Fantastic experience: My experience with Sonika and assistants has been nothing short of miracle work. I have extreme fear over the dentist. When I say extreme I mean I have a full can hardly breath panic attack just walking in the building. After a few canceled appointments due to anxiety I finally got the courage to bite the bullet and go. 5 fillings to do I expected to be in for torture. Sonika and assistants have been so patient and kind. Dealing with my tears and panicked states. They play music, have a stress ball for me. She just does one filling at a time giving me time to prepare and pay it. They have Afterpay and do WINZ quotes. They’re non judgemental and don’t try to oversell all the unnecessary stuff that some places do. Although I still have anxiety the experience here has been great.

Fantastic experience: Needed an Extraction done, they got me in quickly. Dentist (name was Guy I think) was awesome, great communication.

Fantastic experience: I've been impressed with the 'bedside manner' of Dentist Jodie. She put this reluctant patient at ease, and gave me plenty of options and information.

Fantastic experience: Raipid Response Dental is true to there word freindly, proffetional and efficient. My experence with Dr Radu Goga (Endodontist) and Dr Jodie Bryant my dentist was out standing. They ticked all the boxes for honest trustworthy, respectful, actively listened, calm, excellent hygein, freindly, and cares about other staff. Radu and Jodie explained and educated me on the cares of my teeth and the plan going forward  explaining the process from pre to the finale out come. What set them apart from anyone else was I felt no pain at any time, playing your favorite music by request, which put my nerves to rest. I was allocated an achievable and a perfect length of time for my Dental work to done. I never felt rush and/or pressure as I was listened to thoroughly and felt validated especially within a thorough consult and always greeted with a smile . They  answered all my quistions and they work as a team to achieve and exceed my expectations. Dr Jodie was completely professional as my worries were set to rest with the ups and downs of previous experiences within the industry as a client. She's the perfect tooth fairy. Deilhia Dunlop

Negative experience: Turned up to arrange emergency appointment, was in horrible toothache pain, I've been a customer since the practice used to be upstairs in the square, I was told we can see you next Thursday which was 7 days away, phoned carpenters dental and they fitted me in within an hour despite not even being registered there, very disappointed with rapid response

Fantastic experience: Just had an appointment with the hygienist and boy is she good! My teeth have never felt cleaner! She was also very upfront with what I needed to use for my teeth to protect them further. Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Terrible experience for my 6 year old at Rapid Response Dental. Here's his story: My child broke a baby tooth at the school playground, but the broken tooth root didn't pop out, it stayed inside the gum causing him pain. We called Rapid Response and were given a same day appointment, which I was very thankful for. The dentist that treated my son was obviously not experienced enough to deal with my son's case, but instead of directing us to a more senior colleague, she worked on my son's gum for 40 min, with my child screaming in pain and me having to hold him down. After 40 min of torture for my kid, this dentist (I don't remember her name) tells me that she couldn't help my kid any longer as she had already spent more time on him than ACC would pay her for. She suggested to leave the broken root inside the gum and let it come out on its own. The receptionist (I don't remember her name either) took pity on my son and called Broadway Specialists on our behalf. They saw my kid that same evening and explained that the tooth root was shattered in pieces and the nerve was exposed. They scheduled my son for surgery for the next day. I was told that there was no way a dentist could deal with that, as surgery was obviously required and that, as the nerve was exposed, my kid must be in extreme pain. There was also risk of gum infection if the broken pieces weren't removed. Leaving the broken root inside the gum, as the Rapid Response dentist suggested, was obviously a negligent recommendation, which, if followed, would have led to unnecessary high risks and suffering. I'm not one to write bad reviews but, in this case, I think it is important for customers and parents to be aware that the only good professional we encountered at Rapid Response was the receptionist (who thankfully directed us to another clinic), and that at least one of their dentists is negligent enough to torture a 6-year-old during 40 min with a case that was obviously not within her expertise to solve and required urgent surgery. I wonder if she did that just to gain experience or to charge ACC for her (dis)services. I'd be glad to be contacted by Rapid Response Dental management and share my son's name and details, in the hope that a more senior and decent dental professional retrains the dentist that (mis)treated my son. LONG STORY SHORT: Parents, avoid this clinic at all costs, especially in case of emergency. UPDATE: after posting this review the clinic manager called to understand better the issues and apologised for the care my son received. She assured me the dentist involved would have some kind of retraining.

Positive experience: Fairly priced, I use them as my regular dentist and have enjoyed the team.

Negative experience: The Dentist Sam and his assistant were so lovely to deal with, I was made to feel very comfortable and at ease. When it came to paying I was absolutely baffled that I couldn’t use Afterpay? It can only be used if you have been into the Premises over 3 times? I have never heard of this. I do think these conditions should be made aware of somewhere in the reception so you’re not feeling shot down when it comes to paying.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the team at Rapid Response Dental. I've had 2 appointments there and they are so welcoming, they keep you informed of everything and help you understand your options. Very reasonably priced too. Thanks heaps Jason and Fred :)

Fantastic experience: Had a hygienist appointment with Angelita and she was amazing! From the get go she was friendly and comforting. She made me feel really at ease and not nervous/ embarrassed.

Negative experience: Did not explain that you needed to be in pain for work and income to pay for checkup and denisit lady was very rude did not understand that we had just traveled half an hour to tell me that. Very disappointed

Fantastic experience: I had a broken tooth and tried everything to avoid going to a dentist. Pervious experience had left me with a lot of apprehension, but a friend referred me to Jodi at Rapid Response Dental. She organized an urgent appointment for me. Both Jodi and Christal her assistant made me very relaxed and put me at ease. Sorted my initial infection and a week later i had my tooth extracted. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Jodi has restored my faith in dentist. Would highly recommend Jodi and her team at Rapid.Thank you.

Negative experience: I was seen here for the first time by the dentist and i was seen by Sam. It was clear he was a very inexperienced dentist. It had been discussed previously on the phone by them checking with another dentist of the urgency to cover my root canal with my tooth snapping off to prevent it from being infected so i came in. Sam had no response even after checking in with another dentist and me explaining this had already been discussed by other dentists of why i was here . I left with nothing being done to it, which could have caused an infection. .Luckily I got the main issue of why I was there sorted elsewhere to prevent infection.tried charging me $140 for nothing.

I was sad to hear she was no longer going to care for me and just a few days ago i broke my eye tooth. I was seen today by rahul and he was great nice and gentle and explained everything about what he was doing and i was very relaxed and one very happy person thankyou rahul and tegan

Positive experience: Awesome place. My hygenist is Lauren and every time I go in to see her she is always smiling, happy and upbeat. My visits are always pleasant and I leave feeling good. Recently I asked her if she could help with the bad breath I had been suffering with for 8 months, I had asked my GP and also a Rapid Response Dentist and nobody suggested anything helpful - No cavities etc so no dental explanation and my GP wasn't sure either. I have fantastic oral hygiene so was confused why my mouth always tasted bad. Lauren suggested Oral Probiotics as it could be a simple bacteria imbalance. I purchased some from Blis online and my bad breath has been gone ever since. THANK YOU LAUREN!!!!! Life changer. Rating 4 stars because it is incredibly hard to get through to this clinic on the phone. Probably the only thing I suggest they work on :)

Fantastic experience: Very good job done today by Dr. Rahul. I got a chip in a tooth because I bit on a – believe it or not – pearl in a mussel. Even the clinic was very busy I got an appointment just at the end of the day. Dr. Rahul showed me the chip on the tooth on a big screen. Dr. Rahul carefully polished the damaged tooth and checked if nothing else was broken. Even it was after five in the meantime everybody was very friendly and I did not feel rushed at all. Fantastic experience: Such great service and real care for patients. Teegan was extremely helpful my last visit which helped me out of what could have been a painful few weeks, thanks again. They are always helpful and very fairly priced. They are very proactive and actually listen to requests without trying to talk one out of a decision. A real down to earth dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental service I have ever used! I don't live in Palmerston North but urgently needed help; they put me in on the Saturday I called & put me at ease (I have serious anxiety with Dental Clinics). Will definitely look to use them for future appointments! Highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency during the COVID 19 Alert level 3 lockdown. Applied for an appointment online, and was rung by the team the next day to book an appointment the same day. I was told on the phone all of the extra safety/hygiene procedures I was expected to do due to alert level 3, and was talked through them when I arrived.The team were extremely professional and very friendly. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Able to get in for an appointment at short notice. Very quick and no problems afterwards. Best dental experience I've ever had. They also offer payment options although they were reasonably priced anyways.

Fantastic experience: Being terrified of dentists I suffered 48 hours till I called at 10pm and left a message. they phoned back and took me in at 10am next day. This dentist made my whole experience amazing. I had no pain during the procedure, that to me was unbelievable when I had suffered through other dentists. I would recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: We called for an emergency appointment and managed to secure a Saturday appointment - they were even willing to stay open late just to help with my toothache! I was seen by a professional and friendly dentist who carried out an excellent service and even made sure I have enough medication prescribed to make my impending trip comfortable should anything go wrong while I'm away. It's all in the name of the practice - they really do provide a rapid response!

Negative experience: Well. Without a doubt the worst experience of my life. Went in for a filling in a tooth and it honestly felt like i was in a training exercise! Firstly i couldnt get to the chair because there were tables and trolleys in the way. The assistant didnt know what she was doing. And the dentist actually stopped to show said assistant how much paste to squeeze out. Phrases were used like 'we ran out and i was gonna grab some friday but i forgot' (this was on the tuesday). And my favorite one was in response to me wincing with pain as the dentist pushed the matrix into my gum. 'Its ok, its only your gum' uh duh, and it flipping hurts hence why im wincing.. Anyways said matrix ended up cutting my gum which wouldnt stop bleeding. And after about two decades of dabbing the blood with half the cotton wool in the southern hemispere, a senior dentist was called in (who seemed very professional and is probably very good hence the 5 star ratings til now). The suggestion was made for a temporary filling as the hole wouldnt be clean enough for a proper filling what with all the blood. Anyway, job completed and as i sit upin the chair, balls of blood filled cotton wool disperse off my chest like the parting of the red sea. Probably wont be going back there its fair to say, even though Jesus said turn the other cheek. He also said to forgive. So God bless you guys and your business. No hard feelings??

Fantastic experience: Called for emergency treatment. Was seen same day. Friendly,Professional and efficient service. The team at rapid response really impressed me from reception through treatment and with their follow up care. Will definitely be back if needing dental work in future. Cost was very reasonable and highly recommend to anyone seeking dental work.
