Fantastic experience: Simply great team. After a 20yr + gap since my last visit to a dentist, this was the perfect way to get back into it. Right from walking in the door it felt welcoming and friendly. Dr Saini was fantastic. Everything was clearly explained every step of the way, and she constantly checks that you're ok whilst poking around inside your mouth (something she had to do a lot of for my long unchecked teeth). Care for the patient definitely felt like a top priority. Fortunately I only had one cavity, and the return visit for that was just as high class as the first. Definitely recommended to all.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dental practice. I've been under the very attentive care of Dr Ruma Saini for my (very painful) problem bottom wisdom tooth over the past couple of weeks. I've been met with a lot of understanding and empathy. I was booked in to have my 3 remaining wisdom teeth extracted, a composite restoration/filling, and a scale/cleaning, all under sedation, the week after my consultation. The practice was calm and quiet the day of the procedure. I went into the 3.5 hr. surgery with very little anxiety as I knew I was in good hands! The surgery must have gone well, on my end at least, as I remember next to nothing. One moment, I was talking about work with the dental nurse, and the next, I was waking up covered by a blanket. Unfortunately, I developed a dry socket, which is to be expected after a surgerical extraction of an infected bottom wisdom tooth, and was also seen by Dr Isla Melton for a dressing, and she helped soothe my pain within 5 minutes of sitting the chair. I had a second checkup and dressing for my healing dry socket with Dr Ruma this evening, and she's honestly the best dentist I've ever had! The whole team is lovely. I get a sense they really enjoy working together, and truly trust and respect the skills of the dentists they work with - which is a very good sign! The nurses and admin staff are very friendly, bubbly, and easy to talk to, and you can tell everyone is incredibly passionate about dentistry and caring for their patients. I've not once felt rushed or anxious, and I only have positive things to say about the ladies I've come into contact with here. I'm very much looking forward to how much my oral health, smile, and overall confidence progresses with the help of Dr Ruma and Albany Dental Group over the coming years! I really recommend Albany Dental Group if you have any grievances with your teeth/gums or if you feel anxious about going to the dentist. I can say wholeheartedly that the team wants the best for you and your smile! - To add some context to this, I'm from the UK and was treated under the NHS in July 2022 for a bottom wisdom tooth. One that should have been extracted pre-covid. I had the polar opposite experience where I had to fight tooth and nail (literally) to have it out under local anaesthesia within two months of my initial consultation in the May, as I was booked to move to New Zealand in August. Turns out, I should have had both bottom wisdom teeth out whilst I was still in the UK!

Everyone is so kind and compassionate and really help to ease a lot of my fears. Reception, nurses, and Dr. Ruma have all been so patient with me and have looked after me so well. I couldn't be happier with who I'm seeing. I still have to have mild sedation, but I know I'm in good hands which certainly helps to put me at ease. Thank you team!

The reason I value his excellency is because he explains through a series of present and past x-rays the nature of my teeth's condition and provides a management program that has worked exceedingly well in the last 26 years. Fantastic experience: Recently had a surgical extraction of 2 wisdom teeth done by Dr Ruma , I was incredibly anxious about the whole procedure but Ruma was very reassuring , and very gentle, highly skilled and definatley recommend to others.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ruma Saini is the best. I am a high needs patient as I have very bad TMJ issues and am unable to open my mouth. Dr Ruma has small hands and was able to work on me. More importantly she is very friendly, she isn't patronising and she doesn't make you feel stupid. I appreciate her work ethics and friendliness. I have visited her for sedation, fillings and tooth removable. Each visit was not stressful and I even drove 5 hours to visit her when we moved out of Auckland as she is that good.
