Negative experience: Rip off place I got quoted 4500 to make up a tooth so went somewhere else got it done for 3400.

Positive experience: Needed an xtraction on the Wednesday 21st August they pulled it the next day. So good to have that done. I waited maybe 15 minutes the surgery took 10 minutes. Thank you guys. 2nd visit yesterday 12 sept for a tartar sraping arrived early 5 min wait in i go teeth unplaqued so happy more work required fillings next.

Negative experience: If you are considering this place for any dental work I strongly advise to go elsewhere. The dentist didn't even bother to communicate with me, nor provide written information to take away. Informed consent doesn't exist. Then went doing procedure anaesthetic reaction lead me to be unable to breathe. I was struggling and it was a medical emergency but the female dentist did nothing. Instead They tried to say it was normal! Wrong! Ive had life time of dental and know its not normal to have it happen. End result is I was in hospital 3 days later with AE staff believing and stating it was a direct reaction to what occurred at this place. I was in hospital for a week. Next when laying a formal complaint with owner of business she choose not to deal with it and put it onto the practice manager instead who thought it appropriate to try to force a letter to get me on the same page as them. - in other words cover their butts. They even tried to "buy me off" with petrol vouchers... Owner never communicated with me at all. So they don't know how to do business or make sure rights or processes to informed consent are carried out. Note: Only one dentist in the practice (male) is registered with NZ Dental Council. BE WARNED! Their reputation goes before them in the industry circles. They are even attempting to hold government funding money after stating all monies will be returned. Don't go there! The one star is only for the one individual receptionist who attempted to do service recovery and assisted when I was left in tears there.

Negative experience: Walked in quietly and politely, reception glared at us and continued her phone call so we obviously waited, after about 5 minutes realised it was a personal phone call had to wait for a different receptionist. Really rude experience and why is she on a personal phone call while customers are waiting. Very mediocre performance and quite lazy on her end

Negative experience: Today was the worse service I've received from the south Waikato dentist Puturaru from the dentist I had . I was examined and my top teeth on my left side was hit with this instrument to check if loose I where a partial that wasn't removed My bottom left tooth needed extracted I she again use this instrument tapped my teeth to see which one was loose . Then x-ray showed the one. She then injected me to numb the area putting it in my cheek not my gum . Then she put it in my gum by loose tooth . It was the wrong stuff to used she started on removing the tooth and then used a drill to do what . When I got off the chair I was shaking and un steady Idry reached shaking . It cost 220 dollars. Thanks to the care of one of the reception I started coming right . It took me until after 4 pm before I came right . Now I have a sore tooth on the top left hand side where the wire goes on my partial I can't wear it . Not happy. I have called the practice waiting for a outcome. That out come resulted in a check .more x-ray showing my top molar was loose instead of taking it out they left in there . Today 28/01/2024 my husband took my to city smile dentist in Hamilton due to tooth pain . They x-rayed it and removed it . At 400 dollars. Money I should not off had to fork the incompetent of the dentist is discussing. There was no patient care or accountability. I will not be returning back . After I had to go out of Tepoi to get it sorted. I've changed my review rating 1

Negative experience: I attended for a booked 0915 hour appointment waited and waited to be seen and walked out without seeing the dentist goodness knows what time I'd have been seen why this dental practice has an appointment system is beyond me they obviously arnt bothered about keeping clients if the dentist can't be on time I was asked if I wanted to rebook an appointment I declined the offer I've found a more reliable dentist when I get prompt service

Negative experience: My partner Came in for a check up and ended up needing and having a filling. The dentist he had did not offer him any numbing at all. She then started drilling at his tooth which obviously caused a lot of pain, he tried to tell the dentist it was stinging. She stopped and said your tongue but didn’t allow him to speak and she carried on. By the end of it he was in extreme pain and was glad it was over. Once home his gum and tooth were sore for the rest of the night. He was advised he is needing another but because of this experience he is really not wanting to come back. I called in regard to this and was told to email which I never had a reply to or a follow up email

Negative experience: would not recommend this dental practice. Molar extracted and the dentist was a butcher! Ended up at after hours doctors a couple days later to get treatment for an infection and then another two days later at an emergency dentist in Hamilton so they could take out the pieces of jaw bone that been broken off and left in there to fester. Some of the worst pain ever experienced. Everything seemed rushed and no care.

Fantastic experience: Speaking as one who has dental anxiety, these people are brilliant, bedside manner and reassurance is second to none, I recommend these guys to EVERYONE, they listened, got the job done, heck even the receptionists are awesome, don't let the location fool you, travel, it's worth it!!! Keep up the fantastic work guys, see again soon!!!

Negative experience: Absolutely traumatising experience and the lady that did it took the wrong tooth. I cried whilst I was there and for an hour after I left. Very rushed job, lots of young girls (staff) talking about there weekend and laughing and giggling. Very unprofessional, rushed and overall traumatising. I felt so unsafe and uncared for. Had to then, go and get the tooth I asked to be removed, removed by another dentist a week later.

Fantastic experience: This was the only dentist open over Christmas and they saved by butt from an additional week of pain. By far the best dental experience ive had. Im actually terrified of dentists yet i felt comfortable and at ease. There was no pain and i immediately booked again after my initial procedure to get my teeth sorted, something ive never done, knowing it needed to be, with another dentist. Wonderful friendly staff, calm atmosphere, knowledgeable dentist. Fantastic pricing also. 100% recommended

Negative experience: Had a bad experience went last wed to extract tooth. And the dentist was to harsh felt like my jaws will fall out. I am still having lots of pain in my gums . Wont recommend. Pay for tooth extract and suffer with pain

Negative experience: Rough and very rushed job to get my teeth cleaned plus i had to wait over an hour past my appointment time. yes they are cheaper than most places but next time i will pay the extra 20 dollars and go somewhere where they do the job thoroughly

Fantastic experience: I would like to recommend South Waikato Dental to anyone and everyone, they provided me with an extremely high level of service and follow up procedures. The staff went all out, to assist me in what was a very complicated matter. Words can not express how greatful I am. I highly recommend them as being the best dental service provider I have come across in over 50 years!

Negative experience: Cheap prices, but half of the root canals done, failed! Cost more to have tooth pulled. Dentist is too happy to inject... dont expect numbing gel
