Negative experience: Extremely disappointed. They did my filling few months ago. I have broken tooth now. Not listening, not doing good job. Never had any issues with fillings before with my Greenlane dental over the years.. Unfortunately moved to Nelson and couldn’t see my dentist in Auckland. I came to AM dental to place filling on right of front tooth. Instead to fix this filing they said that all filling of front tooth needed to be replaced. I believe because of costs more for a big filling instead small. The treatment took too long. The filling was too big. I have pane for few days. Usually I have no pain after feeding been done. Antibiotic helped to reduce pain. I came back to adjusted filling when pain settled. They filled far too much. I have cracked tooth in few months where filling was replaced. There was no x tray done after treatment like other places do. They showed pictures which is cosmetics outside the tooth. The replacement of feeling in place were it’s shouldn’t been done and filled far too thin didn’t last. They created one problem after another for money flow. Good filling lasts years not months.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional and outstanding service, informative, you know how much it will cost before procedure, dentist and assistant work so well together that he does not even need to tell her what to do. Both come across as kind and professional. And both have very delicate and small hands so your face isn’t getting pulled apart, enjoyable experience

Fantastic experience: Exceptional. I had an accident at 11pm the day before and Dr. Aleksandra has been very accommodating. I was able to fix my deformed teeth at 1030 the following day. Very straightforward and gentle, considering I have a few bruises and cuts in my face. Thorough in her work. I was holding my breath for the price of the emergency procedure, but was relieved to see that it is within reasonable range. THANK YOU! I can finally eat and get on with recovery.

Fantastic experience: On the way to Nelson for Christmas, I got a toothache. When I arrived in Nelson I asked family for recommendation as I needed urgent dental care. Family suggested AM Dental. Rang for an appointment and they fitted me in for the following day. Dr P Tsern took care of me and he was brilliant. Took x-rays, explained to me my options and after agreeing to take my tooth out, told me what is going to happen. Was very clear explaining what I needed to do for after care (including prescribing antibiotics). He understood that as part of the holiday, we were going to a place that is only accessible by a 3 hour drive and 4 hour boat ride, so it was important that I didn't have any issues post tooth removal. He reassured me that if I had any issues, to call them however, I followed instructions and was fine. After talking to family, the dentists at AM Dental are brilliant. Price was great too. Thanks Dr Tsern and AM Dental. Oh, and they are in a cool building too.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with this dentist. That would have to be the most gentle and almost painless extraction I've ever had. I'll be using AM Dental as my normal dentist from now on. Most professional and efficient. Very fair pricing too.

Fantastic experience: I booked for a scale and clean with Max. Best no nonsense scale and clean I've had in a while. He got right onto it, was quick,efficient and thorough and caring. The price was fair. Last 2 scale and cleans I've had at other dentists were drawn out resulting in a second appointment which if they'd been less talkative should of been completed in one session. Fantastic experience: Lovely people, expert technicians, reasonable charges. They can generally help at very short notice. I am very happy with the work that I have had done at A M Dental. I help to care for an elderly lady with dementia and she broke a front tooth off, so we went to A M Dental. Alexsandra (the dentist) seemed to instantly know how to handle this lady. She was patient and gracious, and made a great-looking repair in a very short time. Nelsonians are fortunate to have such a great service available. Heartily recommended... best wishes.... They worked together like ballet partners and did a great job with no anaesthetic required. Very friendly with great communication. I also got some good advice regarding chewing foods like toasted muesli. Very happy with the experience.

Fantastic experience: It's important to have good experiences when visiting the dentist. Having chipped a tooth over the weekend and hearing some positive comments tried them out. All good and a lower price than in the CBD...

Negative experience: I came with an emergency runing because google said it was open and when I call they tell me that they close 4pm.

Fantastic experience: I had a painful toothache three weeks ago so I needed to see an emergency dentist asap. AM Dental happily accommodated me on the day itself and gave me detailed tips on how to survive until my appointment. My tooth extraction procedure was patiently and gently done. I also appreciate that I was given written and detailed after-care instructions as this was highly important to prevent a dry socket. The staff was friendly and caring and the price was reasonable for an after hours appointment. Highly recommend!

They saw how much pain I was in as my useless dentist saw how bad my tooth was and didn’t pull it out straight away luckily Am Dental !!! Fantastic experience: Was told by our neighbour to see this dentist as last dentist i went to was not good at all. I had a dry socket and in so much pain after her magic skills i was pain free went bak for repacking 2 dats later she didnt charge me for. Best money ive spent in a very long time. Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to this dentist for easing my pain! I had gone to another dentist the same day expressing my agony, without them finding any issues I got turned away. The pain continued so I rang AM dentists emergency number. They answered swiftly and told us to come in straight away, I was only in the chair for a short period of time before they found the issue and tended to it. I would still be in immense pain if it were not for them. Lovely people! Lovely service. Would highly recommend and see them again. Shaq

Fantastic experience: My first 2 visits were last minute emergency visits, the first one I called literally every dentist in the phone book & they were the only ones who would see me even though they were busy, just as well because they sent me to hospital & I was in surgery hours later, the second time was days before Christmas & she stayed open late to get a complicated wisdom tooth out, it's a small outfit but they really know there stuff, cheaper then most & have gone out of there way to ease my pain, only dentist I'll use now

Fantastic experience: I came over from Australia and I had a severe tooth ache. AM Dental was immediately able to see me. The dentist was so helpful and explained everything and was able to relieve my pain whilst I was on holiday. Fantastic experience: I had severe tooth ache on Christmas day. I was surprised to find any emergency dentist open. Charges were very reasonable especially given it was Christmas morning. The service was top notch, very caring and extremely efficient. Alexandria was very professional. I only wish she could be my everyday dentist. Definitely felt she was in it for the patient.

Fantastic experience: Broke a tooth last Thursday at 5:15pm, no luck after ringing several dentists, had heard of AM Dental so I tried them . Was sitting in the chair at 5:45! Alex and her assistant did a great job and I highly recommend them. Thank you again.

Fantastic experience: Tooth filling chipped off suddenly and I immediately started googling affordable but reliable dental clinics around the area and found AM Dental. Online booking was really easy - price guide was included as well. The appointment went really well, Aleksandra and her assistant were really great and patient (I’m afraid of being in a dental clinic and pain), they explained what was to be done and how it would be done. After the procedure, she mentioned that if I had any further issues I could come back and she would take a look again. Thanks again Aleksandra ☺️

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend this surgery. I was able to get in for an after hours appointment. The dentist was so thorough and was able to take my tooth out then and there. She coached me through it as I was quite scared and got it over and done with really quickly. Also, the prices here are fantastic. Very happy with everything.

Negative experience: I have visited this clinic on several occasions with my niece who has had ongoing dental problems. Whilst she was satisfied with the dental work I had a disturbing experience whilst waiting for her one afternoon. During the visit I saw a man whom I have seen at the property before. I was waiting outside when I saw him exit the building, he was on his phone and I presume he did not see me. He stood around 5 mtrs from me and over a period of 10 minutes proceeded to speak some of the most vile and disgusting abuse to who ever was on the other end of the phone. I must presume it was a woman who he not only called derogatory and disturbing names but also frightening threats against her and her family. Due to my concerns for my nieces safety she no longer visits this clinic. It was a very disturbing experience.

Negative experience: Not happy. My partner was quoted and paid for a surgical extraction. Which would have meant sedation and surgical extraction. Instead he was given local anesthetic and the dentist attempted a simple extraction. He went from feeling nervous about procedure to feeling traumatized and pain is now worse... If Gentle Dentail makes a referral for surgical extraction, due to only doing simple extraction themselves, then a surgical extraction should be done. At least Gentle Dental live up to their great reputation.

Fantastic experience: Went there to have my wisdom tooth removed. Absolutely scared of dentists because of a botched wisdom tooth removal in the UK. I spoke to them about my fears and they were really good and sensitive. Took their time with the removal and it didn't hurt at all. Very kind and very friendly staff. I would very much recommend the team at AM Dental.

Fantastic experience: My father-in-law was visiting us in Nelson. During dinner - his tooth appeared to break off. Luckily I was able to book an urgent appt. with AM Dental. A temporary fix was done quickly and easily. Upon returning back to the States, my father-in-law went to his regular teeth cleaning appointment. Both his hygienist and his dentist were impressed at how good his temporary looked. So much so - that it was recommended to just leave it as is. Beautiful house and excellent dentist. Thank you!
