Fantastic experience: Got 3 wisdom teeth taken out - 2 of them were really badly impacted. got expensive quotes from other dentists & even got rejected by dentists due to the complexity of the surgery but here it was affordable & Dr Graeme was able to do the surgery easily & beautifully! had a easy recovery & great customer service from the receptionists as i called a million times after my surgery hahaha yet they never failed to pick up. super happy with my surgery & thank you so much to Dr Graeme! Did an amazing job & was also super kind :)

Its been the best experience we had with dental in New Zealand so far..from time of our first appointment to the last..dr Sunny look after me so well..Dr Sunny was so good as he pulled out the tooth giving as less pain as possible and didnt feel a thing really. Fantastic experience: Had a tooth that required repairing with a massive filling, complicated by my own delay with the tooth above growing into the space. Work was done very quickly, efficiently and painlessly. I didn't catch the name of the dentist, a young guy, trained in Otago. His manner was friendly & professional, and his skill, exceptional. Very happy to find a good dentist. And bonus, the bill was lower than I expected too.

Fantastic experience: Very affordable and great, friendly staff!

Negative experience: Went here to have a zirconia crown recemented after it had fallen out the day before, it was the long weekend so my regular dentist was closed. The crown was in excellent condition so needed the tooth and crown to be cleaned to remove the old cement and be recemented. I was very unhappy with the service, the dentist didn’t sandblast the tooth and crown beforehand to remove the old cement so it was sitting too high. I don’t feel it was placed correctly as there is a space between the crown and gums and I can stick my nail it and feel my tooth in between. They then ground down the crown so much that it is no longer sitting on tooth below it - there is a space between the upper and lower teeth. They told me they ground it so much they can see the original tooth through the crown and I would need to get a new crown made :/ While they were grinding I could feel it kept slipping off my tooth and ended up grinding my gums 3-4 times - I felt like they were not careful during the process. Paid $250 for 15 mins of this specialist service and I am incredibly upset.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with my recent experience here with Sunny Kim who is friendly and professional. I came for X-rays and to fix an old filling and am really pleased with the result and quick/painless experience. Sunny's minimally invasive/monitoring approach is reassuring too, and I appreciated the advice he gave :)

Negative experience: I called the dental clinic to book an appointment to see a hygienist. The receptionist booked me in the same day. I confirmed with her the appointment was to get a deep clean and she agree and priced me $150. When I attended my appointment I confirmed again that it was for a deep clean only to tell me that I was booked for a basic clean and X-rays and consultation . I was very confused as I was very clear from the beginning . The dentist that I was booked with made me feel very uncomfortable made me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about . I told her I wanted a deep clean only and she refused to understand me. She continued to do a basic clean and to tell me she is better than any hygienist, the job took her 15-20 minutes and I felt she did not do a near good enough job. I feel it was all rushed and she did not pay any attention to detail. They wanted to still charged me $150 even tho she only did a basic clean and cut two of my wires from my braces. I was not happy with anything i had experienced in the short amount of time and was very confused as to why they were still charging me the same price she gave at the beginning when I only got a basic clean. The receptionist said that she now will only charge me $120 and that’s because they cut two wires. I am so disappointed that I spent this amount for a not even near half done job. I would NOT recommend this dental clinic to anyone. They claim to be cheap but if I had of know why I would have spent an extra $50 to get my teeth professionally cleaned by a Hygienist. Truely disgusted.

Fantastic experience: I personally find this place really caring and easy to access. I have had Michelle and Sunny as my dentists and both have been kind and professional. I am terrified of dental work so it’s saying something that I don’t mind coming here. There’s some previous reviews for the white cross doctors next door that are negative and they have accidentally reviewed the dentist instead. Therefore the rating for St Luke’s dental should be higher. The receptionist is also super nice.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth removed a little over two weeks ago and am in no pain whatsoever, was able to have the procedure on a Tuesday with IV Sedation (highly recommend this) it cost me a fraction of what the other company’s around town were charging and I can’t fault them. I rate them 5 stars because two special people made the experience so much better than I could have anticipated by going above and beyond the call of duty. That was Tracey who works in the reception she was sympathetic to the fact I was on a budget and genuinely cared about the end result she went so far as to help me to the car afterwards where I had my father waiting to drive me home. Then there was Graeme Christie the dentist who is an absolute pro he talked me through the whole procedure before hand and gave really valuable consultive advice. He took the tooth out neatly without causing any real damage to my jaw and the swelling has completely subsided, I’ll also add my wisdom tooth was severely impacted to begin with on a full 90 degree angle under the other tooth. The following week he took my stitches out and told me exactly what to expect I returned to work on Monday without any issues carrying out my tasks. I believe you guys are in the industry because you truly care about doing your best for your patients and I can’t thank you guys enough. Keep doing what you’re doing you bloody legends!

Negative experience: Took my husband here thinking he needed his wisdom tooth removed, however it was just a normal gum infection yet the doctor insisted he proceed to take all four wisdom teeth out and for what reason??? When the the teeth were perfectly fine he just needed antibiotics. They stabbed his mouth 10 times to make sure he was numb which he wasn’t on each attempt and was very painful to sit through which is why my husband decided to leave straight away! The doctor seemed as if he was annoyed my husband didn’t want the teeth removed and just asked for antibiotics because he wanted money! Later that night my husband was in excruciating pain due to how much they stabbed at his mouth and had to take a week off work! DONT BOOK THEM THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS THEY WANT MONEY!!!!

Fantastic experience: Went to this Dentist for my Wisdom tooth to be extracted. Had Dr Gayatri Singh as my dentist. Was very happy with the service she provided me. Visiting dentists is not something I'm always keen on, but was happy to have someone who made me feel comfortable and relaxed during the whole procedure. Thank you Gayatri for making me smile from start to finish! And for always reassuring me of every little thing. Would totally visit again!

Fantastic experience: I have visited White Cross Dental last week for my tooth filling. Dr Michelle who did my treatment. I was extremely happy with her professionalism and the way she treated me. i highly recommend White Cross Dental Clinic. Pros: - not too pricey - provides clear information and treats patient with great professionalism Cons: - the parking: the only problem is the parking, they have very less parking spot, which is why sometimes we have to park far away (off road) and walk there.

Negative experience: I was before Christmas to make a filling. my little girl was with her dad(my husband )in the hall and they were waiting for me, and the dentist after a discussion about children told me that he hates children, (you don't say that to a mother) and you don't say that you are also a dentis for children ... plus I left my piece sharp tooth that always cuts my tongue. after a few days I started to have pain but I thought it was normal but after several periods of pain I decided to go back (this after 5 months) to see if there is a problem .... the dentist spoke to me ironically, laughed with nurse, asked the problem that I should clean my teeth professionally (talking in a laugh) ... I did, but the pain still exists. Non-professionals, I do not recommend

Fantastic experience: Awesome...everything ! From initial contact /phone call - which entailed a verbal consult with triage nurse - ..to follow up call from reception asking if I could attend 2 hours earlier than initial appointment ( due to cancellation ) ....then blown away by Sonny , the dentist. Great attitude..as he actually enters reception area & introduces himself prior to inviting you into surgery ..I found this approach very relaxing & a touch I'm not accustomed to from any white collar professionals in the past. The following prognosis was delivered in layman's language & I couldn't help but feel I was in very competent hands. I've attended dentists throughout the world - incl. Vietnam , Thailand , Poland , Portugal, Australia & Czech Republic - & although most were very competent & professional I rate Sonny's overall experience as exemplary. Finally, the cost floored me...$65.00 included the X-ray..& that's without insurance of any kind. Unreal ! ( I was anticipating well over double especially after similar consults internationally..& it was a SATURDAY ! )

Waiting for 5 hrs to see a doctor in nz its sucks and on the top they ask you to pay money for waiting for 5 hrs ... Guys better find some other clinic to visit.... And nurse name is sue so next time if u see her over there make sure you keep track of your number

Fantastic experience: I would give this place 10 stars if i could! Had an emergency situation where my wisdom was unbearably infected and nurofen wasn't helping. Rushed over to this clinic and was received by Ashleigh (the dental surgeon), who was friendly, non-judgemental and did everything to make me feel at ease as possible. She talked me through the procedure, expected cost, and all the while making pleasant conversation to ensure I was comfortable. Although the actual procedure was unavoidably unpleasant, Ashleigh extracted my tooth swiftly/confidentially and I felt assured that I was in experienced/safe hands. The extraction was reasonably priced (I'm an aussie without healthcare), and was quicker than expected. Although quick, Ashleigh was thorough - gave me ample anaesthesia to make double sure I wouldn't feel anything and also double-checked that she had taken out everything after she extracted my badly infected wisdom. What was even more surprising, was that i received a followup call the next afternoon to see how i was doing and when i said i experienced minor pains still, they said they would call in to check again the next day - which they did! It's now significantly better as Ashleigh predicted, and I am extremely thankful for her help! Fantastic dental surgeon and clinic - they really go above and beyond!!

Negative experience: Extremely poor service. Wait time was about 3 hours for my recent visits. They weren't able to do a proper job of putting a cast on and had to get it redone at another clinic.
