Negative experience: Spoke over phone for a particular treatment. TMJ dysport injections, that I have had for years to help with pain. Went in for that treatment but no they won't do it just offered a referral and that cost $102! Then I had to go to another dentist and pay $580 for the treatment they refused to give which worked straight away. Don't waste your money on this clinic they are not worth the time or cost. Especially when it is on a acc claim. These people care for their accounts not their customers.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is so incredibly friendly, professional and kind. They're up front with expectations of the costs involved and are informative with all of the options available and the reasons why. The best experience I have had going to a dentist.

Fantastic experience: When I was younger, I had multiple experiences with dentists who didn't apply enough local anesthetic prior to pulling teeth or drilling cavities and then proceeded to gaslight me about the pain I was feeling. As a result, I had developed pretty significant anxiety about tooth pain and dentists in general. I still try to be an adult and do things like regular dentists visits, but I panicked when I came in for an annual visit a few weeks ago and was told that I had a very visible cavity that needed filling. I scheduled the filling for a week later and pre-emptively told the staff that I was going to need a LOT of anesthetic, fearing the worst. I can tell you that I didn't feel A SINGLE THING while they drilled and filled that cavity. They were really careful to use enough anesthetic and give enough time for it to work. I feel like my dental anxiety has gone from 100% to 10%. So grateful for them listening to me and making sure that I was comfortable. Also: huge shout out to Jenny, the hygienist. Every time I see her I learn something new! I learned at the age of 36 how to floss properly and why. Thanks to her, a year later, my gums are way healthier! I can't imagine going to another dentist after Lumino. So glad to have found them! Smiling customer for life.

Fantastic experience: I’m very pleased with the service and assistance I received for my root canal treatment on one of my premolar teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Jesse and assistant Alex, who helped me through some of the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. Special thanks to the entire clinic team—respectful staff, a clean and welcoming environment, and doctors who provide honest, accurate advice to their patients.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first checkup at Lumino, after not seeing a dentist for a few years. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Claire provided a thorough checkup, including looking at a tooth which was potentially problematic. I was shown the x-rays and photos, and now have a hygienists appointment and follow up appointment booked in Fantastic service from the team!

Fantastic experience: Moved to Christchurch around a year ago and needed a new Dental surgery for my regular check ups. Saw Saba for my regular hygienist visit, she was awesome, zero pain and walked out with clean and gleeming teeth. Recently I'd had increasing tooth pain from an unruly molar so made an appointment to have this checked out. Jesse and his lovely assistant found the offending molar(s) and gave me a run down on what the issues were and options on what to do including potential costs. They removed one that wasn't worth saving, and patched another, all in what seemed like five minutes and zero pain, even the banter was good. I can't recommend this place highly enough! Everyone I've seen here is professional and friendly and made me feel welcome, this includes those in reception. If you're an anxious patient (which I'm not) this would definitely be the place for you. Cost wise, it was less than I expected which is always good too. Go there! Get your choppers sorted! You won't regret it

I interacted with Jayne, Vanessa, Marika, and Megan and couldn't have been more impressed by their professionalism, knowledge, personality, and care. Every interaction whether it be through email, text, phone, or in person was friendly and helpful. I will certainly be going back and my partner is excited to switch to them. I only have heaps of praise for this team and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a better dental experience!

Fantastic experience: I have been to quite a few different dentists and I can truthfully say that this company has given me the best experience. I was looked after by reception really well, and got sent lots of appointment reminders which was really excellent. The dentist and assistant (Tom and Hayley) were super friendly and informative as they did my three fillings. I liked that they used a rubber mouth guard thing to stop the stuff going down my throat which was a new but good experience. I also thought that the numbing injections were really good and not scary/painful at all.

The team (and I've seen most of them) are incredible, professional and a pleasure to be around. After spending many years abroad I wanted to sort out a few problems, and they are always upfront with my options and prices and make it easy for me to choose what is best for me. It's been a big year, but the thing I've appreciated the most is that they are always a joy to see, and they are upfront about pricing and there are no surprises. The work I've had done has been amazing, and I can't recommend them enough.

Friendly service with a smile always from Vicki on arrival and pain free, very comfortable treatment from Tom and Sammie. My most recent appointment was a long one but the attention to my comfort meant I actually fell asleep!. Hygienist Heidi has also been caring for my teeth for years now and always does a great job.

Fantastic experience: Sophie our 9 year old has never been here before but broke both of her front teeth. She is highly anxious at the Dentist and usually needs sedation. Dr Anna was so lovely and reassuring she had them both repaired without sedation in minimal time. Soph said she likes her new front teeth better. Have registered both daughters here now as our Dentist. Amazing service especially lovely Vic on reception she treated us like royalty. Thanks heaps

I'm an incredibly nervous flyer when it comes to dentists and I've had my fair share of traumatic experiences with other dental surgeries, but smile has really put my mind at ease with their incredible attention to detail and very thorough treatment plan. David booked me in for a session with their in house hygienist who gave me the tools to maintain the best oral hygiene at home. Going to the dentist now is a lot more relaxing knowing that your in the best possible hands. Fantastic experience: You could possibly call me as an expert customer at Smile Co. after I'd done my dental implant, root canal, wisdom tooth extraction, cavity treatments etc etc... for the last few years. Gentle and friendly, highly skilled dentists Tom and David, very caring and professional staff including Sam the dental assistant and Vicki the receptionist who is like everyone's mother (much more beautiful than my mother of course). Great team as a whole!! I know dental treatments can cost a lot in New Zealand, so when you have to go I bet you want to see people who you can trust!

Fantastic experience: This has to be the best dental practice in the world! Not only does Tom do amazing work, he does so with perfect chair side manner too. My husband was quite apprehensive when going to the dentist and used to have to take some kind of medication to relax him (such that he couldn't drive himself there, not that he would have even without the medication). He now goes to Tom on his own, no extra medication needed. The whole team are what sets this practice apart from others, from the dental nurses, to hygienists, to the awesome concierge who makes sure you don't forget about an appointment and works with you not against you. Nothing is ever a problem with these guys. Also love love love that these guys are tech savvy and use email and text as methods to communicate with you! Not only do you get a great smile at The Smile Company - you always receive a smile when you walk in the door! Priceless!!
