Fantastic experience: Essential Dental Clinic is a highly recommended dental clinic for your teeth. They are very calm and soft. I've got my tooth extraction with Dra. Ashley Yang, she's a very smooth and approachable dentist. I like the way of Dra. cheering me up. This is my first tooth extraction ever in my life (21 years of existence). So at first I'm so nervous, but Dra. Ashley Yang keeps on reminding me that we can do it. Thank you so much to Dra. Ashley Yang you're so fabulous and to the whole team of Essential Dental Clinic.

Fantastic experience: I visited Essential Dental for emergency treatment as I was out of town and in agony. Thankfully on a Saturday they were able to see me the same day. The outcome was an extraction of my lower molar as it was beyond rescuing, this being my first dental procedure at age 50 (no fillings it 50 ) so I was pretty nervous. Ashley and the team were absolutely amazing, incredibly caring and professional, taking the time to explain everything step by step. Ashley and the nurse did a fantastic job of putting me at ease and a perfect extraction. So glad I found this practice for the treatment. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I've been to, I'm someone who doesn't like dentists and the team at Essential Dental has made feel welcome and comfortable through my visits of needing multiple fillings with Ashley and a hygienist clean with Karen. Thanks to Ashley, I enjoy smiling again as she has done an excellent job. Reception even remembers me and greets me by name, I'd almost say I enjoy the dentist now thanks to the team here. Will recommend for everyone.

Negative experience: Left with a bleeding lip, Kevin Tan was rushed and inpatient. I wouldn’t recommend.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible went to cancel my appointment as something had come up that was seriously urgent I called them to let them know and re book they told me I couldn’t re book and they have called other dentists to make sure I don’t get an appointment I am beyond frustrated for this. Unfortunately sometimes things happen and for them to act like this is very upsetting.

Fantastic experience: I had a really great dental clean today. Karen was amazing – she explained everything clearly step by step, which made the whole process easy and comfortable. I feel 100% confident and comfortable going back. Thank you to the whole team for making today a pleasant experience.

Negative experience: This was by far the worst dental cleaning experience I’ve ever had. I get my teeth cleaned every year and have done so consistently for the past five or six years — never have I had such a terrible experience. I had my appointment on June 6. After a 15-minute examination, the hygienist told me they could only clean half of my teeth and that I would need to come back for a second appointment to finish the rest. I wasn’t given much of a choice, so I reluctantly agreed. The next day, June 7, my lower jaw became swollen, I developed a fever, and felt generally unwell all day. On the morning of June 8, I woke up with a mouth full of blood and clots — it was honestly frightening（show some photos). By June 9, the swelling still hadn’t gone down. I’ve had many dental cleanings before and never experienced anything remotely like this. I called the clinic to ask what might have gone wrong, but instead of offering any real help, they told me I’d need to book (and pay for) another appointment with the dentist to get checked out. At this point, I feel completely let down and taken advantage of. I have no intention of returning to Essential Dental. This was an awful experience, and I absolutely would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to have my teeth cleaned today by the lovely Karen Kuek! I couldn’t recommend her more. Not only did she clean my teeth, she was willing to take some x-rays and check for anything she thought was concerning. My teeth feel absolutely amazing!!!! 11/10

Fantastic experience: I went to Essential Dental for a surgery under sedation owing to hooked roots in an impacted wisdom tooth. Dr Rohit and the team were outstanding with taking the time to address any of my concerns and questions. The surgery itself felt like time travel, and I experienced minimal pain and inflammation afterwards. I would highly recommend Dr Rohit for anybody dealing with dental anxiety or complicated surgeries suited to sedation.

Fantastic experience: I feel very lucky to have found the team here, because their level of care was unmatched. After a not fantastic experience with my wisdom teeth removal (a year ago with a now retired surgeon) I was nervous to go through the extraction process again, but Rohit and the team were so kind and professional. The sedation method provided by Rohit was amazing - I was completely unaware of anything that was happening but woke up feeling much clearer than I did when I had general anaesthetic for my wisdoms. I was in and out within an hour or so and the recovery was very chill. I also had a platelet graft and everything has been healing well with pretty much no pain. A big thank you to the team, I look forward to seeing you again for my general maintenance!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. You get what you pay for. Their services are of high quality! Ms. Joanne the hygienist and Ms. Jen are the best! Their receptionists and assistants are very kind and accommodating. Overall experience is great and will definitely be back for my regular cleaning ang checkups.

Fantastic experience: I had an exceptional experience at Essential Dental Riccarton. Dr. Jen, the dentist, explained clearly about the condition of my teeth and the procedure to be done. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure, didn't feel any pain nor discomforts. The dental assistant, Jen (yes, they are of the same name), was equally fantastic — attentive, friendly, and always checking in to make sure I was doing okay. The clinic was clean, well-organized, and equipped with the latest technology, which gave me confidence in the care I was receiving. Fantastic experience: Had four impacted wisdom teeth removed by Rohit Bedhi and assistants. Really good price, great communication, ease to deal with and to book the appointment. Surgery went really well and was put under without any feeling of the procedures. Really great recovery from the surgery i was able to eat whole foods on the afternoon of the operation which is incredible. My face did not get swollen one bit and minimal pain days after. Could not recommend this place more.

Fantastic experience: Went in for an emergency visit yesterday. The level of compassion right from the time my phone call was answered until I left the clinic was exceptional. Can't remember dentists name sorry, was in extreme agony. But the level of care and understanding was outstanding. I have found my new dentist and will recommend to anyone.

As someone who typically feels nervous about dental visits, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of comfort I experienced under Dr. Kevin's care. Fantastic experience: I haven't been to a dentist in a long time so wasn't sure what to expect, but Essential Dental put my mind at ease with their lovely friendly service, and amazing caring nature's. I had a dental emergency extraction due to pain, I got an appointment on the same day and came out feeling so much better. I can't thank you all enough. (I was seen by Lydia Lim). Edited to add - the clinic itself was absolutely stunning, well lit, warm and very clean!

Fantastic experience: Booked it as an emergency because of a very bad toothache, I was very lucky to stumble this dental place as the receptionist was very accommodating and the dentist (Lydia) was fantastic. Fantastic experience: Everybody at Essential Dental is welcoming and highly professional, and they provide a totally calm and relaxing environment. I had advice on the treatment needed and felt listened to when I asked questions and discussed the issues. I had a broken tooth restored to its former glory by Lydia, early this week. There was no pain afterwards and I was shown before and after photos at the end of the appointment. My tooth looks new! I have more dental work to be done and have huge confidence in the Essential Dental team seeing to that for me. Thanks to the great team there.
