Negative experience: I went in for a dentist to have a look at my swollen gum, the receptionist was very nice and managed to fit me in within minutes of calling. But I found it was very daunting like a lot of pressure I get it pay up but the way she was pushing me about payment and making me sign things agreeing etc, questioning me and giving me side looks of concern… she’s lovely though but just a bit too pushy. The short older lady I saw barely looked at my mouth told me I need an xray and then when the xray came through she said I need to go back tomorrow to the dentist I’m originally seeing as she can’t see if my swelling is the top or bottom even though she took photos and x’rayd? She’s making her own prices also… just be wary.

Fantastic experience: I had my impacted wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Gurpinder Singh. He was highly skilled, gentle, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. He also took the time to explain the aftercare instructions in detail, which really helped with my recovery. Now, I’m fully healed and pain-free! Huge thanks to Dr. Singh for his excellent care—I highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: I needed urgent dentistry on Saturday before Christmas, and whilst the treatment was abit traumatic for me Gupinder Singh was amazing. He was kind, informative and skilled. Can't recommend highly enough. He had 2 excellent assistants, one being Sophie and can't remember the name of the other. Wow what a team!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely thrilled with my experience with Dr. Yvonne! I recently had a filling done on one of my front teeth, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The filling is virtually invisible, and my tooth looks brand new. Dr. Yvonne's expertise and attention to detail are truly impressive. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure and took the time to explain each step. The whole experience was smooth and painless. I highly recommend Dr. Yvonne to anyone in need of dental work. She's a true professional and a fantastic dentist!

Negative experience: I came here 2 years ago, (13/9/2022) to get a winz quote. I got charged at the time of appointment to have the winz quote carried out. I then got the quote an went to winz declined. That was okay until today, I received an invoice ( 2 years on) and ordered to pay my account that was at $119 confused I called and got told due to not carrying out the quote I had to pay, I never got told if the quote got declined I would have to pay, I made sure that I was paying the upfront costs and I got told I that was all I had to pay by shanti the receptionist (seems like other people have had issues with her too) and Lauraalso confirmed with me that upfront payment was all I did have to pay. I have had no prior contact other than the email today besides the confirmation of appointment 2 years ago!!!! (they definitely have my email address as they emailed) this is unacceptable and I’m getting told by shanti I have to pay and anyone higher up will say the same thing as her. Winz quotes are only valid for three months so there is no reason why I was not contacted sooner. It’s like me coming back after 2 years and asking for them to stick by there quote. I am posting this on Facebook and every other media outlet too so other people are aware not to come here.

Fantastic experience: The practice is easy to get to with good customer parking. Friendly and welcoming. A big shout out to Vanessa who did a great job descaling my teeth and didn't give me a hard time about not seeing a dentist for some time!!!

Fantastic experience: The hygienist was fantastic. I have sensitive teeth and gums and am an anxious patient. Vanessa was calming, patient and friendly. She did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend her.

Positive experience: They are always great here, reception team are friendly and my hygienist and dentist are so lovely and efficient. The only thing that stopped me from rating 5 stars was the money I hand over afterwards BUT they're still cheaper than other dentists out there.

Negative experience: I had a broken crown, so I had an appointment with Dr.Laura and had an x-ray yasterday. I paid $119 for the consultation and was supposed to start making new crown the next day. However, when I went there today, the dentist was different and Dr Rushil did not start making a new crown, and he instead operated the same x-rays on my teeth and consultation exactly like yesterday appointment, and They then charged me $139 again as consultation fee. The after, I feels really bad as the cost was not included on my estimate of yesterday. During the process, he kept looking for other oral problems and making it a bigger issue. He also recommended a root canal treatment for teeth other than the one I wanted my priorities. The estimate of it was also very expensive. In addition, I can understand he is professional, however the check in my mouth that I got from he was also uncomfortable and his touch was too strong with my mouth at all(pulled strong my lips, hit NOT gentle with a metal rod on my tooth etc). after backed home, I called the receptionist to ask if Dr.Laura was able to run my future appointments as I very much preferred that she was really gentle touch in my teeth check. However, I was told that Dr.Laura had quit just yesterday( She was last day when my first consultation yesterday!), and because of that, she could not operate my future appointments. Why did the receptionist book an appointment with Dr Laura when she knew I would not be able to continue with her treatment! This whole experience just felt very strange. I just wonder why they took the same x-ray again, and I shoud been pay for consultation fees AGAIN. Overall, I can easily foresee an unpleasant experience if I continue to go back, even if I have now wasted my money so far on consultations. so I cancelled all the future appointments and decided move on to another dentist. Update: 26 July 2023, After They reading my review, They realized the charge was incorrect and they refunded me 139NZD.

Negative experience: They were good until something went wrong. Be careful using them as they do not guarantee their work and will charge you fit any incorrect work. Places like Lumino do offer a warranty on fillings.

Negative experience: My son had an appointment today at 11.20 arrived at 11.00am due to having to fill out forms when I got there when I was filling out forms I was told they are running late I received no phone call about this after waiting for a long time we went in at 1pm for a very short 15 minute appointment to check my son's tooth when I rang to make the appointment they said it would cost between $30-$50 when I went to pay she goes $73 please and I said what the hell for photos of his tooth which I didn't ask for it would have been nice if she asked if we wanted it done $20 for 1 bloody photo of his tooth yes they were apologetic about the waiting time but this was bad they wanted me to bring my son back I January I said no I'm not paying about $70+ for a check up I'll take him to bee healthy and this appointment was ment to be coved by ACC we won't be going back

Fantastic experience: I had a deep hole in my wisdom tooth and found it hard deciding what to do about it. Rushil took the time to explain my options and was realistic and honest which I really appreciated. He was also very helpful and willing to answer my millions of questions which helped put me at ease, I didn't feel rushed or neglected. I was very sarcastic and laughy during my appointment so I appreciated his patience. Lilly was also amazing! I felt safe and comfortable with her helping Rushil as this was my second appointment with her present. She's always friendly, laughing at my jokes and gentle. Thank you both so much! The staff here are always amazing and that's why I travel all the way from Petone to use their service. Highly reccommend!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Johnsonville Family Dentist. Everybody there is friendly and professional and Dr Rushil is excellent. Takes you seriously, explains all of the options available in thorough detail and is happy to answer lots of questions. I had my wisdom teeth removal with Rushil and his team recently and felt like I received the best care available and have had a great recovery.

Fantastic experience: I arrived at the Johnsonville Family Dentist today for a procedure requiring sedation and I hadn't organised my aftercare. Dr Singh and his team were amazing, and organised a space for me to recuperate while all the staff checked in on me at regular intervals. I cannot recommend the practice highly enough for the care and consideration that the staff showed.

Fantastic experience: I had a rapidly developing toothache so I rang around to find somewhere able to do emergency work on a weekend. The receptionist at Johnsonville Family Dentist was very helpful and had me booked in for an appointment within two hours. After getting x-rays done and having all my options explained I opted for a tooth extraction. The last tooth extraction I had (somewhere else) was pretty nightmarish so I was very nervous, but Rushil was very reassuring and whipped the tooth out really quickly and painlessly. Rushil and his assistant Anu were very professional and I would absolutely recommend them and the Johnsonville Family Dentist.

Fantastic experience: 7-days a week, emergency appointments available. I've had major work (crowns and root canals) over the last three months, and while it would be wrong to say it's been a pleasure, it's been as close as is possible. Rushil and Anu are a great team, and I also had one appointment with Gurpinder who was also fantastic. Great explanations, caring treatment where the dentist never forgot that it was a person in the chair, as well as a mouthful of teeth, and although I've spent a lot of money it would have been a lot more at my previous dentist. Next-day followup call from a receptionist, which I've never had before, reminders a day or two before an appointment, all-in-all great service, great practice. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: After having a bad experience the previous day with another dental clinic, Laura was like a breath of fresh air. She was incredibly attentive and gentle and great at easing my partners anxiety. She explained everything as she was doing it and was super knowledgeable. She handled my partners 2 infected teeth with professionalism and grace. We walked out of there (although my partner was in pain with having teeth removed) feeling really happy with our service and we can’t recommend the team at Johnsonville family dentist more! We will be back for sure

Positive experience: I had a toothache for the past few days and on a Sunday out of the blue it became unbearable. Called all the dentals arround the area and the receptionist was so understanding with my condition and she managed to squeeze me through to a quick check up. All and all had to remove a wisdom and boy it started smoothly , went far too long and had to get assistance from anther dentist aswell. I wouldn't rate the experience since I always didn't like visiting the dentist. All and all I'm happy my tooth was removed even with complications. PS-Second & Third visits were good. Dr.Laura was great

Negative experience: Not recommended. I went to there and did a teeth x-ray scan due to the teeth pain. After that they recommend root canal treatment for me. And Gave me a quote of about three thousand dollars. In fact, one week after. I booked another appointment with Wellongton Dentist. And after some checks. They filled my teeth directly.

Positive experience: I went here a couple of months ago to get wisdom teeth removed. The extraction went really smoothly and the dentist was really nice about it. He did however hit a few of my other teeth with a metal rod and one of those I have been having pain off and on ever since, where I never had any pain previously. The dentist said the tooth had a dead nerve (so why is it painful?) and it needed a root canal and crown which was quoted at nearly $3000 to get done. It seems like too much of a coincidence that a tooth that was not bothering me at all suddenly started bothering me after my appointment when they wanted so much money to fix it.
