled the tooth at 10.05am. I was left in excruciating pain. I told the dentist Dr Kanan that I could still feel the pain after being injected with the anesthetic she said wait 5mins. And instead of checking after the 5mins if the injection had worked she just proceeded to pull out my wisdom tooth. I told her I could feel everything and instead of stopping and administering more anesthetic she yanked my jaw and kept trying to extract the tooth. I was in so much pain I bit her finger but that did not stop her from providing pain relief. I strongly believe I was given the most minimal dose of anesthetic. I would never ever return to this dental practice. On top of the disgusting way I was treated I was charged $760 to remove my wisdom tooth. If you pay that price you should expect to have a painless procedure. Paying that price is exorbitant but aside from that the amount of pain I felt during the extraction and now nearly 36hrs later I have not been able to eat. I am in severe pain and I highly suggest people looking for another dentist. In fact go to white suburbs because they will not have dentist practices that operate like a train station pushing patients in and out the revolving door. Maori and Pacific Island people think these white areas are overpriced. To get your tooth extracted at Lumino Dominion Road is less than $300 but i couldnt get an appointment so i settled with this practice. That was a big mistake that i will not repeat. While sitting in the waiting room I heard the staff apologize to the patients waiting because they were running behind yet they were still booking patients in over the phone. Another phone call I heard a patient said he couldn't make the appointment due to work, the receptionist said what about tomorrow he said I can't I'm working they said what Friday what about Saturday we are open Sunday. It just seemed very desperate and I strongly think the practice should concentrate on better patient treatment than trying to have a high turnover to make money. Never ever again would I return here. I would suggest pulling your tooth out with pliers because it will give you the same result as being treated here.

Negative experience: After they got paid 2200 dollar by work n income they declared my case too complicated. When asked for a refund they don’t pay the money back and keep saying: we will do it. Now 5 months later it’s time for a judge to force them to pay me back. The place is unprofessional and steals money from their customers. Don’t go there!

Negative experience: Shocking to discover later that my partner received a cut on her upper lip after the dentist accidentally dropped one of her tools. Then the abrasion on the inner mouth from the drill. Unprofessional service & I am very appalled

Negative experience: The lady at the front desk has made me pay for treatment to which she said they cannot do and then has on numerous occasions made excuses as to why she can’t refund the transaction and blaming it on the dentist etc who have then told me it is not in their hands but hers. The dentist and her assistant were very great and wonderful but the lady at front desk very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Lovely dentist, great assistant, worked well as a team. Really happy with my $149 check-up, x-rays and clean (maybe assisted by the fact I didn’t need any further work done at this stage which was obviously good news to hear)

Fantastic experience: My husband and I would like to say big thanks to all stuff at Smilecare Mangere dental clinic. My son had a treatment at this center yesterday. He is a teenager with special needs. It’s hard to get his corporation to any dental treatment. But thanks all the stuff, they gave extreme patience to my son. Especially Bonnie and another dentist, they spent one and a half hours on helping my son. Thank you so much for your help!

Fantastic experience: I just had my scale and polish with Bonnie. Remember to get the hygiene card off the smilecare website for a cheaper rate. She's so thorough but very gentle at the same time. She kept me in the loop the whole time and was giving me in the mirror to see the before and afters. I will be back again to do my annual clean. Thanks Bonnie.

Fantastic experience: Entrance can be through the door to the left of the unichem pharmacy. I found it to be a bit tricky to spot. After what was a very difficult morning trying to book appointments at other dentists this place was available and after all that, it was so nice to meet some very friendly staff in a welcoming atmosphere. The staff and dentist was very professional and informative and they even had a payment plan which was perfect for our situation. Thank you all for your help I would highly recommend this dental clinic. .

Negative experience: I give one star based on costs! This place is nice and clean. The frontline staff are friendly, the dentists are friendly. The dental assistant I had was a bit wierd and serious but ok! Relaxxxx. This place can be cheap but I found somewhere cheaper like $220 dollars cheaper! This place I went to also offers the same $40 pain relief service. Terms of cost was a huge let down considering you are running out of a community hub.

Fantastic experience: A place which makes you feel welcome once you enter there environment, Very friendly and always making sure that I was on good terms during my session and throughout my time there. I just like to thank my dentist and his assistant for today, for doing what they do best, I felt good knowing I was in good hands and also Making me feel safe etc. Lastly I feel greatful that I got it over and done with smoothly and safe again because of my dentist and his assistant but yeah thanks again. Now I can enjoy my holiday!
