Fantastic experience: I picked up my new denture today! Absolutely happy with the end result and thanks to the dental team and Dr Devika Ram for your excellent service. Had 4 appointments in total, each were smooth, stress-free and to the point. If you don't ask, then you won't know, I was satisfied with all the information given during the entire process. From the get-go, on my initial visit their receptionist was top notch in customer service, friendly, warm attitude, and for such a small clinic I hope in the near future they will be granted funding that will allow them to expand their business, but just stay local please lol. I appreciate your professionalism and caring service. Thanks again ;)

Negative experience: Used a Grabone voucher which offered a dental scale, clean and polish, plus examination and xrays for $69. There is no dedicated car parking but fortunately I arrived early. I completed the registration details and had to share the small waiting area with someone with a revolting wet cough and no mask. The appointment commenced 10 minutes late due to an overrun with a previous patient. The clinic and equipment looked rather dated and basic. I elected to forgo the xrays, having had some recently, and was hoping for a more thorough clean in the time available. The dentist asked questions and had only a cursory look at my teeth to record what work had been done previously - no proper examination was carried out. The hygiene work involved surface rotary grinding with no hand scaling or below gum or between teeth work. It was very uncomfortable and unpleasant - unbearable at times. It was followed by a very rapid polish which felt like going through the motions rather than anything worthwhile. The appointment finished after 20 minutes of which the total time spent on cleaning and scaling was about 10 minutes. I have since read that mechanical abrasion is bad news, ineffective, and can do more harm than good, and can adversely affect the enamel (which makes sense). My teeth are now noticeably more sensitive. I will never go there again and recommend others do not buy this service.

Negative experience: Had teeth clean with Grabone Voucher. I was told that the total cleaning time would be half an hour, however the dentist only did 10mins rough clean and 10mins talking. I did complain when the service done as I had teeth clean in somewhere else and it never took such short time. However, the dentist insisted that is their normal procedure. I feel that I get totally cheated from the beginning to the end. Kindly reminder: if you really want to attract new patients, please try to provide good service and be reliable.

Negative experience: Had Grab-one voucher, booked an appointment - got A/l off work. they called earlier in week tried to reschedule, then the day of actual appointment the appointment was cancelled. not happy. waste of A/l. will find a dentist that actually wants the work.

They switch another persons appointment who was there and this made it nice and easy for me. The dentist really made the whole experience smooth, less painful and seemed very knowledgeable. Negative experience: Me & my partner bought vouchers from Grab One to get our teeth cleaned. Dentist did a good job cleaning our teeth, it was painful experience for me but that is okay. However, the dentist told me that few of my teeth are bad that I have few tooth decay teeth which she went through the X-ray of my teeth. She also said that I need to go back to get my teeth checked ?or clean every month for $100.00 for 6 moths. Then I booked another appointment to another dentist which they checked my teeth & did a clear X-ray of my teeth - they said that my teeth are very healthy & surprised why the previous dentist told me that I have few tooth decay & I have to come back every month. I did not have good experience with this dentist & I won't recommend it.

Perhaps there has been a misunderstanding regarding periodic hygiene maintenance recommendations. Generally our dentist recommends to recall our patients once after 6 months (not every month) for dental hygiene and offers a special price of $100 if they come after every 6 month.

Negative experience: Would give no stars if I could. Worst dentist I had ever been to. Terrible service, when I asked questions at reception I was met with attitude and rolling eyes. Bought a voucher on grab one for a clean, it was painful and the result was pointless.

Negative experience: I had 3 tooth to sort out. My upper tooth on my right side needed to be filled after a year it broke in half. Now to get it repaired by Shine Dental they quoted $450. It should be free. Now to find another dentist who can do the job once and long lasting

Negative experience: Awful dentist. Bumped me twice because I had GrabOne voucher and was waiting for appointment at the dentists when a full paying client came. Dentist is money hungry and greedy. Rebooked me for 6 weeks later which is the earliest they allow for GrabOne customer. I was there when a client came for his dentures. Receptionist handed them from her hand, no gloves and handed it to customer and asked him to fit it into his mouth. Total lack of hygiene. Wanted to give a 0 star but there is no option. Avoid this place!

Fantastic experience: Paid $59 on a grab one deal for a for a full clean and mouth inspection, I had low expectations because of the low price but was very impressed, they did a thorough clean and did X-rays and were able to give me a run down on the price and what was involved for the further work needing to be done, will likely be back!

Negative experience: I called the team here to ask for an appointment. I was asked if it is for a Grab One Voucher, I told them I haven't purchased a Voucher yet, but I can do that if they'd like to book me in. My details were checked, and I was given an appointment slot. I was asked to purchase the Voucher and call back with the voucher number. I purchased the voucher online and gave them a call back to confirm everything. The person to attend the call this time told me I am not eligible to book with them with the voucher as they consider me an existing customer as I got a service done with them in 2017. This voucher is for new clients only. No one bothered to tell me the first time, as I won't have bothered to go by the voucher in the first place. To top it all off, she then tells me to lie to tell the voucher company about me purchasing the voucher by mistake to get a refund. This is my second bad experience with this place. Safe to say, be very careful if you are booking appointments with them. Their definition of basic terms is very different from the rest of us.

Fantastic experience: I can’t rate this place highly enough based on my experience today. I have major anxiety going to dentist, so much so that I didn’t go for 20 years! Unfortunately my mouth can testify to that! Since moving to Auckland a few years ago I have tried a number of dentists, none of whom have made me feel comfortable, or appear to have listened to me. UNTIL TODAY. Today I saw Dr Devika at Shine Dental for an Exam, X-rays, clean and scale. Dr Devika made me feel as relaxed as I can be when I go to dentist, listened to my fears, was professional, but very kind. If you are looking for this sort of care and compassion then definitely give them a go. My teeth look and feel clean but don’t have that terrible sensitivity that you often get after a scale and clean. Thanks guys - I will be back. PS - unlike other dental surgeries I was NOT pushed to give this review

Fantastic experience: Yesterday, me and my wife had our scaling done at Shine dental. We are very pleased with their service, and the scaling done was a lot better and comfortable experience in comparison to many dentals we have been to in Auckland. I highly recommend them and will definitely consider using them again.

Fantastic experience: I normally have a huge fear of going to the dentist. I've been twice to Davika and she and her team are amazing. The filling I had was less painful than scale and polishes I've had with other dentists. I can not recommend her enough (especially if you normally dread going to the dentist)

Negative experience: Had a three vouchers for here given to me as a gift. Made an appointment as the vouchers have extremely short validity. Had to cancel as we got the flu. Ended up rescheduling and being told that it was outside the expiry so they’d have to redeem them early and we wouldn’t be able to reschedule (terrible practice). My mother (60) got caught in traffic after an accident on the way in and couldn’t redeem hers. Then we get to the place and are told I would have to pay more because I’d been here xx years ago. Told the girl when I was making the appointment that I wasn’t sure if I’d been before but she didn’t bother to check her own records. There’s like 8 dentists in the area and it was how long ago? Idk if I’ve been there, that’s why you guys keep records. And you’d think they would have checked in the month and a half leading up to the appointment if they had a record of me. Ask how much extra it’ll be to pay and she “can’t tell me because it’s up to the dentist after the procedure” now I’m not even sure if I HAVE in fact been here or if this is how they make money and not using their equipment. If I could give 0 stars I would, my partner got to do his luckily so I’m only out $138, at least I got $69 out of my money spent.
