Fantastic experience: Ravi has been my dentist for over 15 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else - he is always super kind, thorough and informative. I also saw a new hygienist last week, Durrah, and she was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Sammy was really good - she explained my options carefully! Have got to have a tooth extracted, see the hygienist, and have 2 Composites made for my top 2 teeth!

Negative experience: Pro: were really helpful and patient with payment options while i sought support from WINZ and elsewhere Cons: said I had to wait 5 months for a hygienist appt, I booked in but when it came time for the appt, they had no record of my appt. Also said I needed 2 fillings, I went to another dentist at The Wellington Dental Practice and was told that the 2nd was not necessary.

Negative experience: Terrible service, greedy for money with poor work quality. Read all the one star reviews I've expected much the same. Thousands of dollars wasted. Poor hygienist also. Absolutely do not recommend. Proceed with caution and read reviews.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this place for a teeth clean and polish. I went some years ago and it was absolute agony. The dental hygienist was practically carving me a new gum with the dental floss. I said I was in pain and asked her to be gentler and she just refused and said this is what you've come in for. I was scared to get another clean for ages. I've just had one by a different hygienist and it was great. There was no discomfort whatsoever and my teeth look so nice. I realise now I should've stopped the hygienist and gone somewhere else. This dental hygienist should be censored for single-handedly putting people off having their teeth cleaned.

Negative experience: Do not expect to be treated with kindness and respect if you are a young person or student. This has been my dentist since I was a teen but since becoming a young adult all my experiences have consisted of condescending, rude and patriarchal male dentists who treat me like I’m some kind of moron who only just found out what their teeth are used for. Dentist’s definitely require retraining on bedside manner and how to work appropriately with young people. Absolutely disgusted at my experience and will be signing up to a new dentist. The dentist can already be a vulnerable and anxiety inducing experience without some arrogant boomer talking down to you while their hands are in your mouth. I asked him if he could let me know if my teeth otherwise were generally healthy or should I be booking in and he refused to answer me. The arrogance and distain I felt was absolutely appalling. He Asked me how I would afford my surgery, whether my dad (who’s dead) could pay for it. The amount of judgment I felt because I am a student on studylink using Winz is obscene. No one should be made to feel like this. This issue ONLY exists within their dentistry staff, support workers and receptionists are lovely.

Negative experience: I’ve come here 4-5 times over a spam of 2 years and have had positive results with both the dental procedures and dentist Andrew who is really good at his job, sadly I’ve had an encounter over the phone with one of the staff member here where she was extremely rude to me when I’d had mistaken my appointment time she was demanding an explanation from me to why I didn’t come and to why I’d wasted their precious time her attitude and response towards me was unprofessional and rude, I have left this dentist, sadly I just felt like dollar signs in their eyes glad I left

Negative experience: This place is going downhill. I'm the last of my family and friends moving to another dentist. I'm sick of repeatedly being treated like scum by the admin. Repeated cancellations hours before the appointment for doubious reasons and then have to wait for months again.Unfriendly, unqualified and rough admin Staff who don't care. Don't go here if you want a bettter experience.

Negative experience: The nurse who did my two fillings was quite rough. The local anesthetic injection was jabbed really hard which has left me with a really sore jaw for over a week now. She also didn't check up on me through out the whole procedure which I prefer to be done so i can adjust discomfort.

Fantastic experience: I would thoroughly recommend this practice. I've had Emily more than once now and she is brilliant. No pain, informative empathetic communication and excellent work.

Negative experience: Since David McKelvey left the place has gone to the pits. i would not go here if i were you. you will be disappointing yourself. Very bad customer service, its all about the $ for these guys so if you want to spend a fortune for average care go here.

Fantastic experience: I'm a dentists worst nightmare, with very weak teeth and a slew of dental nurse stories which have left me with a dental phobia that would rival few. These guys were patient and caring and gently helped me step through a tooth extraction that I had delayed far too long. I felt listened to and was not pushed any faster than I was able to go. Emily, my dentist and her assistant (whose fingers I may have broken while holding her hand), were both amazing and Sharyn, their office manager was also brilliant, checking in on me and making sure I didn't bolt out the door before my appointment. I have a lot of work that still needs doing and I'm feeling that I can proceed with these people, which is saying a lot for me. I highly recommend these folk if you have any dreaded dental phobias or find the dentist a difficult place to visit.

Fantastic experience: Ive only been once but the trip deserves 5 stars purely because they are so upfront about their (reasonable) fees. This is a real rarity in this country - lots of businesses seem to be put out if you ask about fees . Or in the case of a nameless professional (not dentist) we engaged - charged us double their quote without ANY explanation whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: Andre extracted two molars and I opted for IV sedation and I am so grateful for his kindness, precision and expertise. He knew that I was nervous about the operation but assured me several times, not getting frustrated. He even allowed my support team to fill his room the first appointment. I was DREADING having this done, but if I knew how easy it would have been I would have done it months ago! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Got an appointment on a Saturday last minute. They were so helpful, understanding and caring. The dentist was super gentle and took the time to explain in depth of what care I need to take at home. I will most certainly recommend and return when need be. 5 star

Fantastic experience: I've had to have a fair bit of work done recently, and for someone who generally isn't fond of going to the dentist, each time has been a positive experience here. Rebecca has been absolutely fantastic, and I feel at ease in her care. She explains everything concisely, goes the extra mile, and patiently answers any of my questions. I have had a wisdom tooth extracted by Andre, who was also fantastic - he explained everything clearly, addressed any of my concerns and kept me calm (I was quite nervous). The extraction went smoothly, was painless and quick! Lastly, I have had hygienist treatment with Louise, who was lovely and again, explained everything clearly to me and patiently answered any questions. Reception staff are polite and professional and whenever my appointment happens to run a bit late, I've never been rushed and get the most out of my appointment/time with the dentist.

Negative experience: Wasn't lucky enough to get 5 service. Well, my bad. I should stay with my rule to not go to places with low ratings. This lesson costed me $235 and waisted time. Disappointed with customer service in general. Customer always right - not works in this place. Their guarantees - empty words. If you brave enough- try your luck, but read reviews first. In my case I had most terrible experience in my entire life. Well I still believe in karma.

Negative experience: I got scammed by this company. I went for a clean, ended up getting charged $60 and told a clean wouldn't be available for months. When I challenged the staff they were rude, and when my wife rang later they hung up on her. Emails to them resulted in defensive refusals.

Fantastic experience: Recently had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and it was a great experience. Andre works wonders, he did a fantastic and pain free job! All of the staff are incredibly friendly and caring. Highly recommend Symes de Silva!

Fantastic experience: Terrific service , good prices, and my dentist, Isaac ter Ellen, was thoroughly professional in explaining all about the treatment and giving me all the options open to me ,what they would entail,and what his "best practice " recommendation was. Result....one problem solved, and a further appointment made to fix another,less urgent, tooth. I'm happy....

Positive experience: This dental clinic is good in that they are located in the Wellington CBD and have after work appointments. However, every time I have an appointment, I ALWAYS have to wait. The appointments never seem to run on time. Once I was waiting nearly 30 minutes and when I checked with the receptionist for updates, was told it wouldn’t be long. They expect the courtesy of 24 hours’ notice if you can’t make your appointment, but can’t manage to see their patients at their allocated time anyway. Makes me wonder why they don’t just give themselves longer per appointment.....

Negative experience: It was really good when i went first time i met Isac who was really good but second time i met Rebekah she was in a rush to finish my checkup they told me the normal consultation is around $60 but i was been charged $97 with no clear explanation of why i was charged so much and what was the problem with my teeth. My recommendation is if you ever visit these guys please don't go for Rebekah. Ask for Isac he was a nice gentleman who really helped me with the problem i had with my gums previously. I don't really like reviewing places but this terrible experience made me do this.

Positive experience: The actual dental service is good, well priced and I have been a regular client for years. Unfortunately I have found some of the service to be rude. Recently I rang for a hygienist appointment, was immediately put on hold and then hung up on when I didn't respond quick enough to the pick up. I rang back and the lady abruptly said "The next free appointment is four months away" *crickets* Me: "Oh, ok then" then a click as they hung up again. Ah well I guess my money goes somewhere else...

Fantastic experience: This is the best place ever to get your dental work done, especially for nervous and anxious patients. My family and I have been seeing Ravi for many years now and have all always had the best, pain free experience and results. Always on time, very easy to get an appointment, affordable, and all the staff are very helpful and kind. Negative experience: I found Dr de silva rude and expensive especially considering I'm now having to get all the fillings he put in replaced! If you like being overcharge for inadequate work and enjoy a needlessly painful and rude experience go hear otherwise there's way better and cheaper dentist in wellington

Fantastic experience: I needed a filling replaced. I got an appointment that day and it ended up costing less than the (very reasonable) price range I was quoted. Dr. David was very friendly and understanding, and explained everything he was doing as he went so there were no surprises. The whole experience was very quick and painless, would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Went in with a long running pain in my upper molars and got the right advice to get it extracted than a root canal and saved me a fortune that way and of course relieving me of the unending pain in my tooth. The dentist also took time to give me a detailed holistic commentary of my oral health including recommendations which I personally haven't witnessed at any other practice before. Splendid service at a very reasonable price. Recommended!

Fantastic experience: Graham Symes is one of the best dentist I've had (and i've had a few!). He was very professional and knew exactly what he was doing. I was recommended here by a family member and would defiantly recommend this practice to anyone who asked.

Fantastic experience: Great service. They were professional, didn’t have to wait long, and the dentist tells you exactly what he will do. They have TV screens on the ceiling so you can watch TV and be distracted from whatever is being done to you. I didn’t have much done, but I was surprised they didn’t try to push me into buying an additional service to spend more money.
