Fantastic experience: Really good service, as a traveller I was worried I wouldn't find anywhere to take me on short notice but they fit me in on the next day! Very good service and my dentist communicated very well on the process and the prices that would come with it. The prices were also very reasonable!

Fantastic experience: Have has the absolute best experiences with Dr lily and Anushka. Extremely professional ladies who treat you with such good care. I came in a few years ago with holes in my teeth top and bottom and they made it their mission to help Me. I got a Winz quote and that same day It had been approved and i was seen to. Really quick and easy. By far the best dental clinic I've ever been too. I can't thank them enough. They know what they are doing. If you want your teeth done right I recommend apex as the best in Auckland. I've been going here for past few years now and will continue to go here as they are amazing. They also do botox, filler which is a huge plus!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Lily was very kind and gentle. She saved my tooth going into root canal treatment. As advertised it is definitely a pain free treatment. Also Anushka is very helpful and supportive to me throughout the experience.

Fantastic experience: At 13 weeks pregnant and in excruciating pain because of a damaged tooth. I desperately called ten clinics who claimed they provided after hours care. Apex Dental were the only ones who answered and saw me about 7pm on a Saturday. Dr Lily was kind and explained the problem and what we could do to fix it. She even made time the next day so I could continue with the procedure. Will definitely use Apex Dental again.

Negative experience: Rude when I called, told me to text her my details because their computer was down, finally texted me later in the evening 3 days later with an appointment I couldn't make, whenever I said days that would work for me just replied "no, nothing" even told me I should go to GrabOne for a refund that I shouldn't be so desperate for a clean and file. Ridiculously poor customer service and highly unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: So happy I chose this dental clinic to coninue my Root Canal Treatment! The dentist is very friendly and gentle with the patient, ensuring all the time that the patient is not experiencing any pain. I was afraid of feeling pain but felt no pain at all to my surprise. Even the injections are painless. As Apex Dental claims, they are really a pain free dental clinic. I highly recommend this dental clinic to anyone who doesn't want to experience any pain at the dental clinic and for their excellent service and care for the patients.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting auckland from wellington and I knocked my two front teeth and smashed them in half, apex dental fitted me in immediately and the service I recieved was so excellent they were very gentle with treatment and had such lovely customer service. I would recommend these guys to anyone. I was so pleased with the treatment I received and they made me look new again until I could see my local. Definitely 5 stars!!

Negative experience: Very poor experience. I purchased a voucher from Grab One for their services promising cleaning and polishing, which turned out to be a total waste of time and money. When my husband visited them, the dentist's focus was on just telling him other issues without providing any of the services mentioned on the voucher. Strongly not recommended.

Fantastic experience: I called Apex dental in tears on Auckland Anniversary Day (a public holiday, and also my birthday) with horrific pain in my tooth, absolutely beside myself that i was going to have it ripped out and I was going to be TOOTHLESS on my birthday. I also have a debilitating fear of the dentist - Dr Lily, the most lovely woman, rushed into the office without an assistant to treat me, managed to save my tooth (!!) as well as stop my pain. She was so comforting and didn't bat an eyelid at this 30-year-old mess shaking like a leaf in her office. I cannot be more grateful, I didn't feel judged or persecuted as I often do by most dental professionals. Will continue my treatment through Dr Lily! Thank you!

Positive experience: To be honest, I wasn’t happy with the result. The procedure took 15 minutes while it normally takes about an hour and it felt very rushed. Won’t be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I've had a root canal and numerous tooth cleanings here. Dr.Lily provided excellent care, and Anushka made a great advice. If you have an issue with your teeth, I would highly suggest this clinic.

Negative experience: I was scammed into getting a root canal done here by Lily in 2017 and now I have to get that tooth pulled out because it was so poorly done. I'd highly recommend finding a more trustworthy dentist. They ruined my teeth, even made a hole in the tooth next to the root canal to get me back in for a filling. I was so traumatised I didn't return.

Negative experience: Pathetic don't go here for a service they charge u different prices each time even though u have their quatations.

Fantastic experience: I have been at this place 2 times now for different reasons and both times had an overwhelmingly positive experience. Dr. Lily and Anushka are warm, welcoming and very professional. Both of my dental procedures went extremely smooth with no pain throughout.

Negative experience: Really bad experience worst bedside manner and I was told I had so many things wrong with my teeth! Luckily I went to another dentist two days later and had nothing wrong.. would not recommend.

Negative experience: Debilitating disabled 2months over Chrismtas into New Year, overdosing on painkillers (that have continued with chronic ill believe this exacerbated) with ceramic filling over abcess! filling fell out 8 months later, went back & was demanded whole price (double original cost) for root canal was supposed to get in the first place. Am giving 1 star only for the attempts at civility of Receptionists (2-3 in the 3 years have dealt with org) - as, as for the pleasantness & smiles, like any would anyone that's taking 4-8 times the cost of an extraction ($40 at the Adult Pain Clinics). Contacted recently to get copies of xrays, treatment & other images taken (to send to the Dentist - migrated to convict land) that did pay dearly for - they sent the 'initial examination' details, you know - the list of work to be done' with no record of treatment visits at all - 2 with work done. Negative experience: 2 issues from my wisdom tooth consultation experience, 1) Price quotation discrepancy, quoted 250-500 NZD with 500NZd being the most complex procedure ... drilling into my jaw. Yet, when I went there I was going to be charged 520NZD for a simple wisdom tooth extraction. 2) The X-ray was invasive and hurt my sore tooth and tender gums. Plus the X-ray was incomplete, only scan one side of the jaw rather than the whole mouth. (My fren was able to X-ray his entire mouth/jaw without experiencing pain. 3) Pushy dentist, insisting that I needed to get it extracted rather than allowing me to decide my options. Bias consultation and constantly pushing for their service

Fantastic experience: Hello! Dr Lily and Anushka were amazing in fixing my iron stains. They further went on to include fillers as they identified gaps in my teeth. I left the clinic with perfection and really appreciate the amazing service and advice rendered to me.

Fantastic experience: Lily and Anushka were both extremely helpful when I broke a tooth on the weekend during a trip to Auckland. Lily is an excellent dentist and I would change dentists to see her, unfortunately it’s a long way from Australia. They saw me on a Sunday, highly recommended. Anushka managed to book me in promptly even when my phone died mid conversation !!

Fantastic experience: Had a same-day wisdom tooth extraction due to a painful gum infection. I was impressed by how efficiently and pain-free the offending tooth was removed! Very happy as the dentist and assistant both answered my many questions and worries and kept me well informed.

Negative experience: friendly receptionist lady who made me feel better about the process i was nervous since i dislike going to the dentist... i had a Grabone deal for a clean and polish. disappointed with the dentist she wasn't friendly hardly talked to me and since i had wisdom tooth pain she asked to take it out before even looking at the situation. i ended up going somewhere else to extract my tooth, the denist lady told me that i needed the bottom tooth out even though it wasn't hurting? i was told by the other dentist who i saw that it can't be extracted by a regular dentist it would have to be done by a specialist & if its not giving you issues don't bother. Thankful to go somewhere else .... sorry!

I found the quality of work and the customer service at Apex to be superb - all staff went out of their way to make sure any issues I had were dealt with immediately. Fantastic experience: We have been going to Apex Dental for several years.We now live near Cambridge and have tried dentists nearer to where we live, but have not been too happy with the service so now we are back with Apex. We find Lily excellent. She explains what she is going to do, gives us a price and is gentle and careful with her treatment. We would rather travel to her and have confidence knowing she will do a great job.

Fantastic experience: Whenever i have an appointment, I'm always greeted with a friendly smile, service is wonderful! Dr. Lily and her team are also caring and supportive during surgeries. I would totally recommend Apex Dental if you're looking for a great dentist

Negative experience: Awful. I went in for a cleaning through a deal on groupon, and now I know why they have to resort to this to get customers. They found a cavity, so I went in a few weeks later to get them filled. On my second trip, they 'found' a cavity in the same place. After cleaning, my gums were bruised a dark black colour that took about two days to heal. The lady who cleaned my teeth a second second time also wore a felt and sequin dinner dress in the room. She was extremely rude and even made me wait 15 minutes to start because she was having a conversation with the receptionist about what she had for lunch. There's more, but honestly, just avoid this place at all costs. If you get a deal through groupon, but spend a little extra money and go somewhere else that isn't going to try to scam you out of more money and give you what you actually pay for.

Positive experience: Update: After leaving this review, I received excellent follow up and apology for a disappointing experience from Apex Dental. Star rating increased to 3. I agree with most of the other 1 or 2 star reviews. The main female dentist had a terrible bedside manner - considering most people (including me) are quite nervous when visiting a dentist office, this was not good! The receptionist/dental hygienist was very friendly - I wish that she was the main dentist! Canceled my second appointment and went elsewhere for friendlier service.

Negative experience: The only thing about my experience that was a positive was the wonderful, friendly, and helpful receptionist. I was traveling and needed to be seen about a complication due to a prior surgery. The dentist immediately ordered an X-ray before understanding the issue and was stingy with the materials used. She was incredibly impatient with my questions and got irritable when I asked for explanations. I like to go to dentists and doctors that take the time to explain the procedures and answer your questions, but she was the furthest from patient. She was rude when speaking to me and made me feel like a child when I didn't understand. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a dentist.

Negative experience: Went for a root canal, two broken files have been left in there which I wasn't informed off. Another dentist picked it up in an X-ray.. I now have to have surgery after 4 root canals to bypass the files...NIGHTMARE come true!

Fantastic experience: I had the drill free, needle free and pain free icon treatment at Apex Dental it was clearly explained to me as a procedure that is achievable as long as decay is in its early stages. I had 2 icon treatments for 2 teeth but still needed one composite filling due to the depth of decay. I'm really happy 2 out of 3 didn't need to be drilled I don't know about Pickled Pork but I'm a half glass full kind of girl. Thank you Apex, We'll done!

Fantastic experience: I bought a voucher from Groupon for teeth cleaning and polish. I ended up getting 2 fillings in my teeth. The dentist (a Russian lady) gave me great advice and it was absolutely pain free. The best dentist I have ever been too. I will return to redo all the teeth that my previous dentist messed up. Negative experience: I went here for a wisdom tooth extraction. The whole experience was horrendous. The female dentist didn' t realise the extraction was beyond what she was capable of and kept topping up with injections which made no difference to the terrible pain I was experiencing. This went on for four and a half hours (no exaggeration). The result was a a small piece of tooth broken off, still most of the tooth still in my mouth, and shocking pain for many days afterwards. Advice I have since received from dental professionals is that the procedure should have been abandoned after 10 minutes. I have since had the tooth extracted painlesslý.

Fantastic experience: Having arrived in Auckland from the UK, I broke my front bridge of four teeth. Being a Holiday in New Zealand, the hotel tried to contact many dentists, eventually securing an appointment that evening with Apex. We arrived at 6.00 pm and met Lily who thought she was just going to have to reattach the bridge only to be confronted with broken teeth. She arranged for us to go back at 8.00 pm when she would be able to get a dental nurse to assist her in doing two root canal fillings, build up posts for the bridge and then reattach it. However, three and a half hour later, she had to give up trying to do the root canal work on one of the teeth. She said she had never had that problem before! She suggested I came back the next day (Saturday). She advised that, if she could get her technician to come in, I should have the teeth removed and a partial dental plate made and fitted. The next morning, I was back in the chair at 11.00 am having impressions made by Vadim. Lily said she would call me later that day to arrange to have the fitting. As I was due to board a cruise ship the next day, I was a little worried that the plate would not be ready but at 6.40 pm that evening, I was back with Lily having the teeth removed and the plate fitted. I must say Lily's care of me was exceptional, the plate was perfect and I have had no trouble since. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough for their overall concern for my well being and for their professionalism. Without them, my six week cruise holiday in New Zealand and Australia would have been ruined. My grateful thanks to all concerned.

Fantastic experience: I usually freak out everytime I visited the Dentist's. However, my experience at Apex Dental was very special. The receptionists and the Dentist (Lily) were exceptionally pleasant. They are kind, understanding, considerate, and very informative when explaining about my case. Only necessary treatments were recommended. The dentist was amazing (perhaps the best I have ever seen). She constantly asked if it hurt to ensure that I felt comfortable. (e.g., when I just slightly moved my feet, she asked if everything was ok). She was very gentle and caring. She explained thoroughly what she was doing and was going to do. I had a severe pain the night before. It was so painful that I could hardly sleep, but Lily made the whole process pain-free and I felt great after the treatment.

Fantastic experience: Reading other reviews I wonder if the negative ones suffer from a case of mistaken identity? Having been a Apex last year and again this year I am astonished to read the word 'drill' as it is a very last resort for them. Instead they use the latest Ozone (and some other) techniques which fixed my cavity (I already knew it was there from my previous, drill keen, dentist). The x-rays of my last visit, clearly explained by the dentist, show how wonderful the tooth repair has succeeded compared to a horrid huge filling (drill) from my previous dentist which has left a weak spot. Apex's method of not drilling is better for your teeth, quick and painless. It is only natural to mistrust dentists (a BBC program some years ago showed that most London based dentist could not be trusted) and a second opinion in case of doubt is not a bad idea. However, Apex has been able to, due to their clear explanations, calm manners and professionalism, make me relax and feel that my teeth are in good hands and no work will be carried out without the absolute need and my explicit approval.

Negative experience: It started out fine, they got back to me within a day of my email to them and were friendly when I arrived but then I was told I needed multiple fillings which seemed strange as I have never had to have any before and have regular check ups. Then I figured they're the dentist and I can't blame them for my teeth getting cavities but then other things started to happen that seemed a little odd, for instance I was told to lie on a form saying I had a broken filling (I don't even have any fillings so that's impossible to be true) and the x-rays were tiny so I couldn't see them. Also the laser thing that was used to check for decay seemed like it was unnecessary. I figure that a dentist should know when there's decay and not need a device. And they also seemed unaware of things that a dental practice should know. And I read a review on here about someone being told that they were told they had to get teeth drilled that were actually perfectly healthy. So I went for a second opinion the next day at a place my brother has been to before (and that is more well known) and as soon as the other dentist looked at my teeth she said I had nice teeth and couldn't see how I would need that many fillings and the dental nurse agreed. She took an x-ray just to make sure and found that I didn't need any fillings at all and said that maybe I misunderstood what the other dentist had told me ad that she was actually talking about the fissure sealants as I have quite deep grooves in my teeth but explained that those sealants are only usually done on younger peoples teeth because if they aren't getting cavities by now then its highly unlikely that they will ever get any. I am 100% certain that I was told I needed at least 2 fillings because the price of the metal ones and the composite (white) ones was told to me and she was going to do 2 of the fillings that day! I'm so glad I went and got my second opinion (which I trust way more as I could actually see the x-ray and there was the dental nurse there too rather then just the dentist and I know someone that has been there before), I can't believe that I was that close to getting that many fillings done on perfectly healthy teeth. The only explanation that the dentist (the one I got the second opinion from) could think of was that one of my teeth could get a filling as a preventive measure but that it wasn't necessary so long as I kept brushing my teeth twice a day. As I was leaving she even said to keep up the good work. Two very different experiences, the one at Apex Dental being pretty terrible.

I work in the City so was just walking distance from my office, I was very impressed with the professional service I received & was very gentle. In and out over my lunch break with nice clean teeth. Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Apex Dental enough to going to a lot of trouble to find some old dental records and being so helpful. They kept in touch continually during the process and then made sure we had received the information by post with no extra cost involved. They really went the extra mile. It was so appreciated.
