Fantastic experience: Went in for a partially broken tooth and saw Harriet. She had it all cleaned up with a new filling in under an hour from the time I walked in the door. Patiently explained every step of the process to me with words that were easy to understand, and a 100% pain-free procedure! I've already booked myself for a follow-up clean and checkup, and I feel confident that I've found someone I can trust to be my regular dentist in the future!

Fantastic experience: I needed fairly urgent care while passing through Dunedin while on a business trip, and not only did I get an appointment already for the following day, but I also experienced what I would describe as the most pleasant visit to a dentist's in a very long time. Dr Claudia Huang was very professional and caring, very gentle too. If I lived in Dunedin, I would definitely try to make this my regular dental practice. I never thought I would say this to a dentist, but "hope to be back one day".

The ladies at the reception are kind and friendly. I have now had a couple of appointments with Kerri. She is fantastic at explaining not only what she is doing but why she's doing it and what has caused the issue. Excellent advice on oral care going forward. She does a great and through job.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Bell Hill Dental helped me enormously. I had a crown fall off a tooth whilst on a cruise. I contacted them on a Saturday and by Monday I was able to organise an appointment with them for the next day to have my crown restored. A friendly welcome and great service and treatment. Fantastic experience: Was on a bit of a time crunch to have a couple of teeth extracted for orthodontic treatment to start for my child. Bell Hill squeezed her in before they closed before Christmas which I was really appreciative of. Ally and co are so lovely and ensured my 15 year old understood what was happening and what to expect. And the cherry on top was that it cost less than I’d anticipated which is always good!

Fantastic experience: As life long Dentist dodger, only seeking help for absolute emergencies I am thrilled to have found a dentist who understands, listens and has treated me and my extreme fear with respect and understanding. Just had a major tooth repair and survived easily. Even rebooked to get other issues addressed. That is a major step for me, and a huge testimony to the fabulous care given by the whole Bell Hill Dental Team. They are REALLY great.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Bell Hill Dental to anyone looking for tongue tie procedures for their babies in Dunedin. Dr Ally and her team are amazing and made me feel at ease when taking my son in to get his tongue tie fixed. This was an anxious time for me as it wasn’t picked up until he was over 4 months and the team at Bell Hill were so quick and efficient. They made the booking of the appointment and the procedure itself super easy and stress free which was a massive relief. I felt supported and cared for whilst being in the practice and had such a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: A tooth broke this morning. I phoned Bell Hill Dental at 11:10 a.m. asking for an appointment. They could fit me in at 11:30 a.m. I sped on my bike 3 km to the building, arriving at 11:28, puffing slightly. Was in the dentist's chair at 11:30. Agreed on treatment and was out at 11:50. Great service, as always!

Fantastic experience: I have had a lot of dental work done in the US, Australia and NZ. Bell Hill Dental is BY FAR the best dental practice I have ever patronised. I am never nervous when I go there because I know they will take such good care of me. Every single person working there (that I have had contact with) is friendly and caring. I have never had a long wait there. They have these special touches (like their dental philosophy on their website, the very cool 'first patient' care package, a relaxed family atmosphere) that you just don't get in other dental clinics. They really have "that special something" going on. You can tell they actually care about their patients, and their priority is always to patient care, not the money they bring in. I almost hesitate to recommend them, because I don't want them to get so busy that I am unable to get an appointment, but they really do deserve all the accolades. I cannot speak highly enough about my dentist Elaine, whose sparkling personality puts you at ease straight away, and her lovely assistant Jill is so sweet and friendly, I just adore them both. I love that Elaine asks me if I have any questions after my appointment and just doesn't kick me out the door so she can attend to her next patient. At my first appt she gave me a comprehensive dental plan and broke everything down in order of importance and put all the fees in plain sight. No other dentist I know does that! Special shout out to my hygienist, Libby, who not only has a heart of gold but also really knows her stuff and does an amazing job cleaning my teeth and making sure it is not too painful for me. Also special shout out to the AWESOME reception team - they are all friendly and funny and so easy to talk to, you just know they were specially hand-picked for the job because of their amazing personalities. I am so thankful to all of you for your kindness and special care. WELL DONE, TEAM.

Fantastic experience: So there we are quietly having breakfast, all of a sudden a cry from my wife, she is now holding a crown that has become detached. We are on our first visit to New Zealand, and obviously know very few people, including dentists. I called Bell Hill dental. A very charming lady was empathetic to our problem, and the next thing I know is that we have a 12 o’clock appointment. We are both so grateful for the professional and caring way this was dealt with. Problem solved, crown returned to its proper place and we are on our way. Fantastic experience: For the second time in 6 months I phoned Bell Hill Dental at 8.31am on a Monday morning in tooth agony. By midday I was back home and agony free. Without sounding Mills & Boon about it, if you want a good dentist, this is the best I've been to (and I've only got one tooth left). Joking aside, the dentist is a frightful experience but at Bell Hill its not too bad, from the minute you walk through the door to meet the friendly reception to the minute you are lying vulnerable next to 'the drill'. It was a genuinely pain-free experience and I'm going back.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at this practice since 1991 and cannot rate them highly enough. The whole team are friendly and professional and I returned to see them for annual visits even after I moved to Australia for several years. Nicky has been my hygienist for most of this time and Elaine my dentist. The gentle way she administers both injections and dental care is exemplary. I thoroughly recommend this practice to anyone in Dunedin looking for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this team highly enough. Elaine and Jilly have looked after me superbly well for many years and I have absolutely no hestitation in recommending. The last year has been exceptional following my falling (aka face planting) on my way to a routine 15min check up. The concern and care provided from the moment I arrived (bloody and dazed) was amazing. Repairing the damage to my lip and tooth took 90+ minutes resulting in disruption to following appointments and patients (ie major upheaval) - but as the patient, I was prioritised and taken care of with compassion and expertise. The trauma from my fall could have resulted in obvious scarring but, thanks to Elaine, is invisible and I am very grateful.

Elaine and her team put me at ease and the numbness meant I did not feel a thing! She was very professional and explained everything that was happening as she was doing the procedure. Fantastic experience: I have had the best experience ever with Bell Hill Dental. I had to get my top wisdom teeth taken out and was absolutely petrified of it. Ally and the team made me feel comfortable and talked me through it all. Explained it'll be quick and easy. And guess what? It was! Quick, easy and wasn't painful at all. Have had a very quick recovery and I can't thank the team enough for being supportive of me and understanding that I was scared and making me feel at ease!

Negative experience: I went in for a checkup and the dentist checked me over then told me he didn't have time for a full check up and charged me $70 for a "consultation" and I had to book another check up for $180 then if I needed work done another appointment.
