Negative experience: Absolutely the worst dentist and denture establishment In Auckland. I needed extensive work and a denture so i took my time and went to a few dentist for a quotation when I came upon Lumino. I was Meet by Ertan the head dentist at his New Lynn branch. He was pleasant at first quick to show of his teeth and smile and the initial meeting was great. He basicly sold me a dream and promised me the best service, so I was sold after that meeting I was really excited and happy to go with Lumino. Ertan promised me a hassle free painless service a smile that I would be proud of and the ability to eat anything. Eating was important to me because at this point my teeth were bad that I found it hard to eat anything properly. What a complete lie! It took nearly 12 months to get a denture that I could finally wear without it falling out or breaking. Imagine going out for dinner with friends and someone you are trying to impress and half way through dinner the composite on the denture (yes they put composite on their dentures) breaks leaving me with a huge gap in my teeth I was completely mortified embarrassed. Not only that, when I went back to Lumino for yet another repair I was made to feel like it was my fault. I went back and forth to Lumino a total of 9 times for composite failure and sores on my gums. Just Be aware that Ertan will promise you everything and not deliver. As for the denture, Rana is not a good denture technician lacks experience and expertise he likes to touch you when he explains why it's not working I had to ask him to stop. He will blame your gums and the way your teeth are as to why it doesn't fit and both Rana and Ertan will blame it on the type of bite you have the way your gums have healed etc everything but take responsibility themselves. Yes they did refund denture only but seriously how can they justify charging me for something that is inadequate and just doesn't work 11 months is a very long time to be going back and forth after the 4th denture and attempt we finally got something that worked and still not properly. As the appointments became more frequent Ertan became slightly aggressive when working on me he was no longer gentle he was increasingly rough and rude. I don't normally do reviews but this is a matter of public safety and awareness. My experience with Ertan and Rana was dreadful the most stressful and mentally draining time I had this year. Please choose where you get your dentistry done and denture/s from carefully research on the many establishments we have here in Auckland and read the reviews. I do not want anyone to go through what i did and I warn everyone away from this place. The fact that you said Ertan did free work is absolutely preposterous. If you accept a repair job and the repair fails you are required to fix it at no extra cost as the repair has already been paid for or offer an solution or refund. I did not threaten at all I have kept all correspondence and have receipts for everything. I simply gave you guys one last chance to remedy this and you didn't. I am simply sharing my experience with your company. Although you may have done great work for other people you surely did not with me. If you are a WINZ client be prepared to be treated like a 2nd class citizen and the work be done as cheaply and as quick as possible. The facts are this is what happened with me and you are now annoyed because I stood up to the shocking work and the way I was treated. Not even 1 star in my view. I hope you take my review into consideration before choosing to spend your money here....

Negative experience: I saw Ertan and not only did I receive an injury to the floor of my mouth that required removing a gland that was damaged, he also damaged healthy teeth adjacent to the ones he worked on. A rubber mouth guard to protect the floor of my mouth and greater care would have prevented this injury and damage happening. If I had known what the risks of receiving care from this dentist were, I would have gone elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I've avoided the dentist for 10 years after not so many great experiences but after visiting this Ertan at lumino New lynn, my anxiety around dentists have diminished. Such an amazing team here! Thank you so much for your epic service

Fantastic experience: My wife Linnel and I would like to express our sincere appreciation for the outstanding customer service we received today. We walked in to Lumino New Lynn this morning just to try our luck if a dentist could provide “immediate” treatment to Linnel, as she’s really in pain for hours already. Unfortunately, they are fully booked. But when we are to leave, the dental assistant talked to the receptionist who then said that the Dentist would accomodate Linnel as he can tell that she needs to be treated with urgency. Our interaction with the team has left a lasting positive impression on us and I felt compelled to share my appreciation to Shelly, Von and Dr. Ertan. See you next week for the follow up visit. Fantastic experience: I recently had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Rana at Lumino New Lynn after a major surgery at Lumino Henderson for my complete denture. Initially, I faced some alignment issues with the denture and was referred to Dr. Rana. He explored several options to make the denture fit better, but despite his efforts, it didn't hold as expected. Understanding how frustrating it was for me to return weekly for adjustments, Dr. Rana went above and beyond. After multiple tweaks, he eventually replaced the entire denture at no extra cost—an exceptional gesture that truly stood out. Now, I’m incredibly satisfied with my new denture. I have no discomfort, and I can eat whatever I like with ease. The transition has been seamless, and it feels as if there is no difference compared to before. Dr. Rana’s expertise, dedication, and care have been truly remarkable, and I highly recommend him for anyone in need of dental care. His professionalism and kindness helped me through a difficult time, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Fantastic experience: I am the biggest scaredy cat there is when visiting the Dentist. From my first consultation..... to getting my 3 teeth taken out, I was put at ease. Doctor Haris worked on me and there was NO PAIN. He explained to me what he was doing which was very reassuring. Doctor Haris and the girls on reception are lovely and friendly. He explains the procedure and the cost, which I thought reasonable. The reception staff are friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending Lumino New Lynn.

Pricing are reasonable. Parking can be a hit and miss depends on the time of the day. If it's around school pick-up it can be really challenging.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say a massive thanks to Shally and the incredible service she provided to my very senior mother who was only visiting NZ but was in a lot of pain from a sudden dental infection. Even though we were not registered at the practice, and they were fully booked on calling reception, Shally made it a point to call all her upcoming patients to check if they were coming in and found a small slot where my mum could be seen by the the wonderful Dr. Harris as her case was quite urgent. On arrival she and Dr. Harris took real good care of her and made her extra comfortable. Shally even gave follow up calls just out of genuine care and concern and really went out if her way to make a complete stranger feel at home. Thanks again for the special care team lumino provided to my mother in times of distress.

Fantastic experience: I had an apptmnt scheduled on Saturday morning snd was held up. The efficient receptionist worked in another time with the dentist so I could still go in. The dentist is courteous, and informative in his treatment and follow through. He explained in detail exactly what my options were. I have avoided having the treatment for no reason other than anxiousness & how I will afford it. But here I am able to arrange it all for my benefit. Negative experience: Please be careful if you are a WINZ customer as this Dentist will take advantage of that. Went in to see what work needs to be done, instead of the Dentist giving me the best option for myself he gave me the most expensive option. Didn’t realise until I went to another dentist regarding my wisdom teeth to find out that a particular tooth that was worked on would of been better extracted. Also, when having my consultation with the Dentist, a few things like a complimentary clean was offered but upon dental work it was not given. Be aware!!!!

Have always heard nightmarish stories about root canals but mine was completely painless and easy. A highly recommended practice for all your dental needs.

Negative experience: The worst experience ever. I went for a filling that fell. I thought that it was an emergency because it was a little big. I was transferring from another Lumino in Auckland because my doctor was on maternity leave and this practice was closer to my home (I moved recently). In my previous practice they said that I didn't need the general examination because they were transferring my files, but the doctor in New Lynn decided he wanted to do it again (70 dollars). After his analysis he told me that I needed to replace all my fillings for about 2000. So, a little emergency became a big problem which was never an issue with my trusted doctor in the Shore. Very recently I was in my home country and visited another excellent doctor there. He saw no issue with my fillings either. So...after the results of this visit, I am going back to my previous doctor, even considering that I have to wait two months to repair a filling. I feel lucky because at least they didn't touch my tooth. How to trust a place like this...

Fantastic experience: All dentists are costly, we all know that going in... But what I appreciated from this practice is that their prices are listed clearly on the site, then after my consultation I was given a breakdown of what I needed and what each thing would cost, and my dentist explained to me what was urgent and what could wait etc. So I didn't feel pressured into suddenly paying for a whole lot of stuff, instead I could save for it over a year etc.

Fantastic experience: Had avoided Dentist for 15 years due to fear of needles and cost! However Dentist was great, made me comfortable, really no pain. Have good payment plans and options. Was given options on dental care and treatments and was not forced into treatments that I didn't want or were unnecessary. Would absolutely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have a major fear of going to the dentist for the past 5 years ever since waking up mid surgery when getting wisdom teeth out. Just sitting in the chair i start to cry and tremble. I have gone to many dentists in west auckland but was not able to ever find one that made me feel comfortable, or a dentist that i could trust would be able to manage my pain. After seeing such high reviews and my tooth ache becoming too much i decided to give lumino a try. For the first time in 5 years i was able to relax and left without being in tears or pain! The denstist was very calm, assured me at any point we could take a break. He would check in with me, and explain thoroughly what was going on. They had this funny tool that meant even the pain relief injection wasnt felt at all ! I am ecstatic and if this is how all my dental appointments may be , i think that they have fixed not just my tooth but my fears as well !

Fantastic experience: I had a bad tooth and couldn't sleep at all so I had to take it out. My friend highly recommended Dr.Haris Redzepagic here. I am still new in NZ so as a non-native English speaker, it's sometimes really hard to understand medical words they use. But Haris is very kind and he explained again and again for me so that I could feel very relaxed. The receptionist and dental assistant were also very friendly. The clinic is clean with a nice relaxing atmosphere. Such is Haris’ skill, my recovery was quick and painless. Thank you Dr.Haris and your team for helping me out during a painful time!

And it was a good decision to choose Lumino, Dr. Haris confirmed that my tooth can still be fixed/revived with conservative method and not root canal. He even gave me options and suggested which he thinks would suit the state of my tooth. He gave me detailed explanation on my treatment plan, how’s and why’s were discussed clearly which is something I didn’t get with my previous dentist. Fantastic experience: OMG .... I am the biggest coward when it comes to dentists. The rank fear factor is that equivalent to serial killers and giant mutant spiders. I freeze in fear when at the dentist, pretty extreme and almost pass out. Except, when I went there, no pain at all. The worse thing that happened to me was a really itchy nose. They use a dental vibe which vibrates your gums causing your nose to itch then they use the injection that works really fast. Seriously, I had a hard time staying awake. In there for almost 2 hours. So relaxed watching tv, dozed off several times while my teeth were being grounded, and had deep root canals. No. Not afraid to go to the dentist anymore. Dr Ertan was fantastic. Thank you.Highly recommend this company to anyone. Don't be afraid, there is no pain, I promise. Just a itchy nose, so you may want to bring a peg. Dental vibe takes your mind off the injection when its going in and causes you to focus your senses on your nose. lol. NO PAIN
