Fantastic experience: I am a very, very anxious patient and I just had the BEST experience getting a filling with Dr Mark Harris. He was so calm, kind, and completely eased my mind about the whole procedure. He explained everything thoroughly so there were no surprises and answered heaps of questions I had. The whole procedure was completely pain free!! I am so relieved and I am so grateful for Dr Mark, his lovely assistant, my hygienist who checked in with me at the end of my visit, the receptionist who made me a cuppa whilst I was waiting, and the rest of the Villa Dental team. Cannot recommend Villa Dental enough, especially for nervous patients!

Fantastic experience: If you are terrified of the dentist, and have consequently left your dental visit until it at crisis point and you have PROBLEMS, and the mere though of going is enough tk make you break out in a sweat, this is the dentist for you. Dr Henk is the teeth whisperer. I was so embarrassed of the state if my teeth and he was so warm and GENTLE and kind, i was instantly at ease. He has a special ’party trick’ to make the injection not hurt in the slightest! Be sure to ask for it! Also, my dental work was emergency stuff and i live in Australia. So he gave me really good advice on how best to move forward with the stuff that needs doing, GOOD. ADVICE even tho he knew it would not benefit him, and his gentle reassurance it was not the insurmountable drama i believed, was a gamechanger . Also, he will not rush you. Hes amazing, i want him to come to Briabane. Wonderful warm man, good vibes. The rest of the team are great too, you can tell they know they work for a good person. stop procrastinating and Just do it! If you were looking for a sign, here it is.

Fantastic experience: I feel like I have spent most of my free time at Villa Dental of late, fixing up some overdue fillings (oops) I hate going, like everyone, but all of the staff are so lovely & love a bit of banter! It makes the whole experience so much nicer, being able to have a laugh in times such as this.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Dr Henk and Dr Benjamin for excellent service. I had 3 wisdom teeth removed. Had hardly any pain. The way each step was explained was so reassuring that they know their job. Aftercare was more than I ever thought a dentist will supply. Fantastic experience: I had to take my 9yo son for a tooth extraction due to an accident on the trampoline. My son was so affraid and I was very nervous, but Dr. Ben had worked his magic. My son and I felt at ease and everything went down without tears, which is a rare occurrence for children and tooth extractions :) A huge thank you again Dr. Ben and his assistant. You are a wonderful dentist and definitely in the right occupation.

Fantastic experience: Dr Henk was so kind, caring and patient with me from the moment my appointment started. He prioritised making me comfortable (I was shaking, nervous and near tears) and making my appointment pain free - a necessity because I’m a big baby when it comes to my mouth and teeth. I’ve not had a better experience at the dentist and I could not recommend him or the clinic any higher!

Negative experience: I been there on Feb this year for implant. They said I need to do inspections, teeth cleanings, kind of treatment before implant. So I followed their instruction and been there 4 times and spend over $1000. Then they told me will referral to specialist to do implant. I was keep waiting till June but no one contact me. I emailed them, no response. I popped in, they promised will fellow up and call me back and no response again and again. Even they said I will call you back within 1 hour!!! I waited till last week and totally disappointed. I then visited another dental care and they do the implant and all treatment straight away within 2 hours!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this place more! I had not been to the dentist for a long time. I had a few problems but what drove me there was an infected tooth. The staff immediately put me at ease, made me feel comfortable, treated me respectfully and made me feel like a priority. They got me in the next day and when it was different to what they anticipated, they were very transparent and changed the price. I have another appointment booked for more work. Thank you all so much.

Fantastic experience: An absolutely amazing dentistry! I used to think that I could never be able to fix my teeth, only to have them removed and get a full denture (as that is what multiple dentists had recommended I do) But villa dental assured me that I didn’t have to loose my teeth and that they could be saved! My whole treatment has been pain free, flexible and I have been supported through out the whole process! Everyone is so welcoming and really do want the best for you! I have recommended them to everyone I know and majority of them have switched from their prior dentists to come here! Some drive from over an hour away! It’s worth every cent knowing you are going to walk out happy, safe and better than when you walked in! Thank you Villa Dental!

Fantastic experience: Consistent excellent service. At a recent checkup I mentioned having experienced daily jaw pain. Dr Marshall identified that my bite needed to be balanced. My jaw has been pain free since the day of treatment. Highly skilled dentist. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I was a client at Old Villa for almost a decade, my review now is very different to what it would have been in those initial years. I'm not a fan of the new location which is much less convenient (and the name seems redundant now) but was having issues before the move. A frustrating lack of care and consideration was particularly notable right through from the receptionists to the hygienist to the dentist. Appointments would be changed without notice, waiting times of over an hour for specialists (and when I could not wait another hour on top of that they attempted to charge me for the cancellation!), my details were never logged correctly, expensive procedures with very little explanation given, and generally just not being listened to when I had concerns. Perhaps people with unpleasant experiences here are in the minority given the high reviews but I have switched to another dentistry where care and dignity are not separate to their business plan.

Negative experience: It is a real review from a long times customer. I had an appointment for dental hygienist today; it was the most disappointment I get ever. The new practitioner did the cleaning in 7 mins in total. I know my teeth condition which normally needs an hour to be done due to I am a regular customer from them. I feel I pay for noting, just like in and out process, it is ridiculous. Be aware they just want your money.

Fantastic experience: In all my years of going to the dentist I’ve never found one quite like this place , the staff are amazing the equipment is state of the art I can’t rave enough, the payment plan options are what got me here , to be able to get everything done at once and pay it off means I get an amazing smile without having to wait 2 years .. keep up the good work team

Fantastic experience: My experiences at Villa Dental have been nothing but excellent. From getting our daughters lip/tongue-tie done, check ups and most recently a consultation for braces, I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience each time (and I used to be scared of the dentist!). Not only is the new building wonderfully modern, but it is also peaceful and relaxing (which is rare at the dentist). The staff were extremely friendly and were very happy to go above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable - even making me a barista style coffee! Whenever people in my world tell me they are going to the dentist, I ask them where and I say that they should go to you guys. Hands down the best dental experience/quality of work I have had.

Fantastic experience: Very Professional caring team and I love the new premises big, spacious and clean. Offered a coffee and acknowledged by name. Team interacted really well with each other, always smiling and dressed very professional. I was impressed from start to finish. My hygienist Simone was very gentle on me also. Fantastic experience: If you're seriously phobic about dentists this is the place to go. After ten years of ignoring my oral health due to anxieties around dentistry, I expected at least a scolding. Instead the entire staff, from reception to nurses to dentists were incredibly kind, supportive and respectful. Special mention to Dr Marshall who thoughtfully listened to me and explained the procedures without ever being condescending. Old Villa goes above and beyond my expectations and set the standard for patient care.

Fantastic experience: There are angels in the form of Dr Nettie and Briar her assistant! We were struggling to feed our newborn and when diagnosed with a tongue tie we were recommended to Old Villa Dental. Our experience from start to finish was perfect. The staff were very friendly and professional and we love the home like feel of the office. Briar and Dr. Nettie were amazing with our little one and made us feel very comfortable with the whole process (plus Dr Nettie is a professional swaddler!!) The procedure went perfect and our little one was calm as through the whole process and didn't even cry, thanks to the gentle care of Dr Nettie and Briar. To nurse our little one now is a revelation and he has become quite the little piggy now that he is getting as much milk as he wants without working so hard for just a few drops!!! Fantastic experience: No body likes going to the dentist but if you have to go I'm lucky enough to have one of he best dentists around. Nettie and her team are awesome. I always have a laugh and really genuinely enjoy the banter between the staff. Nettie always asks about my grandson and genuinely seems interested. I have been going to old villa for at least 14 years and could not imagine going any where else.

Fantastic experience: Wow... Today we drove for a total of 6 hours for a 30min appointment, and we would do it again in a heartbeat. After an equipment issue (completely out of their control) they made every effort to accommodate our appointment time. The reception staff continuously bent over backwards to facilitate our appointment including acquiring a replacement machine from Auckland within 2hrs of the original issue! Then apologized for the disruption. When really we felt that we should be the apologizing for being inflexible. Free coffee (real coffee) and offers of everything to free jewelry cleaning to hand massages. The consolation was excellent, with polite, professional and informative staff who made lots of small gestures which didn't go unnoticed (example the pink swaddle for our newborn). Post treatment information was passed in far greater detail than other health care providers we've dealt with previously.... We don't live in Hamilton, but if we did - these guys would be our first choice for everything.

Fantastic experience: The staff at the Old Villa Dental go above and beyond to provide the best service possible. Nettie, who has been my dentist now for over ten years, is extremely professional and very personable. My experiences to date have always been positive, and even though my wallet may not enjoy the experience nearly as much, I can say that their prices are very competitive and they do provide payment options if required. To top it all off, no pain and my teeth look great! :-)

Fantastic experience: Amazing and friendly staff, appointments are always made at the convienience of the patients and I consistently get a curtosy call the day before to remind me of my appointment. Enjoyable environment to have your teeth attended to! Dr Nettie is exceptional and I always leave with a smile. (Megan is the best colour consultant for braces )

Fantastic experience: To anyone who's looking for a gentle and satisfactory dental service, please visit Old Villa Dental. I've had a number of things done at Old Villa Dental such as fillings, extractions, RCTs and bridges and since childhood I've been extremely scared of visiting dentists. However, my perception of dentists changed when I visited Old Villa Dental and most of all the phobia I had for years just vanished in one dental sitting because of the care that was provided. The most important thing is to know what needs to be done and the highly skilled doctors at Old Villa explain everything to their patients as well as provide alternatives as they are aware that not everyone can afford top of the line cosmetic dentistry options. I must add that the staff at OVD are extremely warm and approachable. I don't feel nervous anymore or scared of visiting a dentist anymore and that is all because of the highly professional and genuine OVD staff. Cheers Geetika.

Negative experience: I am saddened to write this, having been a patient of Henk for about 10yrs,when his practice was near the Claudends end of Grey st. Having spend a considerable amount of money on Crowns,which fell out, these were fitted by Dr Dave at the time,who is now in Rotuna I believe,plus Dentures and fillings,I was unhappy with Henks proposal of removing my remaining teeth,so took advice elsewhere,which was an "eye opener". So in conclusion,I will not be returning. Henk needs to adjust his "booking" system ,so he is less busy,and can attend to his patient needs.
