Negative experience: I was in pain for almost a week, roof of my mouth swollen, severe pain in my gums, my teeth and my temples. Before to call Lumino Frankton, I went to see several doctors in that week who put me on antibiotics, then antivirals. Because the pain was still there, I went to see a 3 rd doctor who said it was not bacterial or viral and I should go the emergency dentist. Called Lumino, got an appointment on the day, then called me back and told me they couldn’t see me as I am on antiviral and « it was viral » so the dentist doesn’t want to see me. I said that I was misdiagnosed as the lab test came back and it was negative, so it was not viral nor bacterial. The receptionist got very rude and short, telling me they couldn’t do anything for me (even they were emergency dentist), I asked what I could do because I was in so much pain and I needed to see a specialist, she just said they couldn’t see me and hung up on me. Very professional, won’t come back

Fantastic experience: Hello! My case in Lumino was a little particular, I have little English management and a trauma that mentally generates a lot of stress when going to the dentist. They made me extract a tooth. From the secretary, to the dentist who attended me, an Argentina called Lia, they were super packaged and kind to treat both the problem and my emotions. In Human Quality and Professionalism I give you 10 stars if I could. Thank you very much.

Positive experience: The service was good. I said I had a crack in my tooth and the doctor ended up polishing my tooth with a machine, but which didn't seem to help, my tooth didn't feel as good as it did before the polishing. The charge is $199. a bit expensive for me.

Fantastic experience: Great service every single visit. The staff are always kind, helpful and friendly. When i've had issues they've always been thorough with investigating and putting a plan into place. Couldn't rate this clinic highly enough! :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with this dental clinic for about a decade, initially because I met one of them at my work and she was lovely. She left a year or so ago and I got a new dentist here who is equally great! They have very kind and patient reception staff and great communication. I had an ACC tooth injury and they sorted out all the claiming and I didn’t have to pay until the ACC bill came through much later after they took care of my tooth and all the specialist referrals were done. Also the last hygienist I saw was super lovely and possibly the most positive hygienist experience I’ve ever had in my life !

Negative experience: I arrived 10 minutes early for my hygienist appointment, was taken in 10 minutes after my appointment time, and was out in half an hour $198.00 poorer Not a bad hourly rate for poor time keeping!

Fantastic experience: All but praise to this wonderful dentist. I want to thank you all once more, you have now helped me on 2 unfortunate occasions, where my tooth has snapped off and I was need of emergency dentistry. On BOTH of these occasions, I was seen on the day i called without hesitiation. I have been met with complete proffesionalism, yet somehow they find a way to be incredibly friendly, polite and warm. It's a rare thing to find, and yet you do it so well. The reception lady's are all absolutely wonderful, they love to make you feel calm and welcomed as soon as you arrive and assist in everyway possible. As for the dentists, they are gentle, proffesional and fantastic at their practise. Going above and beyond to treat you with care and attention. Youll find everything and more in a Dentist at this clinic, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have any work needed on your teeth. :-)

Fantastic experience: Was in Queenstown on holiday. Developed an annoying gum infection due to ongoing wisdom teeth issues. Made an appointment for a few days later, this was cancelled the day before due to the dentist being unwell but very fortunately they managed to get me in almost immediately the day before my original appointment anyway! The fact they were able to do that was amazing and very appreciated as I’d been quite sore for a few days now. I was given antibiotics and it’s healed up just fine now. cant thank you guys enough! Would recommend to anyone in the area!

Fantastic experience: Was here today, felt like I had to leave a review. I am a tourist here in NZ, and my permanent retainer broke during my. Stay at Queenstown, on a public holiday. Because of the public holiday there was no one in reception to answer my phone, and since I was close by I decided to go and see if there is someone there that could help me. Luckily, when I came in I found Dr. Judy Sim, who was there off hours waiting for a different patient that needed SOS help. she immediately let me in, offered to help, fixed my problem in no time, and did not even charge me. Thank you Dr. Judy, you Saved my holiday!

Fantastic experience: Holly and the team are absolute magicians. I broke my front two (top) teeth, they had root canals and needed crowns. Frankton Dental used computer modelling software to map my bite, build crowns that not only replace my current teeth, but improve my bite. She made small corrections to the teeth either side of my front two. Their hygienist made everything pearly white, and I'm proud to smile again. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I've had issues with one wisdom tooth for the past year and have had to visit Lumino a few times over that period when it was infected. Every single member of staff I've dealt with since then have been so warming and empathetic. I finally got it taken out by Ross with help from his wife and they made me feel so at ease and not at all worried about the extraction. He did it with ease and made me feel completely comfortable! The team here make going to the dentist a pleasure (well, as much as it could be). Thank you again team!

Fantastic experience: That was one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. Amazing staff and great communication. They have an appointment reminders by SMS and Southern Cross Insurance easy claim which is useful. I do strongly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I’m Korean who had a wonderful emergency treatment there. Last summer I was travelling South Island and I got severe toothache. I visited 2 dentists and one said I needed root canal which would take 4weeks and the other dentist didn’t even figure out which tooth was problem. One Saturday night, I couldn’t hold it with painkiller anymore and just called several dentists and left some message and one dentist from here called and said she could help. It was Sunday next day and she did superb job. She said it was for temporal but when I visited a dentist back in Korea, my dentist said it looked so fine and I could use it as long as there’s no pain. It’s more than half a year passed and I just wanted to thank you again.

Fantastic experience: The Frankton Dental Clinic is a fantastic clinic to go to too get any dentistry done. I had a general check-up (years over due) and a filling. You are first greeted by the lovely receptionist/office manager who was smiley and helpful. I then saw Angela (dentist) who made me feel at ease the moment I walked into her room. She was friendly and chatty (not over chatty). She kept me informed me of everything that was going to be done throughout the consultation, which personally made me relax more. The over all experience was excellent and I would have no hesitation of recommending this clinic to people.
