Positive experience: I don't recommend. Had a brief and cursory dental exam followed by 30+ minutes of the most painful dental hygiene procedure I've ever had. Then quoted 790 for 2 basic fillings. It'll cost more for check ups and follow up but 2 days later I'm still in a lot of pain and heading back to Lumino

Fantastic experience: Irin has been my dentist and I couldn't recommend her more - she is kind and understanding when treating patients and is great at recommending different approaches to treatment based on what would be most efficient/comfortable. My extraction recovery has been much better compared to my previous dentist, would not go to anyone else!

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience, total professionalism. I am a very nervous dental patient with a sordid history.. but was put at ease. Dr Tan did an extraction, bone graft & implant prep. They saw me quickly within a couple of weeks where as my previous dentist advised it would be a 3 month wait to see a surgeon. After some months of discomfort i didn't want to wait so thought i would try elsewhere on a recommendation and i am so glad i did. Final cost incl crown is also $2.5k less that what my prior dentist advised me it would be. Very happy & totally recommend.

Negative experience: UPDATE: had a call from the team and after my constructive criticism I have been told that none of the dentists want to see me anymore - fair enough. The second appointment was for a medical emergency as I stated in my initial post. Appreciate the reply and hopefully this constructive criticism is taken on board without having to ban those who need a dental emergency addressed. I had an initial consultation for a look at my wisdom teeth as I felt some pain in that area. 5 minutes and $105 dollars later it was concluded that apparently the pain was not tooth related. Well as you might expect the pain continued and a week later I actually did have to have all wisdom teeth removed ASAP from another dentist who used the available consult time to gather information to determine that a surgical opinion was needed and promptly referred me to get it removed by an Oral Surgeon. I would strongly suggest that there are cheaper alternatives and more proficient dentists around who do use the available appointment time to get an accurate history and diagnosis if it is not a medical emergency.

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely fantastic experience with the dentists Tristan and Irin, and dental hygienist Mika! They truly exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch dental care.

Positive experience: Hi, I did tooth extraction on Christmas,good service and professional treatment.only one thing I feel a little bit confused is price of bone grafting after tooth extraction, I was charged $1600 for bone grafting, a few months later, someone told me some dentist only charge $300-$400 for bone grafting, maybe there are different kind of bone grafting, otherwise everything is perfect from dentist.(Thanks for your explanation , now I understand the reason of the cost)

Fantastic experience: The women were so kind and helpful, dentists are really hard for me being on the spectrum. But everything I needed to feel comfortable was found there. A dental practice I wish I could carry in my pocket.

Fantastic experience: used Dent1st Glenfield 3rd Jan 2024. broke a tooth New Years Eve. Irin Kang. immediately put me at ease due to suffering nasal drip anxiety of visiting an unknown dentist. procedure involved cost and choices well explained prior to treatment. As Irin was working on my tooth she talked me through every stage and kept re assuring me, surprisingly it was a pleasurable experience if one can have pleasure going to a dentist. I highly recommend Irin Kang.

Fantastic experience: my usual dentist Alan had left this branch . they offered me another dentist who was just as good . I believe her name was Jocelyn . I most certianly recommend this dental practice indeed . They most certainly give great care and value to their customers

Fantastic experience: Have been recommended this dentist by quite a few people. I have put off going to the dentist for literally years, living in pain on and off, scared of what getting it fixed would entail. I saw Ajay, who fully explained everything, walked me through the ins and out of what needed to happen and why. I felt comfortable and safe at all times and fully aware of the cost. No surprises and no drama. I will be making them my regular dentist and won't be leaving it years this time. I can't thank you enough.

Fantastic experience: Dr Adrian Tan and his team have been our family dentists for over 17 years. We would not trust anyone else. One of our children had orthodontic treatment and the results are outstanding. Dr Adrian was firm and fair and ensured our son took excellent care of his teeth so they werent ruined by the time they got straightened. This is not an easy message to get through to young teenagers. Dr Laura is amazing with small children. Another of our children is dentist phobic (like her mother!) and Laura befriended her and earned her trust with the skills of a hospital play specialist. It was so reassuring to see Laura go the extra mile. Dr Adrian is consistently working to ensure a highly professional environment which leaves us knowing we are in the hands of skilled and experienced dentists and a team who make an effort to get to know us and give us the best possible dental service. Give them a try - your smile will thank you.

Fantastic experience: After breaking my tooth yesterday while eating some hard food. I was not only in pain but knew being in level 3 it was going to be difficult to get an appt with a Dentist and as it was a Friday I didn’t want to have a broken tooth all weekend. However after a call to Adrian Tan and his team who were friendly and helpful, I was not only able to get an appointment but he was able to see me straight away. The professionalism of Adrian and his team was outstanding and they made me feel comfortable and relaxed and after an hour or so my tooth was not only fixed but he did an AMAZING job that I am grateful for. I would highly recommend Adrian Tan and his team for all aspects of dental work 10/10

Fantastic experience: Really, really happy with the treatment and care, very professional, very informative and they even follow up and check in how you're going. I originally went to another dentist that came highly recommended but they wasted my time. At this dentist they listened to what I wanted and they made it happen with no fuss. The pricing was fair and reasonable, good value compared to the others, because I actually got what I wanted instead of paying for a bunch of extras that I didn't need. From the reception, to the hygienist to the doctor/dentist, great care and I highly recommend Dent1st.

Fantastic experience: I turned up with a broken tooth and extremely nervous, my own dentist being unavailable. I was immediately put at ease by Sienna and her professional, pleasant manner and clear explanation of how to proceed. An appointment was found for me and within 2 hours I was happily walking out with a crown. I highly recommend this dental practice and would definitely go back.

Fantastic experience: Dr Irin and the Dent1st team are absolutely amazing and I can't speak highly enough of them. I had a traumatic car accident while on my way to my dentist appointment and it took me three years to be able to pick up the courage to come back. The entire team who I have seen since then have just been so amazing in making me feel safe and calm. Everyone has made the experience so pleasant and I really appreciate the care from them. I no longer feel anxious making appointments and look forward to coming in...so thank you from the whole of my heart for helping me overcome this. Keep up the great work team. Highly recommend

Negative experience: The worst service starting from unfriendly and erogant reseptionist - no greeting, no eye contact at the beginning of conversation , no smile, no any interest or sighn of emphaty ( or pretending to be nice and helpful). So she could just say - sorry we are not able to help your kid with removing his nearly coming out tooth to calm his down becouse we are not interested to help community with this things. Nooo-no-no, she started to offer me a consultation for around 100$ (I was agree on this price and option to help us with the tooth, but this consultation was offered with no help yeat - just to look at the baby tooth), after she told it probably will be a few x-rays for another few houndreds (she hasn't looked at my child's tooth actually, so it was her fantasy around the theme), and any help with extrusion of baby tooth starting from $300. It didn't look like a help, it looks like a flout. It was fine for me to pay for the dentist help to my child to pass fear and get rid the pain but I didn't feel like I was offered any. so this place is not child friendly, no family oriented or helpfull to the community. In our private dental clinic we removed 2 previous baby tooth for 5 min and $60. this time it was more urgent and I was looking for options around. this place was the worse one in case of servise and atitude.

Fantastic experience: I came in today with a really bad toothache and was extremely nervous as the dentist gives me quite a lot of anxiety, Sienna and Preeti were so nice and made me feel so comfortable. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Disappointed with Hygienist. Gritty paste smeared on my teeth and not polished off. I left with a gritty substance in my mouth that took several rinses to get rid of. Thank you Britaker.

Negative experience: Lookout for dodgy charging practices and poor customer billing practices! We visited this dentist for the first time because my son had accidental tooth damage. The dentist and the team were lovely. We checked at the counter for payment and were advised there was none because he was a child and it was covered by ACC. Fast forward 4 months and we get a text message threatening us with debt collectors and extra charges for an unpaid bill. Apparently we didn't see an email that was sent out two weeks after we left the office. No problem with paying a small co-pay if thats the rules, but would have been a lot easier when I came to the counter and asked if there was a bill, and maybe if your customer doesn't reply to the first email you should call or text to see if they have seen it rather than jumping straight to threatening debt collection agencies. A great clinical team let down by appalling administration. :(

Negative experience: I was referred by my usual dentist to Dent1st for CT xrays of my upper and lower jaw. I was asked to fill in a form resembling that for an insurance medical. I said that I was only having xrays and no treatment so that the information they wanted from me was much more than necessary. The ultimatum was that if I didn't fill out the form, the xrays would not be done. The next practice I went to did the xrays without the intrusive questionnaire.

Negative experience: The dentist was very disappointing. This is the first time visiting the place and might be the last too. The lady dentist Irin K was friendly when first approached but as soon as she found out that this appointment is not going to get her earn big money, her attitude changed completely. She was very impatient and unfriendly with my child and keeps name tagging and talking down to my child when the child is a bit anxious. The receptionist were lovely to talk with and booked me in as free consultation which I did not even know about, but in the end the dentist kept on telling me off as if it's my fault to book in as free consultation. Definitely not a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Second visit, always prompt, fast scheduling, even willing to see us even bit outside working hours, excellent doctors, great with kids.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't speak more highly of Sienna and the team of nurses and other dentists who work at Dent1st. Sienna worked so well with my 4 year old son who needed surprise dental work at the time. She made him feel safe, reassured and comfortable. The whole experience was a positive one. Dent1st also helped my father Morgan and he was thrilled with the service. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Got a filling but the dentist made a mistake and left a hole in it. Then when I came back because of the pain from the hole, she kept spraying air into it and then told me off cause I swore in reaction to the pain. Furthermore, on the same day, the other filling I was getting wouldn't numb, to which point they said they couldn't wait for it to numb more and drilled my tooth in anyway. It was horrible pain.

Negative experience: Disappointed !! Had an appointment for a tooth extraction for 10 am. Reached there at 9.45am to do the paperwork first so the tooth extraction can be done on time. But was waiting till 10.25 am with no sign of anything happening. The old lady who came after me was attended first while I was just waiting at the reception. So eventually had to walk away !! Will not recommend unless you just want to waste away your precious time by just sitting in the reception.

Negative experience: I had my dental appointment today for an ache tooth. After the x-ray he suggested to do a root canal treatment and I was okay to do the first treatment today. When you've finished the filling you informed me that I should go to the specialist as you can't do it here. If you have told me that after examining the x-ray, I would have save the money for the specialist. I think you only could have charged for the x-ray.

Fantastic experience: Excellent as we had rung around Auckland to find a Dentist that could fix what I thought was a broken tooth but thankfully was an old crown that had come off my tooth. The Crown was fixed with gentleness and kindness and feels back to normal as we were going to a funeral service next day and didn't want to be in pain all long weekend. Thanks once again to the dentist and her assistant who were Fantastic. If either my Husband or myself have to go for another Emergency Dentist appointment we will choose this Clinic. Sienna is a very caring Dentist plus Demi was Excellent as Dental Assistant.

Negative experience: Unprofessional service! I had my wisdom teeth surgery on Eastern weekend and removed the stitches one week after. The dentist used around 25 minutes to removed the stitches out, and it was very painful. Around one month after removing the stitches, another stitch was found. I went to there again to remove the stitch. However, one more stitch was found before I ate my breakfast today (nearly 2 months after the wisdom teeth surgery). The stitch was removed easily by my tongue and finger... Anyway, I will not back here again!!!
