Negative experience: It was deeply distressing and unacceptable behavior experience with my child during the visit to that male dentist. My daughter was referred by the school dentist due to a very sore and painful tooth. Upon arrival we were the male dentist whose behavior was aggressive and lacking compassion. During the examination he placed his gloved hand in my daughter's mouth and pressed down forcefully on the very tooth that was paining- the one caursing her significant pain. He pushed so hard that my doughter bust into tears right on the chair. What made the situation even worse was his cold and dismissive atittude. He did not acknowledge her pain, appologize or even try to comfort her Instead he turned to me and said it's upto the government to decide if we remove the tooth or not but at the moment we can't do anything. Then he simply walked away leaving my daughter crying and tromatized. My child was so distressed she begged me to never take her back that dentist again and I fully agree with her. This kind of treatment, especially towards a child in pain is completely unacceptable. A dental professional should never handle a patient especially a child- with such a disregard and lack of empathy.

Fantastic experience: Dr Najar created a beautiful smile with his orthodontistry for our eldest son. Incredibly well explained consultation and made it a really settling experience. The payment plan helped immensely and most importantly, our son has an incredible smile that has helped him secure many acting roles ! Thank you Avondale Dental Centre

Negative experience: I initially felt Dr Sinan was good. But with my WINZ amount given to me, he went on and on about a root canal needed plus a crown with another. A tooth that was filled not only hurt during the procedure plus after. It also cost more than quoted initially. My concern that he is trying to get as much as possible from WINZ. We don't have money for extras. He needs to discuss what is best with what the client can afford. As another person has posted. Thankyou. After the owners response. I had discussed with him to remove the tooth as I didn't want a root canal for a back molar.

Fantastic experience: Have been a patient at Avondale Dental Center for over 5 years and a bit! Never have I been disappointed in service as well as treatmeant The best customer services and always so welcoming every visit. Diffidently 5 STARS

Negative experience: Absolute disgrace this place is. My daughter went there today for a general checkup and was spoken too with alot of disrespect, my daughter came out of there crying because of the way she was spoken to by the dentist himself was uncalled for. Like she was a problem. How dare he speak to customers like that. Receptionist and apprenticeship that was there was very lovely but not the dentist himself. I do not recommend going to this dentist at all, very arrogant, not polite and disrespect 100%.

Fantastic experience: Got an implant done. One tooth. The process was long. A year later and Dr. Sinan has proved he's the best. You cannot tell I have an implant, and I even forget I have one. Had I taken care of my teeth beforehand, I'd never had needed an implant. Dr. Sinan is thorough in his work to ensure the best possible outcome. Very grateful to him and have not missed an appointment ever since.

The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly, Dr. Sinan Najar helped me with correcting my teeth and allowed me to have an amazing smile. if you're looking for a regular check up or getting something serious done, Avondale Dental Center is the best place to come.

Negative experience: I’m going to this place long time but this time was worse hygiene cleaning ever , she was rude and da way she was clean my teeth was really painful and when she was polishing water was all over my face and neck, she didn’t even 25 minutes clean , it was bleeding more then an hour , never going back again

Came in with sore tooth and i was so scared that i might lose it because it is badly decayed but Sinan did a great job on explaining me the possible options to save my tooth. Great Services and lovely staffs (specially the nurses)! Would probably recommend them to my friends and family.

Negative experience: Visted this dentist a few years ago ended up with an infection, right after a school sore obviously not clean gloves an equipment,also had nothing but problems with the tooth worked on that I have since had to have removed'stay clear!!!

I'm very happy with his work and also in any case of emergency he is always available and has an appointment and the time to deal with the issue which is rare in the medical era nowadays.

Positive experience: This is a late post but when I did go to this dentist I had a really good experience. Although it looks shabby from the outside, the interior is clean, welcoming and surprisingly quite arty. The female dentist who tended to me was professional and gave me some good advice...as well as free sensitive toothpaste samples!

Fantastic experience: Sinan Najar was my dentist for many years until I moved to Tauranga three years ago. In the last 3 years, any dental visits I have needed have been met with comments on the extremely high standard of dental care I have received prior to coming to Tauranga. Fantastic experience: Dr Sinan is amazing, I first came to get my wisdom tooth out in 2009 and was super scared of pain but I didn’t feel a thing. I’ve been coming here since and now my kids, family and friends come here too

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sinan has been the dentist i go to for over 15 years. He and the team are always helpful, friendly and the service is outstanding. I have also had to take my little one for baby teeth extraction, and the staff were so friendly, they put him at ease, the whole procedure took minutes and my little boy said the needle didn't even hurt. I can not recommend them enough.

Dr Sinan is so great i have my filling over 10 years now and every year i go for check up they are still good as new. Very friendly team they are really good with follow ups and yearly check ups. All his work, fillings, root canal and crown has been pain free during the sessions and have had no problems since. Really considerate and gentle dentist, perfect for a nervous patient like myself.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I visited the clinic many times and were warmly treated, the prices were reasonable, and the scientific knowledge of Dr. Sinan and his team was very dependable. I strongly recommend everyone.

Negative experience: Enrolled my teen here when new to the area and booked in for a routine check and clean which is covered by Gov funding scheme for children (aswell as fillings , extractions & preventative treatments) Unfortunately we did not receive the treatment expected in comparison to previous years and dentists. Teeth were not cleaned as requested and she informed any teeth cleaning would require applying for it to be approved and covered first. Unfortunately due to this lack of thoroughness and either honesty or knowledge of the scheme we enrolled elsewhere to complete treatment with a deep scale and polish as advised.

Negative experience: I went there sat afternoon, i purchased voucher via groupon which is why i came here. I bought 2 surface treatment which the lady explained to me one teeth could need multi surface, after she checked my teeth she suggest this teeth will need a 2 surface filling treatment which i agreed. After job done i went home when injection gone, i look at my teeth and still has half crack, which she only fix half of it. What a rip off, very disappointed, and she didn't complete her job. I don't recommend here to anyone. After they rang me up ask me to go back, i went back and Niki now said this teeth need 5 surface, but she can get it done with another 2 surface, very unprofessional, didn't do what was promised at first place. And if you look at those 5 stars review for same place, a lot of user actually one off user, not a honest 5 star review, does it, don't let them fool you.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Avondale Dental Centre for around 15 years and I love Sinan and his team. They are a 'one stop shop' for everything dental and more! Pricing is very reasonable and the team are ever so caring and gentle - especially for someone like me who gets terribly nervous when 'in the chair'. Sinan has rebuilt my teeth and made me proud to smile! And he has done the same for many of my friends. One especially who put up with a horrid plate for her two missing front teeth for decades - she would never smile or eat out for fear of those falsies falling out! Sinan was able to restore not only her smile, but her self worth! Negative experience: We did one check up with them, it was quite fine. But since then they are nagging us all the time via e-mail and phone! I asked them to stop, as we are moving abroad and not going to use their services anymore, but they are still calling and calling! Horrible!

Fantastic experience: I used a grab one voucher for a scale, polish and xray there was no hidden costs and alot of time was spend today the clean and also calming me down! Dr Dhvani Bhatt is so so lovely! Shes just amazing! I also had a filling done (which I knew was needed) at a very reasonable price. The practice looks small from the outside but inside is clean and welcoming, receptionist is lovely and his communication with all my questions was absolutely awesome!. Highly highly recommend and I would def use again

That said, over many years, I have had extensive dental work under-taken by Avondale Dental, all of which has been entirely successful. I have always found the team to be professional and friendly and have no hesitation in recommending the team at Avondale Dental

Negative experience: I got a filling done 7 months later it came loose I went in to see them about it and they said they can't help me with it and that it's was out of their hands after 6 months poor customer service I ended going to the dentist across the road from them and apparently a lot of other customers do the same and have changed dentist - don't recommend them at all stay away from those place
