Negative experience: I got my teeth cleaned at another dental clinic. I had enough of the crap job that Waikato Dental does. A woman did a better job at another place then Hyrum or Legin ever did.She reached in places that I have never felt before. My teeth has no stains and is very white in color now. Made me realize that I was getting ripped off for years by Waikato Dental.. Shame Shame Shame on you Hyrum & Legin that a woman put you guys to shame. Waikato dental only does a quick 20 minute job on areas that can be seen and the rest is not touched. The new place I went to said looks like my teeth hasn't been cleaned for a long time. I said no I get it done every 6 months . She was shocked at the work from Waikato Dental. Again shame shame shame on you Hyrum & Legin. If you are not proud of the quality of your work you do on people's teeth then it only reflects on you as to what kind of person you are.

Fantastic experience: Dr Joon is the best! Saw him as a new patient and he was friendly and professional!

Negative experience: Had to wait a while for my filling and it still hurts. Went to another dentist and there was still decay underneath the filling.

Negative experience: Very old technology here. Only able to do simple jobs. When I asked about other options and why they don't do it, Legin replied because of safety. Does that mean that they have to still drive around in Morris Minors ? Unfortunately he is unable to do his the job properly. Go here if you want to get an infection. Shop around as there are better places with better service. I don't think Legin has the energy to be proud of what he does. Very lethargic in speech and action. Does not do what he says he will.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Waikato Dental based on my experience this week. My teeth were very sore and the receptionist was very nice and gave me an appointment straightaway with Dr Terrence Reid. I was very happy with Dr Terrence he gave me multiple plans for my treatment options with a clear price. Thanks for your help my teeth no longer hurt

Fantastic experience: Came for a check, xrays, scale and polish. I was in and out within 15 minutes. Very fast due to the use of an ultrasonic scaler. Teeth are cleaned and no issues.

Positive experience: Thanks for the great service. 21 days later and filling gone again, not sure of what is going to happen next. Have another appointment 6/8/24.

Negative experience: Please please Never Ever visit this Dental clinic. They have done a terrible job.Totally unprofessional and unsterile practices .They haven’t done the job properly and I hand to approach dental consumer service for help. I have again got issues with same tooth. In fact they have done treatment twice and only the treated tooth has been affected again. When I approached the Endodontist he had done a CBCT and confirmed that there is Large Periapical cyst which happened because they haven’t done the job properly. They haven’t done the root canal or crown treatment properly. Now I have to remove the tooth because of inflammation and abscess after spending huge amount on one tooth. This people only wants money. If you want save your life Please don’t go to them. This is the response I have received from them earlier. If you guys want proof I can send the copy of my recent CBCT . I had to consult Indian doctors for proper diagnosis. Full conversation from the owner I got earlier below I have received a call from Waikato Dental Clinic in the afternoon . It wasn’t a good conversation I had with the clinic Owner Dr. Hyrum Martin though they agreed to change the crown free of cost.( The receptionist said that she will send an email regarding this matter . I will call them to book the appointment date ASAP, as I’m working until Tuesday. ) I have never experienced these kind of unprofessional behavior from anyone before. Dr.Martin also stated that” You are not a doctor so you don’t know anything about the treatment “I agree with Dr. Martin and that’s why I trusted their process completely and it wasn’t my decision to put the crown . I haven’t done this treatment for cosmetic purpose. I approached them due to severe sensitivity and excruciating pain. Dr. Hyrum Martin asked me to provide more proof even after sending clinical notes from my dentist in India. (He was saying that he doesn’t care what I have to do to get the documentation ) He clearly mentioned that there was big cavity when I approached for the first appointment and the treating physician thought and made an assumption that Crown would cover the big cavity. Dr.Martin also agreed that it was their fault to make a wrong assumption and treatment. I’m emotionally very exhausted and drained after these conversations and emails with them back to back . Though Dr. Han agreed to do these treatment , I’m not comfortable and it’s really hard for me have an open conversation with Dr.Martin or Dr.Han. ( I think they don’t understand the pain and suffering that I was going through even after sending heaps of email ) I’m a Registered Nurse . I see and care patients everyday and I have never treated my patients this way in my entire my nursing career. It is quite hurtful when I receive these unexpected negative responses from a health practitioner especially when you trust them completely with their decision making and treatment.

Fantastic experience: Just came from Waikato Dental and honestly, this was one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. I just got a filling but they used Dental Dam which was a first for me. Made it feel like I wasn't even at the dentist - what an experience. Also, Terrence and Mereoni are very professional, comforting, informative and engage with you every step of the way. By far the most affordable dental service in Waikato. Tau kē! (Awesome!)

He liaised with the Orthodontist and triple checked this needed to be done. I was just really grateful for how patient and gentle he was with my boy. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Teeth can be a very self conscious issue many of us face, but for years we learn to hide them behind closed lips, hoping that our eyes will reflect the same joy a smile would but it never looks or feels quite the same. I had lost many teeth over the years of having 5 children, and my teeth really started to bother me. I noticed while looking through all my photos, I couldn’t find many of me really smiling. I almost looked unhappy all the time. So I made the bold decision that 2021 was the year I wanted to do something for myself. I made an appointment and booked in with Dr Hyrum Martin at Waikato Dental. I was very self conscious and embarrassed of the state they would find them in, but they never made me feel that way at all. I felt safe and comfortable. They left me feeling so hopeful and that I absolutely would smile again. One of my areas I wanted to change was how small my teeth looked, so we went for a small gum lift that made a huge difference. A very painless procedure. I then went on to get 10 crowns over the top, to cosmetically make everything look great and the overall change in my appearance and smile has been 1000 x the investment. You can’t put a price on the feelings you have looking in the mirror at your smile. I have posted photos and the change is unbelievable. Waikato Dental are a family business and completely understand dental prices are expensive in NZ, and they offer amazing payment plans so you can smile confidently. My experience was beyond amazing, and I live out of town, so making the effort to come see them is worth it. I can’t thank Waikato Dental enough for giving me my smile back. My only regret is I didn’t come sooner to get my teeth fixed. Absolutely take advantage and book in for a free consultation to see where they can help. Thank you again so so much!

Fantastic experience: Not very often you are happy after seeing the dentist. But these guys are different. Their focus is about you as a patient. With the state of my teeth we were able to look at different options and work out a plan that was to my situation not to the benefit of the dentist. Everyone I know will be coming to see you.
