Negative experience: I was drawn in by the positive reviews and a deal on GrabOne, but my visit to Mr. Sachin Sood for porcelain veneers turned into a nightmare. From the outset, the experience was unprofessional and distressing. When I arrived, I learned the GrabOne deal I purchased (which advertised two veneers for a certain price) was supposedly an error—it was meant to be for one veneer. The dentist wasn’t even aware of the offer until my appointment. Once he realized the mistake, he stormed out of the room, yelling at the assistant to fix it. This behavior was humiliating and uncomfortable to witness. Despite agreeing to honor the deal (legally, he had no choice), it was clear he resented doing so, and his attitude only worsened. The treatment itself felt rushed and impersonal. I wasn’t consulted about what I wanted, and he didn’t give me the opportunity to ask questions or voice my concerns. He skipped explaining the process entirely, went straight to work, and seemed dismissive of my input. When administering the injections, he was rough and careless, causing immediate and abnormal swelling in my lips. It felt as though he was taking his frustrations out on me, which made the pain unbearable. I have a medical condition called vasovagal syncope, which can cause fainting in response to pain or distress. Midway through, I told him I was feeling faint and needed a break, only to be snapped at: “Look! You either want this or you don’t. Make up your mind right now!” His tone left me on the verge of tears, but I pushed through. Thankfully, my partner was there to witness the ordeal, but even he was asked to leave when he tried to explain my condition. The results were devastating. I walked out with poorly done veneers that eventually fell off, leaving me with shaved, discolored teeth and a large gap. When I approached Mr. Sood about fixing his work, he demanded full payment on top of what I had already paid. I had to seek legal advice and go through a lengthy process to get my money back. If you're considering cosmetic dental work like veneers or crowns, do not go here. Mr. Sood lacks professionalism, empathy, and the skill required for such procedures. His bedside manner is appalling, and he seems more focused on money than patient care. My advice: do thorough research. Ask for before-and-after photos, read reviews, and check credentials. Sometimes it’s worth saving a bit more to go to a true specialist—doing so could save you from a lot of heartache and expense.

Negative experience: This place is a horror story. Years ago my dad came for a simple extraction for ONE tooth. Once he was in the chair for the procedure, the dentist kept saying "oh this one also needs to come out" and kept going until all the top row of teeth was removed. How was this somethi g the dentist didnt discuss and ask for consent before hand? Or even plan to remove talk about and remove in a future appointment. They also gave my dad a useless pair of dentures to replace his teeth that kept falling out. Making him miserable for years afterwards. He doesnt exactly remember the name of the dentist from this clinic, but Im putting a review now hoping other people havent had and dont had a horrible experience like this. Its sad and horrifying seeing how it has affected my dad afterwards...

Fantastic experience: Amazing service. Joshua was very clear in explaining the options available to me and once we made a plan it was carried out quickly and professionally. His interaction with his assistant was also very professional. Friendly service from Chrissy on the desk also, making it an awesome experience. Cheers.

Positive experience: Prices are reasonable. But please be careful and get another opinion if you are unsure. Unfortunately I ended up with a treatment injury (very likely to have been unintentional) for a root canal tooth which fortunately was covered by ACC.

Fantastic experience: This is my second difficult wisdom tooth I’ve had removed here. I highly recommend if you have anxiety or are nervous the team are kind, compassionate and incredibly skilled!

Positive experience: Very easy to book got a emergency appointment for the next day from when I called ..most expensive that I have used but they do a good job

Fantastic experience: We'll i would like to say a big thank you ,I'm no longer in pain silly me was in pain for 4 weeks. as I was concern about the cost of the dentist ,why did i wait for so long ,me thinking that the pain would go away, yeah no, i couldn't put up with it any more that morning my daughter looked online so when i had finish work we could hoop in the car as we were 1hr away they were so helpful and polite, under stood that i was 1hr away and could work in with me for when i had finish work to take me in .the waiting time was not long at all as i finished fulling out new patient form it was my turn. they talked me though set by set to reassure me before i new it ,it was over one happy customer here. the next day i had a follow up over the phone to see how i was. Fantastic experience: These guys are lovely - reception staff are kind and helpful. Have been here twice. My dentist (unfortunately he is not listed on the website), he works Wednesdays and Fridays explained my procedures in plain language and is reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed in this dentist, i paid for treatment here, and cancelled my appointment before having to attend. They said: They would refund my money, now it's been almost 2 weeks and no refund. Have messaged and called: NO ANSWER. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!

Negative experience: Receptionist white girl very rude and swearing on phone .. just came in for examination and she said no charges . Later on she said I have to pay $70 , as she realised later that I do t have winz card . Hope staff got trained and know how to communicate. Don’t need to be racist with customers If that’s the scenario why your receptionist yelling on phone . Even from today morning we requested copy of invoice abs quote to get tooth fixed no response till now . That’s shame how you guys run and operate this . This is not first time we been to doctor . Shame on business like this . If you going to charge why it’s not discussed at first as your receptionist Christi accept that she didn’t realised that he is here for winz quote . He don’t have winz account details but your staff is untrained so better putting on customers check what service you offer .

When i was growing up i had some traumatic experiences with dentists which lead me to neglect my teeth for a long period of time. I have had 5 appointments carried out by Dr Sachin Sood and i have not one bad thing to say about the man. He does his job very well, very professional. The whole team have done an amazing job to help me through this process of improving my oral health. The dental assistant is fabulous she is very caring and down to earth. Making this experience as smooth as possible. To add to this their prices are very reasonable. Thanks team!!

Fantastic experience: Oh my god , what should i tell about the doctor. First of all was so happy to get the appointment same day. Then i was quite scared to having treatment done. Because I am extremely sensitive to pain specially tooth pain. They way doctor did whole process of my tooth filling was amazingly comfortable. I am thankful for having it done from here though this was my first experience with any dentist here in NZ. Highly recommended to all.

The denist is very good at injections. The new premises are awesome. Very clean and they have superb modern technology. And to top it off they are affordable!!

Negative experience: 1400 dollars just vanished here apparently said they will call.me back sort it out etc its been 3 week its been over 50 ignored emails face books etc etc over the course of this .what a joke will be pursuing legal action soon after chasing them up apparently its been refunded already. Very rude service hung up on had to threaten to go in in person and record how unprofessional they are before they said they would give me proof of where 1400 dollars went. Beyond a joke. Will make sure no one I know goes here

Negative experience: Going to the dentist is never a pleasant experience, it's something I constantly worry over until the appointment is over which is why I am so unhappy with the service provided by City Smile Dental. I had to take time off work for an appointment I booked in two weeks ago for them to tell me that they had closed early and cancelled all their appointments. I would have been okay with them cancelling if they had made any attempt to contact me and tell me that this was happening. This did not happen, I have no missed called, unread emails, unseen texts. NOTHING. And to make matters worse I didn't even getting an apology for them wasting my time.

Fantastic experience: Awesome team to look after you, I had to get a tooth pulled on Thursday 11 May had a damn abcess under the tooth I was a sooky told them to ignore the tears dentist and his assistant were great they kept me calm. I was exhausted as I had just finished a nightshift and he had given me antibiotics and stronger pain relief was awesome waking up from a sleep that evening and not being in constant pain. I will definitely be coming back again to City smile dentist again.

No choice, had to go , he was fantastic, numbed my gums before giving injections so I had no pain at All! His assistant was fantastic too, she never put that suk machine anywhere near my tonsils, did not gag once. I recommend him to any coward like myself and price wise was very reasonable. Fantastic experience: With New Year's Eve approaching and a long weekend, I felt it best to get my toothache checked out. I am amazed anyone would have a complaint about the service at City Smile Centre. The receptionist was brilliant when I rang and so accommodating. I am very anxious about dentist appointments, and was wary as it was someone I'd not met. Sachin was absolutely fantastic, friendly, professional and extremely thorough, checking out all possible reasons for my pain, and listening to me. I am a fusspot where my teeth are concerned, and I could not fault him at all. Be it as a permanent dentist or an emergency visit, I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.
