Negative experience: I had previously left a review for this practice, but after making some edits, the entire review somehow got deleted. However, I’d like to respond to the owner's comment as below. My initial visit was fine, which led me to refer someone else for treatment due to a root issue. Unfortunately, that experience was quite disappointing. The dentist suggested that the only solution was to remove the tooth, and when we hesitated, their response was frustratingly dismissive. Seeking a second opinion, we went to another dentist who recommended multiple root canal treatments, ultimately saving and fully repairing the tooth. Given how I was treated, I’m reluctant to disclose my full legal name or contact the practice directly, but the dentist may most likely remember who we are based on the experience I just described above.

Fantastic experience: I was over from Australia to see family in NZ and unfortunately my wisdom tooth decided to not be so wise anymore. I saw Sam and wow, he is amazing, he squeezed me in for an extraction and he was so caring, funny and excellent communication throughout, I have never felt so at ease with a dentist in my whole life, Sam is exceptional. Thank you Sam :)

Fantastic experience: Sam is the real deal. He facilitated a tooth crown implant like it was a walk in the park. Professional in every aspect, caring and very competent. His communication and knowledge is outstanding and keeps you aware of every step in the procedure.

Fantastic experience: This dentist is fantastic, constantly giving updates as the procedure goes on, gives clear and understandable options. Went in for an extraction of a cracked molar, and had the situation clearly explained to me. It's day 7 and i had 0 pain during recovery and only took painkillers after the procedure in anticipation of pain due to a molar extraction, I've had a few teeth extracted and this is the first time I've had no pain during recovery.

Fantastic experience: Great service here and very reasonably priced. They saved my right before x-mas last year with an emergency removal, and it was a difficult tooth. Didn't feel a thing. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist! I recently moved to the Northshore for university and didn't know of any dentists in the area and after being recommended this place by one of the university staff I booked in. I am usually very scared of dental work and needles so opted to go with IV sedation. Everything went great and I would absolutely recommend everyone to come here. The staff were all so lovely and explained everything to me in an easy to understand way.

Negative experience: You are not even worth 1 star your attitude is most disgusting in my 38 years worst Dr I've ever seen very disappointed

Dentist Sam listened to my dental issue, explained well what could be happening and carried out proposed treatment. Immaculately clean and tidy dental suite. Easy car parking outside the door. Easy to find on Google maps.

Fantastic experience: After going to the same dentist for the past 40 years, finding a new one is pretty hard, but Sam is the man! After reading the reviews and being a big wimp with needles, I can honestly say when I got some fillings repaired I never felt the needle, amazing. The place is light and bright and has a real nice feeling about it and Sam's communication throughout the procedures is great. Highly recommend Sam and his team.

Negative experience: I visited Sam some years ago and he did his job. These days I felt some pain then went to 2 doctors in my city Jeddah, they both asked me where and who did this work. They both agreed that the doctor "Sam" was dishonest. Now, I have to fix what he did, it'll be so expensive. IT IS SHAME ON YOU.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many dentists. If you are anxious about the cost and the quality of service then he is the perfect choice. He ensured I felt no pain and he went above and beyond to ensure perfection in his craft. He repaired mistakes that previous dentist had caused. The reason for these mistakes were simple - they did not take the time to do it perfectly. If you are after a general clean, fillings or teeth whitening like I was, then go see Sam. Best dentist I have ever had.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sam is awesome - friendly, conscientious & very capable. I needed a crown re-cemented urgently & he fitted me in the next day. re-cementing a crown can be quite straightforward but i was super impressed at how careful & conscientious he was about ensuring that he replaced it in exactly the right position. He was thoughtful enough to talk me through everything he was doing so I felt very reassured & understood why it had come loose in the first place. He did such a good job my bite was exactly the same as before. I've had several crowns replaced & they have always needed to adjust the bite. Dr Sam did such a good job he put the crown back on exactly was it was before - no adjustments needed. I would highly recommend him as a dentist, I'm very grateful that I got my crown replaced so skillfully.

Fantastic experience: It's not just about skillful the dentist is that matters, it's what they're like as a person too. You expect your dentist to be competent and not hurting you, but are they friendly, nice to be with, or just cold and efficient. It really helps to get that little bit of human contact, to have a laugh together perhaps...and go away feeling good...which I certainly haven't had with many dentists, but visiting Albany Village Dental is such a great experience Sam was recommended to me by friend. Far away from my place, it has been worth the travel time. Sam provide an extremely high standard of dental treatment and care. Everything went smoothly and he explained every stage of the treatment in detail and treated me with the utmost care and consideration. I have been very happy with this treatment and he’s the best and most helpful dentist I have ever met. All in all, I could almost say I 'enjoy' going to the dentist!
