Fantastic experience: Had an appointment today with Paola and Jess, to have a amalgam filling replaced and a couple of new fillings. They were both extremely friendly and kind, and made me feel at ease and safe. They are knowledgeable, kind and respectful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone

Fantastic experience: Recently I have been able to have some constructive dentistry work completed and Paola was the dentist who cared for me at Dental on Raffles. Initially I had a consult which Paola understood my desired look I was seeking. After a couple of sessions with her, my teeth and smile not only look physically improved by achieving my goals but also I felt so much more confident by not feeling like I want to hide that part of my mouth. Paola is extremely professional in her approach and her artistry is beautiful and subtle. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to improve their smile or function, to at least have a consult with Paola. Technology is able to do really cool things now but also craft in the professional is equally important.

Fantastic experience: I met Paola part way through my daughter's Myobrace treatment in July 2023. My daughter had a very narrow arch, her teeth were overcrowded, and she was a mouth breather. She had a Bent Wire System (BWS) inserted to increase her arch and allow for the adult teeth to come down naturally. She also wears a Myobrace to ensure her teeth are correctly aligned. This was quite a process for my daughter who is naturally quite anxious. Paola constantly reassured her how well she was doing and was just so gentle with her at every visit. Now, at the end of her treatment, her teeth are just beautiful! They are straight, there is no overcrowding, and it has corrected her breathing pattern with the help of the Myobrace at night. I highly recommend Paola and this more natural/gentle way of aligning teeth. Paola is very good at what she does and we felt in very safe hands along the way. We appreciate all that you have done for us.

Fantastic experience: I want to share my experience at Dental on Raffles, where I was treated by Dr Paola Fenton and her assistant Jess. Both are extremely professional, maintain excellent communication between themselves, and take great care of you throughout the process. They performed several fillings and two molar extractions for me, and I always felt safe and supported by the team. I’m Latina, from Argentina, and it was invaluable to be able to discuss my situation in my native language with Dr Paola, who is from Colombia. This allowed me to express my concerns clearly and fully understand every step of the treatment without the barrier of a different language, which is crucial when it comes to health matters. One area for improvement is their X-ray system, which only provides images tooth by tooth rather than an overall view of the entire mouth. While this can be addressed by manually examining the dentition, it could lead to errors if not thoroughly reviewed. Additionally, the clinic is very busy, and appointments tend to fill up quickly. They have limited availability for emergencies, so it’s essential to book well in advance. However, they do offer an emergency waitlist, and if a slot becomes available, they’ll call you immediately—but this isn’t guaranteed. Overall, I had an excellent experience and highly recommend this place for their professionalism and the compassionate care they provide.

Negative experience: I had got composite veneers costing well over 4 k one tooth chipped then it happened again they said because it was the same tooth it was under warranty then it happened again said no will have to pay each tooth again they were all discoloured right from start I am so disappointed and will let every one know not to get veneers done by Gary.

Negative experience: Will not recommended them.. VERY expensive.. arrived here 3 months ago.. got charge twice by both doctors for 1 tooth.. $550 .. very disappointed in the service provided

Negative experience: Minor filling turned into a repair because it cracked and charged pretty much full price to fix

Fantastic experience: Nobody likes having to go to the dentist, but if you have to, its great to have such a great place thats cares and doesnt allow you to exoerience any pain. I have had x 2 quite major sugeries at Dental on Raffles and neither time have I had any pain whatsoever. They are so caring and careful. You dont even feel the injections, as they totally numb the area first. Will always come here, even if it means 1.5 hrs of travel. I really appreciate all the staff. So professional !

Fantastic experience: I wasn't expecting to give a 5 star review as I'm having issues with a filling they did, however they have had two seperate dentists look at it for me which has been reassuring, also Gary was a lovely dentist

Negative experience: Couldn't get me in for month, even with extreme pain. Got seen within the day at Parkside dentists and tooth to be pulled in a few days. No way could I do a month of pain.. also when you ring through you get hung up on before anyone even answers

Negative experience: I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed two years ago, no pain relief given for the recovery period. I quickly became concerned as I believed I had developed an infection, I revisited the dentist that had done the procedure and he dismissed my concerns after a brief examination. I then went to my GP as I had developed a fever, after a quick look said that I had a fairly severe infection and was also amazed I hadn't been prescribed anything for pain. Once I was on pain relief and antibiotics I finally started to heal. More than 2 years later I am having complications as a result of the issues likely caused at this practice. After a CT scan I am now scheduled for a surgery to a sinus to clear out the remnants of infection & inflammation. I really hope that dentist doesn't work there anymore. If he doesn't I'll happily remove this review.

Negative experience: *'*WARNING** - I wish there was a ZERO STAR option here. EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY OF WORK, as soon as i alerted them to an issue that i was having the staff response towards me became very hostile. The work that i had done with Dental on Raffles is BELOW ACCEPTABLE levels, and i am now far worse off now than i was before hand, now i am in a position off having to spend another $3000.00 DOLLARS to have the work done all over again with another dentist as speaking is dam near impossible let alone trying to eat. PLEASE be cautious when finding a dentist.

Fantastic experience: awesome people, amazing service, ive had bad wisdom teeth for the last 5 years and was always told i need oral surgery, Garth and Garry got them out super easy, and pretty much healed up in a week, will recommend to anyone i know with teeth issues, Thanks team

Negative experience: I felt their admin staff were rude, and disrespectful, her phone mannerisms are unprofessional. Due to this covid period I couldn't make it to the appointment and she was really snotty about it. Now I don't feel like going to this practice I might just cancel all appointments and refund the money for my three appointments and go elsewhere. The dentists themselves are amazing good work and the only reason why I give two stars...

Negative experience: Overpriced, had to pay extra $50 for ppe gear because of covid bulls**t, yet when I got there the dentist was wearing the same outfit they normally wear when their is no covid restrictions, this I feel is bad customer relations. Won't be going back there again and will probably head to sum overseas country to give them my hard earned money to have full dental implants as I feel I will be ripped off by this dental practice.

They were able to see me on the same day for consultation and the very next morning the tooth was out. All the staff were so kind, explained things really well and gave me lots of reassurance. They've got a new customer for good! Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Went to Dental on Raffles yesterday because of a unexpected broken front tooth. I rang them on the Wednesday morning, and had an appointment the same day. Jaymon was a kind gentleman, his assistant was wonderful too. Jaymon gave alternative solutions to resolve my tooth problem. I would defiantly recommend Dental on Raffles.

Fantastic experience: Good communication, good dental work, well priced. I had another dentist and every time I went there, they were creating another dental problem to be fixed. I discovered Dental on Raffles when I had enough and another dentist's poor dental work needed to be fixed/redone. I'm afraid of needle and not necessarily a good communicator (I was in panic) but people in Raffles, the receptionist, the dentist, everyone, were very understanding and helpful. They were focused on the solution rather than milking the patient. I got a perfect looking front tooth now and I'm very grateful. /// I'm adding this part almost a year later than the first part of my review. I had some pain during the lockdown. I went to a closer dentist (I live in another city) and they took x-rays, they couldn't identify the problem. They suggested a root canal. So, I traveled to Napier and I went to Dental on Raffles. My dentist identified the problem and fixed it for much less than a root canal price! On top of that, it didn't hurt at all because after the injection, he waited for my lip to go numb. Most dentists in New Zealand make the injection, and they start right away because 'time is money'... Not in Dental on Raffles and I'm glad I discovered them.

Positive experience: Unfair, because you didn't give my friend a say in regards to what she wanted. In fact she felt pressured by saying you recommend this when really it's money hungry.

Fantastic experience: 100% would recommend. Rang in for emergency dental and they had us in within 45minutes. Dentist and assistant were very kind considering the dental phobia and took a lot of time to help my partner out. Would recommend for anybody!

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for a few years now, always find staff excellent., the equipment is very up-to-date as are the techniques. Hygiene is A+++ Yesterday I phoned for an urgent appointment with Gary but was not able see him. I was given excellent over the phone advise on pain management and other pre appointment advice. Saw Isha Woodhams today. Her treatment plan was well thought out and clearly explained, and was based on what is best for me, not all about the $. Can highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Awesome staff and dentists, and one of the few places you can get a choice of sedation, which for me is great being a total phobic, and who's intolerant to standard medications offered at other dental clinics. Well worth the money if you want a sterling job done, no cowboys here, just a really great service.

Fantastic experience: I never had good experiences with dentists until I walked into this dental practice. I immediately felt at ease. The staff are caring and friendly, the colour pallet is a calming pale pink, blue and cream, and the dentists are non-judgmental. They are there to help you make the right decision about what is best for you and allow you to make your own choices depending on your own situation. They take great pride and pleasure in the results they achieve for their patients. I would and have, highly recommended Dental on Raffles and now would not go anywhere else.

Positive experience: I have been going to Dental on Raffles for five years. Marie is my dental hygienist and she is excellent! I try and schedule an appointment with her for every 6 months. She is kind and caring and even though I have very sensitive gums, she always gives me a thorough cleaning. Nicole is one of the receptionists and she is also very sweet. She greets me kindly and schedules my appointments so that they fit into my busy day. I have seen one of the dentists there as well. He did a full set of X-rays and found that I had a small cavity, which he filled. The waiting room is bright with comfortable chairs, current magazines and a TV. However, I never have to wait very long. Everyone is prompt and when you have an appointment for a certain time, that is the time you are seen! Overall, everyone there is very professional!! I would definitely recommend Dental on Raffles for anyone who is looking for dental care. Fantastic experience: I am impressed by the total professionalism of all members of this practice that I have come across. I have always received top service, and been treated with respect and caring. They appear to me to be leaders in their field in initiating and keeping up to date with the latest trends and knowlege which gives me confidence in their ability to do a job well. From the front office staff who always get back to me so quickly and when they say they will, the dentists themselves, and the premises they work in - totally A1. I fully recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I have had the benefit of visiting Gary and his team for a couple of years now and covered all bases with my treatments for both cosmetic, general check-ups and regular hygienist appointments.
