Fantastic experience: Clean and inviting premises. The staff were very helpful. They went over and above in ensuring my needs were met. I definitely would come back here again. I traveled 2 hours to get to and from the dentist each way. I love the fact that they have ZIP.

Fantastic experience: I am genuinely nervous visiting any dental practise, however, the procedure (tooth extraction) was completely painless and the dentist was very reassuring. Service was excellent, fully recommend as a local dentist.

Fantastic experience: I went to Takanini Dental Care two weeks ago for first time and found head dentist straight up and just tells you how it is with no sugar coating and does what he says he's going to do with no extra bulls..t and no added price hikes not like my last Dentist so try them out and i just love that numbing gel before the needle so try them and bookings are fast if urgent. Positive experience: 4/5 not for the actual dental medical team they’re lovely 100 percent recommend them. The dentist is very concise lovely and accomodating my father came in for treatment w very little English, the dentist spoke very little medical jargon and broke it down for my dad which I appreciated his attempt! Very informative and cost wise cheap compared to other dentists! The only reason I put a 4 is because of admin. Although very lovely, there’s been three instances where she has called to bring my dad in ON THE DAY. I work full time also in the medical field so I need a little more notice however I’d just appreciate it if she could schedule in a timely manner as not everyone can drop what they’re doing in the middle of the day. We received three calls for three different times asking if we could bring my dad in within the day or even within the next few hours! I said no as im working I need a little more of a heads up as i work full time only for her to do it again. Then when I say what about the next day I can bring him in she says no sorry we can’t do until next week which is ironic to say the least lol. This isn’t a big thing it’s just a small issue however it delays client care yet highly preventable w a little heads up. Other than that the team is lovely and most importantly my dad is a happy chap every time he sees our dentist as he’s very friendly it’s always a pleasure visiting!

When we receive the lab work from the lab , the protocol is to call the patient to be seen .If an appointment is available on the day of our call , we offer that appointment to the patient. Some patients come on the same day and some book an appointment later. There is absolutely no obligation for the patient to come on the same day. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Dr Imam enough!! I got my wisdom tooth removed by Dr Imam and I was extremely nervous beforehand, but he and his team were so supportive and made me feel at ease. The procedure also went very well- I didn’t feel a thing and it was so fast. Genuinely so grateful for Takanini Dental Clinic for making my wisdom tooth removal such a breeze! HIGHLY RECOMMEND⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Positive experience: Great communication and great customer service. The dentist was pleasant to deal with. However my filling colour is darker than my the rest of my teeth including previous filling. This makes me a lot more self conscious.

Fantastic experience: Got teeth extractions and fillings here. I am autistic and have a lot of anxiety, which they knew, and explained everything very thoroughly to me and talked me through the step-by-step. Made me feel very safe and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and kind. Much cheaper than other dentists I have visited.

I had seen Dr Hassan a few years ago when needing an emergency extraction as my usual dentist was closed over the weekend and the rest is history. Fantastic experience: Really great dentist. They have seen me twice now on very short notice and helped me. Once with an infection which they fixed and cleaned immediately from walking in off the street. Second time when a Cap fell off and they booked me the same day and fixed it. Had a filling and a scale and polish today and my teeth never looked so good. Always friendly and transparent about the work required and the cost etc. Highly recommended.

And am not disappointed, dentist doesn’t a great job everytime I can always can get booked in and if not they try their best to fit me in if there is a cancellation. Fantastic experience: Went in for a tooth extraction that turned out to be alot harder than anticipated!! I felt completely taken care of - I was constantly checked if I was ok, and we got there in the end. I was given detailed information about my choices available and after care. Negative experience: Bad experience with the reception lady. My son had gotten a chin injury and a split tooth but they refused to see him as they were busy with other patients. No empathy for an injured child, just business. I will never step here again and never recommend this place to anyone.
Hi Amit It is sad to see that you gave us a negative review by fabricating the incidence. The reception lady was fully empathetic as a child was involved in the accident, had a quick look at your son's mouth, inform you that we are fully booked and very busy, asked you to wait, went inside and talked to the dentist, dentist told her to tell you to wait and he will see you son as soon as possible between patients. The receptionist told you that but you demanded your son to be seen right away. The dentist was in the middle of treating a patient. From the initial observation by the receptionist, your son had a cut on the chin which was already plastered by the doctor and had a crack in a tooth which needed to be seen by a dentist. We clearly mentioned you that your son will be seen but there will a bit of wait. So you are purely lying mentioning that we refused to see your son. You are blaming someone else for your impatience. We live in a world where placing a review is very simple and some people are mis using the opportunity unfortunately. But fortunately, most people are sensible enough to not to blame others for their own lackings.
Fantastic experience: Seven years ago I was terrified of dentists. I advised Dr. Hasan of this and at my first appointment Dr. Hasan and his assistant were so gentle and lovely to me! I have never been to another dentist that makes me feel so calm and comfortable when I'm completely freaking out. Thank you so much again for last weeks appointment! I cried the whole way driving home because I was so happy at how I can smile confidently again. THANK YOU!

Negative experience: Receptionist is so rude and racist will never recommend this place to anyone!!! Horrible. Avoid if you can.
Following the phone conversation this morning and your review, we would like to explain what exactly happened. You called and made a booking at 11:45 am on Monday .You failed to show up for that appointment. You received a text reminder about your appointment time, you didn't respond and just failed to show up.You called later and the receptionist booked you today at 12:30 pm .The clinic policy is that if any new patient fails to show up , no further appointment is offered. We offered you a second appointment out of sympathy that you have been suffering from bad tooth ache. You called at 11: 25 am today to cancel your appointment. The dentist wasted another 45 minutes of his valuable time on a very busy day and total time wasted was 90 minutes .According to the clinic policy the receptionist couldn't offer you any further appointment. We needed to make a strict cancellation policy as some people do not appreciate the value of our time. We wish you good luck finding a dentist soon .
Fantastic experience: Amazing. Just had my wisdom pulled. I had left mine for way too long and it was so broken with a huge hole I though it would end up coming out in pieces but Dr Aisha managed to get it out in one piece. Quick, easy and painless I was surprised when she said it was all done. Thank you so much!!! Further, I gave them such short notice and they were still able to get me in the following day! I'd been calling all around the whole day prior and they were the first to come back with the right questions and a "we can help" kind of attitude! Amazing staff and clean fatalities. Fantastic experience: I am so relieved I chose to get my tooth extraction due to an abcess here. I am terrified of dentists but was made to feel relaxed, calm and unjudged. Extraction was pain-free and dentist, assistant and receptionist were all lovely and friendly. Exactly what I needed to encourage more dental visits! They even didn't charge me for first consultation made a couple days previous. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Worst dentist I ever had to deal with. Made up a bunch of LIES to say how my community services card might not cover an EMERGENCY tooth extraction. I will take my pain meds until tomorrow and go to Pacific dental in Manurewa who have given me no problems in the past!

Negative experience: Visited this place second time and also last time! Both time the owner did my teeth. Being new to the area, I was searching for a new dentist and soon became disappointed with my decision here. Place is very overprice (try to rip me off) and owner is certainly money hungry. First visit was for a deep clean for a top jaw only - $230 for 20 mins work (10 mins xray + paperwork). 5 days after the visit, my gum was still bleeding heavily (literally like a vampire and I tried to avoid smiling at all cost as it scared people off - sounds funny now but it was scary!). Leading to day 6 - 7, it started healing when I was so concerned and was about to arrange a further check up. Almost a year after this experience, I give it another go, hoping it will be a better experience this time. Rang their number, asked for the normal scale + polished without Xray and advised between $160-$180. Total time there was 30 mins: 15 mins work +10 mins wait + 5 mins break. To my surprise, the bill was $200 (owner did not inform me pricing prior the work). When telling them that I am not happy with the price, I was advised it is their normal price. Told them not any other places I have been charged me that much for just the scale and polish (I paid $180 in the CBD, $160 in Mt Wellington incl Xray and exam), the owner then said $200 usually incl the exam too but mine didnt need to and it took longer to clean my teeth ??! At least my gum only bleeding a wee bit now. Thank you and good bye!

I am sorry that you were quite disappointed with the price.You asked the reception for a regular hygiene cleaning and you were given price accordingly, but you informed me that your main concern was the blackish appearance of the gum which was caused under the gum black tarter. So I needed to a through cleaning and removed all the black tarter and you mentioned at the end of the appointment that you were happy with the result. Had I charged you 180.00 instead of $200.00, then I suppose you did not have to take the pain to write such a lengthy review. You mentioned that after the last deep cleaning your gum bled for a week which is very uncommon. I gave a prescription for some medicine this time to control any excessive bleeding should that happen again. At Takanini Dental Care ,we always try to provide high quality honest dental care for our clients at a reasonable price. Price wise, we are at the mid range. As you are not happy with the price of your cleaning , I am happy to charge you the basic price of 160.00 for cleaning, although the cleaning in your case was more than just basic hygiene cleaning. If you could email your bank account details then we are happy to refund $40.00.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Hasan did an amazing job for my gum treatment. Highly recommended.
Negative experience: Advertise as a 7 day business. Advertise open till 5 on a Sunday. Arrive at 2.10 to be told by a rude nurse that the dentist went home and no she didn't know anywhere else I could get treatment. No help at all.
