Fantastic experience: Professional, friendly and caring. Had some lengthy issues sorted here and have always received great care and support from Dr Tan initially; and then with Latoya (who is amazing, empathetic and always makes me feel super comfortable)!

Negative experience: One of the worst most unprofessional dentists in Auckland. I made a complaint about a dentist here and she proceeded to call and harassed me! I have the screen shots to prove this and the complaint I made. They also recommend procedures I didn’t need, I went to two other dentists for second opinions and they both disagreed with Lumino. Don’t go here or let anyone you know go here!

Fantastic experience: Been a patient here for 12+ years. The team is always courteous and do a great job looking after my teeth. They offer southern cross easy claim as well which makes payment straightforward. If you’re looking for a dentist and/or hygienist - highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I saw Doctor Rob Shearman and he was amazing. Told me what he was doing and didn’t just go in and pull my tooth out. He looked to see if it was worth saving. It wasn’t. His assistant was lovely too. She was very comforting . Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I recently saw Dr Harper for an issue with pain in one of my teeth. He was very helpful, and got me sorted quickly and painlessly. In fact, the entire staff there were very friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Preetesh for nearly 5 years now and he is easily the best dentist I've ever been to. Preetesh always takes the time to explain everything carefully and is very gentle. I've relocated to Christchurch now but I still visit Preetesh as I regularly visit Auckland for work. Receptionists are always friendly and the hygienists I've visited have been excellent.

Negative experience: If I could give the service at lumino auckland a Zero, I would. The practice manager (Sharma) here is absolutely manipulative as is their lumino hired dentists (Dr Lin). The experience I had, I actually took up to their regional manager who was semi helpful but it seemed like her apology was fake because she wanted to sort a problem. The practise manager doesn’t know how to apologise, kinda has the attitude that she owns the place and basically gets her staff to make your visit feel uncomfortable. I was booked to see a specialist here who isn’t full time at lumino, Lumino cancelled this appt without telling me. I turned up and after A LOT of anxiety and going back and forth, they got me to see Dr Lin, who at the time was nice to see but afterwards, I got an email from Sharma telling me Dr Lin had said I was rude and abnoxious because I wasn’t overly chatty / I’m sorry but I don’t need to be chatty to someone that’s looking inside my teeth Sharma was asked to apologise for her behaviour and instead of picking up the phone like an actual manager, she didn’t even do it over email and her regional manager had to. Honestly, don’t waste your time here. If you have specialist that you see here that isn’t actually lumino hired, ask to seem them at another practise. I’ve also seen the replies to all the other 1 star reviews on google - everyone has an excuse. Please don’t reply to this with your excuses, just get your staff trained on being kind and being client focused.

Negative experience: My journey with Lumino Dentists was a nightmare from start to finish. During my visit, Dr. Erving's raised voice and sulky attitude set the tone for a distressing experience. Despite the urgency of my broken tooth. Subsequent visits only added to my dismay. Dr. Erving's incompetence led to the unnecessary loss of my tooth, and Dr. Keith's shocking recommendation to extract and implant simultaneously while the wound is open left me speechless. What's more, not even a single X-ray was taken during any of my three visits to properly evaluate the condition. To make matters worse, the dismissive response from the practice manager, Paratiksha, only served to compound my frustration. Despite my attempts to address my concerns, she failed to acknowledge the gravity of the situation and simply forwarded Dr. Erving's inadequate responses. The lack of professionalism and disregard for patient well-being at Lumino Dentists is absolutely appalling. I strongly advise against seeking dental treatment at this clinic. The negligent practices and misguided advice provided are a clear indication of the clinic's incompetence. Spare yourself the trauma and seek dental care elsewhere.

Negative experience: Have been with Lumino for 3 years and have had generally good experience with the hygienists and dentists but something has changed last year and the admin is poor and commitment to patients are not kept.

Negative experience: I saw Robert for a routine check and some sensitivity issues. The whole appointment took no more than 5 mins. Missed two tooth decay on wisdom teeth, which almost every dentists that I have seen would tell me. Not even asked if I wish to do an X-ray. Don’t even know if there are other issues given the obvious decay he has not spotted!

Fantastic experience: Annabel on reception has given exceptional service over the years and my new Oral Heath Therapist Latoya is the most kind and professional ever.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever - with Dr Amanda Hawkins who I had an appointment with at the end of her working day (a big, huge mistake). Lack of attention, started drilling without prior examination and left no option but extraction after drilling out a good half of the tooth (forget about the right to seek for the second opinion). Instead of advising about postoperative care, just handed an envelope with a printout and said “ read how to look after the socket”. Took her a week to respond to a complaint, totally ignored the fact I had fever and needed a postoperative check (hence, went to another clinic for an emergency appointment in the weekend). Never thought such negligence is possible in a clinic like this. Interestingly, my colleagues who raised concerns about my experience and the way procedure was carried out had more positive experiences with the other doctors in the clinic. So might be a bad luck. But definitely not recommending Dr Hawkins to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Keith Harper is an exceptional dentist. He is thorough, attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. Keith has a warm presence that instantly puts you at ease and fosters trust. I know that my smile is in the best hands each visit!! Thank you so much Keith!

Fantastic experience: I had another appointment today. The dentists here and the staff are the reason why i keep coming hack here for treatments. I was with Dr. Tiger today and he was quick and effecient with his treatment. 10/10 would recommend this place.

My wife had to go in for an emergency root canal procedure the whole experience was wonderful from the call to the customer service representative to book the appointment to the reception team and the dentist himself and his assistant. Adrian looked after her. He and his assistant were extremely kind and professional. He gave us a thorough breakdown of the cost, explained every step of the process before and during the procedure. She was comfortable throughout. I would definitely recommend this team, best dental experience I've seen.

Fantastic experience: I had to go through a few dentists to find him! Preetesh is the best cosmetic dentist I have had by far. Four crowns and two bridges later, my smile Is the best it’s ever been. Very grateful for the recommendation.

Negative experience: Went to these dentists to get a reference for dental surgery before I left the country three months later (and told them this). Despite three follow ups and assurances it never came, and now I am not in the country... Not very happy!

Fantastic experience: Legit the best dentist in the WORLD. The lobby is beautiful, the staff are super friendly and the dentist I saw was not only knowledgeable af, but he knew how to communicate his expertise well. The equipment they have is mad, the screen on the roof shows you everything from your x-rays immediately to a camera they put in your mouth so you can see your own teeth... gross. They are booked out months in advance for a reason. 10/10 recommended.

Fantastic experience: I visited this dental for the first time. I was seen by Dr Preetesh Parsotam. I am glad that he was my wife's and my dentist. He greeted us with a big smile, was very attentive, polite and talked through the procedures step by step. As my wife is quite scared of dentists, he was very careful and talked through, checking on every step of the way. He answered our questions and gave us advice where sought. His assistant Gaby was very polite too. The front desk team members are helpful and polite. They have good plans which can be bought making payments in installments. Other payment options are also available. Highly recommend them especially Dr Preetesh Parsotam and his team

Positive experience: The dentists are good and so are the Hygienists. But the Admin staff is poor, I had a dental plan that auto renews and the one that renewed in 2019, I had asked for receipts as I needed those for Insurance claim. I never got them, even after several emails. really bad service.

Negative experience: I have happily used lumino for over 3 years now, but on this instance had to wait more than 30 minutes for an appointment with a substitute dentist, after completing another 30 minute review the new dentist I was told to come back and see my original dentist. Very unexpected from a professional service provider. Wasted a good part of my day with no outcome. 1/5

Fantastic experience: The team at Auckland Central are fantastic. Going to the dentist is not my favourite activity by a long shot and as a consequence I left it 5 years between visits, only rocking up when I had that terrible sinking feeling I could not ignore my toothache any longer. Was pleasantly surprised to find them caring and non-judgemental throughout the process. The team on reception recommended an appropriate dentist for my needs and found me a space at short notice. Dr Michael was fabulous, it wasn't a straightforward problem and his schedule was packed but he took the time to investigate thoroughly and thoughtfully even though it is probably obvious I haven't looked after my teeth as I should have. I returned for a hygienist the following week and Manel did a fantastic job not only with the clean itself which was gentle and thorough but also explaining the process of mouth hygiene and giving me some great tips and tricks. Also the practice is so modern it's almost like being inside a spaceship Cannot recommend this team more highly. Ka pai

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience with the team at Lumino Auckland Central! I hadn't been to the dentist in 6 years (previous traumatic experience at a different dentist) and they completely changed my view and experience for the better. Preetesh extracted my last wisdom tooth under local anesthetic with no negative side-effects. And Katie managed to get my gums and oral hygiene back on track (I was almost referred to a gum specialist due to the state they were in before I saw her). 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Haven't been to dentist in 8 years & I found Lumino Central to be very professional. Impressed with their procedures & how everything was explained thoroughly after examination & x-rays. Following that, I saw the hygienist who was aware of my tension and made sure that she was gentle while ensuring my teeth were sparkling by the time I left. Definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Extremely unhappy. I had an appointment to clean my teeth today. They charged me 180$ and can only cleaned the bottom. They suggest me to come back to do the top and expect me to pay another 180$. 360$ total just for cleaning teeth. What a rip-off. Never come back.

Fantastic experience: I don't typically leave reviews for dentists i've used in the past, and prior to signing up at this Lumino branch never really thought about having a regular dentist like I do my GP - but that all changed when I came here. The plan on offer is excellent value for money, and the staff are so incredibly friendly. The folks here certainly do their best to make each visit as pleasant as humanly possible and in my case, every visit has been a pleasure :) I can't recommend them enough!

Negative experience: my old dentist retired and this lumino is close to me and open on saturdays, i booked with Natalie Revell after going through her profile on their website. the place is not the easiest to find.to my surprise she looks much younger than her profile photo. the exam wasnt as expensive as i thought,which is a bonus,my exam included xrays as well, the exam was quite straight forward, she provided a list of things that need to be done with pricing. one thing i am not too sure about is she poked into my front healthy gum 3-4 times at different spots with a needle, didnt warn me it might sting and never explained what it was for, she promoted gum hygiene visits straight after.i have never had my gum poked with needle during my previous dental exams with other dentists and parts of my gum still feels tender and red after 2days from the needle. i had to rinse my mouth with salt water in case it gets infected(i am hoping thats not her intention).service is average.the impression i got was that she tried hard to get something done on my tooth.will probabaly go back to the old practice where my retired dentist used to work and avoid places in the city.

Fantastic experience: This was the first time I’ve been to Lumino in the city and I went for Katie, having had her as my hygienist for a while now she always takes great care of my teeth, is gentle and very thourough. I won’t see anyone else now.

Fantastic experience: Great service!

Negative experience: I went there in Aug 2017 and I was told that I need root canal treatment to a tooth which I actually didn't have any problems with. They charged me more than $200 for only X-rays and told me that root canal treatment and filling will cost about $2400. A month later, I went to another dentist and found out I actually need root canal treatment to another tooth. I asked 3 other dentists for quote. The cheapest one is $900 for root canal treatment and filling. I would never go to Lumino again.

Negative experience: Not impressed I went there and booked for their deal and after being examined by the dentist I was told I had periodontist (gum disease) and he said I will never be able to get rid of it and tried to say they can't offer me the deal because of this. I was very confused and distressed he wasn't empathetic at all if anything rather rude. After going elsewhere for a second opinion I was told that I don't have periodontist at all to my relief. I would not recommend lumino or that dentist at all!!!

Fantastic experience: Being one of those people who put off going to the Dentist for years until it was unavoidable, I have to say, the staff at Lumino were awesome. Made everything nice and easy. My dentist, Dr Erving Cheng, was amazing. Talked me through everything that needed to be done, and got to work straight away. Several cleanings and a few fillings later, my teeth feel awesome. One thing I can definitely tell you, I hate injections, absolutely hate them. But, during the injections here, I barely felt it, hurt a lot less than other dentists I've been to, and having them constantly check on you throughout each procedure is great. Highly recommend going here.

Fantastic experience: They are probably not the cheapest in Auckland but they are very good, professional and helpful! You always get the best treatment with the latest technology available.
