Fantastic experience: I was recently referred to Dr Fleur for a crown on one of my front teeth, a procedure I’d been putting off for years!!! Fleur’s attention to detail is absolutely incredible. She took the time to get everything just right, and the results speak for themselves. It's given me the confidence to smile again. What really made me happy was how natural the crown looks. My husband couldn’t even tell which tooth was restored vs the natural tooth next to it. Fleur is not only highly skilled, but also kind, reassuring, and clearly passionate about what she does. I couldn’t be happier and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for top-quality dental care. I would also add that the whole team from reception to dental assistants have been super approachable, professional and helpful the whole way through.

Fantastic experience: Lumino Como street has a tight knit professional team, with Monique and Karen who kindly greet you at the reception and highly trained dentists on aesthetics like Invisalign, braces and veeners/cosmetic work. The smile transformation is amazing! They are also very patient with children who need orthodontics. The hygiene team works closely with the dentists, and is very thorough and professional!

Fantastic experience: I rang to get an urgent appointment for my child. The staff listened patiently on the phone as I told them my concerns and gave me an appointment for the next day. The dentist was so kind and gentle with my child, putting them completely at ease. They had been very nervous about the appointment beforehand. After an examination of the teeth we were given thorough instructions on how to make sure the issue didn’t happen again. Also given pre warning that there is an overbite so will need braces in the future. Thanks to that we are now saving for that so it’s not a big expense when it does need to be done. Absolutely brilliant idea experience and we have decided to make this our regular dentist.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Como St Lumino Dentists starts the minute I walk through the doors when I'm greeted by the incredible Reception team of Karen & Monique. Every time I come for an appt I'm greeted with a smile, they ask me how I am, what I've been up to. They use my name each time. Karen & Monique are possibly the most important members of this Lumino team as I start to automatically relax from that moment in reception which for me is quite difficult as I've always found going to the dentist in the past a very scary experience. Teena is my Hygenist. I see Teena 3-4 times a year. I really respect & admire her. She's the ultimate professional, so gd at what she does. She has had a difficult job with me since I first arrived at Lumino. I flinched with every thing she did because of my fear and my difficulty with relaxing throughout treatment but at each appt she would be so patient with me, talk me through what she was doing. She was always quick to check that I was OK or if I needed anything. I'm so greatful to her for her patience,tolerance and understanding. I have never before had that treatment with other Hygenists I've been with in the past. If your looking for a Hygenist, you don't need to look any further I would most certainly recommend Teena. If however it is a Dentist your looking for then you need go no further than Daniel. I have recommended Daniel to many people. He is im sure the best Dentist out there. Not only is he amazing in what he has done to restore my teeth after decades of bad treatment, Daniel has one of the most compassionate and gentle nature's of anyone I have ever met. I feel instantly relaxed around him. Again something of a necessity to a dental phob like myself. Daniel always has a smile to offer and hes got a gd ear as well. You will find yourself feeling immediately at peace in his presence.Im so lucky to have found Daniel. The difference his technical skills have had on my teeth is astounding. Im so very thankfull to him.This team at Luminos is perhaps the best I have ever come across. If your like me and have alot of fears in going to a Dentist then I can assure you that the treatment you get here will be like none other. Not only will you get THE BEST Dental treatment here but you will be treated with respect no matter who you are or where you have come from. They will listen to you, treat you with care & compassion. They are also so friendly and welcoming that visiting is pleasurable rather than a necessity for good oral health. Their communication as to what treatment is required and the organisation of appointments is exemplary.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with the Takapuna Como Street Lumino for the last two years. Monique and Karen at reception are always so nice and friendly, accommodating if I need to re schedule appointments due to my work. My dentist Dr Fleur Woolford has been my Invisalign angel! She didn’t give up on my teeth and helped to fix mistakes that other dentist made (I started Invisalign with other dentist). Dr Woolford has a great eye and is a warm and lovely person to work with. Also my hygienist Teena Olsen-Smith is amazing. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Even though I haven’t lived on the North Shore for a few years now, I still have all my dental work done at Lumino Como Street. This is because they have the best team around and explain things clearly and calmly. Special thanks to Nada for helping me get back on track, best Oral Health Therapist I’ve had!

Negative experience: I normally go to Lumino Dentists Birkenhead but we came to Como Street to see Teena for my teen who had a toothache. Teena handled my teen wonderfully - thank you for reading my pre-appointment notes. I called back the next day to ask for a copy of the the dentist's notes/referral to an oral surgeon to apply for insurance pre-approval. The receptionist was rude, curt and unhelpful. She told me they had no notes of the visit. All she wanted to do was to dismiss me/palm me off which I find very distressful as my teen (who struggles with mental health) is in extreme pain and I just wanted to get the insurance organised. She was not emphathetic to my situation and slammed the phone on me. In these times, the customer experience is of paramount importance and this experience was inconsistent with Lumino's tagline "Love Your Work". Postscript. I wish to add that I did eventually get the dentist's notes which were emailed to me (but it went to my spam so I didn't see it till 2 days later). Teena also graciously called me to apologise for what happened and I appreciate that. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I have just had some dental work done at Lumino Takapuna, and I’ve also supported a friend getting work done at Lumino Birkenhead. Both practices have been seriously good. The systems a good, nice environments, they do great work, and most importantly the people are awesome. They bring a lot of care and humanity to their work. Naming names… Dan from Como Street, Ka mau te wehi!! Just a high-quality human being, you can feel it as soon as you meet him. Mike from Hinemoa Street Birkenhead, A caring, thoughtful and generous man. These men are not turning up to a job each day, they are clearly answering a calling. They are healers. They wrap their knowledge and technical expertise in warm hearted holistic healing intentionality. Making the world a better place one patient at a time. Huge Respect! One last thing… hopefully I can attach a photo to this review, because you won’t believe the view from Dan’s chair!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing hygiene clean with Nada Fatouhi. She helps me set up the plan to improve my conditions. Every one in the clinic is very nice and helpful.

Negative experience: I phoned up on Wednesday evening as I was experiencing toothache, was hoping to get an appointment for the follow up. The receptionist was so inpatient and rude ( don’t know her name, as she answered the phone with a rude tone of HELLO) I had my hesitation to proceed with the appointment but I needed it given the pain I was experiencing. Later on, a friend had recommended her clinic (Kumeu Dental ) to me— HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Amazing customer service there. Please speak with your receptionist, as some kindness and basic customer service would go a long way for someone who’s anxious about going to the dentist. I felt nothing but anxiety after making that appointment , which I will now be cancelling!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Parham and his dental assistant, Phoebe. I recently had all four of my wisdom teeth removed and a filling done, and both experiences were very smooth and positive. Dr. Parham is a highly skilled and experienced dentist. He is also very friendly and compassionate, and he takes the time to explain each procedure in detail and answer any questions you may have. He also makes sure that you are comfortable throughout the entire process. Phoebe is also excellent at her job. She is very friendly and helpful, and she always makes me feel at ease. She also does a great job of assisting Dr. Parham with procedures. Overall, I am very impressed with Dr. Parham and Phoebe. They are both highly professional and provide excellent dental care. Fantastic experience: I've been a patient of Fleur Woolford for five years and in this time have undergone orthodontic treatment with truly amazing results. Recently, I had an unfortunate accident that left me with chipped front teeth, but Fleur worked her magic and repaired them flawlessly. Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of Jake Innes creating my new dentures. We fitted them last week and I am absolutely delighted with how he has sculpted them to fit my face and with how I interact with the world. As well as being highly skilled practically and technically, Jake is a true artist and puts everything into his work. Dentures are a very important part of our health and our lives. Negative experience: This dentist is NOT wheelchair friendly!! Even though I measured the chair & told them that my leg brace was on full lock & extension, they said "Yes yes, we have SUPER WIDE ACCESS", none of their examination room doorways are wider than a standard frame!! :'( I guess the receptionist thought that I was coming to sit in the waiting room for a chat??? Under duress I was given an Xray in the hallway & just a clean out of the tooth & plug. I was told that ACC wouldn't accept my accident related dental work required without the Xray, but not to worry about any costs for that initial treatment. I guess that I assumed it was their apology for misleading me & getting me HOOKED into their overpriced treatment. Unethically, without presenting me with ANY INVOICE, they've apparently taken the $360.00 credit I still had & this was ALL for the initial ACC related treatment. This dental practice is unethical, they are in breach of the Fair Trading Act & Consumer Guarantee Acts, and also the Code of Rights for Health & Disability Consumer Rights. Lumino the Dentist, Como Street have been dishonest, have hidden their charges from me & given me an examination more than FIVE TIMES DEARER than any other dental practice that I have ever been to!! BEWARE!! Don't come to this dental practice by choice. They give Lumino The Dentist a REALLY BAD name & reputation!!! :'( WARNING WARNING WARNING, go anywhere else if you have the choice!!! :'(

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience here seeing Fleur. I have always been self conscious of my teeth and she has absolutely transformed my smile with her talent with veneers. It was a long process but she explained every step of the way and answered my million questions making it such an easy and comfortable process. So happy and couldn't recommend more!

Negative experience: Disappointed after attending appointment today for 2 people. Called prior to appointment to book consultation for a quote, as the woman on the phone said there would be no charge for the 2 appointments on same day. Only to be told as leaving that we both had to pay $69 each and nobody could come forward who said it was free on the phone. False advertising we feel ripped off and lied to as we were pressured into a appointment without any knowledge there was a charge.

Negative experience: Phoned asked for a Winz Quote told on the phone it was FREE, Went in first thing, they asked us to sit down for xrays, we assumed this was part quoting the work, that would be needed. $138 to be told I have gum disease which I already said it was the reason for my visit in the first place. I would of spoke up if I wasn't supporting someone who is scared of the dentist.

Negative experience: Terrible communication with patients, been there three times and every time I had to wait for half an hour despite Luminos contacting me three times before each appointment to ensure I knew my appointed time. The first time as a new patient I was offered deal of full exam with pictures a a general check up. Well all I got was a very quick check with no photos. They did apologize when I complained and offered another complete check free of charge but it left me dissatisfied. Not going back...

Negative experience: Unfortunately I didn't have the best experience. I went in, in a lot pain and got a filling.. I came out with the worst filling! he manged to shape the top of it into a tooth shape but left a massive ridge on one side from where his tool was and the other side of my tooth is a random bit of the filling that must have escaped so it is now rough.. and not to mention the pain the still occurs when I eat or drink? With those prices I expected better
